I did it. I finally left. Part of me feels like I messed up but I know this is the right decision. I’ve been planning this for so long. I can’t believe I actually did it. However, I now live in an actual junk yard. I’ve been scouting this place for a long time & am pretty much 100% sure no one checks it. Hopefully I can clean this place up or find a landlord that will let a teen live in a unit before the end of the year. Either way I have my first day of High School Tomorrow. Hopefully no one there realizes my situation. Until then I better start making some plans. I know I made the right decision. I know I can do this.

Timeworn Leatherbound Journal V.2 [Simblreen 2023]

Hello everyone!

You remember my "Timeworn Leatherbound Journal"? Well, here comes an upgrade!

The original Parenthood mesh for private journal is too small and thin, it did not make justice to my opulent textures. So, I decided to make another version, with a larger book mesh I ripped from Realm of Magic :) I also updated the swatches with higher quality textures, you can see the demonstration in the gif below.

Billy did not oversleep. In fact, he's been getting little to no sleep. Billy has been working on an old case on missing people and his team decided to put the case back in the archives. There wasn't enough evidence to solve it and he should be working on other stuff. Luckily he had the rest of the day off, so he quickly went to pick up Renee.

Yep that was Charlie in the background and he's showing off his new haircut to Renee, he's a bit self-absorbed 😂 but he's happy to see her again and is excited to show the spice festival that's in town!

Hello🐹Now that is near the end of the year, it's time for the personal top-5 list of my builds and CCs that I’m most proud of😤also a little bit of self-promotion…_(:з」∠)_

This year I did 22 builds (a little bit more than last year...xD) Last year I said I'd hope to build Mass Effect Normandy, Shepard’s apartment, a high school fit for the Cyberpunk 2077 world...but none of that happened..._(:з」∠)_ Well I'd hope again I'll be able to build those this year xD

Anyway…to the list! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

5. Komorebi Thrift and Bubble Tea Store🎦|| This year I tried to create a No-CC build every month, and honestly I'm quite surprised how much stuff sims 4 have (of course debug items included...xD). Interestingly, the thing I love most with this build is the vending machine at the entrance..._(:з」∠)_

4. Nomad Campsite🎦|| I had a lot a lot of fun building this. This turns out better than I imagined ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ Only thing I wished I could've done is make those tent a "real room" so electronics inside won't break..._(:з」∠)_

3. Waterfront Nightclub🎦|| I really really love those catwalks above the dance floor, it added so many potential to storytelling ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ This is also one of the very few builds that I'm not using in my game-play save...instead it's for you guys hehe🧡

2. Lestat’s Apartment🎦|| I love vampires and I love cyberpunk, this is one of my dream apartments xD The way the showcase video is made is also one of my favorites ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

1. Abandoned Subway Strip Club🎦|| I've build like 4~5 strip clubs now and honestly this is my favorite one ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ I just wish I had more space to really build the subway parts with more abandoned tunnels...

4. Miniature Space Hamster Set || When the poll results came out, I was kinda disappointed...but then I thought:😤I'll do it myself! And OMG I'm really not good at making build-mode items xD I'm also so glad that Sims 4 Studio added the function to mod stairs and fences just in time for the project ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

made a full sideblog for easier navigation @deadendsave - there’s a masterlist of all the journals + stray notes so everyone can read them easier instead of having to do it in-game. i also fixed a few errors and added more sentences that i couldn’t originally fit in the modded journals.

Entry 1: Cousins Trip to Sulani! Pt.1

Hey! Astrid Here! I am starting a journal to track all the travels I hope to have in my life. I want to be able to look back on this and be able to relive all the memories when I am older. So here it goes!

Me, my sister and our two cousins Penelope & Poppy are in Sulani for a girls trip! Let the bad decisions begin! (kidding.. unless..) Our first day here was filled with getting our tan on, building sandcastles, selfies, and finding our first (of probably many) bars.

I am so excited to be here with my girls experiencing this together. There really is nothing like warm sand, blue clear waters and a nice drink or two.

01. I need some input!

I've decided to call these save file posts "journal" entries moving forward in order to keep track of my progress, share thoughts along the way, and ig give ya'll a tag to block if you don't want to see posts about it (lol). My most recent development: I've been mapping out community lots and figuring which lot types would be useful/essential. So far I have the following:

Bowling Alley & Roller-skating Rink

Vet Clinic

Thrift & Tea

Gym (& spa maybe??)

Bar

Coffee Shop

Library

Park

Wedding Dress Venue & Portrait Place (concept inspired by LilSimsie)

Community Pool (would basically be a big, suburban rec center lot with the main feature being a pool - think the YMCA)

Laundromat

Hospital (replace the GTW one)

Maybe a daycare??

I personally like multi-functional lots, so I'm trying to incorporate as many of those as I can without sacrificing the in-game "buffs" that sims can get from certain lot types.

I'm extremely receptive and welcoming suggestions, so please let me know if there is something missing from this list that would be useful to you!!!! Or, alternatively, let me know if you think it unwise to do some of the combinations/lot ideas I have listed above!

#I'm probably not going to make a restaurant with Dine Out unless you guys want that #but I know we all have mixed feelings on Dine Out's functionality. While I putter around with my artifacts, Malia tackles a new project.

In between her work interviews, she starts writing a collection of short stories about living in Sulani during her college years - a mix of her personal experiences, and some of the traditional tales she learned there.

She submits it to the side of her employer that handles books - and they snatch it up for publication.

"They're probably still capitalizing off the notoriety from the Landgraab story," she says.

"Your writing is more than good enough to stand on its own, love," I tell her. "Even if the publishers are more motivated by profit, readers will recognize the quality of your book."
