4.) a story idea you haven’t written yet
oh my god i want to write a canon divergence au about youji/tiffone... where she survived and moved to japan and they started dating... they were so good together in the theatre of pain drama cd god i need them to fuck!!! i need them to be the hottest couple in 1990s tokyo!!!
5.) first sentence of the fifth paragraph of an unpublished WIP
from the high school au sktk wip:
Zura and Gintoki take one look at the note and proceed to show him one of the worst acting he’s ever seen in his life, with Zura sweating bullets and Gintoki barely able to hold in his laugh, and neither are meeting his eyes.
8.) if you had to write a sequel to a fic, you’d write one for…
saudade. i've toyed with the idea before, lmao. it's from takasugi's pov, and opens with him freaking out the next morning bc his memory of the dinner was hazy. and then i think the culmination will be sktk having sex but takasugi is pretending to be aloof about it. like he wants to make a point that they're physically intimate but not emotionally. basically just him being petty.
...and yeah you know it's never gonna be written bc it's smutty and i can't write smut

17.) talk about your writing and editing process
my writing process is very disorganized lmaooo. i don't do outlines, i mostly just try to keep track of what scenes i want to be in it and write whichever section my brain feels like writing. eventually once the core scenes are written down i do the scenes that connects them with one another.
i also don't do first draft second draft etc. what's already written IS what's gonna be posted, i just give it a few read to try and catch any typos. at most i'll rework a line because i feel like it's too clunky or doesn't fit the character voice enough.
19.) the most interesting topic you’ve researched for a fic
probably researching the kochi prefecture to write aqua terrarium. i'm now enamored with this place that i've never even been to. the watatsumi shrine at the katsurahama beach lives in my mind rent free.
25.) besides writing, what are your other hobbies?
unfortunately all my other hobbies are media consumption. i just watch anime & read mangas all day.........
30.) share a fic you’re especially proud of
to live with yourself!! like my character voice for nie mingjue... capturing the dynamic of the nie brothers... the ambiguous ending... oh she's my favorite child lowkey lmaooo
and of course this scene:

At first i thought it was boring like the whole direction imo lacked a bit. Some scenes were cut off in a hurry tht it didn't rlly make sense but then
Like boom they changed off real quick.
And tbh Bollywood needs movies like this Like PUHLEASEEEE it's been like a drought and like some type of a water fountain it emerged. (Wow dramatic much?)
But still the ending was abrupt...i was like wha- that's it? But i enjoyed and it gv off pure 90s vibes esp. Govinda vibes. Like it was sort like hero no 1 but nvm i won't say I loved it but yes it was def ok and bearable and enjoyable and fun 😌👌

see just from the trailer it looked a little sad, i think the hype around him became too much after this last good one so it was blind to happen— he’s usually smart w his choice of movie but what happened with this 😭😭 he suits comedy but like the ones like sktks one! BEARABLE?? BDMWBDKW bollywood needs imtiaz ali back, classic slb and the retirement of salman khan, stree comeback, srk action only, dp in a romcom w ranbir & ranveer to not embarrass us every 2 secs in america to make everything better <3
tho im vvvv exicted for ranbir's new movie,, gives very yjhd era vibes from him in the trailer screamed seeing him in a suit <3,,, and it feels like an old classic bolly romcom with sarcastic comedy <3

fem!aya. to which some people would say "you've already written aya's pov before". but aya being a woman imo changes a lot of things, ok, so i'd it's still technically a new terrain.

-genderbent ayyj wip: well for the most part i'm just thinking about how interesting genderbent weiss (always a different sex au trope specifically, not magical genderbending) could be in terms of how it changes their personality and dynamics and i'm hoping that others will find it interesting too
-youkai au sktk wip: the emotional conflict i had in mind doesn't really align with tatsuma's personality so now i'm stuck because at the idea of having to change so much of the plot
-i have this wip about tatsuma's injury where he has 1 member of the medic team assigned to help him with his needs as he heals but i wonder if people will think its unrealistic.....

hmmm i feel like my taste in tropes havent changed at all sgdhjskd oh maybe "really forward girl x timid guy"? considering my 2 new otps are yamada/sasaki from smoking behind the supermarket & übel/land from frieren.

for plot i mainly just go "ok so what do i wanna see from this ship/character". i find that those like "prompt inspo" thing and stuff doesn't really do anything for me.

i removed it because i think it's redundant, all these were already implied in the very first scene

uhhh if we're talking first first, before i had my ao3 i was posting some really bad kpop fics on livejournal. i don't remember the year tho, maybe around 2014-2015?

third-person limited pov.
like i know that's just an actual writing term, but its very important to me when it comes to my own writing! i love getting inside a person's head and fully understanding them, and that includes knowing the limit of their knowledge and perception, because that's something that shapes a person's worldview too.

Could you please not use the word 'queercoded' for SOTY & SKTKS? We all headcanon the characters as queer people. The screewriters actually didn't put effort to write the characters and the relationship to appeal to queer audience so they are NOT queercoded. It's just our headcanon. Thanks.
Valid concern. Here's my point. There's two types of queercoding. Queercoding on purpose and accidental queer coding.
Purposeful queer coding existed in 90s and before. It was mostly with gender subversion and it was for laughs or for showing villainy.
After 2000s, creators could not get away with queercoding because now audience was aware at large- where the city demographic was more or less okay but there would be risk with the rural audience. Hence if you see, after 2000 there's less queer coding but more explicit gay characters or situations but they are always in western/modern/city setting. Kal ho na ho. Fashion. Dostana.
But now came the accidental queercoding. This is what you refer to as headcanon. Where we see some illusions of queerness: passing over straight romantic interest in favour for your dude best friend, a woman that stays single throughout, two women with very close bond.
There's nothing exclusively queer about this. And it was more or less for narrative purpose. But queer people see it and they 'headcanon' it as queer. Hence, accidental queercoding. Accidental queercoding does happen but it's obviously harder to prove because we can never know the thought process of creators for sure.
Now this was my thinking, obviously not as detailed, but that was why I used the word queercoding.
But I do understand your point. The more popular use of queercoding involves coding on purpose and we should not give 'credit' to the creators for something that we do.
I will be more careful in future. And the next Queer Bollywood night, I'll clarify this in advance.
Thanks for reaching out, it made for some good food for thought in morning. And I think I'm gonna find some material to read on queerness in modern cinema, because there's 100% that I might be wrong lmao.
