— Sir Christopher Lee, 2001 Bolero interview on Monte Carlo TMC, with Denise Fabre.
I love this: Sir Christopher Lee's thoughts on the similarities between Dracula and his own personality from his memoir Lord of Misrule. The Dooku parallels are KILLING me.
They'd worked together on a few movies before, but on small parts, and they'd not interacted, but years later, when they were cast in "The Curse of Frankenstein" in 1957, they soon became firm friends.
Apparently Lee dashed into Cushing's dressing room, complaining that "I've got no lines!"
Cushing quipped, "You're lucky. I've read the script."
And they were pretty much best friends from that point on.
