How to Fully Overhaul The Sims 2 Bodyshop (Mods List)

Here are all the mods you can use to make your BodyShop look like this:

or even something like this:

This is how the default BodyShop looks. Is small, dark, and kinda ugly:

Brightness

The Brightening up BodyShop mod by WesHowe on MTS will make BodyShop look like this:

There are 3 levels of brightness to choose from. I use the XB version.

Widescreen + Clean/Starship UI

Using BodyShop Clean UI & Widescreen by SmugTomato on MTS with the previous mod, will make BodyShop look like this:

Or if you prefer a darker interface, you can use the Starship UI Bodyshop by redandvidya on MTS:

Backgrounds

There are two kinds of backgrounds on BodyShop; a 3D scene and a 2D image. The 3D scene is the one you see in the pictures above, and the 2D is a flat image that appears when you press F5. There are default replacements for both of these, and you can have one of each type at the same type without problems.

2D Backgrounds

If you want to change the background that shows when you press F5, you can use one of these plain color backgrounds by @kat-simss. Here's how one of these looks:

Or you can use one of these matching Clean UI backgrounds by 다블리. Here's how one of these looks:

3D Backgrounds

If you want to change the background that shows when you open BodyShop without you having to press F5, you can use one of these replacements by @socialbunny. Here's how one of these looks:

Or you can use one of these by windkeeper on MTS, that seem flat but are actually a 3D scene (so you can have 'flat' backgrounds without having to press F5 each time you open Bodyshop). Here's how one of these looks:

I'm on a defaulting roll for this long Easter week-end! this time with some clothes: afbottomflairedpantssandals and tfbottomflairedpantssandals replaced with 4t2 frayed jeans with peep-toe booties by @vulrien-sims and @pforestsims, tf conversion by @rudhira. I mixed and matched different shoe/pants colors and added the extra teen recolor for adults as well (it is decustomized but still doesn't show up next to the others in the catalog, sorry for that) Download flairedpantssandals (SFS) aftopmotojacket_ep7 and aftopmotojacket_ep8 replaced with @pforestsims' leather vests, short and long version respectively. I have managed to break bodyshop I think. Here's my problem. Every time I clone an outfit, it reduces the texture size by one mipmap level. So if the outfit has a 1024x1024 texture, the project file will have a 512x512 bmp in it. Cloning this new file will give me a project file with a 256x256 bmp. Yes I tested, and it will go down to 32x32 but then bodyshop crashes if that one is cloned.

I can still extract and replace the textures at optimal size in SimPE and the packages work in game so it won't stop my progress, but loading the original texture size in the bodyshop project file won't allow it to update the preview or import. It is super annoying not to be able to accurately preview in bodyshop.

I am using the SP09 bodyshop from UC, and I believe the only thing I've done to it is install a window expander (from clean ui maybe?) and brightness fixer. Maybe nostupidexpressions? Seriously basic stuff only.

If you know how I managed to break bodyshop, let me know please? Or if not, feel free to leave me a big L or whatever. It's kind of funny and I am aware :)

the sexygal is a new bodytype but most of my patreons and followers are more into the ("gnd" aka "bobbyth's girl next door) body type because it look more realistic compare to the sexygale who remind you of the BBL from real life and you can easily relate to it (they voted)

^^ I may try to include her for the months of august since I'm still make more 2000's fashion so I'll just make a GND outfit+sexygal.

for now the month of JULY will be focused on fantasy cc with the GND body :o but you can always vote for August your favorite bodytype

ufhairlong replaced with Bfly171 - converted by @redsimmer-blog As soon as I saw this mesh I fell in love with it, it's so pretty, nicely animated AND low poly (only 7,5k!). I knew it would be perfect as a default. Replaces tf-af, cf completer is included. Textures are the original ones (Io’s Edit of Pooklet v3 Textures with pf scalp texture) + my unnatural recolors for the mirror hairs Download (SFS) I've had this default in my game for over a year now, and never shared it because I was'nt 100% happy with the unnatural recolors I made. But I've sat on it long enough so here I go anyway...
