honestly I think a big appeal of jinx and silco specifically (to me obv) is that you have those relationships where you really don't know where they stand, where that hurt and manipulation and all the ways people can fuck each other up intermingles with trust and vulnerability and softness so tight and complex you really don't know what's real anymore, where one ends and the other begins. and I think it's easy to write these relationships where at the end all there ever is is abuse, a victim and a perpetrator, but it's harder to write it raw and real and believable and have there be love underneath it all and have that love be felt as true. like it doesn't make every part lf the dynamic healthy but the way you can write these characters as emotional beings whose get consumed by need for connection and everything that fucks up that connection... insane
