#kingdra#not a lot to say about this pokémon to be honest. it's definitely one of them of all time#wait hold on isn't it a fucking dragon-type? lemme look this up#yeah it is okay what the fuck. is this pokémon good hold on lemme ask someone who knows about competitive pokémon#ok ok results are coming in. swift swim is really good bc it has kinda mid speed but you can double it in rain#meaning it can be a good sweeper if you want it to. and the phys.atk. and sp.atk. are the same so you have a lot of options#the typing is kinda whatever since all it does is give it a quad resistance to fire and water#and it was only good enough to be OU in gen 5. UU in pretty much everything else#and they also said it looks like the pea shooter in pvz. i don't go there so any pvz fans out there uhh enjoy that#i've learned a lot about kingdra today. thank you for joining me on this adventure of learning about kingdra#and thank you cringedeposit for commenting that i should not stop rambling bc that gave me incentive to learn about kingdra

I'm grateful for some of the PvZ games EA put out. Garden Warfare 1 and 2 are some of the best shooters I've ever played.
But holy shit the series would be a 100% better right now if it was just some random indie franchise. The composer for the original game has shown more love for the series than EA has done in the past few years.
Not saying Laura should own the franchise cuz she's only a composer.
But if the series belonged to some passionate indie studio, or just ANYONE else instead of Electronic Arts it would be in a MUCH healthier place I believe.

Hey hows about some of yall from the PvZ fandom throw some PvZ drawing suggestions into my inbox hmm??
More likely to be drawn if they have to do with zombies! Since I like them more than the plants. But plants interacting with them is fine.
Comic characters are also fine (the main kids, dr zomboss' three henchmen friends, mr stubbins etc)
Idk about the shooter games but these above guidelines apply regardless

being a hardcore pvz fan is painful because 90% of the time when people say they're a pvz fan they either play the shooters or remember playing pvz1 as a kid and thats it. im out here looking for english translations of the obscure journey to the west edition which was only available in china for a limited time

Speaking of water, the arcade at this hotel has the weirdest (and maybe also best) arcade game I’ve ever seen. It’s one of those shooters where it’s two guns mounted on a swivel with a giant screen, and it’s also a very blatant rip off of PvZ. The guns actually shoot jets of water out of them, though, and they even fire out a bunch at once if you get a power up. Maybe it’s just me, but I think the fact that it chooses to fire water when it could definitely work fine without doing that is really funny

Ok but we deserve a reboot to angry birds that is mechanically complex, whether it be a 3d platformer, a 3rd person shooter, a GTA style open world game whatever.
Because ultimately the classic angry birds games are fun mobile games with great charecters but they've been doing the same physics based puzzle games for the last 10 years. And not that there's anything wrong with that just it's gotten kinda stale. And I think that in order to be relevant we need an angry birds reboot that's like a full blown game.
Like look at donkey Kong, pacman, and frogger. All classic arcade games. But what truly defines those franchises is their platformer reboots. While yes they were great games they were just simple and in order to evolve we got bangin platformers. The reason why I'm still a fan of those franchises is bc of donkey Kong country, pac man world/ghostly adventures, and the frogger legends games (not you frogger the great quest your gross) these reboots defined these franchises instead of being relagated to simple arcade games.
Or hell look at plants vs zombies garden warfare. PvZ was simalarly a simple mobile game but it got a full blown 3rd person shooter.
Or hell the FNAF series started out relatively simple with the first 3 games and became more complex with sister location. I don't think FNAF would still have fans if it stuck to the style of the first 3 games.
I have nothing against simplistic arcadey pick up and play games I just think for a simplistic game to truly evolve it needs to become more mechanically complex.
It just sucks bc one of my first major obsessions was angry birds and I kinda fell off when I realized the games are just essentially level packs to the original angry birds. There is nothing wrong with that I just wish that there was a 3d platformer with these charecters or an over the top 3rd person shooter like Splatoon or ratchet and clank, or a kid friendly GTA clone where you build cars out of wood and sticks and drive around an open world.
