Oh I Swore I’ve Seen You Before… 10,000 years ago.

(Lucifer’s version) or (Your version)?

In which he’s experiencing the day where he fell for his love and to their doom, he’ll always choose the same path, even now.

Warnings - Lucifer’s delusional, nothing spicy of note

Even now, 10,000 years later, Heaven still played him like a joke but whatever this was he kept experiencing, he’d started to think that this was out of Heaven’s control.

He just wanted to visit the secluded place in a park he and his family always had their picnics in, he heard that the trees were blooming once more. He only wanted to sit on that painfully familiar bench for a few minutes to think when he suddenly hid behind a tree and away from your unsuspecting gaze.

What were you doing there? This location was supposedly secret, was it not?

He had just about left before he heard a sob escape your lips.

And it took him back to that one faithful day, in the garden of Eden…

“Are you alright, little lady?”

You were startled out of your sorrow and looked to your right where a stranger had taken a seat next to you. Sure, you didn’t know him but something in his eyes made you feel that you could trust him enough with a secret.

“No, is it not obvious? My boyfriend’s an asshole.”

You tucked your knees to your chest and buried your face there, staring out at nothing in particular as you muttered bitterly.

Oh great, even the story’s playing out the same plot.

Lucifer’s face had its smile but he looked like his head was empty, and it prompted you to look at him funny with a scowl. His heart almost went into cardiac arrest when he saw your face and he cursed his Father above,

Why the fuck did you look like her? Especially when you do that face?

“Hello? Creepy stranger?”

You waved a hand at the now pale (it was nigh impossible for him to look any paler than he did but he did it) guy’s face and you jolted back when he collected himself with a loud fit of coughs,

“Oh! I am so sorry to hear that.”

“No need, I dumped him.”

“What?”

“I’m Y/N. You?”

“I’m Luci-“

…

“I’m Lucas. You’re brave, Lilith.”

“Excuse me?”

I said before that Alastor is meant to represent Pride just like Lucifer - but have people been paying attention to how Alastor's design mirrors Lucifer's, proving that he is meant to be the rival/evil double of Lucifer?

I mean, we know how Alastor and Vox are meant to mirror each other already, and the parallels are plenty... But whereas Vox seems to be trying to imitate Alastor, Alastor seems to imitate/double Lucifer in turn...

Think about it. Both have suits with bowties - but Lucifer is small and cute, Alastor is tall and creepy. Lucifer is white-colored and retains his angelic features ; Alastor is a dark red and has clearly a much more demonic appearance (his ears even doubling as horns). Both have a cane/staff (Lucifer's apple cane, Alastor's radio-staff). Both are "showmen" but whereas Lucifer is clearly the more genuine, goofy one (explicitely referencing Aladdin's Genie), Alastor is the manipulative, cynical one (mirroring Doctor Facilier in his songs). Lucifer is associated with light ; Alastor turns into shadows to move around...

Yeah, these two were clearly designed to be two sides of a same coin. The heavenly fallen angel and the creepy satanic figure ; the "positive" and "negative" pride ; the king of hell that doesn't act like it, and the non-king of hell that acts as if he ruled the place...

I hope when Rosie shows up for her episode, she'll match Beelzebub somehow so I can add her to the list of Seven Princes/Overlord designed to oppose each other, after Lucifer/Alastor and Valentino/Asmodeus.... After all, what's best to be the demonic twin of the Prince of Gluttony than what seems to be the Overlord of the Cannibal Colony?

this is a Lucifer Morningstar redesign (kinda)

I was trying to convey a sort of false profit feel with the priest-like sleeves and the crown in the vague shape of a pope hat I was also trying to make them god/goddesslike bc as I said as God's former favorite I think he should be stunning and I gave her a mysterious atmosphere with the body being covered with a flowy cloth making any distinctive features less noticeable along with the rest of my design choices from my last post

Incase you didn't see it: I wanted him to feel more like the sin of pride and king of hell, with a false halo and obstructed face to show how he believes he's superior (kinda like an absolute monarch) and still divine, along with the eyes on his wings always looking at him portraying how self-absorbed he is.

(forgive my rambling I just want people to enjoy and understand it as I do)

I think making Lucifer the sin of pride out of the seven is a really smart move.

Like said by Charlie when she reads Luci’s story at the very beginning, Heaven made it that Lucifer can’t see the good in humanity.

He gave free will to humans and bad things as much as good ones transpired from it but all he can see is the bad, all he’s able to see are sinners and their crimes.

You can see in the balcony scene how deeply disappointed and frustrated he is towards the fact he gave humans free will, like he says it himself « everything is terrible » about it.

When you take into consideration the fact that he’s the sin of pride just imagine how hurt he is. He is the most prideful man around hell, it’s literally his title, and they made him face a never ending shame for giving what he gave to humanity.

He’ll forever be convinced that he made an enormous mistake and will always feel shame and bitterness towards it, his pride is forever hurting whenever he remembers his act.

When you know like yeah, sinners are bad and everything the whole series represents it but he also created beautiful things he should be proud of but just can’t because Heaven prevent him from it.

Also, something that I find all the more interesting regarding Charlie this time is that he’ll never be able to support her dream fully. He is unable to see the good in sinners and will never think it possible. He will help her yes, which is amazing really, but he will never believe in it and he’ll forever suffer from it.

If I do say so myself it’s such a smart move from heaven to make him unable to witness the good in humanity as a punishment and also very clever from Vivziepop.

I always thought the Pharisees hated Jesus because he blasphemed by saying he was the Son of God, and they couldn’t see past their traditions.

But no! Maybe blasphemy was the reason they disliked him in the beginning.

But as Jesus shows himself to be God through more and more good works, culminating in the raising of Lazarus from the dead which precedes this passage, they actually hate him MORE which makes no sense if you think they’re concerned about blasphemy.

No, Jesus’ good works are leading more and more people to believe in him, thus decreasing the Pharisee’s power, influence, prestige.

The more the Pharisees see the glory of God in Jesus, the more they hate him, because it steals away THEIR glory.

So it is ego and pride, that cause the Pharisees to seek to murder Jesus.
