Mini wholesome headcanons for the Bros

Whenever they both hug, Mario has to take his cap off because it always falls off of his head since Luigi, being taller, leans close to him and knocks it off. And now, they have learned to just, be at eye level for hugs or…Luigi bends down some more (they absolutely refuse to not wear their caps because they are absolute weirdos)

Luigi definitely uses a rubix cube as his fidget toy, or maybe even a toy car since he probably messes with the wheels (the toy truck used in their commercial is the same one Baby Luigi had in the flashback)

Mario probably says a lot of puns that hurts Luigi’s brain (Sans and Papyrus dynamic perhaps?)

Mario probably had a lot of bandages on his knees as a kid.

Realistically, siblings fight. And the only argument I can see happening was Luigi wanting a turn on Mario’s games and immediately quitting when he couldn’t get it right.

Mario chews very loud.

Luigi IMMEDIATELY telling that Mario has a crush on Peach before Mario even knows.

Luigi is probably SO clumsy that Mario “Luigi proofs” the house/room.

Mario is not allowed in the kitchen because Luigi says “MY DOMAIN!”

Mario/Daisy friendship headcanons I promised to provide!

A popular headcanon for Luigi/Peach is them baking together and it’s usually a very calm activity for them. For Mario and Daisy, however, it would be the exact opposite. It starts out with a simple idea to bake a cake for Peach and Lu to show their appreciation and they go to the kitchen and get supplies, and as they start they both realize that they don’t have any idea how to bake. “It’s fine! There’s cookbooks all over the place that tell you exactly what to do!” Insists Mario, and so they try that at first but since they’re both stubborn asf at times they end up deciding “screw it we don’t need these useless instructions! This looks too easy!” And then they start messing up with the measuring and how long things stay in the oven and long story short a fire starts and everything slowly descends into madness.

They often tease each other about their crushes on Peach and Luigi. Peach will say something sweet to Mario which makes him blush, and after she walks away Daisy leans over with a mischievous smirk, probably commenting on how his face is blending in with his red hat. He covers his face and tells her to shut up (respectfully)

Or when Daisy gives Luigi a kiss on the cheek, Mario childishly goes “ooooooh!” and she pushes him to the ground.

Video games are a battle to the death for these two. If Daisy is in the movie verse I imagine he would introduce games to her which she quickly gains a lot of skill. But of course they’re both super competitive. So whenever someone sees them with controllers in their hands they know to leave the room cuz it won’t take long for the loud screams of pure rage to fill the air.

They also take that completion outside video games. They often have other types of matches such as arm wrestling, checkers, anything that involves an opponent really. It gets tiring to watch at times.

(This is specifically for Wonder) Mario gets the elephant fruit and transforms. He’s mildly confused at first but snaps out of it when he hears Daisy burst out laughing, bending over and holding her stomach. “You look so dumb!!” She shouts through her cackling. Later on in the adventure she gets the fruit as well and looks at her elephant-appearance. Mario folds his arms with a smirk, suppressing some laughter. “You were saying?”

One day Luigi comes home wiping away tears. Both Mario and Daisy go over to him asking what’s wrong. He tries to shrug it off saying someone pushed him on the street earlier, but insists he’s not upset so he tells them not to worry. They both give each other a look. Later that day, after somehow getting some more information, they ring the doorbell of someone’s house. The person opens the door to be greeted by Mario crackling his knuckles while Daisy wields a bat in her hand.

Classic sibling moments where one of them sees a random animal/creature and will point at it and go “that’s you”

After a long day of their absence, Mario and Daisy return home looking absolutely wrecked and disheveled. Their hair’s a mess, their clothes are dirty and ripped, scratches and burn marks on their arms and faces. Everyone else is concerned, but Luigi and Peach immediately scold them and ask what the hell they’ve been up to. They both smile awkwardly and reply “nothing!” in perfect unison. (*cue loud explosion in the background*)

When Mario is sick: *is bundled up in blankets with an ice pack on his head, Luigi checks his temperature every hour, makes soup and feeds it to him, bakes cookies, kisses him on the forehead and clears his entire schedule so he can take care of Mario*

When Luigi is sick: *Mario panics, calls Peach and asks her what to do every two hours, tries and fails miserably to cook, has no idea what he's doing but Luigi doesn't care and is just happy that his brother loves him enough to try to take care of him even if he's completely out of his element, tells him what medicine to get at the store before passing out*

So I know canonically Luigi gets a lot of flack from the other smb characters, being all second-best or whatever BUT I had a thought considering the Mario Movie canon™.

Imagine you're a toad in the mushroom kingdom and this weirdo nobody shows up, is literally seemingly insignificant and runs off with the princess somewhere, then like 2 days later you find out he literally saved two entire dimensions of reality and THEN you learn he has a Tall, Handsome Brother too

I have to imagine particularly in this canon he's just as famous as his bro. Even though he was trapped by Bowser most of the time I feel like it's outweighed by his simpability. He's just the handsome brother. Cool Daniel, if you will.

mario and Luigi's family headcanons!

Got bored so I thought I'd give my own thoughts on the fam!

-The bros father is the oldest child, uncle Arthur is the middle child and Tony is the youngest.

-Their grandpa is their mom's father.

-After the adventure, everyone in the family brags about the bros, with the Mom, uncles and cousin being the most frequent.

-Grandpa is slowly losing himself. It won't be long before he can't remember the family anymore :(.

-As stated previously, the bros father isn't as close to his brothers due to being the responsible oldest child.

-Aunt Marie is a doting mother to her girl, and Arthur is a caring father as well. (Though occasionally still gets light teasing cause it's uncle Arthur, c'mon)

-their mom was the one that made their hats, finding it cute for twins to have matching clothing.

-Aunt Marie is a total gossip, she loves talking to her family about her coworkers and other drama. And she's a hairdresser.

-Tony's a wannabe Casanova, he tries to woo but fails. Arthur teases him about this.

-the family was born in Italy, making Mario, Luigi and their cousin first generation.

-The cousin thinks K is a valid reply.

-The dad has a stable job as a physical worker of some kind. He's big, but hefty. Will beat you in arm wrestling.

I was making Christmas cookies and got to thinking about little Mario and Luigi decorating Christmas cookies, because of course Mama would bake them and buy a ton or decorations for the boys to use.

Head canon: Luigi was very intricate and spent up to 10 minutes decorating each cookie. No two could be too similar and every one had to be a work of art. Every little sprinkle shake was carefully and well planned

Mario would just get as much frosting smeared on them as he could before doing the same with the sprinkle pouring, making a mess of the table 🤣

I've just had a thought if they used Luigi's mobile number for the SMB company phone number. Did they do that to help him with anxiety talking to people on the phone or was it just easier that way??

Coz let's face Luigi totally would have anxiety ringing people he didn't know and also answering unknown numbers

Mario and Daisy have such strong sibling energy. They can roast each other and purposefully make each other mad all they want, but the second someone else even looks at one of them funny the other goes apeshit and won’t hesitate to beat the living crap out of them

I'm not really into Mareach all that much, I prefer to think of Mario and Peach as friends who are kind of into each other but not enough to want to be a couple, but I like to imagine that if they got together they'd have a serious discussion about Luigi

Like, Mario stresses to her that she has to get along with Luigi (and she does, of couse) because he's not going anywhere and she needs to understand that he will always choose Luigi over her if the situation calls for it

And Peach is totally cool with it because she likes Luigi and doesn't want to make him feel like Mario is being taken away from him, she's prepared his own private room in the castle right down the hall and she's so busy running the kingdom that she doesn't want to be Mario's only source of happiness so it works out very well for her

And Luigi kinda feels bummed that Mario's going on dates with the princess instead of hanging out with him all the time but its more than compensated by seeing Mario happy with her, and Peach frequently invites Luigi anyways because she enjoys his company and the three of them just get along extremely well
