I figure I'll use this space for game design thoughts and previews of things I'm working on for Thirsty Sword Lesbians and other projects
We had a great playtest with the new Shimbo playbook and I think it's text final. This one will go into TSL Book 3: Falling Deeper.
When I set out to write the Shimbo I thought "Haha, this'll be a goofy little playbook" and twenty minutes later I'm weeping at my keyboard because she really cares about helping her friends but she just doesn't know how and she feels like she keeps screwing up! So the Shimbo does have a meaningful emotional arc, and as long as she's doing her best and acting with love in her heart then she'll keep on learning how to do better. <3

Seems like things have been a tad dour of late. Let's lighten it up with my personal favorite Himbos (and Shimbos), ranked.
These things normally countdown to the aces slot, so I'll do that too.
10. First off, Sir Percidal from Wakfu. He's only just nice enough to make this list, he really comes into his full Himbo glory in the second season when he is joined by his Shimbo daughters.
9. Elely, Percidal's boisterous Shimbo daughter. She may be young, but there is no intelligence there, only wisdom, love, and violence.
8. We don't see a lot of Ruby in Steven Universe, but we see enough to know not all Ruby's are shimbos. However, Garnet's Ruby half definitely is. She makes the list for her solo song Ruby Rider.
7. Micheal Kelso wasn't always the best person and perhaps sometimes fell out of being a proper Himbo, but he still makes the list for his complete inability to understand anyone with a reasonable shred of intelligence.
6. Possibly the newest Himbo on my list: Kirishima, if ever there was a more positive character with fewer braincells, I'm not sure I know of him.
5. Another Shimbo for my list has to be Scorpia.
4. Any Himbo list lacking Kronk would be a crime. He's probably the first to come to mind for a lot of people.
3. Leon Orcrot is the perfect kind of Himbo to tease (which is probably why Count D is always doing it). He does grow up a little through the story, but I almost wonder if that ends up making him even more of a Himbo?
2. George of the Jungle has got to be one of my favorite himbos, not the least because I prefer a sleeker body type, he's also one of the more genuinely sweet himbos~
1. It's probably just nostalgia, but The Tick is my favorite Himbo. I grew up with the cartoon, but the live action is truly delightful and Patrick Warburton does a fantastic job with the incorrigible lunk.

every so often i forget himbo is based off bimbo and try to imagine a female version and also come up with “shimbo”

What are Pink Onyx's pronouns?
They are fluid and answer to any. They sometimes answer to different ones depending on who is most dominant. When perfectly stable (when that happens) they like "they" best but do not dislike any others. Just highest preference. You can literally refer to them as he, she, they in the same sentence and they will enjoy it. They dislike "it."
Tl;dr: pronouns are onyx/onyx, he/they, she/they, himbo/shimbo/thembo, vibes/totinos.

My latest dnd character, Keerso Korallon the aarakocra gunslinger who is a bounty hunter. Quite a far cry from my usual big dumb himbos, shimbos and thembos I tend to play in dnd lmao

This post rubs me the wrong way. feels a bit like when tumblr girlies wanted to apply “himbo” to women in the benign, loving, affectionate sense it’s used for men, but the female equivalent is the inherently derogatory “bimbo,” so they cooked up “shimbo.” Given that what’s really going on here is being amused at Jackie for being stereotypically feminine and lacking manual skills. I think there’s also a layer of twee homophobia here in that the word everyone is really reaching for is “f*ggy.” It just overall feels weird to me
