it's really fucking disorienting being Jewish right now. Like I've always figured that if I'm saying something and the majority is saying the opposite, I should at least be open to their position and give it due consideration before reaching my conclusions about an issue.

Kody has always reminded me of my dad who was physically abusive to my older 4 siblings and his first wife and verbally abusive/"I've grown and changed" narc toward his 2nd family. I wouldn't put it past Kody to have physically abused the OG3 but I also wouldn't doubt that he's either physically or otherwise abusive to Robyn and especially the kids.

You're definitely not the only one who's thought that. Even before his red-pill nonsense, people used to say they thought Kody was possibly physically abusive. I've personally never gotten that vibe, I think Kody is certainly mentally and emotionally abusive, but I also have no experience with DV so I might just not know what to look for. I definitely had a dad like Kody in the sense that he had a short fuse and had little to no ability for self-reflection though lol.

But like I mentioned in that ask where some rando got mad at me, the likelihood of pretty much every type of abuse skyrockets in fundamentalist households, and probably especially in polygamist fundie households with all the extra people and stress. Mykelti has mentioned Meri getting physical with her at one point too which I wouldn't have expected from Meri at all, so if we found out there was some other physical abuse going on bt Kody and any of the wives/kids I guess I wouldn't be surprised.
