If Pedro Madrigal met his wife again: (Inspired by Shinobi Ray and Nicque Marina on TikTok and Youtube)
Tumblr media
***WARNING: NOT AS WHOLESOME AS YOU THINK***
Pedro: Alma, mi amor!
Alma: Pedro? PEDRO!!! Is that you?!?
Pedro: Yes, mi vida! I wanted to visit you because it's been so long.
Alma: You have no idea how much I've missed you!
Pedro: Yeah, I've missed you too, but I also came back to talk about something.
Alma: What do you want to talk about, mi amor?
Pedro: Something I've noticed while I was watching over everyone from heaven.
Alma: Wait, you were watching us?
Pedro: Yes, and I'd like to know WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!? I sacrificed myself so you can take our family and give it a chance to have a long and happy life. Why is everything such a mess?!?
Alma: I tried my best, Pedro. And it's really not as bad as it seems.
Pedro: Not that bad?!? OUR SON HAS BEEN LIVING IN THE WALLS, ALMA!!! The boy was blessed with foresight AND common sense and people still blamed him for the results when they ignored him! No one stood up for him, and no one in the family can even talk about him?!?
Alma: I did it so we could live in peace, Pedro!
Pedro: Peace?!? MY LITTLE GIRL HAS ANXIETY AND IS BORDERLINE INSANE!!!
Alma: Well, at least Pepa's in a good marriage.
Pedro: Ok, true. Felix is a good man, you made a good call there. BUT HE CAN'T FIX ALL THE TRAUMA YOU GAVE HER FROM FORCING HER TO SUPPRESS HER EMOTIONS! Why is she even doing that?!? It's not like you hate rain, some of our most romantic moments were during rain!
Alma: I just wanted her to be happy! If she started panicking, so would everyone else!
Pedro: And then there's Julieta. I'm glad she's somewhat stable. And Agustin is a clutz, but he's also a good man...
Alma: Exactly! See, it's not all bad-
Pedro: And she did choose to cook for everyone in town right?
Alma: ...
Pedro: YOU FORCED HER TO BE THE TOWN MEDIC?!?
Alma: Well, she has to put her gift to good use!
Pedro: NO! NO SHE DOESN'T! NONE OF THEM DID, THAT WAS NEVER A REQUIREMENT! She was given that power so we didn't have to worry about fatal injuries, NOT SO EVERYONE CAN BE EXTRA RECKLESS AND GIVE MY BABY MORE WORK!!!
Alma: Ok. Ok. So our children didn't have an easy life, but at least things are better now with the next generation!
Pedro: BETTER?!? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, WOMAN?!? Why are all the girls under so much pressure while the boys are allowed to be chaotic?!? Didn't we talk about equal treatment while you were pregnant?!?
Alma: That was for our children, not the grandchildren-
Pedro: Yeah, and look at how that turned out! Dolores was given powerful hearing so she could be aware of her surroundings. Why am I hearing that she is the spy/family gossip and had to live with the guilt of her exiled uncle?!? And no one thought to give her earplugs for the nights??? A girl her age should not be listening to couples "getting busy" Alma!
Alma: Well, I-
Pedro: And Camillo just wants to be the funny one but he himself gets brushed off as a joke?!? He keeps acting out for attention that you never give him just because his shapeshifting doesn't work for someone else's benefit?!?
Alma: Well it doesn't!
Pedro: And Antonio. He had to be Doolittle'd so he'd actually have someone to talk to around here because this family doesn't communicate. OUR GRANDCHILD HAS TO TURN TO ANIMALS, ALMA!
Alma: I mean, that's just Pepa's side.
Pedro: Yeah, and we can't talk about Bruno's side because he couldn't get married because you exiled him! His song may be fire, but that still doesn't excuse it!
Alma: He doesn't need a wife, he's fine.
Pedro: AND JULIETA'S SIDE, OH DIOS MIO DID YOU SCREW THAT UP
Alma: They turned out well! At least they're helping everyone!
Pedro: YEAH AND KILLING THEMSELVES WHILE DOING IT! Luisa was given strength to make life easier and now she's the one physically struggling the most! The poor girl's been worked to the bone, she can't even cry around you, and she has a twitch!!! WHY DID YOU GIVE HER SUCH AN IMPOSSIBLE STANDARD?!?
Alma: I-
Pedro: And Isabella...I have no words...but apparently you had one to give her and that was PERFECT. Seriously Alma, the girl gets your face and you control her like a puppet?!? She was supposed to use her power to learn about the plants in the forest, NOT PUMP OUT FLOWERS AND BABIES! WHY DID YOU SET HER UP TO BE A BABYMAKER?!? YOU WENT THROUGH TWO DAUGHTERS WITHOUT TREATING THEM LIKE THIS, WHAT HAPPENED?!?
Alma: Pedro-
Pedro: And Mirabel?!? That was the last straw...I just had to come down here after watching how you treated her.
Alma: She was a disgrace! She doesn't even have a gift!
Pedro: She didn't need a gift from Casita because she already got one from me: FIGHTING AGAINST RIDICULOUS AUTHORITY, ALMA! Our son at least escaped from your nonsense. Meanwhile, you treated Mirabel like scum JUST BECAUSE SHE WAS NORMAL?!?
Alma: Pedro...I'm sorry...
Pedro: I sacrificed myself so you could give our family a better life...I should've haunted you the second Brunito left, Dios mio Alma...

r.aidou. they're best friends - brothers, even - but he absolutely couldn't kill k.urenai. again, like w/ t.enzo & k.akashi, i feel like r.aidou would understand - & given how r.aidou typically views himself, maybe even expect it.
but it would be an agonising decision to make & he'd never forgive himself

ROUND FOUR
UZUMAKI NARUTO vs MAITO GAI
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reasons for submission under the cut
Naruto
he runs on pure spite
he's just trying his best all the time
ray of sunshine
we wouldn’t have the story without him
he’s got his faults but he’s still one of [submitters] favourites
his true talent is in his irony: he wears bright orange, is loud, and likes direct confrontation; all things that should make him an awful ninja but he works hard and turns out to be a talented one anyway
he's determined; works real hard to achieve his dreams
he's entertaining and fiercely loyal to those he cares about although he does get a bit obsessive with Sasuke
entertaining to watch
good boy with good intentions even if he can be dumb af sometimes he's always trying to find the better option even for his enemies <3
sun coded boy who can also beat someones ass
Gai
was instrumental in the success of the story - he may not have won against Madara, but he put fear in him and had it not been for hacks, he would have decimated him where no one else could
believes whole-heartedly in his student to the point of dedicating his life to making him a splendid ninja
came from nothing, worked his way up from nothing, and is now considered to be one of the greatest shinobi to have come out of the Hidden Leaf. People know and fear him
made Itachi bail. That man was ready to fight everyone else, but packed it up when Gai came on the scene
kicked Jiraiya in the face and never properly apologized
great salesperson - always has a spare jumpsuit to give to passers-by and hook them on his favorite brand. True influencer and fashion icon
had a bowl cut before it was cool
was a great friend to Kakashi, and was there for him during the highs and lows of his horrifically stressful life. Arguably saved Kakashi's life with his constant support, and the story could not have happened without him. Is considered by Kakashi - one of the most powerful and infamous shinobi in the world - to be his equal and his best friend
loves kids. Supports his own students like he was their father, and equally takes pride in Naruto and protected Sasuke after Sasuke's first run in with Itachi
in the anime, he is shown to be hard on the outside but clearly permissive in that he would sneak Chouji food in the middle of a mission and try to push Naruto into figuring out who Minato was
confident in himself and confident in others - he is everyone's biggest cheerleader and he isn't just talk; he'll work hard with you. When he says he'll do something, nothing will stop him and he will follow his promises even when no one is watching.
hot. Man has pretty privilege
amazing, supportive teacher and friend
he is always trying to be positive in such a dark world and cheer up those around him
he's so good to Lee, Tenten, and Neji, you can just tell how much he cares about those kids
his speech to Lee was super moving. He knew Lee was scared and made sure to be there for him
he was ready and willing to die to defeat Madara in order to save the others
an actual decent upstanding father figure
unbridled whimsy
excellent tits

Ray - Kakanaru prompt.
Uzumaki Naruto had a lot of fears growing up. Fears like ghosts, thiefs, villagers, him fading away and no one noticing, him losing people he considers his family, needles, for a while Orochimaru and snakes etc.
The one fear he was never able to outgrow, a fear that unlike everything else didn't fade away or turn into a life lesson, despite facing missing nin, reanimated PPL, tailed beasts, controlled allies, sentient plant matter, and a freaking alien is the fear of ghosts.
It would all have been fine. Maybe even something the others could have an incredulous laugh on except it's not fine when this critical information is revealed in the midst of a C turned deadly SS rank mission with Kakashi and Naruto separated from the rest of the team and transported to a new place, facing what is essentially seeming to be an encounter with the paranormal.
It is certainly not hilarious when someone who is essentially the saviour of the shinobi world starts collapsing at the seams, his body, mind and chakra reacting catastrophically to a threat only he perceives. The worst part is that Kurama isn't putting a stop to his host's idioticy. (Not my personal pov. This is strictly from Kakashi's view)
Or- Kakashi is a bastard. Naruto keeps way too many things hidden. Their relationship suffered and since then never repaired when Naruto met Tsunade and Shizune and understood the true meaning of the term sensei and mentor. And Kakashi- like every other time in his life - when he saw one of the few good things in his life spilling from his hand like grains of sand didn't bother closing his fist until it was too late.
Or- Naruto has Phasmophobia and much like everything else this ties back into his shitty childhood in Konoha. Kurama knows everything. And there have always been spirits and supernatural at play when it concerned Naruto. It was not sheer dumb luck or resilience that helped him survive Konoha after all.
There is a reason children shouldn't be left unsupervised. And now the others can only watch as these forces take away what is rightfully theirs.
fuck I'd read the shit out of this

coincidences | itachi x f!reader | meeting him for the first time |
-> a/n: so this is a series with no particular plot correlations whatsoever just some scenarios that i have in mind in the form of a word vomit <3
itachi who’s always been on high functioning depression — he doesn’t know if it’s because of his terminal illness, or just because he has never felt unburdened in his life for once. he has stopped contemplating it at this point. just continuing his life as a breathing corpse. there are a few instances that provide him with a ray of hope — surprisingly; even those are related to either him being ultimately killed someday, so he could finally have peace. or… the memories of his childhood which revolved around sasuke. then again, it’s a vicious cycle which haunts him with the dreading memories of the massacre.
itachi tells himself he’s used to it, everyday, used to dying a little everyday. and that this is how his life will be… for as long as his heart beats.
all of it thrown upside down when you saved him from a mission gone wrong. itachi won the battle, but he could’ve died in the absence of his partner and fighting the 6 tails alone. it was you— who found him half dead and took him. nursed his injuries and didn’t care, or weren’t aware of him being an s-ranked criminal. he woke up a few days later to you sleeping beside him, your wrist lazily holding his hand. itachi’s never seen someone so beautiful — it wasn’t your physical appearances as such. the whole vibe was enough to make him stop thinking for a moment. it was— new! he never stopped his mind for anything. for once, he didn’t want to wake this stranger up, watching her asleep so peacefully in front of a killer, of a dangerous, ruthless monster. it’s the safety which littered in your expressions. itachi wanted this more—
you stirred in your sleep, waking up to itachi’s eyes scanning your form tenderly. “thank you, for saving my life.”
“thank you?” you jumped up, looking at him and looking ever so grateful. “sir— you got to be kidding me! you were almost dead yes ! but a group of bandits tried to break in, i was so scared and screamed. and you— somehow! somehow! fought them in your sleep!” you jumped up and mumbled, “it was like your kunai went slash slash slash and they were all- dead and then- and then you passed out yourself.”
your excitement and your awe regarding something so normal made itachi smile a little. it’s drilled in the very marrow of his bones to stay alert. maybe he was fighting in his dream — he doesn’t remember it honestly. he was now sure you weren’t of a shinobi background. how lucky 🍀
“then, should i consider that i have paid my debt to you?” itachi asked softly, looking at his bandaged hands.
“eia nope!” you pouted, “you broke my entire house during the fight so you must pay for it!”
just some money? is that why you want him to stay? itachi has enough to pay for it, but part of him wants to stay a little too. “what must i do?” he asked softly, clearing his throat.
“uh— that i haven’t thought of yet.”
“really?”
“yeah”
“then, isn’t it a waste of both of our time?”
“sheesh, live a little”
somehow itachi found everything peculiar yet a little familiar. something out of the mundane grief that clutches onto him. or rather someone— shining bright enough to erode his darkness even if it’s only a pinch.

The sun was blinding from where they were sitting, the rooftop of the academy holding little protection from the harsh rays. The trees were a cut too short, the clouds straying clear from the burning star, not even the neighbouring buildings helped.
Three newly graduates sat waiting, hiding away behind their hands or arms, the heat tingling their skin as an indication that they'd start to burn soon. One was scowling, cursing under his breath at a man he didn't even know yet. Another was pouting, trying to keep his cool guy facade in front of his peers. The last one sat while holding long hair away from her neck, slumping over with her chin on her hand.
A puff of smoke broke them out of their bored misery, the three of them rushing to look presentable. This was their sensei after all, someone who'd teach them to be Shinobi, and even Sasuke wanted to make a decent impression.
When the smoke cleared, they saw a man who stood proudly on the railing. He wore the same uniform as any other Jounin but he had his left eye covered, the right side of his face was scarred terribly, leading down the exposed part of his neck and carrying to his forearms. He'd look intimidating if it weren't for his gentle smile.
He jumped down and greeted them loudly, his voice was deep but clear in tone. He behaved quite similarly to Naruto when he was excited. He introduced himself as 'Uchiha Obito'.
Upon hearing that, Naruto and Sakura turned to their third, like many kids would. The surname Uchiha wasn't very common anymore. Obito laughed as Sasuke turned with a huff.
"He's my little cousin!" He said, quite cheerfully too. He was very proud of his little Sasuke. "I practically raised him, so I asked the Hokage to let me be his teacher. Much to Sasuke's disgust."
Obito poked his tongue out playfully, recieving an embarrassed glare after Sakura and Naruto giggled.
"I know all about Sasuke, but," Obito kneeled down in front of the trio, focusing on just two. "I don't know much about you two. How about we take turns introducing ourselves. I'll go first!"
He smiled with closed eyes, oddly soft with his expressions considering the trauma on his skin.
Obito went through a list of all sorts of things. Things he liked and things he didn't, his favourite foods and his favourite hobbies, even his favourite type of chakra nature. All were hidden examples of what he wanted to know about them.
Naruto went next, eager to share.
"My name is Uzumaki Naruto! I'm the son of the fourth Hokage, but that's not very important. Uhm, I like a lot of things! I like ramen, I like cooking with my mum, and I also like to train with my dad! I don't like thunderstorms, they scare me, but I love to write!"
Naruto beamed with excitement, much like his mother would when she herself would talk. Obito chuckled at the nostalgia, Kushina was always a highlight to his training.
Naruto raved on for a while longer, seemingly wanting to cover all his bases before he lost them. Obito made mental notes on everything he could keep up with. Sakura listened quite intently too, smiling softly at Naruto's excitement.
When it came to Sakura's turn, she initially missed the cue due to her focus on Naruto. She scrambled to find her words.
"Oh, uh, I'm Haruno Sakura! I like reading, and studying. Not a big fan of spicy food, it rarely tastes good, but I love eating fruit! I'm not very good at ninjutsu, but I want to help people as a ninja!"
She fidgeted a little with her hands as she spoke, her tone carried a hint of nervousness as well. Obito suspected she wasn't used to being at the forefront of attention. He related quite a bit, he himself was often overlooked by his peers due to being a late bloomer.
"Well," Obito smiled assuringly to both of them. "I'll make sure I can give you the best support I can to help you with your dreams!"
He stood from his crouching position, stretching out his legs to ease the tension, and smiled widely.
"Tomorrow, meet me at training ground number 7! 8am! Oh, and you might want to skip breakfast. The first training sessions gonna be brutal!"
Naruto smirked. "Bring it on, I can handle anything you throw at me, Dattebayo!!"

You know, I still want an AU where Mebuki and Kizashi become the team parents for team 7. I have only found one so far and that's Rays of Spring Sunshine by sparklyfaerie over on AO3.
So let's add some more to the internet, lets make a childhood friends au for team 7. For shits and giggles we could also potentially add Sand Cousins to this AU later, also Merchant Haruno clan. (For those wondering what those are here's a link or two or three)
Okay, so here's what I'm thinking. We have merchant Kizashi Haruno who moved to Konoha to help expand business. Mebuki, who was originally from Suna, was a chunin level ninja during the war but retired after and moved with her husband. After the move to Konoha they have Sakura.
Mebuki has gotten a job in the village as a social worker or the equivalent to that. Because of her previously being a shinobi, a lot of her cases are children whose ninja parents died on missions. Most of them being clan kids, it was easy to find new living situations for them with other clan members and then do check ins. A lot of clans already had procedures put in place for this, too. Then, one day, she got her newest cases with a muttered good luck. Mebuki looked them over, Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki. The only survivor of the recently massacred Uchiha clan and the vessel for the nine tailed fox.
Oh dear god, what the hell?! The mom in Mebuki was ready to fist fight someone. What moron deemed it okay to let two little boys who are obviously traumatized live on their own? Nope not on Mebuki's watch.
As the new case worker for each boy, Mebuki does have to go make house calls. She takes Sakura with her, so not only will Mebuki stay calm, with several little eyes watching her, but sometimes having another child there will relax the other, and having them play together gives Mebuki more insight.
"Sakura, be nice to these boys," Mebuki tells her daughter. "Life has not been kind to them, so we must."
The little girl nodded as she followed her mother to the first apartment.
Mebuki almost fainted at the state of the apartment she entered. Does no help this boy clean? Or at least show him how?!
"Are you my new social worker?" Naruto asked, recognizing the symbol on the file in Mebuki's hands.
Mebuki nodded, getting down on the boy's eye level while she talked to him. "Yes, I'm Mebuki Haruno, and this is my daughter Sakura. May we come in?"
The boy was on edge which Mebuki didn't blame him for he has gone through almost as many social workers as he had years on this earth. But after a gentle nudge to her daughter Sakura got him to relax a little. The way he bombarded her daughter proved Meuki's suspicions true, the boy was starved for attention. It was partly why Mebuki brought her along, and her daughter's empathy was sometimes needed to help gaining other children's trust.
Sakura spending time with Naruto also gave Mebuki an insight that this boy was indeed left to fend for himself. Well, she'll have to change that. One of these days later this week, she'll have to come back with Sakura to start teaching Naruto basic life skills. She'll be damned if this boy is only surviving off ramen.
The next stop was Sasuke Uchiha's apartment. This one Mebuki was more hesitant on bringing Sakura to. Trauma and the reaction to it is unpredictable, especially in ones so young. Mental health is also often ignored among shinobi and ninja clans. Mebuki highly doubts Sasuke has received anything in healing besides his physical body.
Unsurprisingly, the boy is angry and demands they go away. Unfortunately, Mebuki is just as if not more stubborn. She's a former shinobi. Does he really think a locked door is gonna stop her?
She makes a deal with Sasuke, if she can get in then he'll work with her since he'll be seeing a lot of her in the next few years. Sasuke snorts but takes the deal thinking she won't get in, after all this women is just a civilian.
30 seconds later, Mebuki Haruno is standing inside his doorway file ready in hand.
Mebuki is right that this visit was completely different from the one she had with Naruto. Sasuke kept his focus on her with maybe one or two glances at her daughter after introductions. Sasuke seemed more interested in getting them out as soon as possible and isolating himself. Well, that won't do either. Mebuki makes a mental note to make frequent visits to Sasuke's place. According to his file, the last social worker didn't even try to help this boy with his isolation issues. Guess Mebuki will have to go the exposure therapy route. Even if it's in small bursts with her or with her and Sakura, the boy needs some sort of human interaction.
Maybe she can get him and Naruto to hang out one day? Though they may need Sakura there to buffer out the two as a middle man.
So Mebuki got to work. The Academy was currently on a break for two weeks, and Kizashi was currently away on business, so all of her visits she did have to bring Sakura. Naruto liked having her around. Sasuke seemed to tolerate it. Naruto eagerly took to learning from her, whether it's because he was learning with Sakura or Mebuki actually took the time to patiently explain things to him, she wasn't sure. She still had to break into Sasuke's apartment every time, but she actually got that boy to go out into the world even if it was just errands. And he's acknowledgumg Sakura more on the visits even sorta speaking to her. So that's a win in her book.
It was during this time that Mebuki learned the boys were actually in the same class as Sakura in the academy. She knew they all went to the academy but not the same class. This info from Sakura and the information on how they're treated helps Mebuki adjust on what she needs to do with the boys.
"Mama, Naruto, and Sasuke are lonely," Sakura stated to her after one of the visits.
Mebuki nodded. Her daughter was sharp minded. It did not surprise Mebuki Sakura picked up on the boys' loneliness.
"I want to help them."
"Continue being kind to them Sakura," Mebuki instructed. "They both need it, and maybe a friend."
When the academy started again, Mebuki wasn't surprised to hear the kids didn't interact much. The classroom and children themselves have their own social rules they tend to follow. Sakura was also friends with Ino Yamanaka, one of the most popular girls in class. So by proxy, Sakura was in the middle of the social circle, too. Sasuke wouldn't dare get close to it, and Naruto wouldn't have the chance.
What did give Mebuki some surprises was her first time checking in on the boys without Sakura. Kizashi had recently returned home and was gone again with Sakura on a daddy daughter weekend trip. Naruto, being disappointed that his new friend was away, didn't surprise Mebuki much. But it did hurt to think he thought it was because Mebuki or Kizashi didn't want her around him. Surprisingly the boy let Mebuki comfort him saying no they weren't forbidding it, this was just a planned trip before Naruto became Sakura's friend.
"Where's Sakura?"
Sasuke's question would have thrown Mebuki off had it not been for her ninja background. But she had seen the boy slowly warming up to her daughter.
"She's with her father right now."
"Hn."
This gives Mebuki an idea. On Friday afternoon, while children were in school, Mebuki had placed a sealing jutsu on the boys' apartments, one that locks them out. She also left a note saying they are to come over for dinner. After she sends Sakura to go get Naruto while she goes get Sasuke, and Kizashi starts on dinner.
Sasuke was glaring at her when she got to his apartment. "How did you do this?"
Mebuki smiled, with that pout he was trying to hide Sasuke almost looked his age. "Just because I retired being a ninja doesn't mean I still don't know how to use jutsu Sasuke. Now come on we have some things to pick up before dinner."
And that's how Friday dinners started, leading to weekend sleepovers after Mebuki and Kizashi insist that it was too late for the boys to be wondering in the dark. Kizashi's jokester nature warmed Naruto up to him fast and she swore she saw Sasuke smirk once or twice at one Kizashi's awful jokes. After a while Mebuki could stop putting the sealing jutsu on the apartments when the boys just started following Sakura home on Fridays but she kinda wants to see who figures out how to break the jutsu first.
They still don't interact unless they have to in the academy but Mebuki is starting to suspect that's more on the boys wanting this friendship to be private. Sasuke is naturally a private person and Mebuki suspects that Naruto is afraid of the public either turning one of his friends away from him or that they'll be ostracized like he was.
Mebuki knows this is technically crossing some professional boundaries but honestly she does not give a damn. And technically they're over at her house as Sakura's friends. Good luck trying to deny these boys one of their only two friends.
Mebuki can do without the pranks though. Naruto may be the only one the village blames for them but she knows better. That is not Naruto's handwriting and Naruto was never that detailed before.
It was around the time of graduation that Mebuki was starting to become a little worried. She was excited for the kids don't get her wrong but the politics of the whole thing was a pain in the ass. Newly graduated genin in Konoha were pretty much considered emancipated minors. Genin who were wards of the state like Naruto and Sasuke would be aged out of their social workers care. They would then be put on teams based on skillset. Mebuki was worried how well that was gonna work out for the children. The only ones she can see them working well with is one another but likely hood of all of them ending up on the same team was not very high.
Well she might as well start preparing. She'll have three jonin showing up soon. One to talk to the parent of Sakura and two to talk to her as the social worker to Naruto and Sasuke.
Mebuki couldn't help the laugh when she learned that all three meetings would be with Kakashi Hatake. Oh is he gonna have his hands full, she hopes her little brats gives him hell.
I'm imagining after the war team 7 stumbles into the Haruno's house at some point because Mebuki put that same damn sealing jutsu on all of their apartments. Mebuki starts chastising Sasuke like "Where. Have. You. Been?!" like he's a teenager who missed curfew and not a wanted missing ninja for the last three years. Later on when Sasuke and Sakura start traveling together Mebuki and Kizashi have a bet on how many grandchildren they'll have by the time they return and what the genders will be.

Minato x Reader
Cozy Winter Season
|SFW|
Gender neutral
Tumblr media
You're sitting on the couch, warm and comfortable, protected by the cold, unforgiving snow of Konoha's winter. Despite your comfort, you feel a small tinge of anxiety.
You wonder if Minato is okay.
It is quite cold outside, especially with all the snow it must be hard for a shinobi to work in such conditions. Your eyes dart to the clock for a moment.
tick... tick... tick...
The sound of the clock's consecutive and rhythmic tick was a reminder of each second Minato did not arrive back home in time. But these thoughts of yours, they're nothing, nothing but thoughts, they aren't always true, and you know that. You remind yourself that it's often that he stays at the Hokage's office this late.
As a few seconds pass by, you unfocused your eyes from the clock and reintroduce your mind into the TV. You listen in to a cheerful show. It seemed to be a Claymation of a reindeer with a shiny red nose, a short and sweet movie.
As snow catches on the windows outside, you start to feel more relaxed. The snow on the window dims the room until you are left with a small few candle lights and the rays of the television.
The scents of the candles filling your nose with a pleasant newly baked cookie smell.
It was quiet...
And Peaceful...
Now, you know somewhere within yourself that he is okay. Shinobis are adept at adjusting to their surroundings, especially the hokage himself. And you knew he would be coming home soon.
Despite your nagging anxiety, you find solace in your thoughts and flop onto your side, your body relaxing as the couch curves to fit your body. Grabbing a pillow from underneath your neck, you position it just right so that it's right under your head.
As you rest, you hear something at the door.
The fumbling of keys, shuffling, and humming. You knew who it was.
It was your lovely Minato, here after a long day of work.
His hands struggled to put the key into the knob. Without even looking at him you knew he must be freezing.
You quickly got up with a small grunt, leaving your cozy and comfortable spot on the couch.
As you walked over to the door, you quickly and gently opened the door. Minato looked up from his keys and smiled happily, excited to see you. You're relieved to see him too as you quickly pulled him inside.
While being pulled in, snow trailed behind him, heaps piled up by the door and the balcony and now into your home.
A cold breeze from the outdoors sends a number of chills down your spine, all you wished for at the moment was Minato and to be cozy and warm with him again.
However, the snow trailing back into the house was none of your concern right now. You felt his cold body against yours and you shivered once again. His hands gently holding you as you brought him inside.
Minato looked down at you with a smile as he spoke in a calm manner.
"Ah- Thank you. I was having trouble opening the door, but I suppose that was because of how cold it is outside."
He chuckled slightly as you started to take off his coat that was covered in clumps of snow. You take your hand and gently rub it against his, letting your thumb glide across the back of his hand as you noticed how cold he was, it was almost incredible that he was able to make it back home without turning into an ice popsicle.
"You're freezing."
You whispered under your breath, sighing a bit.
You were worried for him regardless of if he was fine or not. And his calm manner and gentle demeanor of his was something special, he was so calm and happy all the time even after trudging through the snow to return back home.
"Gosh, Minato. Let me help you, you're freezing."
You urged him, still holding onto his body as you ushered him onto the couch with urgency.
All Minato did was look down at you with loving eyes and a small smile, his gaze filled with nothing but warmth and love as he willingly and quietly sat down on the couch.
"You're so good to me. What would I ever do without you?"
He smiled wider, a sense of comfort filled your heart as you looked at his face, his face turning a slight red from being reintroduced into a warmer environment after being in such a cold area. You couldn't help but smile yourself as you looked deep into his eyes for a few moments.
You grabbed the blanket you had previously been using and wrapped it around Minato's body with care, making sure nothing from his being was left out. All warm and cozy.
But was it enough?
After you ran through a few more blankets and pillows, you turn back to him, realizing how silly this looked.
Minato was absolutely covered in blankets and pillows, making him appear as if he was in a small tent.
"Wow. You've outdone yourself, huh?
He starts to laugh, but he loved how you wrapped him so tightly just to keep him warm, how you cared enough about him to open the door and how you so desperately kept him warm. His content eyes gazing longingly at you with affection.
You've tuckered yourself out...
Though you felt embarrassed by the sheer number of blankets you put on him, you still felt a smile tugging at the corners of your mouth as you tried to hide a smile, your cheeks blooming into a pink color.
You decided this was enough. You lay yourself down onto the couch, seeking comfort in the multiple blankets on the couch as you go under a few, crawling to get to Minato's body. He grips your torso and gently placed you on his chest, rubbing your temples with his cold and rough hands as you both begin to feel the heat of the house consume you.
You never thought you could love someone so much. As corny as it sounded, even in your head, everything you've heard about falling in love was right. This feeling was special, something important and valuable. You looked up at Minato's face, and though he was distracted at first, he noticed you in the corner of his eyes and gazed back down at you. He pulled you up some more and pressed gentle kisses on your forehead, one kiss after another around your face and head.
"You're so sweet."
He whispers, nuzzling your ear teasingly.
You were both happy, letting the warmth of the blankets envelop you completely as you melted into each other.

Note
wait, aren't you and Raidou the same age though?
Rai’s like three and a half/four years older than me. So. No. Old man. He’s in his forties for Sage’s sake. That’s like. Ancient. For an active shinobi.

Crystals
One event during the year, the shinobi get to fight each other without consequences. Each rank is given a specific crystal with allotted points attached. The winner with the most points gets one free wish.
Tumblr media
Everybody was in a commotion for the past couple of days. And who wouldn’t be? It was the annual Genin vs. Jonin and Chunin competition! This was the only time of year, outside of the Chunin exams, that Genin, Jonin, and Chunin could all go after each other without getting in trouble! Of course, there were some rules to follow, and several special guests did come in from the Sand Village. Everyone had gone to the Village elders, who were appointed proctors for the game, and attained a crystal, the color represented their class. Blue was for the Genin while the upper ranks received red crystals.
However, this year it was different. Rai lay on a large branch on the tallest tree next to the large wall surrounding the village. She was just able to see into the heart of the village if she turned her head slightly to the right. She laid on the branch, slightly leaning up against the trunk, left hand behind her head and right hand holding up the blood-red crystal the elders had given her several hours ago and left leg propped up. She stared at the gem as it hung from the black string tangled in her fingers. She sighed and laid it and her right hand down on her stomach and looked to the sky. She began to think of what she was going to do this year. She closed her eyes as she began to doze off, all she wanted to do this year was go after Tsunade, however, she wasn’t playing. So, all Rai needed, or wanted, to do was stay out of the line of fire and keep her crystal, and maybe take a nap.
She had fallen into a light snooze, she heard Tsunade’s voice sound off at the beginning of the competition and then lost interest. Something fall onto her stomach causing her to open her eyes. A crow that flew overhead and saw this and brought it to her, a red crystal. She put hers away and picked up the new one to study it. Several squirrels came racing up the tree with several more crystals of blue and red. They perched themselves on the branch above her and looked down at her, crystals hanging from their fuzzy little bodies. Rai looked up at both of them. She sighed, “Looks like I’m in the game now…” she looked off to her right over the village. She did not want this to happen, but these three already had made a small run of the city and found these crystals for her. They already knew what she was going to ask of them. They were small and fairly common around the city, so no one would take a second look at them. She dropped her head and sighed. “All right, let’s go.” She stated to herself and the three critters above her.
Rai stuck to the shadows as she was trained. She was able to sneak around the village without being noticed by any of the players who had walked past her hidden silhouette in the alleyway. She had only followed the shadows for fifteen minutes before she heard two girls bickering. The voices sounded fairly familiar so she crept to as close as the shadows would allow, which was several meters from the girls. She watched them quarrel and begin to fight physically. Something shone briefly and fell to the floor under a box along the other side of the fence.
The blonde-haired girl had no idea that she lost her crystal; she was too involved in the fight with the pink-haired girl. Rai just leaned back against the wall slightly as they drew near; however, her little furry critter friend had scurried along the fence and jumped down beside the box. The squirrel quickly ducked under the box, avoiding the girls’ feet, before poking its head out and scurrying in a circle, around the building to the alleyway where Rai was hidden.
Rai just kept looking at the girls’ fighting to her left. She brought her right hand up to shoulder height as she felt something small grab her clothing and scurry up her back. The squirrel quickly perched itself on her right shoulder and dropped the blue crystal into the awaiting hand. Once the crystal hit the hand, the hand enveloped it. “Good job,” She whispered to the squirrel as she fell back into rhythm with the shadows.
Rai, sticking to the shadows, found herself following a scent to the training grounds. She quickly sunk into the shadows as a gray and small white blur flew by her. “Does he really think that’s going to work?” She asked herself quietly as she came out of the shadows, a hand on her hip, and stared at the dug-up earth where several crystals were buried. She knelt by the soft dirt and dusted away a good layer before spotting three. She grabbed them and covered the hole up before moving to the next obvious one near the training dummy which only held one crystal. She sighed. “He really is that stupid.” She muttered to herself before entering the shadows and finding more lost treasures.
The crow had been flying overhead and saw a gleam from inside a vase on top of a building. It landed on the edge of the vase, quickly looking at its surroundings, before diving in. There was a young man asleep on a table under a small shack-like structure, he posed no threat. The crow dove into the large pot before grabbing the crystal and taking flight when an annoying voice called out a name.
Rai heard an annoying voice before she saw anyone. She was stuck to the shadows, making it almost impossible for her to see who it was. The orange ninja had stopped perfectly in front of the alleyway where she hid. She was going to turn her back on him when she saw a string hanging from his back pouch. She had to move quickly, he was going to take off any second. Rai reached out and was able to gently grab the string and pull up just as the boy leaped off to his left. Rai’s hand enveloped the crystal, so as not to shine, and added it to her collection.
A squirrel had quickly dodged being run over by a brown-haired boy chasing a black-haired man as Rai approached the bathhouse area. The squirrel frantically ran to the shadows with a red crystal around it and jumped into Rai’s awaiting hands before deflating onto its stomach, out of breath. “Poor thing,” Rai muttered as she stroked the little fluff ball before taking off the crystal.
“I told you I buried it!” Rai’s ears perked up to Asuma’s voice.
“I don’t care about the crystal,” A younger's voice came. Rai craned her head as far as the shadows would allow, cradling the tired animal to her chest. She saw a brown haired Hyuuga going after Asuma, however, Asuma didn’t seem in the least bit willing to fight.
“Sorry, Asuma, you let this one on yourself,” Rai muttered as she let the furry critter climb onto her left shoulder before following the shadows to the tree he mentioned and digging up the red crystal.
She stood there under the shade of the tree, recounting her stash in her mind as the crow landed on her opposite shoulder and dropped another red crystal into her open hand. “10, including mine,” She said to herself and her friends, “5 of each.”
The crow on her shoulder took flight to the air. The squirrels scampered off to see if they could find anything else.
Rai slunk back to the shadows. Creeping her way through the village, she had to be quick and cautious. Many others started to use the shadows as well. One corner she turned down, she found Iruka down the alleyway. She stopped quickly. It looked like he didn't spot her. But several other jonin spotted him.
Well, that's not fair. Rai thought as she saw Iruka take a couple steps backwards from the three. Iruka waited for them to attack before making a shadow clone of himself.
One jonin slipped passed Iruka. He went to turn, only to keep moving forward and slam into a wall, knocking himself out. Rai had grabbed him and rerouted his run into the wall. Rai slipped from the shadows and appeared next to Iruka.
Iruka was shocked to see Rai next to him. “Rai?” He asked.
“The fight seemed a little unfair. Hope you don't mind me jumping in.” Rai told him as the other two jonin sized up the newcomer. Iruka nodded. He was grateful for her help. If that was what she was really doing.
“Maybe we should call it,” the one jonin said to the other. They both noticed the ANBU tattoo on Rai's right bicep. “The Chunin is protected by an ANBU.” They went to retreat.
Oh no! They were going to attack one chunin with three jonin. That was not fair in the slightest. Rai lunged forward, quickly vanishing and appearing behind the two. Striking one on the back of the neck with a knife hand, she rendered him unconscious before ducking a punch by the other. She leaped up when he aimed a kick at her crouched form. Lashing out a kick of her own, the sole of her foot made contact with his chest and sent him back into the wall. Knocking him out.
Rai stood up after she landed. Iruka threw up his hands in a guarded stance. He watched as Rai dug through their pockets and pulled out the crystals they had. Plucking the crystals from the trio, they wound up having 5 red crystals in total.
“Here,” she held out four to Iruka. Iruka flinched when she held out her hand, thinking she was going to strike him.
“Ah, thank you.” Iruka was a little confused as he held out his hand. Four? “Ah, Rai, wait.” Iruka called her name when he realized how many he had. “Don't you want more?”
She smiled over her shoulder. “Nah, I already have some.” She held up the one she obtained from the trio. “You take care now.” Calling back to Iruka, she started off before vanishing into thin air.
Rai looked up at the sky from where she hid in the shadows. It had been at least 5 hours since the start of the event. The squirrel came back and deposited another red crystal in her hand. This would make number 17.
“Just leave it,” a voice called out. Rai turned her head to try and locate the voice. It sounded familiar. Upon turning a couple of corners, she saw Raido and Genma leaving the vicinity, hauling stacks of paperwork. One of the squirrels clambered up her pant leg and held a red crystal in its mouth. Rai looked down. It must have been Genma's. It had his scent on it. Taking long strides, she quickly caught up to the pair.
“Genma?” She called from behind him. The brunette stopped and turned to look at who was calling his name.
“Oh, Rai. Nice to see you.” Genma greeted her. Raido stopped and turned to see who it was as well. Brown eyes spotted the red crystal in her hand. The squirrel on her shoulder took off. “Enjoying the event?” He asked wryly.
“Somewhat.” Rai held out the crystal for him. “I believe this is yours.” Genma was surprised she was so willing to hand over his crystal.
“Oh, thanks.” Maneuvering the stack of paperwork, he managed to balance it and hold out his hand. Rai placed the crystal in his hand. Quickly stashing it in his pocket, he went back to supporting the documents with both hands.
“I was really hoping Tsunade would participate.” Rai sighed. “It would be nice to actually go head to head when we are both rested.” The demoness explained. It was no secret that both Tsunade and Rai were headstrong and stubborn. Several times, arguments could be heard from the street. While several wound up in a full brawl with Rai being punched through walls. The glances between the two males didn't go unnoticed. “She's not participating, right?”
“Actually, she is.” Raido mentioned. “She has a crystal. But it's a clear one.”
“Don't tell me, you're going to challenge her?” Genma asked around the senbon in his mouth. “I don't think the village can handle both of you going all out.”
Rai crossed her arms as she contemplated how she was going to go about getting this crystal.
“Rai?” Genma asked concern filled his voice.
Rai took off to the roof outside the Hokage's office. Suppressing her chakra, she snuck to the window. Tsunade was in her chair at the desk. From her vantage point, she couldn't tell if Tsunade was doing anything. Just then, soft snoring barely registered in her ears. Was she? Asleep? Oh this was perfect!
Peaking through the window again, she spotted Tonton. Tonton seemed to be starting to doze off. Rai made a small waving movement to her. Tonton opened her eyes and looked at the window. Quickly, Rai put a finger to her lips. Tonton immediately went quiet. She stared at Rai watching her hold up one of the crystals from the event and pointing to it.
Tonton, being a smart pig, immediately understood. She nodded and went to snuggle into Tsunade. Rai flinched and ducked behind the wall when Tsunade awoke a bit to lean back and allow Tonton into her lap. Tonton curled up into her, chewing the string and getting the crystal for Rai.
Rai held her breath as she prayed that Tsunade wouldn't wake up fully and find her outside her window.
Tonton waited for Tsunade to go back to sleep before wiggling out of her hold and jumping to the floor. She dashed out of the room and down the hall. Rai just barely saw her go through the door when she peaked around the corner of the window.
Tonton headed outside to greet Rai.
“That's amazing, Tonton.” Rai praised her. Reaching into her pouch, she pulled out some treats. Rai almost always kept dog, cat, and animal treats on her person when she was at home. Rai gave Tonton several biscuits in trade for the crystal. “You're the best!” Rai told her. The proud little pig oinked happily. Once done with her treat, she leapt up and into Rai’s arms. The demoness chuckled as she snuggled the piglet. “You are so smart and sweet and wonderful!” She praised. “Thank you.”
Rai released Tonton just as Raido and Genma came up with their boxes of paperwork. Rai dug into her pouch and pulled out 6 red crystals. Three for Raido and three for Genma. The two looked confused at the crystals Rai handed them.
“What's this?” Genma inquired.
“Consider it a thank you,” Rai told them.
“But, these are yours.” Raido went to hand them back.
“Keep them. I have plenty more.” Besides, the clear crystal was worth way more knowing that she got this from Tsunade. Rai smiled as she pocketed the clear crystal.
A golden orange hue set over the village as the event came to a close. The sound of bells echoed across the buildings, signaling all to cease their fighting. Many Shinobi made their way to the missions room to have their total counted.
Tsunade woke up with a start, scaring Tonton. Lady Hokage stretched and wiped her face from the bit of drool that managed to sneak past her lips. Shifting back in her chair, she went to push away from her desk and stand. Standing, she yawned and headed for the door.
Tsunade went to the missions room, on her way there, she went to take the crystal off her necklace. But it wasn't there. “Huh?” She patted her collar. Nothing. Her hands went to her pockets and then her haori. “Where is it?” Tsunade couldn't find her crystal.
“Just 18 this time?” One of the proctors asked Kakashi.
Kakashi sighed, “Naruto was trailing me the entire time.” The silver haired ninja explained. He looked off to the side. Usually, he would be able to get more.
“Huh. Looks like you and Rai didn't do too good this year.” The proctor said as he looked over the list. “Usually you both are in the lower thirties.”
“Oh? How many did Rai get?” Kakashi inquired.
The proctors flipped through the pages. “She only got 7.” Kakashi blinked. That was odd. She normally had more than that. “But one was the Hokage's crystal.” People around them gasped and murmured at the news. Wait. How come the village didn't fall to ruin? How did Rai get the crystal?
Kakashi stuffed his hands in his pockets and smiled. Ata girl, Rai. He praised her mentally. He was proud of her for finding another way to get the crystal besides fighting. Kakashi nodded and left the missions room.
He found Rai leaning on the railing of the bridge. Laced in her fingers was the string that held the clear crystal. Walking up next to her, he leaned on the railing.
“Congratulations.” He told her. “How did you manage it?” Now he was curious. How did she manage to get the crystal from Tsunade? Especially without a brawl.
Rai smiled, her brown eyes still staring at the crystal. “I didn't do anything. It was all Tonton.” Both of them stared at the crystal in her hand.
“I'm proud of you, Rai.” Kakashi praised as he turned and leaned his elbows on the railing. “That must have been hard for you.” A wry smile spread across her lips. As much as she wanted to fight Tsunade without consequence, managing to get something from her without her noticing was just as rewarding.
Rai sighed and propped her head up on her other hand. She allowed for the hand with the crystal to lay along the railing. “It would have been nice to pay her back for punching me through the walls of the academy.” They stood there in silence.
“So, what was your wish?” Kakashi asked. Rai leaned her head onto his shoulder. A content smile on her face and pink dusted her cheeks.
There were a lot of things Rai could have wished for. Longer breaks between missions, more money, less missions, more missions. But, her one wish was already coming true.
Spending more time with Kakashi.
When in front of the council, they asked her what her wish was. She told them that there was no way they could grant her wish. They were confused. Her response was a smile and telling them that her wish was already coming true and she wished for it to continue.
The moment Rai's arm slipped around his, he knew. Their hands intertwined. She didn't need to speak. This was her wish. Spending time with him. This was something he wouldn't mind doing a bit more of.
“Rai! Lady Hokage has a mission for you!” Genma called from down the street.
Rai sighed, dropping her head. It was nice while it lasted. “Well, I guess this is payback for me getting her crystal.” Rai leaned into Kakashi a little more. She wanted to soak up as much time with him as possible.

When I was young my biggest fic headcanon was Inuyasha finding Naruto cos I liked the Inuyasha-Shippou dynamic and Naruto = fox so it was natural I guess. But then I grew up and headcanon reversed with an adult Naruto finding Inuyasha.
Just imagine Ray, a Kakanaru AU adult Naruto in the Inuyasha-verse through some fuuinjutsu mishap, surprised at the open existence of youkai, hiding himself but demons still seem to wary of him no matter how much he concealed his scent, and then stumbling upon the feral waif of a hanyu child. The isolation and discrimination would resonate with Naruto deeply. Plus the white hair and the dog motif would remind Naruto of Kakashi while the child's attitude reminded him of himself. It was like looking at a child of himself and Kakashi. So Naruto would straight up adopt the boy. Tell him he's not worthless for being a hanyou. Teach him, clothe him, feed him, tell him he's not a mistake... All the things he had himself wished for as a child. It would be wholesome and heartwarming. And of course Inuyasha would be trained to fight but he would develop sneaky shinobi techniques as opposed to the brash, juggernaut style in canon. Inuyasha would be called 'pup', and pretend to hate it but secretly love it. Grooming sessions under the guidance of Kurama cos no way a child under his hair would ever have matted fur. Teaching little Inuyasha jutsu so he won't feel as vulnerable on human nights. Actually looking into hanyou biology. The eventual encounter with Sesshomaru is surely gonna be interesting.
The hc is dear to me cos I love neglected children being given parental figures who care about them and the parents themselves healing by taking care of the child. So yeah Naruto as Inuyasha's adoptive father idea is close to my heart.
Look look you need to write this out because it's too fucking adorable.

Title: "A Legacy Carved in Name"
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: A Curious Child
The Uchiha-Hatake household was filled with warmth and laughter as the evening sun cast its gentle rays through the open windows. Kakashi, now known as the Sixth Hokage of Konohagakure, sat on a comfortable armchair while his wife, [Y/N], prepared dinner in the kitchen.
Their son, Sakumo Hatake, a curious young boy with silver hair inherited from his father, walked up to Kakashi with wide eyes full of wonder. He tugged at his father's sleeve, seeking his attention.
"Dad," Sakumo began innocently. "Why did you name me my name? Why am I called Sakumo Hatake?"
Kakashi smiled softly, patting his son's head gently. "Ah, Sakumo... That is an interesting story."
As Kakashi reminisced about the past, he couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over him. His mind traveled back to a time when Team 7 was just starting to form their unbreakable bond. It was during one of their missions that he had met [Y/N].
Flashback...
Kakashi and [Y/N] were assigned together for a mission in a remote village plagued by bandits. They fought side by side effortlessly, their teamwork complementing each other perfectly.
During the peaceful moments between battles, they found solace in each other's company. Conversations flowed easily between them; secrets shared under moonlit nights as they guarded the camp together.
One night, sitting close to [Y/N], Kakashi gazed at her fondly before asking playfully, "If we ever have a child together someday, what would you name them?"
[Y/N]'s eyes sparkled with amusement as she pondered over the question. "Well, Kakashi, if it's a boy, I would name him Sakumo."
Kakashi's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Sakumo...? That's my father's name."
[Y/N] smiled tenderly at him. "I know. It's a way to honor your father's memory and the legacy he left behind. Besides, it has a nice ring to it."
End of Flashback...
Kakashi brought himself back to the present, his eyes filled with affection for his son and gratitude for [Y/N]. He looked into Sakumo's eyes, mirroring his own.
"Sakumo," Kakashi began gently. "Your mother named you after my father, Sakumo Hatake."
Sakumo tilted his head curiously. "But why? Why did she choose that name?"
Kakashi took a deep breath before answering. "Your grandfather was an extraordinary shinobi, just like you are destined to be one day. He was known as the White Fang of Konoha—a symbol of loyalty and sacrifice."
His voice trembled slightly as he continued, "He passed away long before you were born, but your mother believed that by giving you his name, some part of him would always live on within our family—within you."
Sakumo listened intently, absorbing every word with wide eyes.
"And besides," Kakashi added softly with a grin playing on his lips. "Your mother thought it had a nice ring to it too."
A burst of laughter escaped from Sakumo as he playfully nudged his father's arm. The weight of their family legacy resonated deeply within him now.
From that moment onward, Sakumo understood the significance behind his chosen name. His heart swelled with pride and determination inherited from both sides of his family.
As he grew older, Sakumo embraced his destiny as a shinobi, training relentlessly to live up to the legacy that his grandfather had left behind. He became a beacon of strength and justice within Konoha, just like the White Fang before him.
And through it all, Kakashi and [Y/N] watched with immense pride as their son carved his own path in history—a legacy built not just on a name but on love, sacrifice, and an unbreakable bond between father and son.
The End.
