there is not enough online talk about pss (post sepsis syndrome) and I think that's the worst considering how absolutely case by case these things can be and how everyone can get different symptoms that surface at different times. like, can a bitch really have some peace of mind by knowing there is someone else with specific pss characteristics like me genuinely I think it's a shame this is such a little known about thing because as someone who recently survived severe sepsis and is getting hit with pss just now, months after hospital discharge, it would -really- help being aware that all of this body fuckery that is extremely unpleasant isn't just some mysterious unexplained thing this post may be going a bit too personal for what I usually post online about myself but genuinely, i wish none ever ends up afflicted with this shit like I am. it's debilitating

It's been a long time since I've read a book like this and I love it. With all my exams and assignments and worrying about my dissertation I've missed this kind of reading. It hurts but in a familiar way you could say. Idk how but this book articulates feelings and scenarios and emotions in such a way I felt emotions I thougd I'd forgotten about. I love it. And I hate it just as much. Knowing exactly where this is gonna lead. This book is gonna ruin me to my core. It's gonna somehow disintegrate the already shattered pieces of whatever left inside me. It tells you from the start where this is going. And yet you don't want it to happen. It's building up to the most heart wrenching ending, but it's doing so in a way that's just as beautiful as the ending. I know I haven't reached there yet but god damn if I'm already not scared for these characters and myself.

It's 4in the morning and I'm probably not gonna move until I'm done with this book. Which won't be a long time.
