can i request a fic with a gn!reader taking a bath with jayce or viktor? either one would be good, but if you want to make it poly i wouldnt mind either :-)) i love your writing, its always a pleasure to read :-D!
A/n: Howdy there friend, and thank you so much for the kind words! I love making works for y'all and I'm so happy to hear from each and every one of you! I typically would have tried to do all three options, but I just got a really good idea with Jayce and ran with it instead. Anyways, please let me know what you think, and don't be afraid to comment or reblog as they fuel the think tank
A bathing scenario with Jayce
There was oil everywhere. Everywhere. Up the walls, on the floors, there was even a speck or two on the ceiling. The fucking ceiling. How did any of this happen, you might ask? Well…
“Jayce, why is the…everything… covered in oil?” you ask in shock after barging into the lab moments ago. Jayce stood in the middle of the mess assessing the damage.
“One screw. One loose screw made this mess, Y/n,” he huffed in frustration. “I was loading the oil into the tank and I forgot to retighten the screw after the change. And when you have a machine the size of a small room with an oil tank the size of a dining table you get oil everywhere.” He gestured half-heartedly to the lab with a sigh.
You watched in sympathy as he dragged his feet to the janitorial closet in the corner, wobbling and skidding slightly in the process. “Babe, I hate to ask, but would you mind helping? I know it isn’t your mess and you absolutely do not have to help if you don’t want to but-” Jayce’s fluffing and fumbling are interrupted with a skreeeeeeee from a desk being pushed. He turns to see you moving a desk away from the wall in order to see the crystal clear outline of filth that the oil had left around where the desk was.
“Jayce, do you want first dibs with the scraper thing or the mop first?” you offered softly whilst placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. Before you could remove your hand from his shoulder, he grabs ahold of your hand with his own and pulls you into a tight embrace, letting out a shuttered breath, then mumbling something that was close enough to the word mop.
You give him a squeeze back before leaving his embrace to start scraping the walls down and getting the excess oil off before returning with a wet cloth to wipe it clean. As you repeated this process over and over again, Jayce mopped up the puddles of oil off the floors and swiped away layers of caked grime.
By the time the both of you had cleaned the lab so it was gleaming, the moon had long since graced the glass windows with her luminous glow. After locking up the lab, you both make your way through the streets of Piltover hand in hand while surrounded with comfortable silence.
Jayce stumbles up the stairs to your apartment and leans against the wall as you fish your keys out of your pockets blindly, too tired to bother looking for them with your eyes that are barely able to stay open. Eventually the key finds its lock and the door swings open with yours and Jayce’s combined weight with a slam against the wall. You grunt in acknowledgment before making a bee-line for the bathroom to start the water for a bath. Jayce at least has the mind to take his shoes off by the door and to place his coat on the hanging rack before following you around like a lost puppy. You start to shed your layers of clothing while Jayce does the same but facing away from you.
“You’ve seen me naked before Jayce. I’ve seen you naked before. This isn’t our first bath together, you don’t need to close your eyes or anything,” you chuckle with a smirk.
“I know, I was just being polite Y/N,” he admits with a kind smile as he turns to face you. You both take a moment to look at one another and see the smears of oil across your skin, the beads of sweat across your brows, and the look of dopey happiness on each other’s faces as you notice the other staring. You both breathe a soft laugh out before you turn your attention to the running water in the nick of time. Jayce hands you his favorite bath salts that help relieve tension in muscles and relax for you to put into the water as he gets your towels ready from the rack behind the door. You grab the pouch of bathing supplies from under the sink and slip into the almost too hot water with a sigh. Jayce follows you in with a choked noise of shock.
“I thought you said we were having a bath, not a boil, babe,” he simpered. “It isn’t a boil Jayce, it’s not even that hot,” you stated, watching the steam roll up from the waters and fill the bathroom with humidity.
Jayce reaches passed you to the stool that had your bathing supplies atop it in a neat basket that was a housewarming gift from his mother. The basket was complete with soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and oils a plenty; she had made sure to get you your favorites along with some new ones that she recommended you give a try. “Lilac or coconut body wash, babe?” You hum with thought before coming to your decision, to which Jayce begins to lather your choice on a loofah and begins to wash your back in gentle circles while kneading at the muscle underneath in a makeshift massage for your tired body. As he washes your back, you begin your hair routine as usual, and hum softly for the both of you as you work.
After a while he rinses off your body with the now warm waters, careful not to ruin your hair care routine. You thank him for his care and kindness and begin to turn in the waters, some sploshing over the edge as you trade places with the man. Ever so gently you lather his back with his favorite body wash and press firmly into his thick, tense muscles in a way that earns a few moans of relief from the councilor. Rinsing off the suds of soap from his tan skin, you press a kiss in between his shoulder blades at his spine.
Slowly rising from the water, he offers you a hand up and out of the tub and into a fluffy towel, then grabs his own after pulling the drain plug. Both of you waddle into the bedroom and dry off before reaching into the night stand and getting a bottle of lotion. Laying down on the bed, Jayce rolls onto his stomach in preparation for you to straddle his hips and give him an actual massage to ease his muscles that are always tense from one thing or another. One perk of Jayce being so big and muscular is that you never need to worry about hurting him with too much pressure during these events, especially considering that his stress runs deep. But at the end of the day, you’re always there for him and to help ease his worries in any way possible, and you know he would do the same for you in a heartbeat.
After you’ve finished working the knots out of his back, he rolls onto his side and watches you take his position next to him so he may return the favor and knead at your muscles and worries with large, strong hands that make the world around you melt away. Pressing, stretching, and rubbing, he slowly but surely works the kinks out of your body one by one. Once your back is fully taken care of, he pulls back the covers and takes you in his arms before placing a kiss on your lips, filled with love and passion.
“Good night Y/N, I love you,” he whispers.
“Good night Jayce, I love you more,” you whisper back, drifting into a peaceful sleep, waiting for what the next day will bring the both of you.

Hi ash!! I absolutely adore your writing, the characters you make are all so compelling and complex, i simply love them!
I really like the way you write therapy sessions in your stories. I can tell that a lot of thought goes into those. (And your writing in general, naturally.) Now, i have had multiple stories where i want to include therapeutic/psychological help. And i have no trouble imagining the defensiveness/avoidance/breaking down that my characters would do. However, I'm at a loss for what to make the therapist say in response!
When i try looking up "what to say to someone going through X" i get kinda cookie cutter "their emotions are valid" stuff. I don't know how to make the dialogue professional, not-cliche, and actually insightful.
Now, as i said, I'm sure a lot of work goes into your research, so i don't expect a full step-by-step on what to do. But could you point me in the right direction? I'd really appreciate any tips you could give. Thank you very much in advance.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Skreeeeeeee you are too kind, Anon.
My therapy scenes are heavily informed by having been in therapy at one point, reading books that are written by and for therapists/academics in the therapeutic industry, and also - videos! You can find videos on what to expect at a therapy appointment, the kinds of questions you might be asked. Those are really really helpful for nailing down the tone and the little visual or audio details that a book can't necessarily provide.
