Engagements that Have Snuck Up on Me

I know exactly how this happened but I'm still surprised by it

So today was Flower Day, which Buck thoroughly enjoyed as a Sim who loves the outdoors. He got to talk to the Flower Bunny (I think he's done it before in his lifetime?), and he gave them a flower. Just like other times that I've had Sims gift others with flowers, the Flower Bunny was not pleased about being gifted a flower (for some reason?? It's literally their whole thing??), but as a whole it was a nice day for Buck.

He even got to talk to his mom for the first time in,,, a while, but Laurie was pretty uninterested, which was pretty hurtful, in my opinion.

There was also an option for Buck to apologize to Laurie, but I don't know what he would have said to her recently that would cause that (especially because they barely see each other since she moved out when he was younger), so I didn't do anything with that.

Later on, Mary Lu showed up and Buck chatted with her a little bit. I don't think they're friends yet, but he now knows that she has a part-time job, which is good to know. It's kinda weird that he knows the career of a school friend and not his brother or sister-in-law, but whatever. I suppose he has all the time in the world to find out about Flat and Flo's jobs.

A little bit later, Buck got the want to become enemies with Karissa, a Sim that he previously just wanted to be despised by, and so I yet again tried to track her down, but was ultimately fruitless. The game said she was at the gym, so I took him there to prepare to fight, but in the end he just got a BLT sandwich from a vending machine and watched some TV. I guess the ultimate showdown will be postponed for another day :/

To address the first picture and the title: yes, Rich is engaged with Latoya. Y'know, the Sim he just started dating? While Buck was waiting for Karissa to show up at the gym, he got a call from Rich with one of those story-telling blurbs that was all "I saw a ring in Latoya's bag, should I say yes?" and I just went with it, because I forgot that actions have consequences. I wasn't sure that those blurbs would actually affect the household that I'm actively playing, and since I have been toying with the idea of Rich and Latoya getting married, I went with it. I didn't even learn until later when I was looking through Rich's relationship panel and saw that it said they were engaged. They haven't even gone on a date yet! I have like,,, two, maybe three pictures of them, one of them being that first picture. I've decided to just go all the way, I planned a wedding for them the week before Rich ages up to an elder (Latoya is a little over half his age by the way), and I guess I'll see what comes of that.

He's already gotten the want to start a new relationship, which is absolutely nuts. The fact that Latoya, a Sim who is evil, a criminal, and hates children, is going to potentially be the Sim he marries is just,,, I would say it's out of nowhere, but given that Rich is just a asshole all around (despite not having any traits that would make him predisposed to being one), it makes sense. I guess with how fast everything is going, it just feels like a life crisis for Rich.

On a bit of a more lighthearted note, Moira seems to really like the stereo. It's one of those "pet obsessions" things for her, and honestly I think it's pretty cute.

7 Sins Legacy - generation 4 (pride)

Supriya's wedding dress arrived in time for the wedding and it was better than she could have ever imagined. The wedding took place in Myshuno Meadows central park that had been completely transformed to accommodate one of the biggest weddings in this legacy so far. They had invited over 30 guests (which is quite a lot in sims terms, because imagine trying to get all these guests to behave when you just want your sims to get married), and by the time everyone had arrived and was sort of seated, the sun was already setting. But this turned out the best scenario because the sunset made the sky turn all shades of pink an purple. It was dark at the end of the ceremony when the fireworks went off which just looked amazing.

How to set up the FUN party in the sims? 🎉

Questions to ask yourself

What is the event?

Who's invited?

Is there a theme?

Where is the party located?

What's the age of the sims?

Who is this party for?

Do I have to do any CC shopping for this event?

Do I need to download a mod for this party?

Gameplay Tips:

Take advantage of the seasons calendar to set up the event. Example: party spirit tradition, sims will do autonomous interactions that show they're feeling festive. Example: Give Gifts tradition, sims will give you gifts If you want sims not to work during the event, you can click for them to not go to work that day too

Set up VFX, if that's what your party needs [RVSN mod]

Create a menu for your sims, and prepare the food a day in advance

Consider sim's lifestyles. Is a sim a vegetarian, or lactose-intolerant? Are there any kids to give them pizza? Is there a junk food lifestyle sim you want to give them something greasy?

Buffet Table [use bb.moveobjects] to get more slots available

Set up Cannons in correct placement aligned with where you want your sims to celebrate

Have a recovered copy your save, if you don't want to go through the mess of cleaning/removing build mode objects. Not only that, but sometimes, you may need to film again. If you save before the party starts, you can keep replaying the party until you get the party you want (hope this makes sense)

The baby shower event from growing together, sims give the host gifts autonomously and sims celebrate properly when the cannon is fired

Set up cannons from growing together expansion pack, in a correct placement that is aligned with where you want your sims to celebrate accordingly

MWS wedding events are perfect for events you need sims to follow your instructions such as "dance" "gather around"

Steady seat is perfect for seating arrangements

Have a photoshoot area ready, if the party needs it, so you can pose your sims. I recommend custom pose shopping in advance, but after the fact isn't bad either; just don't delete the copy of your save until you've completed that.

Place gameplay objects you need for the party around the lot. Example: If it's a birthday party and there's space, have the pirate ship "rented". You know how parents add bouncy castles and stuff for events? Think of it like that.

When it comes to arranging the table, have your sim add the placemat from parenthood around the table. Sometimes, your sim may not be able to add the placement, you can go into build mode and move the placement to the one your sim couldn't and go back into live mode and have your sim do it all over again until every spot has a placemat. If you have better-build-buy mod, you can copy the debug object yourself and place it around.

When it comes to decorating and you are having issues with slots, I recommend OMSP. It is explained in my video at 28:18♥

If you're having a dinner party, have your sim "pick up serving" for drinks and food, your sim will place the food in their inventory and you can place it yourself around the table. Perfect example to see this is Joy of Life Legacy challenge when my sim had a Winterfest dinner party (33:26)*

Don't forget to add kiss of freshness lot modifier on your lot, so food doesn't expire

Place the food over the placemat, and have their drink to their right side.

Zero's drinking mod works like placemat where your sims can place drinks around the table. There's age appropriate drinks too like juices and sodas for child/teen sims.

The Sims 4 gallery contains rooms where there's food for your sims and if you didn't have time to cook. Miss_frogstar has a bunch of rooms for your sims that contain food. It's really detailed for you.

Have a serving table, if your party is meant to have a lot of guests and food. It takes the load off you, when you don't have to worry about table slots for larger events.

Create sims you can hire for events. Think of these sims like Nurse Joy from Pokémon. You can have this sim be a townie in all your saves. Cheat their skills and hire them for events/set their outfits.

Lock them doors LMAO! Sims love to misbehave and go everywhere, so it's easier to have them be in certain areas by locking the door of the rooms you don't want them to be in.

I also recommend saving the party decorated home in your gallery, so you can just place it again in the future and remix it to how you want it

Sometimes you got to combine different events to create the atmosphere you want in your game, so don't be too hard on yourself, if you feel like it's not going how you want. We all know parties in the sims isn't perfect at all

Sims 4 - Domaine des Amoureux

I had already built a chapel and a wedding venue at this location, but it was not very functional, especially if you have the My Wedding Stories gamepack. I will reuse the old chapel for another lot, probably a cemetery!

I had to playtest this lot before sharing it with you, it was an opportunity to see if the GP worked better. Well, everything seems to be pretty much okay, even if you have to micro-manage everything, it's not really fun! I really advise you not to invite too many sims, and not to plan too many activities (or maybe organize two different events for the reception and the dinner). The only real problem I had was with the first dance, my sims didn't want to do it on the dance floor, even when there was enough space.

Also, do not hesitate to move the table fo the toast, the one for the cake (that's the empty table at the back of the dining room), and the buffet, depending on your needs.

That's it! I hope your sims' weddings go as smoothly as possible!

For anyone that sees this, I just need all of you to know that I made the bg3 characters on the sims. Shadowheart and Lae'zel had a child named Xan. And I thought it would be really funny if I made Hatsune Miku to give Wyll a gf. But that fucking backfired. You wanna know what happened? Shadowheart ended up cheating on Lae'zel with Hatsune Miku. AND SHE FUCKING KNEW SHE WASNT SINGLE. LIKE SHE ASKED AND SHADOWHEART WAS LIKE "Sorry im seeing someone lol".... I remember being in a discord vc with my friends, went to go get a snack. I come back and theyre just going at it on her bed like WOAH what the FUCK is happening. I gave Lae'zel the jealous trait when I made her so you got Shadowheart cheating on her, Lae'zel getting concerned if shes cheating, and then Shadowheart having the gall to reassure her that everything was okay. So I wanted to be really dramatic. I decided that Shadowheart and Lae'zel were going to get married and I invited Hatsune Miku as a funny FUCK YOU. And Miku was sad when she got home so I made her use her video recording set up and make an apology video. I know this is a mess but I felt like it needed to be said. We don't support Sims 4 Shadowheart. Thank you for coming to my ted talk Edit: I forgot to mention that Astarion decided to make burgers at the wedding and then fucking burned himself to death. I wasnt even paying attention either. I was having Shadowheart make the wedding cake and all of a sudden, I see a notif that he fucking died
