Tips to Get More Customers to Buy From Your Website
For many industries, online purchases account for the majority of all sales these days. There are plenty of ways to sell products online, but too few business owners make use of their own websites to sell directly to consumers.
While it’s true that online store platforms like Amazon make it easy to sell products on the web, you may find that selling directly through your company’s website makes more sense. If you’re having a hard time figuring out how to increase sales through your website, consider the following tips before you turn to a third-party solution:
Use Push Notifications
Many business owners find that using browser push notifications for eCommerce can make a big difference in conversions. Browser push notifications for eCommerce allow your brand to send out alerts to customers, prospects, leads, and anyone else who happens to have your brand’s app installed. Since you’re able to send browser notifications right to someone’s computer, they may be more apt to purchase, doing so is usually only a click away.
Use an Abandoned Cart Feature
When a customer adds a product to their virtual shopping cart but then needs to leave the session, you might think that the sale is lost for good; however, by using an abandoned cart recovery feature, you can send notifications to people who have abandoned carts letting them know their items are still waiting for them. This can improve sales, and it also comes in handy when someone left a session by accident.
Use Content to Market Your Products
Content marketing is a big deal in the modern digital age. Customers are looking for brands that demonstrate value through content, and they are more likely to shop with a brand that has been identified as an authority on a topic. By producing frequent content that adds real value to the engagement experience with your brand, you’re more likely to improve sales through your site. Some examples of online content include blog posts, newsletters, website copy, and even podcasts.

"why don't you have a job?"
i can't find one that will hire/accommodate me or that i qualify for, bc i'm disabled.
"be a cashier!"
requires long hours of standing, which i can't do, or has a physical requirement of being able to lift 40+ lbs from the floor to above shoulder level, which i also can't do. some companies go so far as to expressly state that reading body language is required for this position, which i am very bad at.
"well you could buss tables!"
long hours of standing, a lot of walking, bending, lifting, carrying, all of which i am not capable of doing for extended periods of time.
"just work from home!"
doing what? it hurts to type, i have a hell of a time trying to figure out new software, no one in any work from home job i've ever done has communicated adequately which always results in me being in trouble, sitting for too long is painful.
"walk dogs or smth!"
again: can't do long walks. also, can't be reliable bc of flare ups and such (which applies to all of these, really).
"start your own business!"
with what money? with what product? art? can't consistently do it. music? not that either. sewing crocheting scrapbooking writing? nope nope nope nope. plus, i struggle so hard w/execution dysfunction that one of three things would happen: 1) i would make and create and package and send and nothing else ever. or 2) i would do unrelated stuff that needs to be done and never create or package or ship. or finally 3) i would never do anything ever bc brain refuses to cooperate and all the tasks are overwhelming.
"idk, be a crossing gaurd or smth!"
see previous statements.
"collect shopping carts!"
see previous statements.
"post office!"
see previous statements.
"electrician, plumber, hvac!"

The bloodborne cart fangame has become more than a fangame, have you considered scrubbing out all the references to bloodborne and filing the serials off to make a unique combat racing game inspired by bloodborne. Forms software is one of the last remaining good ones but they are owned by overlords who do not deserve your dedication. This work stands on its own and is absolutely baller and I don't waNTnt a conglomerate to take away our nice things.
ive gotten this question countless times over the course of bbpsx and bbkarts development, and while my original response still stands ("people will say that u should make an original indie game and then not play ur original indie games"), i do think theres more to it in bbkarts case.
bbkart has a very rich history outside of this single fan game as a joke leak with shopped gameplay, leading to joke fanart, music, and of course fan games, bbkart only being one of many. to scrub the identity from this game would deny its place in nearing a decades long line of fun jokes made by the community.
bbkart is good (imo), but removing the bb identity gives off the implication that its "better" than a joke game, and i believe that that isnt true seeing as the games origin started as a joke (and still is)

How to Order From Antique Beast
I've noticed a number of people have various Antique Beast items, primarily the Black Cat Headdress, on their wishlist. I've also seen instances where these headdresses are heavily scalped on secondhand websites, so I just wanted to put out a PSA - Please don't buy overpriced secondhand Antique Beast! They still open up their shop regularly, and while it was quite difficult to snag items the first couple of times post-2020 that they reopened their shop, the demand seems to have returned to normal, and it's not nearly as difficult to buy items before they close the shop again.
The way Antique Beast works is they will send email list subscribers an email one day before their shop is set to open. They will also update the website to include any one-offs or new releases. They will then open up the webshop at the scheduled time and close it once they reach their maximum quantity of orders.
The easiest way to make sure you don't miss updates is to subscribe to their mailing list, which you can do here! It's also best to create an account so that your mailing information is saved for faster checkout. To create an account, click here. If you can't read Japanese, Google Translate is sufficient for helping navigate the website.
Buttcape of Stephano.me also has a tutorial on how to order from Antique Beast from 2017, which you can read here. It includes information about signing up for the newsletter and how to register an account.
You might be wondering, "Ok, if there's already a tutorial, why are you making this post?" For one thing, since this tutorial is a few years old, people may not be aware of it if they're a newer lolita! Another reason is because I wanted to add a few notes on faster checkout and customization.
As I noted before, sometimes Antique Beast will post one-off items on their shop. If you fall in love with an item deeply and want to be first in line for checkout, you can enter items into your cart and enter your customer info before the shop opens. Once you reach the shipping selection page, there won't be any options to choose from until the site officially opens, so you can hit refresh until a shipping option appears - from there you can just check out regularly!
Another thing that's not talked about a lot is that Antique Beast offers size customization and fabric customization. To ask for something to be customized, just leave it in the notes section before checking out. For sizing, they can only offer a limited amount of increase or decrease from the original garment, presumably because they're working from one pattern. For fabric options, you can ask for different colors (I've seen multiple colorways of the Cat Headdress) or different types of fabrication! So far I have asked for items to be made in velveteen and organza, and I've also seen pleather variations of items. Since these fabric options aren't available to purchase on the site directly, just add the item that you want customized into your cart, and make a note of what you want changed in the notes section.
According to the FAQ, you can also customize the types of trim or ribbon on an item, or you can ask for things like sleeves to be made like that of another item. You can also do things like ask for skirt versions of dresses, ask for a headband or comb instead of ribbons, etc.
If you make a customization request, the owner will email your back within a few days to confirm your request, as well as the price, since there is typically an extra charge for custom items. She may also email back to verify how you want something to look. For example, when I asked or an organza headdress, she asked for details about how I wanted it constructed and how translucent I wanted the final version to be:
Tumblr media
The owner uses translation software to write emails, but I've never had a problem communicating with her in English. She will also include an estimated time of departure for your package, which usually takes around one or two months. The amount of time it takes for the package to reach you depends on the shipping method you choose.
Hope that helps anyone who had questions about how to purchase from Antique Beast!

Okay, so, the way you get the image from the computer onto the screen, is first you print out a black image onto a transparency, and then you shine a light through the transparency on to the screen which has been coated in a photographic Elmer's glue. (NOT literally Elmer's). Now what happens is the part the light hits hardens, and the parts covered by the image stay soft. Then you rinse it off, and you have a screen printing stencil! While the toner transparency from the FedEx copy shop can get the job done, it is overall not dark enough for the best quality. Working with them is sustainable, but it can be tricky or iffy. Most times what works is you underexpose the screen and then very carefully rinse out the image(as opposed to a pressure washer) and expose it again to make the remaining emulsion hardened further.
The best film positives are made with a UV blocking ink with an inkjet printer. So you get some empty ink cartridges from wherever, any order some bulk black ink from a supplier, I used inkowl.com for the cartridges and the ink, although I theoretically could have paid less for the cartridges, their ink prices were great. From what I can tell, even the dirt cheap ones from AliExpress work fine.
Used Cannon PIXMA ix6820: $120, shipped
Empty carts: $30
UV Ink jug $35
100 13x19 transparencies : $60-$80
I use paint.net to make my designs, so no need for expensive "rip" software. Which for some reason, supposedly lets you use "all the ink carts" to print for supposedly "the darkest" and also vectorizes images. It also seems to cost $200 a year? I think basically you throw money at it and it does all the file and printer setting optimization stuff for you?You don't need that shit. Nor do you need the $1000 "kit".
Anyways, the point is I, and probably most people, didn't anticipate a step of the screen printing process to include
"you must make a big printer GOTH AS FUCK"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The transparencies are so dark, it makes me do E-40 impressions.

RGG/Yakuza/Judgement at the Grocery Store
UPPER MANAGEMENT = UP WORKING CLASS = WC CHAIRMAN AND HIS ENTOURAGE = CE CLIENTS= C
Yakuza:
Tumblr media
Kiryu (WC): Initially a Stock clerk was eventually Promoted to IT (responsible for price accuracy for the printed price shelf tags, maintaining the computers, point of sale software the cash registers use, and any electronic scales that weigh and print prices).
Akiyama (CE): Investor. Due to his generous “donations” to the company, he is part of the chairman’s entourage (due to his wallet’s  size, his opinion matters). Thanks to him (and Tachibana), they were able to raise the salaries of the employees not part of upper management, so all of them love him and get along well when he is there. Akiyama can admit that he grew quite fond of many employees, especially Hana who will become his personal secretary. As expected, many members of upper management can’t stand him, wondering why he is even allowed to be around (they are jealous)
Haruka (WC): Cashier
Nishiki (WC): Online order clerk. Spends a lot of time chatting with Kiryu but likes his position since he is away from the upper management most of the day (he thinks they are scary and wants none of it)
Yumi (WC): Cashier
Daigo (CE): Chairman. A big picture of him is in the store saying he is the boss but you can rarely see him in the building. But for the few times, he visits the place, the upper management wake up out of their coma and pull up an act as if issues where not part of their daily lifes (they basically threaded MAjima to not blow the whistle about who is not doing their jobs.  Saejima (WC):. He prefers something more simple and since he listens to Majima’s endless rants about his position everytime. he would better be left alone away from customer service but ended up as a Loss prevention associate (helps a grocery store combat and apprehend shoplifters and unlawful employees. They often monitor security cameras for suspicious activity, and some dress as shoppers to monitor activity covertly. Loss prevention associates often contact local law enforcement to alert them of problems.). Lee, who is a security guard works along him.
Ryuji (C): Rude customer
Yuya (WC): shopping cart attendant. While he was proposed higher level position many times, he declined them
Nishida (UP): Previously a stock clerk who graduated from his position to become Majima’s right man. They separate Majima’s workload between them.
Majima (UP): Customer Service Representative. Held to higher regard because of more experience, knowledge, and skills. Since nobody in this company wants to do their job, he has to do a lot people’s tasks. Is the main person dealing with issues with customers (that’s the person we send when they say “I wanna talk to the manager”). Stressed.
Date: (highest working class) Pharmacist.
Rikiya (WC): Floor Clerk
Hana: (upper working class) HR Secretary. She will likely interview new employees. Nishitani (UP): Supervisor. Regardless his personality, he actually does his job. He knows how to make the daily life spicy (Kashiwagi hates but since he knows how to manage rude clients to fuck off so gracefully and he can shut down arguments easily). Since he does his job so well, you can find do all type of random stuff in the store like taking hold of the AUX cord to blast Japanese 80s hits in the radion (play Namidawo Misenaide -Boys Don't Cry- by WINK) or buying items just to annoy Majima. His favorite activity is to announce employees birthdays on the store’s microphone before slapping a cake in their faces (Kiryu couldn’t escape it, Nishiki ran for his life). Nishitani succeeded to slap a cake in daigo’s face to everyone’s excitement (covertly or invertly expressed). He is just appointed himself to Mine’s burning anger, not now but one day. Always to take home what they are supposed get rid of (past date item and damaged food products) Mine (CE): Chairman Assistant/Secretary.
Kashiwagi (UP): Inventory Control Specialist. Give this man a break. He is at the clock at 6AM everyday. Mr. Black Coffee. He spends most of his time making calls to suppliers (and often arguing with them) and check the inventory (IF PEOPLE WERE ENTERING THE DATA CORRECTLY SMH.)
Shinida (WC): Grocery clerk, who graduated from his position to become (kinda off) Majima assistant to help with everyday tasks. To take charge when Majima is too tired or angry. If not, they kinda work as duo for Majima’s work load.
Tachibana (CE): Financial Advisor. He is basically the one over the upper management of the store. If it was not for him being so good at problem-solving and calm regardless of the situation, Daigo will penalize him for how poorly the upper management are doing their job (that’s not on him lol). Always wanted to give Kiryu a promotion so he could join the upper management team and put things back in order.
Baba (WC): shopping cart attendant. Just wants to put his earphones on be left alone.
Hamura, Kuze & Sagawa (UP): Head supervisior, but nobody is sure what is role is since they can’t answer nobody’s questions about anything. More the corporate type, since they send another head supervisor (lower than them) to do all the work (a.k.a answering clients complaints). they spend all their day laughing, chatting and smoking and discussing everything but work-related things. But if there’s financial losses or their quota are not met, you will sure hear one of them raging anger ready to crack the whip on any subordinates. Shimano (CE): Store Manager. He represents the Chairman when he is not there. So he kinda acts like he owns the place (in a way he does owns the building). He is the one watching over a lot of things in the store and especially keeping an eye over the employees. He picks Majima apart and sends Sagawa to scold him about what he is supposedly doing wrong. He is behind most (if not all) employees discharges. Keeps the business afloat. Mirei (UP): HR Yakuza 7/Like A Dragon
Tumblr media
Ichiban (WC): Started as a custodian but (after Jo’s training) was upgraded to stock clerk for general merchandise and non-perishable food items. They are always calling him to go check prices and exchange articles since he is so fast and his store clerk colleagues are nowhere to be found.
Adachi (upper working class): Butcher Nanba: (upper working class) Works in the pharmacy.
Han Joongi (WC): Food Preparation: Bread.
Zhao (WC): Food Preparation: Pastry/bakery. Decorates the cakes and makes pastries sold in the grocery store. Saeko (WC): Beauty & Health Department Staff. Masato Arakawa/Ryo Aoki & Kume (C): KAREN Jo Sawashiro (UP): Hourly Supervisor & Training. Technically has the same job as Nishitani but he doesn’t even want to associate with this brown hair clown. But recently he has been upgraded to pay management and was more than willing to cut Ichiban’s pay off when he accidently spilled his coffee on him. (Chill, Jo! Is it even legal?!? Apparently, it is…) Taka The Striker (WC): Auto Care Center Main Manager Yumeno (C): Karen Reina (WC): Cashier Hamako (WC): Senior Cashier
Judgement/Lost Judgement/Judge Eyes
Tumblr media
Yagami and Sugiura (C): they came only to buy a bag of chips and move on with their life but they are stuck waiting to checkout and it takes forever. For some reason, everyone that day filled their cart to feed the entire population of china.
Minami, Akutsu, Kaito (WC): Stock Clerk who is always late (or don’t even come) when someone call his department. Spends most his time chatting and smoking. Get to work when the boss or supervisor is near.
Tsukumo (WC): Data Entry Clerk
Higashi (WC): Electronic Department Staff
Mafuyu (WC): Beauty & Health Department Staff
Saori-San (WC): Cashier that covertly hate her job
Awabe (WC): Overnight Stock Clerk
Kengo (WC): shopping cart attendant
Sawa-Sensei (WC): Cashier
Kazuki Soma (CE): Investor. While nobody really knows where he stands or where his interested for the company comes. Rumors says he is an old supervisor but nobody ready really knows. Gets along well with Shimano and was able to conclude all types of deals with him like in exchange of generous “donations’” they could redirect some of the employees to work in his company. Some believe, him and Shimano use the grocery store for money laundering.

The Role of CRM in Customer Journey Mapping
Tumblr media
In the digital age, customers expect personalized, seamless experiences at all points of interaction with a brand. To meet this expectation, businesses must have an intimate understanding of their customers' journey. One tool that has proven invaluable in this quest is Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
In this blog post, we will explore how CRM plays a pivotal role in mapping the customer journey, helping businesses deliver more personalized experiences and forging stronger relationships with their customers.
Understanding Customer Journey Mapping
Customer journey mapping is the process of creating a visual representation of the customers' experience, from the first contact to the final interaction. This process allows companies to understand the steps customers go through when engaging with their brand, identify areas of strengths and weaknesses, and optimize the customer experience accordingly.
The Role of CRM in the Customer Journey
CRM software serves a critical role in customer journey mapping by providing the data and analytics necessary to create accurate, actionable maps. Here's how CRM aids in this process:
Data Gathering and Integration
First, CRM gathers data from various sources within the business and integrates them into a single platform. This data helps businesses understand more about their customers' preferences, behaviors, and needs, providing the insights required to kickstart the journey mapping process.
Building Customer Profiles
With the data collected, CRM software can build detailed customer profiles that can help form user personas. These personas serve as the foundation for the customer journey map, allowing businesses to envision the steps their typical customer might take when interacting with their brand.
Tracking Customer Interactions
CRM software tracks and records every interaction a customer has with a brand, be it via social media, phone call, email, or in-person. This trace of interactions allows businesses to map out the exact paths customers take throughout their journey, enabling a more detailed and accurate representation of the customer experience.
Analyzing Customer Behavior
CRM software also comes with analytics capabilities, enabling businesses to analyze customer behavior and identify patterns or trends. These insights make it easier to pinpoint areas within the journey where customers may encounter challenges, abandon their shopping cart, or experience a high level of satisfaction.
Personalizing Customer Experience
Equipped with a deeper understanding of the customer journey, businesses can personalize interactions and experiences at scale. Using CRM data, businesses can customize their marketing campaigns, customer service, and other touchpoints to meet unique customer needs at each stage of their journey.
Conclusion
CRM plays an instrumental role in customer journey mapping, enabling a holistic understanding of customers and their interactions with your brand. By integrating CRM in your customer journey mapping efforts, you can create personalized experiences that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty, leading to greater business success.
Remember, while CRM informs customer journey mapping, the insights must be continually analyzed, and the journey updated as customer behaviors evolve. This way, you always stay connected with your customers' experiences and can swiftly adapt to any changes, ensuring you always hold the customer's perspective at the center of your decisions.

"Gen-Z Diaries: Navigating Daily Life in the Digital Age"
Looking back at my daily routine, I can't help but admit how deeply technology has embedded itself into my daily existence. As an individual living in the digital age and a part of Generation Z, I was born with technology all around me. It's just the way life has always been for me.
How I start my day
I begin my day by waking up to the sound of my smartphone's alarm. When the loud alarm on my phone goes off, it signals my brain that I should start my day. I remember my mom once described how she would set an alarm on an actual clock. But now, traditional alarm clocks are a thing of the past since smartphones have these kinds of applications built-in to make life more convenient.
Tumblr media
Productivity and academic
After getting myself ready for the day, I dive into working on the stuff I need to get done––academic or chore. My phone, tablet, laptop, and several software programs have evolved into my go-to working tools. For instance, Canvas, Gmeet, Gmail, and Zoom are examples of collaborative technologies that have changed the way I communicate with friends, peers, and family. Despite remotely studying and not personally seeing my blockmates and friends, technology brought connectivity to my life. Fortunately, whenever we have onsite classes, navigating or GPS applications direct me through my commute. Generally, It shows me real-time updates on traffic as well as suggestions on faster routes to avoid heavy traffic.
Tumblr media
Primary health companion
Whenever I have extra time on my hands, I try my best to work out. Recently, I got a smartwatch with a fitness tracker app, and it has been nudging me to stand on my feet and move. Consequently, I found myself prioritizing my well-being and moving more often since it amazes me whenever it displays my progress.
Tumblr media
Entertainment
Aside from working out, streaming movies is what keeps me busy. Streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+ have given me endless options of content to explore and watch. Furthermore, online shopping has also become a part of my regular activity. Admittedly, the ease of browsing for the items I need, adding them to my cart, and having them delivered right in front of my door amazes me. Additionally, mobile banking and cash app wallets such as Gcsh made managing finances easier. Generally, it eases the way I pay for the items I buy online or whenever I forget to bring cash with me.
Tumblr media
Bedtime
As the day draws to a close, I get ready before retiring to my bed. I then turn on a decent film or television show that will help me relax and easily sleep. Last but not least, I always make sure my alarm is set so I won't be late for my day tomorrow. And that's how my day-to-day activities go.
Tumblr media
Technology has transformed how I manage my daily routines, but sometimes, I can't help but ponder and miss the days when technology was only a form of entertainment for me. Although it served as my timekeeper, guide, and connection to the outside world that brings convenience, efficiency, connectivity, and such, I always remind myself not to be overdependent on technology.

The shopping cart app's user interface is crucial.  A user's impression of your app and, by extension, their propensity to make a purchase can be greatly improved by adopting a streamlined and user-friendly design.  Keep things simple and uncomplicated, reduce the number of clicks required to complete a purchase, and create a visually appealing interface that is consistent with your brand's aesthetic.  The purchasing experience can be improved by adding functions like product filtering, search options, and personalised recommendations.
2.      Mobile Responsiveness:
With more and more people using their mobile devices to browse eCommerce sites, it's essential that your app works well across a wide range of screen sizes and resolutions.  With a responsive layout, your app will look great on any screen size and provide the same fun and functional experience across all devices.  As mobile-friendliness is a major feature in Google's algorithm, this not only improves user satisfaction but also boosts your app's search engine ranks.
3.      Security and Data Privacy:
Any online store should prioritise security.  When conducting business online, customers must feel confident that their private data, including credit card numbers, will remain secure.  Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates, data encryption, and encrypted payment gateways are all great ways to keep private information just that: private.  Also, if you want users to trust you and stay out of court, you need to adhere to data protection requirements like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
4.      Performance and Speed:
Users in the modern day have come to anticipate instantaneous gratification from their apps.  Frustration and high bounce rates are the result of slow loading times and sluggish performance.  Regular performance testing will help you find slowdowns in your software and fix them. Smooth and fast app performance can be achieved by picture optimisation, decreased server response times, and the use of caching methods.
5.      Seamless Checkout Process:
Having a quick and easy checkout is crucial for increasing sales.  Don't have customers fill out superfluous forms during checkout, and offer a variety of payment methods to suit their needs. Users should be able to make purchases as "guests" without registering for an account, although incentivizing registration can improve customer retention.
6.      Scalability and Flexibility:
Keeping expansion in mind while creating your eCommerce software is essential. The app's capacity to serve users well under increasing loads is essential as a business grows.  It is possible to smooth out the user experience even at peak times by using a scalable design and cloud-based solutions. Maximize your sales online by working with Nivida Web Solutions - one of the best eCommerce development agencies in Vadodara, Gujarat, India!
7.      Intuitive Search Functionality:
Users need a reliable search feature that returns relevant results quickly.  The search engine should be smart enough to account for typos, alternate spellings, and similar products.  Customers will have an easier time navigating your store and finding what they need with the addition of filters, sorting options, and category tags.
8.      Social Media Integration:
Your eCommerce app can profit greatly from incorporating social network features. Allow individuals to sign up using their existing social network accounts by enabling social login choices.  Make it easy for customers to tell their friends and followers about the products they love and the services they use by integrating social sharing tools.
9.      Analytics and Insights:
Incorporate analytics tools into your app to learn more about how users interact with it and how well it performs.  The app may be optimised further by analysing statistics like user interaction, popular products, and conversion rates to determine where changes should be made.
10.  Customer Support and Feedback:
Finally, make it easy for users to submit feedback and provide feedback through the app's customer support channels.  Resolve any user complaints or questions as soon as possible.  Your app's functionality and the user experience can both be improved with the help of consumer feedback.
Final Thoughts:
eCommerce software development is difficult and should focus on user experience, security, performance, and scalability.  By keeping these things in mind while you design and build your app, you can position your firm for long-term success in the competitive eCommerce market.  In order to keep ahead of the competition and meet the ever-changing needs of your consumers, remember that the journey does not end with the launch of the app.  Your eCommerce success starts here, unleash your digital potential by partnering with one of the most trusted eCommerce development companies in Gujarat, India – Nivida Web Solutions.

1) CORRECT, it was intended as the successor to cassette tapes, and as a more portable companion to CD, as tapes were to vinyl records, in a way. all the convenience of tapes and CDs in one package :3
2) ebay and Japanese proxy shopping! with some luck you can find a recorder in decent shape on ebay for an okay price (I shoot for about $100 or less when possible) and $50 or less for playback only models like the one in my post. I've also used a proxy service for yahoo! Japan auctions called buyee.jp because you can usually find players bundled with accessories (in-line remote, charging dock, battery sidecar) in good shape for a decent price as well. highly recommend budgeting for that though bc Japanese sellers love to over-pack orders which is nice for keeping ur order safe but the package dimensions + weight are used to calculate shipping so you may end up paying more than you would expect (shout out to the seller who sent me a Nintendo switch cart by itself inside of a massive box and a huge bundle of bubble wrap. fuck you dude this could've been an envelope 🖕) anyways I think NetMD is worth it for getting into minidisc bc it's so easy and quick but they tend to be a bit more expensive than pre-NetMD recorders because of their popularity. on the plus side this also means you can find an older recorder for cheaper than NetMD devices. oh and avoid most Location:Japan listings in ebay bc chances are they're just relisting a yahoo Japan auction item they don't even have, for twice as much as you'd be likely to pay if you bought it from Yahoo auctions urself.
3) so there's actually two methods for recording discs, one is live dubbing, which is to say connecting a recorder to the audio source with either analog line-in connection or a digital TOSLINK cable (or a 3.5mm jack microphone on some models) OR later model recorders that have a feature called NetMD in which you can plug in through USB and upload your tracks. it used to be a proprietary software but some enthusiasts have reverse engineered their own program accessible through Chrome based browsers (rare Firefox L) that allow you to upload music even easier. I use a usb-c to mini usb cable and the web app installed on my Android phone to burn most of my discs when I don't feel like doing a live recording just bc it's way faster. live recording can be a vibe though, I love recording my record collection so I can take them with me on the go :3
ebay search for MD recorders
buyee search for Net MD recorders
buyee search for MD players (only bc the players are much thinner and less scary to carry around than ur precious recorder. less wear and tear as well on ur recorder as well)
web minidisc pro (for recording through NetMD) and WMD guide to learn how to use it, and the rest of the wiki is useful for researching models while you shop
minidisc wiki discord and finally the official wiki discord! everyone's real friendly in here, come on in and join us sometime, there's tons of seasoned MD enthusiasts who are ready to help with any problem or question you could possibly have :)
