Tumblr media
decided to make my younger self happy and doodle one of my oldest d&d characters, Mayis :)
[Image ID: A digital portrait sketch with basic coloring. It shows a Tiefling woman with lavender skin and ram like horns that sprout from her forehead and curl around the sides of her head. The tips of her horns are adored with sharp metal caps. She has yellow sclera and pale yellow irises, making her eyes look like they’re glowing. Her reddish, dark brown hair is pulled into a low bun with a braid wrapped around it, with two wisps of jaw length hair escaping and framing her face. She smiles, turned away from the viewer in three quarters view. She wears a pink capelet, white blouse, and dark, dusty pink leather armor that’s styled like a corset. Her blouse has a window in the front to show her cleavage. There are faint hints of a beard on her jaw. End ID.]

I... I NEED an episode of Earthspark where the Maltos play DND (or like. A knock-off of DND, unless they can actually use it bc Hasbro owns it.)
Alex DMs bc it was one of his favorite games from the 80's and it's a great way to Bond (and also it was his turn to pick the game for family game night).
(...They play it every time its Alex's turn for the next year.)
Dot doesn't play a character directly but does play a few NPCs and helps to describe some of the scenes sorta like a co-dm (Alex talked about the whole campaign he's planned to her bc That's His Wife and so she knows too much to actually be a player).
Robbie doesn't want to at first but didn't have a choice (on the grounds of family game night). But eventually he realizes that the buffs/weaknesses/stats aren't that different from the video games he plays and he has fun!
Mo has a great time and whenever the Maltoparty spends 30 minutes trying to figure out how to escape a room she is the first to suggest to try opening the door. It works. It was not locked.
Twitch isn't particularly interested in the explanation of the game mechanics but when it comes to NPCs (improvized by Alex & Dot) she is IMMEDIATELY asking questions and getting to know them all (and gets gutted when one of them ends up betraying her and the rest of the Maltoparty. It happens five times.)
Thrash doesn't wanna do "boring number stuff" (he was also dragged into it bc it's family game night) but his interest is piqued when he hears he can do cool fighting stuff but then it dips again because "come on I have to do MATH before I get to do cool stuff?"
He does not land a single hit in combat.
Hashtag the bard gets INCREDIBLY into the acting/improv aspect of the game and without a doubt more than likely pulls out the voice she used from the "VILLAIN SCHOOL!!!" bit.
It scares Jawbreaker.
Jawbreaker is in a perpetual state of mildly-to-moderately confused about how the rules work and at one point gets a nat 20 and says "...is that good?" when everyone starts cheering. He also took the longest to pick what he wanted his character to be (there were so many good choices!).
Nightshade is delighted when they realize how much of the game is based on math and calculation, but also on fantasy lore like in their books!
They play an artificier and they may or may not have to be stopped from making the gadgets they make in the game in real life.
Bumblebee is reluctant at first but then he gets into it.
He makes The Most Epic Paladin Ever.
He gets killed in a level one fight.
They promise there'll be a point in a bit where they can find a way to bring him back or introduce his new character (he changed one letter of the name).
Until then he's stuck playing Borf the Dwarf for an hour.
Mo tries to cheer him up while he sulks.
It's a little effective.
...also the entire time GHOST agents/rogue decepticons are trying to attack the Maltos but somehow they end up failing without anybody really noticing.

Mmmm I'm bored and it's almost 6 am and I cannot sleep.
I'm gonna assign the Empires SMP s2 cast DnD classes for the fun of it.
Joel: He's a Sorcerer for sure, but idk if wild magic or blue draconic bloodline is more fitting. On one hand, he dipped into a magic fountain to become a God which is very wild magic leaning. On the other hand, blue dragon ancestry would give an obvious affinity to lightning, and an excuse for his obsession with gold and the common teal/blue themes of his Stratos builds. You also can get wings. Idk, I like both a lot here.
Fwhip: Have you seen those funky Redstone signs? This little guy is an artificer all the way. After he made that sick mace? I'm gonna say he'd run the battle smith archetype. Idk funny little goblin tinkerer is just fun to me.
Jimmy: Fighter, gunslinger archetype. He's a cowboy, look at him. What else could he possibly be? I know he doesn't have a gun (yet) but I think he deserves it with all the gunpowder. He's also Just Some Guy and sadly fighter is the most Just Some Guy class there is.
Pixlriffs: The archivist artificer subclass was literally made for this man. Tinkering around with insane redstone, litematica, the obsession with the past and knowing things he shouldn't necessarily know, like it's all there. It's perfect for him. I love him.
Sausage: Oath of Devotion paladin, for sure. He's the protector of Sanctuary, it's his duty to protect his friends and his people, to stay true to them no matter what. He will protect his people and those he cares about. Also you literally get access to the spell Sanctuary as part of the extended spell list. Come on.
Scott: Wild magic Sorcerer. If a wizard gives you a glass eye that is SO going to have random magical consequences, and with how often Owen goes between human and Llama I wouldn't be shocked if it was related. They're also charisma casters and look at him. Look at him.
Joey: Gunslinger fighter again but this time with the pirate background specifically. He literally has a gun. What else could he be?
Oli: The man is literally a college of glamor bard. Like this isn't even a question. Come on now.
False: Oh an artificer all the way, look at the steampunk aesthetic going on here. I wanna give her artillerist because she definitely seems like the type to develop a flamethrower, but I think alchemist fits her lore (the whole amnesia potions thing) a bit better. Another one I'm a little torn on.
Gem: What else could she be but a light cleric? She is the princess of the sun and she started a church for the sun. Light cleric. Boom.
Katherine: Definitely barbarian, but the subclass isn't clear. I might need to homebrew a monster hunter subclass here because while that would normally be a ranger thing I guess, this isn't the first time I've wanted to build a monster hunter with a big sword or big axe. For now, I'll say wolf totem warrior.
Shelby: Wild magic Sorcerer with really bad luck who decided to multiclass into the actual alchemist class on the side, but not enough to pick an archetype. Her spells go wrong all the time, often on accident, she doesn't learn from a book, she's having a great time. Sorry you got polymorphed into a frog lol.
Lizzie: Another wild magic sorcerer except she stopped trying after she turned herself into a cat and decided to instead become an arcane trickster rogue. She is not a cat, she prommy. She totally will not steal from you the moment you aren't looking. She enchanted her mask to make her look human. She is human. Worry more about your chests. Don't ask about the amethyst. She has expertise in deception.

D&D classes (and some races) for my OCs by popular demand:
Nikodemus - Fuck-off old human wizard. Either School of Necromancy or Transmutation, with perhaps some multiclass dips into mystic (Order of the Immortal). Power over energy, life and death either way.
Avita - Sorceress, Divine Soul origin. Aasimar blood dormant on her father Nikodemus' side. Some dips into druid and warlock levels too.
Silas - CENTAUR DRUID. Circle of the Shepherd centaur druid, to be precise. He's so cinderella coded AND half-critter anyway, should be allowed to talk to critters 😔 Favoured wildshape (just to vibe in) is an elk. Fox companion.
Daniel - One of the legendarily hilarious examples of bad character creation in D&D. A posh, uptight and modest half-elf bard. Zero rizz. College of Glamour. Violinist. Yes I know a low charisma bard is essentially useless, he fits the bill. Gets his hands on some Tomes of Leadership eventually, literally reads himself into confidence.
Sally - Human fighter, close quarters shooter style. Gunslinger archetype (it's an unofficial subclass but give me a break). You know she has that heat on her.
Vanya - Vampire Rogue but make it the Inquisitive or Mastermind archetypes and pair that with some scholarly background like Investigator or Anthropologist.
Constance - Guardian Paladin. Watchers oath. I'll only tentatively touch on race for Constance and... warforged? But don't ask why he looks so human. Don't ask who forged him either.
Angel - Green dragonborn rogue turned ranger (long story..). Unarmed fighting style (who needs weapons when you fuckin lorge). Poison breath fits with his original lore somewhat.
And uh. Lumen's likely some sort of boss monster, she really doesn't fit into any class OR race. Just a funky guy in your way. Very happy to be released from the mortal coil and back into the cosmic.
This doesn't mean i'm giving them all a d&d verse (although.. do tell me if something catches your eye), it's just a fun little thing i'm doing!

Could I get some advice on party comp? I've just started a new run with an Oath of the Ancients Paladin, and I've got:
- Gale as an Evocation Wizard
- Karlach as a Wildheart Barbarian
- Wyll as a Blade Warlock (might respec into Chain though, I just wanted to see what Blade was like).
I am 100% set on keeping these characters with me for roleplay reasons, but the second I swapped out Shadowheart I started suffering immensely. SH was respecced into a temporary Dex character, she was my Wis character for perception checks, she had Guidance, and finally my paladin's healing capabilities are simply not as good and it's difficult to keep up.
Would it be worth it for my paladin to take a dip in cleric or bard? And is there a way to respec the other three for a better party comp? I've tended to pick things based on the Vibes when I played dnd, so I've never been great at optimising. Thanks for the help! (If you decide to answer this lol)
you can switch wyll to a paladin (vengeance) 5 / warlock (fiend) 5 / fighter 2 which is a v strong build that keeps him with his canon subclass as well! he's still going to be damage focused here, but has a bunch of attacks, spells and smites (which are super strong!)
for karlach you can either go barbarian 9 / rogue (thief) 3, or barbarian 5 / fighter (battlemaster) 7. i would say for wildheart barb karlach, you would want to take the thief 3 option, and give her bear or elk heart. she would be super tanky with lots of actions! give her duel wielder feat and let her smash!!!!!
gale is totally fine going to level 12 like that, but from a min max point of view 12 in any class isn't worth it, aka the extra feat isn't worth it. a multiclass into cleric 1 can work very well for wizard, with tempest or light subclass. however he really will be completely fine going straight to 12. the reason to go for cleric is heavy armour, and you won't lose spell slot progression.
paladin is honestly, imo, a very strong class for multiclassing, but usually with it as the less levels of the classes. you can go sorcerer or warlock extremely easily, these are kinda memed on for how op they can be. for palalock you can honestly go anywhere, 7/5, 6/6 and 5/7, that's personal choice. for sorcadin you either want to take 2 paladin / 10 sorcerer, or 6/6. for bard, you'd want 2 paladin / 10 swords bard. for cleric, 2 paladin / 10 tempest cleric would essentially be max damage smite build. the idea of paladin being a supreme charisma caster, it is quite similar to the wyll build.
bare in mind none of these are supports. you would still want to round this off with someone being a support. if you specifically want me to figure out how to turn one of these into a support, let me know!!! i have plenty of support builds but none come from warlock, wizard, barbarian or paladin. if you want a support i really like lore bard for debuff, buff and healing support, you could put that on wyll if you don't mind losing warlock. if you're willing to lose wizard as a dps, you can turn gale into 1 life cleric / 11 abjuration, focusing on warding! but i have not looked into this build massively and cannot promise it will handle solo supporting entirely.
i hope this helps!!

kicks my feet tell me about Roxanne what's she like what's her favourite food why is she gettin timeloop'd
THANK U CHERRY!!!!
when double checking to make sure i was associating the right person with ur url (i was, i just get worried about that), i saw ur a narrative fuckery enjoyer. well, ur in luck for this character.
she is a changeling bard (college of lore), for all the 5e mechanics shit. she’s also currently got a 2 level dip into rogue (thanks Liza). her background is sage, bc she’s technically working at a university rn and it vibed.
she used to be an entirely different person, named Dove Valor. a different name, different face, different pronouns. and when he was Dove! well, he was married to a cultist, who was an asshole. so, eventually, Dove realized it was his husband’s life, or his own. so! he killed him! and Roxanne Andromeda came into being. uhh. 3 years later, shit is happening again, and the campaign begins.
she’s a pretty secretive person? and tbh i get possessed when i play her, so ive got no clue how to accurately summarize what she’s like. she’s sharper than i am, in her movements, in her words. i do not know what her fave food is, probably something Flamewind showed her.
she, technically, isn’t getting time looped. every other player is, however. this is the first loop where she’s existed. every time the main villain loses to the players, he resets the world all the way back to the beginning. this has happened 11 times. on the 12th time, he actually won. and Wonder (another PC) reset it instead. this is the final possible loop, cuz eberron has a fun thing about the number 13.
Roxanne Andromeda has never existed before this loop. and not just this iteration of her - Dove Valor, Kat, Malachi, Felicity Diamond, Vir, whatever name she goes by, has never existed. instead, her *role* in the prophecy, in the fabric of the universe, has always existed. theres always been some poor fool married to Dmitri Valor. theres always been someone who Dmitri was planning on sacrificing to try to free Ran Iishiv. but this is the first loop that that role has been broken. Roxanne didn’t die, she wasn’t sacrificed to free some Overlord.
so why this is happening? why is she new? your guess is as good as mine. i personally think she’s The Traveller’s (the traveller is a god of chaos and change) poor little meow meow. but i dont know for sure!
THIS GOT LONG SORRY

I posted this in discord months ago but I’m back on the Private Recording 1 guys as D&D characters train and there’s gonna be a fair bit of rambling under the cut but PLEASE feel free to input
SO the OG4 I had pretty much set in stone already:
Chilled - Changeling College of Whispers Bard / Arcane Trickster Rogue
College of Whispers Bard is literally Project Winter ID thief. Steal people’s memories and identities after they die? High CHA for peak persuasion and deception? + Arcane Trickster for magical thiefy activities, this is peak ‘little shit’ class combo Shubble - Aasimar Pact of the Celestial Warlock (With Pact of the Chain Boon)
More CHA based spellcasting but this time is ethereal and powered by the magic of the higher planes. Shubble literally RADIATES light and happiness so this is perfect. Pact of the Chain Boon for Find Familiar Starlord companion
Ze - Tiefling Circle of Wildfire Druid / Light Domain Cleric
Okay so the horns motif? Tiefling. Circle of Wildfire Druid encompasses the Project Winter wolves and the recent Among Us arsonist role by letting Ze summon a literal fire wolf spirit AND cast hella fire spells. Light Domain Cleric dip for weapon and armor proficiency and the ‘Viking’ vibe
Cheesy - Half-Elf Wild Magic Sorcerer
Wild Magic Sorc is the embodiment of ‘I have no idea what I’m doing but I’m winning’ and boy if that isn’t our Cheese. Anyway this party def needed a THIRD Charisma caster and if there were anyone to accidentally kill the party by fireballing on accident it would be this guy.
Now I wanna do more people and I have less solid ideas for these guys
Platy - Human?/Kalashtar? College of Lore Bard
So Platy is 100% Bard - Went for College of Lore as a base bc Platy is such a storyteller / entertainer type person but I’d have to really read up on some other bards to be sure. Initially had him as Human but Kalashtar can work too - turning prophetic dreams into storied to tell would be super cool
Kara - High Elf Wizard (Necromancy? Divination? Chronurgy?)
So obviously Kara has the Corvid/Crow motif and is pretty much universally labelled as the smart one of the group so a Wizard with a crow Familiar felt appropriate, but I don’t know what kind of Wizard? The crow gives of kinda Necromancy vibes but idk if there are any more appropriate subclasses
Also maybe forgoing the crow familiar and just having Kara be an Aarakocra / Kenku but I like the idea of Kara with her crow / Shubble with her cat
Jeremy - Dwarf?/Goblin?  Way of the Drunken Monk / ? Barbarian
Okay so unfortunately if anyone is gonna be a small race it’s gonna be Jeremy and honestly this is a combo of Jeremy’s history of getting punchy/shovy when he’s shitfaced and the fucking Liquor Goblin character he played on Heroes and Halfwits.  Monk/Barb combo gives the option for Dex or Str which makes sense bc Jeremy was a literal gymnast but could also very easily just beat you to death with raw muscle
Tay - ???
Full disclosure I had Tay on here bc I wanted to work these out in sets of 4 and I have some vague ideas but I really have nothing concrete for Tay. Barbarian for Tay Rage? Inquisitive/Assassin rogue bc she’s the best assassin in the game? I have no idea plz help

Updated Class Choices in Actual Play: main PCs
Original post here, I’m just doing the whole thing again instead of reblogging or something like that. Since making this post I’ve fully caught up with NADDPod and RQG and there’s been several new D20 seasons, so LET’S GO
potential spoilers for anything that isn’t a one-shot in Critical Role, TAZ Balance or Graduation, NADDPod, RQG, Relics and Rarities, and all D20 seasons. Also for reference: I’m counting Trinyvale and The Mavrus Chronicles as main campaigns, as well as all the D20 sidequests.
If a player or a PC leaves/character dies mid-campaign the character still counts as a main PC, as does that player’s replacement if the player themselves didn’t leave (eg: both Scanlan and Taryon are considered main PCs for CR campaign 1).
In a couple cases I did have to guess regarding what the base class was, for characters who were multiclass builds from the start, and I’ll note that.
Rusty Quill Gaming is pathfinder rather than D&D, and subclasses don’t fully line up (as for classes, most do and I’m counting Cel’s class as Artificer/Alchemist subclass in D&D).
In the case of subclass or class changes, which has happened a few times in D20 in particular, I’ve noted the change
Keep reading if you want the actual information!
Fighter is the most common, with 11, plus two multiclass dips into fighter. And, like D&D at large, human fighter is a very popular race/class combination. Champion is the most common subclass, with four characters (Magnus from TAZ, Hardwon from NADDPod, Fabian from Fantasy High, and Veros from Relics and Rarities). All but Fabian are humans, at least to start off, and Fabian and later Hardwon are half-elves. Bertie from RQG likely would have been the champion archetype in D&D as well. There are two battlemasters (Boomer and Jet, both from D20), and then it’s all over the place. The multiclassers are both barbarians multiclassed into battlemaster (Grog and Amethar). Of the fighters, one multiclassed into a rogue, one into a bard, and one (Jet) switched into fighter having originally been a rogue.
[edit on Nov 28 per an anon ask - Magnus is actually a Battlemaster despite Big Champion Energy! which means of the fighter-as-main-class, we have 3 each of champions and battlemasters, and Bertie from RQG which is pathfinder, and then one each of gunslinger (Percy), eldritch knight (Theo), arcane archer (Hungry Dave), and echo knight (Henry)]
Cleric is next up with 10, plus three characters who multiclassed into cleric. There’s no clear favorite for subclass - grave is the only domain with two characters (Caduceus and Efink) and the rest vary. Two characters, Kristen Applebees and Zolf Smith, have changed domains (and deities) over the courses of their respective campaigns. All but one of the dwarven main characters in actual play has been a cleric, and there have been a few humans, but otherwise it’s again pretty scattered. The multiclasses have also not shown a clear favorite (1 war, 1 city, 1 tempest). Note: I considered Fia and Saccharina both to be multiclasses into cleric, as well as Bob; no cleric base classes have multiclassed into another class. All the multiclasses into cleric are other spellcasting classes (wizard, sorcerer, and bard).
Barbarian and rogue are tied with 9 characters each, plus one multiclass into barbarian and three into rogue.
Barbarian: three berserkers, two each of ancestral guardian and zealot, and one each of wild soul and storm herald. There are two half-orcs and otherwise no race preference. As mentioned, two multiclassed into battlemaster fighters; there’s also a multiclass from barbarian into sorcerer (Fitzroy) and artificer (Gorgug). The lone multiclass into barbarian is Moonshine Cybin, a druid.
Rogue: there are two arcane tricksters, two inquisitives, and two swashbucklers, plus an assassin, a mastermind, and Sasha Racket who in D&D would probably be a thief. Thanks to D20 being like “toy is a race now” it’s hard to say what the overall race breakdown is, even counting all A Crown of Candy characters as human variants, but there are 1.5 goblins (Nott/Veth being the 0.5) and three confirmed humans (Ruby Rocks, Sasha Racket, and Marcus St. Vincent). Of the multiclasses into rogue, two are rangers who chose the assassin subclass (Vex and Liam Wilhemina) and one is a fighter (Magnus Burnsides, subclass not clear). The two rogues who multiclassed are Vax, who took levels in vengeance paladin and one in druid, and Ruby, who took levels in shadow sorcerer. (note: Jet Rocks is counted as a fighter as she gave up her rogue class entirely, but she was a rogue to start)
Bard is next with 8 characters, all but one of whom (swords) is a lore subclass, with one multiclass into bard. Fig Faeth was formerly a college of whispers bard, but switched into lore during Fantasy High Live. There are two tieflings and two fairies from D20, who I believe use elf stats, plus a high elf, a human, a gnome, and an aasimar. The multiclass into bard is Fabian Seacaster, a fighter; the multiclasses from a bard base class are Fig (into hexblade) and Bob (into city cleric).
Druid and Paladin are the next most common, with six characters; there is one multiclass into druid and two into paladin (and Vax is responsible for most of this)
Druid: The only repeat subclass is circle of the shepherd (Kugrash and Lillith) - the rest all again all over the place, and all six have different races. The multiclass into druid is the aforementioned Vax (rogue and paladin); the only druid to multiclass out is the aforementioned Moonshine (into barbarian).
Paladin: two oath of devotion (one of which, Ricky Matsui, switched to oath of redemption), one oath of the ancients and for a while, vengeance (Beverly), one oathbreaker (Cody “Night Angel” Walsh) and two are from pathfinder and difficult to determine from a D&D standpoint (Grizzop, of Artemis, and Azu, of Aphrodite). The races are completely all over the place again. None of the paladins have multiclassed, but there are two multiclasses into paladin (Vax and Fjord, a rogue and warlock respectively, into oath of vengeance and oath of the open sea, also respectively).
We have a four-way tie for next most common, with five each of ranger, sorcerer, warlock, and wizard.
Ranger: two beast master, two gloomstalker, and a hunter. There are two half-elves (Vex and Nyack) and no other real patterns. No one has multiclassed into ranger, but Vex and Liam W. both as mentioned multiclassed into assassin rogues.
Sorcerer: three draconic, one storm, and one wild magic. Two are human, and there are no other preferences for race. One (Saccharina) multiclassed into tempest cleric, and there are two multiclasses into sorcerer, both from battle classes (Fitzroy, a barbarian, into wild magic, and Ruby, a rogue, into shadow).
Warlock: three are hexblades, because let’s face it that class is extremely cool, one is a celestial warlock and one is a genie. No significant race overlap (technically, Lapin Cadbury uses the human stat block, and Iga is human) (I am assuming pactwraiths have revenant stats but like. who knows). The common ground for multiclassing into warlock is “Emily Axford likes to play hexblades”, with both Fig and Sofia taking levels in it; Fjord is the only warlock to multiclass out, into oath of the open sea paladin.
Wizard: two transmutation, one divination, one necromancer, and one chronurgist. Two are high elves, with no other preferences for race; Fia is the only one to have multiclassed (into war cleric) and no one has multiclassed into wizard.
And finally, tied for last but with four each, we have monk and artificer.
Monk: no subclass overlap until Sofia switched to Way of Shadow, but three are humans and one is probably a human equivalent (bittyfolk from Tiny Heist) - the subclasses represented are Cobalt Soul, Drunken Master, Shadow, and Long Death. No multiclasses into monk (like ranger, monk doesn’t offer too many benefits in a multiclass dip) but Sofia Bicicleta took a level in hexblade warlock.
Artificer: despite not being made official until relatively recently, this caught up, thanks to Zonk Verbena Zirk Vervain. Three are either alchemists or probably the equivalent thereof (Taryon is based on the UA version but is pretty clearly not a gunsmith, and Cel’s class is technically Alchemist, not Artificer, but Artificer with the alchemist subclass is probably the closest 5e equivalent), and one is an artillerist; no race preference. None have multiclassed, but Gorgug (barbarian) has taken a level in artificer.
And finally, there is one Bloodhunter, Mollymauk Tealeaf/Lucien is his name, murdering Cerberus Assembly members is his game.
-----------------------
several other fun facts from the giant list I made to do this:
Number of characters who have switched races or bodies during their campaign: 3
Number of characters who have switched deities/patrons during their campaign: 7
Number of characters who have briefly not had a class while their party was mid-level, with said change representing a major turning point for their character, but then came back stronger than ever having addressed the negative behaviors they learned from a seafaring father figure and having acquired a new plot-relevant weapon, and immediately multiclassed into a class that uses charisma for spellcasting: only two but it’s weird it happened twice
Number of characters whose first name or nickname is a food or drink: 6
Number of characters whose first name or nickname is a food or drink from A Crown of Candy: 0
Number of characters who typically go by only one name (ie, actively do not use their last name or any titles): 18
Number of characters who go by a given name and title/descriptor (eg: Adjective Firstname, Firstname the Title, Firstname of the Place): 8
Number of characters with three-part names (first, middle, last): 2
Number of characters with four-part names (first, two middles/a two-word nickname, last): 3
Number of characters with no name: 1
Percival Friedrickstein Von Musel Klossowski De Rolo III: but you can call him Percy

i was looking through the mighty nein’s stats and i thought it would be interesting to see what possible choices the team has for multiclassing and what i think would be the most likely/interesting pick. (note, i’m aware that it’s unlikely most of them would multiclass, such as the two clerics who would miss out on automatic divine intervention, but this is just for fun.) gonna base these off of their current lvl 13 stats, and ignore the possibility of changes later, either from ability score improvements, or DM gifts.
beau
beau has access to: fighter, rogue, cleric, druid, artificer, ranger, wizard.
honestly any of these would work pretty well with beau, the only ones that i think she would balk at would be druid (i doubt marisha would dip into that again, plus beau doesn’t seem like the type) and wizard, because of her open distain for most of them. i doubt she has any desire in forming an intimate relationship with a god but cleric would be extremely interesting for her if she wanted to dabble in spellcasting. (knowledge domain?) she could use some range, so ranger wouldn’t be too bad. and artificer would be a great show of her smarts, but those tend to be a little more support, while beau prefers to get up in it. so i think the most likely choices for beau would be fighter or rogue.
dueling fighting style to get an extra +2 damage (assuming her staffs count as one handed? i’m actually not sure. if not then great weapon fighting i guess.) second wind is good and action surge would be amazing on beau, basically giving her six attacks. martial archetype, battle master would be an interesting pair with her ki points.
rogue i feel would be best for beau if she wanted to go ranged (because i don’t know if staffs and fists are finesse) to get that sneak attack unless she’s willing to trade her bo for a shortsword, however you really can’t go wrong with cunning action and expertise. archetype i’d go with scout for skirmisher or swashbuckler for fancy footwork. honestly mixing and matching between rogue and fighter is great for up close melee fighters, like lvl 2 fighter for action surge, and lvl 5 rogue for uncanny dodge. beau would be great with uncanny dodge.
caduceus
cad has access to: bard, druid, fighter, monk, rogue, ranger, sorcerer, warlock.
cad is not a melee fighter, so the physical classes are out (tho monk!cad would be so funny, imagine cad being like “oh ok, time to square up”) and of the spell casting ones bard and druid are definitely the best options.
for the longest time before i watched c2 proper, i thought cad was a druid, and i’m genuinely surprised that he hasn’t multiclassed yet. everything about him screams druid. unfortunately, i don’t know enough about druids to know what set up would work the best for him, but i’d imagine forest or swamp land circle would be good. (spores sounds like it would be a good fit on paper, but cad is really averse to the undead, so that doesn’t quite line up.)
cad’s no singer, but if they got him another bone flute he’d be pretty set with bard. it’d be a really interesting choice for him, just a little more extra support in the form of bardic inspirations and countercharm. jack of all trades would also help off-set some of his more lack luster skills. for college i’d say either glamour, or valor. (valor has that cool feature where you can add inspiration to a damage roll or ac.)
caleb
caleb has access to: artificer, bard, cleric, druid, sorcerer, warlock.
i honestly have no clue what caleb would multi into if he wanted to. none of these options really fit him as a person. i could see him maybe going warlock if he’d gone down a much darker path but he doesn’t seem to care for higher power. really the only option of these that i think he might even consider is artificer, as it’s the only one that uses intelligence. but even that, not really. college of lore bard for cutting words and additional magical secrets?? eh.
tho i will say, with just one more point in dex, he could be a monk, and wouldn’t that be an interesting story beat for the empire siblings.
fjord
fjord has access to: barbarian, artificer, bard, fighter, sorcerer
since fjord already has two classes, it’s unlikely he’d desire to pile more on, especially since he just got a new homebrewed oath and he’ll likely want to get as much as he can out of it. but if he did, i’d say go for bard with that max charisma, or fighter.
honestly i just think it’d be really funny if he leaned back into the texas accent and all his bard songs were country. college of swords (dueling) or eloquence. bard gives him more variety of spells and some extra support.
for fighter fighting style, go for dueling - unless he picked that for paladin, but i don’t think he did - defense, or protection. martial archetype, definitely eldritch knight for some bonus wizard spells.
jester
jester has access to: druid, fighter, monk, rogue, ranger, warlock.
i WAS gonna say “wild magic sorcerer” (various members of the team - who don’t seem to understand how clerics work - made a big point to be like “no jester the magic was always in you!” and it would be interesting if that ended up being true and she was a sorcerer.) but then i realized her charisma is just shy of enough, so i’m gonna say what literally everyone else has already said: warlock.
celestial. the moonweaver. i don’t really think more needs to be said on that, there’s some good metas about it already. (tho, i could also see her being an arcane trickster rogue, but i doubt that would happen because for one, laura already tried rogue with vex, and they already have veth. but if jester did want to try melee, that’s probably what she’d do.)
veth
veth has access to: artificer, wizard, fighter
while it would make total sense for veth to pick wizard, i feel like the arcane trickster part of her already covers that. honestly artificer would be the more interesting pick. i know sam already played an artificer, but so much of veth’s character already covers artificer, especially with how she tinkers around and makes things. it also gives her access to support spells, including cure wounds. honestly i just think it’d be so funny if the nein could ALL heal. (focusing so much on support and healing this campaign has really been the key to their successes honestly.)
veth has a lot of moments where she’s like “i don’t know what do, i can’t get sneak attack!” so having at least the option to heal or throw out a buff spell would up her choices whenever she feels stuck. support artificer spells like flaming sphere, faire fire, and grease can be clutch.
alchemist of course. it would just be such a great way to combine caleb and yeza’s influence on her.
i’ll also say fighter, with an archery fighting style for that +2 damage, extra attack, action surge, and second wind. really can’t go wrong with that. gunslinger fighter would also be super interesting, if matt allowed sam to replace guns with a crossbow, or if veth started using her gun more.
yasha
yasha has access to: fighter, rogue
yasha’s unfortunately low stats make her kind of a one trick pony of “hit things hard” especially since she should stay pure barbarian until lvl 15, where she will basically be unkillable. (plus at lvl 20 barbarians get a sweet ass boost to str and con.) but luckily, all three of these classes work really well together.
fighter: great weapon fighting so she can reroll those 1′s or 2′s, second wind so she can heal herself (that, if she already used up healing hands, pairs up great with rage beyond death and persistent rage. yasha would like, never ever die, never even get knocked out.) action surge for four attacks. martial archetype, go for either champion for that crit on 19, or battle master for those cool features.
rogue: barbarian/rogue has a ton of potential. she’d have to occasionally switch out her greatswords for some finesse such as shortswords and try out two handed fighting, but because she’s almost always fighting next to beau, she’ll get that sneak attack (tho also, wouldn’t going reckless automatically give her sneak attack too?) plus, finesse lets her use the str stat, so she should still be able to apply the rage bonus. there’s a ton of damage possibility here, along with the always good bonus of expertise for a skills buff (never roll a horrible stealth roll again, ashley johnson) and cunning action so she doesn’t have to choose between attacking or dashing/disengaging. plus, if she wants to sacrifice persistent rage, she could get uncanny dodge, allowing her to tank even more. she definitely should NOT do this, but she could also sacrifice rage beyond death to get evasion, letting her handle dex save spells better. like beau i’m gonna say scout for skirmisher or swashbuckler for fancy footwork.
really is a shame her wis is so low, cuz man i’d love to see her try out monk.
just for fun, i’ll do molly too. i only have his lvl 5 stats to go on, but i’m going to assume that by lvl 13, he would’ve focused on raising his already good dex or getting better con (or perhaps take some more feats, like veth) and any other stat under 13 at the time probably would’ve stayed that way.
molly has access to: fighter, rogue, cleric, druid, ranger
cleric (moonweaver) would’ve been really interesting, but i don’t quite have a handle on molly’s character to know if this is something that would’ve fit him. (and there’re a ton of cleric domains, i don’t kno the ins and outs of them all.) he also didn’t seem all that interested in getting some range. so i’m gonna say the best fit for molly going based on his build and fighting style is rogue
molly already used finesse weapons, so getting up in there for some sneak attack would be an easy fit. molly had access to two attacks, so being able to dash on a bonus action to get up to any just-out-of-reach target so he wouldn’t have to waste that action would be very useful. along with being able to attack twice and then disengage. archetype, probably assassin.
i’ll also be basic and say any character who has access to extra attack(s) can’t hurt dipping into fighter just for that sweet sweet action surge. (i currently play a fighter, so i’m a little biased.)
beau, fjord, and veth could also take blood hunter if they wanted. (caleb is one point shy in dex, and jester and yasha in intelligence, but they could too in theory by the grace of the dm.) i don’t know enough about the blood hunter class to know if this is something that would fit them, but considering where the plot is going, it could make for an interesting story beat.

1, 7, 9, and 69 for the d&d character ask! Dealer's choice on which character
hey anon,
thanks again for asking this
i think... i will do Both characters that i’ve actively played a bunch. bc... i want to.
under a read more bc this will probably get Rather Long (update: it did.)
1. why did they choose their class(es)? their subclass(es)?
- for Llyr, my half-elf paladin, she was kind of, ah, chosen? i guess? the way she thinks it happened was that she did something heroic and her goddess came to her in a dream, and the next day she woke up with a holy symbol tattoooed on her body. she was a kid, then, but eventually did take an oath. she’s oath of the ancients, because the tenets of sheltering and kindling light means a lot to her. fuck off, darkness, basically. she’s multiclassed into warlock, mainly because she caught the attention of an archfey. her ex was wreaking some havoc with some water stuff, and the archfey had a vested interest in not letting that happen, so Llyr was again....,,., chosen. in a sense. kind of.
- for Art (full name #ART920304690201), he was created to be an artificer. a warforged, created to fix other warforged soldiers. he became a battlesmith because he wanted to make a friend. and also be better with weapons, because he loves weapons. his steel defender is a baby elephant named Patches. he multiclassed into a twilight cleric, because he and his party were all cursed by Shar. in his research, he discovered she had a twin sister named Selune, so he prayed to her for help, and dipped into cleric. it was something i had kinda meant to happen, since his arc was how he came to terms with his own soul. can’t be a cleric without a soul, right?
7. which party member do they understand the least?
- oh, man. for Llyr, i’m tempted to say Erimenthea, Minty for short, our halfling wild magic sorcerer. but they actually have a lot in common because of they both have connections to the FeyWild, and Llyr kind of thinks she understands Minty quite well, lmao. it’s honestly probably Ja’el, our half-elf shadow monk/death cleric. they’re really good friends, but they do tend to clash sometimes because of how different their lives and experiences in the world have been. they’re both half-elves, but the way they tend to look at things is... extremely different. like, they’re bros, though.
- for Art, he probably truly understands Wu Guei, tortle wild magic barbarian, the least. not because they don’t get along, but Wu is less forthcoming about things, and Art is not very good at social interactions. in fact, Wu intimidates him immensely. so yeah, probably Wu Guei.
9. do they care about their appearance? how much effort do they put into presentation?
- i wouldn’t say Llyr cares about her appearance. she just... happens to be extremely hot. sorry, i don’t make the rules. bitch has 20 strength and 18 charisma, so yeah, unapologetic jacked queen. the 18 charisma is just how hot she is. she actually can be kind of awkward when she speaks, but she’s so hot it doesn’t matter.
- Arty boy is a rusty-lookin’ fella. he doesn’t care about his appearance very much, and it shows because he didn’t really do much upkeep. several decades of wandering a desert will mess a guy up, physically.
69. how would they describe their party members?
- ooooh, boy. i mean, i already talked about Minty and Ja’el. Llyr would call Minty chaotic, but fun. super smart, super crazy magic user. she loves animals, and is always the friendliest, even to her detriment. Ja’el would be, well, her homie. he’s paranoid, but means well. despite his best efforts, he cares so much. kickass fighter; really fast, really sneaky. Eldon, halfling lore bard, she would call hilarious. she finds him really funny, but she would also call him talented and creative, even though he’s young and it shows. Maz, shifter beastmaster ranger/grave cleric, she’s probably closest with currently. mom friend, definitely, but also like a little sister. really wise and dependable, but frustrating, because of how similar she is to Llyr in a lot of ways. like holding up a mirror you don’t think you wanna look at lmao
- and lol i already talked about Wu Guei. like i said, Art finds them intimidating, but admires their strength and convictions. Art feels safer with them around. Luc, high elf bladesinger wizard, Art can relate to because they have a lot of the same interests. he would say Luc’s really resilient, with all he’s lived through and seen. smart, too. Py, drow/wood elf swashbuckler rogue, also really funny. the sneakiest, best darts player ever. also would not want to face him in hide and seek. Py’s got a big heart, and the longest arms. Aurora, drow light cleric, has probably the strongest personality. she’s extremely friendly, and is always there to listen, even when she has no idea what you’re talking about.

A Prompt For Everybody
So, dipped into my old drafts and found this dusty scroll. I think I meant to do more with it but I can’t quite remember anymore, especially since I’ve been burnt out on Critical Role. But hey, maybe you guys can do something with this, plus it was fun to see my old DnD characters again.
How would your characters interact with the M9 and/or VM?
It can go however you want, you can have your characters hop ship from one campaign to the next with no change, or talk about how they’d fit in Matt’s world. Drop twenty characters, or there might be one you’re more interested in. Do both groups, or only talk about one for whatever reason you have. It’s free game.
I’ll start...
So unfortunately I have exactly three episodes of M9, so everything I know about them has come from posts. So I’m just gonna skip them.
But I do know Vox Machina! Well, it’s been a while actually, but anyway!
Cora Songbird: A halfling bard (lore college) from the Curse of Straud campaign, with a bit of greed and a dash of heroism. Is just as flirtatious as Scanlan and makes perverted comments, but has no interest in going further than that. Probably ends up having some information that Vox Machina needs, either about where a desired treasure is or how to defeat a certain enemy. Or they crossed paths going after the same enemy.
Either way, she almost gets along with them. Almost. Her and Scanlan are like two peas in a pod. She’s got a bit of greed in her, leading to some interesting negotiations about treasure with Vex. Has mixed feelings on Trinket, but the general consensus is that bear breath is terrible and can only be endured for five minutes at a time. If she talks about her family, Vax takes in interest in why a mother would be off in another plane. Cora and Pike could end up having  conversations about ‘redemption’ and ‘how far is too far’, while Cora internally mourns the fact that their cleric disappeared never to be seen again leaving them without support. Grog and her are just impressed with each other, but don’t see much in the other. Cora feels bad for Keyleth’s awkwardness and tries to ease up on her teasing/suggestive remarks around her, though they clash on some morals. The Twins and Keyleth remind her of old friends, some lost, and she has plenty stories to share about the strange happenings in Barovia.
Then there’s fucking Percy, and his issue with people having guns that aren’t him or Whitestone. Cora has a musket. A powerful one depending on her timeline. If VM agrees with Percy to take her weapon, it is going to cause problems and Cora will either run or attack (probably run if she’s alone). If they come to an unsteady truce, then her and Percy are constantly dipping between business friends and rivals. Well, rival in the “whose gun is the best.” Percy probably feels extra smug that Cora didn’t make her weapon, but Cora bites back that at least her inventor can make things other than guns (or that his is better made than Percival’s).
Just, every conversation, every moment between them is tense.
Percy: My family was killed by a vampire and his wife. They tortured me, brainwashed my sister and kept an undead iron grip on my town
Cora:.....I slept with the head vampire that was ruling his country with an Iron Fist -
Percy: Of course you did
At some point Cora dies, but then comes back through a portal at the exact same spot she was killed. Vox Machina is screaming, horrified, and/or awed. Percy is furious that he still didn’t get the gun. Cora is aggravated that another “cat life” was wasted. (Cora: Well at least I didn’t lose it from falling off a bridge this time. VM: *uncomprehending noises*)
Myrrah: with the ‘y’ pronounced like an ‘e’, Myrrah is the charlatan rogue Tabaxi, and is way too young in VM’s mind to be out on her own. Either ends up hunting down the same treasure, or tries to sell them one of her “potions” and has to pay them back when Grog spends far too much on lemon flavored strength “potions.”
Loves Vex and Vax. Likes that they’re both sneaky like her and utterly adores Trinket. Constantly shows off the treasure she finds to Vex, and is willing to split her share. Vax is having some major Kynan flashbacks and makes sure to be extra nice, definitely pulls pranks with her. Also likes Scanlan, but more because his way with words and shortness reminds her of her father figure but that’s as far as it goes. Grog is large and intimidating at first, but she quickly warms up to him when she figures out that he makes a great meat shield. He’s also pretty funny and actually fairly nice, and she’s more than eager to help him and Vax prank each other without being caught.
Pike intimidates her, since Myrrah has mixed feelings towards the Gods, but eventually finds that she’s pretty sweet though has a few lines. Keyleth has way too many lines in the sand for Myrrah and the two don’t get along well. Myrrah has little morality, and Keyleth has too much for her liking.
Keyleth: you shouldn’t steal from anybody.
Myrrah: sorry, I can’t read.
Keyleth: we’re talking right now!
They don’t hate each other, but their both quietly judging the other from afar and can’t quite find even ground. Still, Myrrah has to relent that Keyleth can at least kick ass, so she has that going for her.
Hates Percy. Hates nobility in general, and even if Percy isn’t the one running Whitestone, he’s still reaping the rewards. Has no sympathy for him in the slightest. Thinks Vex can do better. Probably runs her mouth about it and then gets chewed out, and apologizes later more to make amends rather than sincerity. Definitely plays pranks on him, though makes sure that they’re harmless to not anger the others. Definitely steals from him though.
VM most definitely still tries to adopt her and get her to at least stay in Whitestone or to find family to be with (possibly unlocking tragic backstory), but she eventually goes her own way.
Varric Blackhammer: A dwarven divination wizard who foresaw VM coming to him for help or in pursuit of something he was after. Hungry for any and all knowledge, so fairly easy to bargain with. Percy could legit just drop the history of Whitestone on him and Varric would be satisfied to help them with whatever task. Though operates on a “the information has to be as great as the cause.” Is not friendly, and can be very judgemental towards the group.
Actually likes Percy and is fascinated with how his mind works. Probably should not be alone with him because Varric will encourage Percy’s more murderous thoughts. Doesn’t care for Scanlan but tolerates him, is unsure if he’s a genuinely good spell caster or just bloody lucky. Grog is the meat shield and its best never to talk to him for long periods of time. Keyleth is annoying with her concern for others, but he recognizes her power and takes an honest interest in her magical abilities. Vax and Vex he watches like a hawk, the former because Vax is able to practically turn into shadows; the latter because she see’s too much. Is wary around Pike because of her “good” nature and God, but they end up having some good conversations about worship since Varric is also religious (though I can’t remember what god I picked).
Can and will lie about seeing the future just to stress out his least favorite members
Grog: being Grog
Varric: You’re going to die in seven days
Varric eventually debates turning on Vox Machina, but it’s really dependent on the situations. He’s not going to just do it at the drop of a dime. He needs to know that they won’t be able to come after him, and that he’s strong enough to handle them in a fight. Probably decides that it’s not a good idea. Can actually be tempted to do good deeds, so long as he gets something out of it.

My D&D Characters
Here are relatively short summaries of all my characters from the campaigns I’m in! It’s worth noting that all these take place in different worlds with different lore.
This got long, of course, so it’s under the cut! :’D If anyone wants to come to my inbox and ask me questions about any of these guys, I’d be totally thrilled!!
Nimue (half-elf thief rogue) Nim, for short. She has a last name but she (and the other members of the party) doesn’t know it yet. She’s quiet and contemplative, as well as a bit fragile (it’s a joke that Nim has to almost die every single battle now, like. PLS), but she can do terrifying amounts of damage with her enchanted shortswords.
In the world of this campaign, humanity consists of nomadic tribes wandering the plains/tundra, and they are almost completely isolated from all other races. Being a half-elf... Nim is an anomaly.
Her human mother left her clan for about a year, returning with the infant that was Nim. She was only able to raise her daughter until she was about five years old before she died of illness, leaving Nim to a clan that wanted nothing to do with her. While no one actively tried to harm her, no one offered to help take care of the child either. After years of living off the scraps of the other clan members, Nim ran away and turned to a life of thievery, traveling from tribe to tribe and stealing what she needed to survive. She became an adventurer on accident after a chance encounter with a human ranger named Baxter. The rest of the adventuring party consists of Reave, a warforged fighter; Vasanti, a naga barbarian; Borin, a dwarf drunken master; Feebris, a star elf bard; and Pastor Dave, a human cleric of Kord. (This is essentially our murder hobo campaign lmao)
Cosette DuPont (human archfey warlock) The sixth and youngest child of the fabulously wealthy DuPont family. Although Cosette is considered the most beautiful of all her siblings, her interests are not centered around finding a suitable spouse; she has a passion for scholarly pursuits and adventure. Having the finest tutors and the support of her older brother Remy, Cosette was able to study anything she liked to her heart’s content. She is the personification of “bubbly” -- she’s extremely cheerful, for the most part, and while she’s highly intelligent when it comes to book-smarts, she’s quite naive and a bit too trusting for her own good.
When she was about 16, Cosette received an ancient book as a present from her parents. Upon studying it, she discovered the instructions for a fey ritual within it that granted her verbal (not visual) contact with a mysterious faery. After talking to the faery for a few months, it offered her great power and, more importantly, knowledge, upon signing a contract. Cosette, believing she was friends with the faery and that it chose her because it liked her, excitedly agreed. She gained the powers of a warlock with the Pact of the Tome, though she does not know that “warlock” is the term.
Remy was the first one she told about her powers. He advised her to not tell their parents, concerned they would not approve, but also helped to convince their parents to send Cosette on an adventure to travel the land with a special (magical) tutor. With this tutor, she learned to use her powers more effectively. Towards the end of their journey, Cosette was separated from her tutor in a foreign town and some con men took advantage of her sweet nature, framing her for a crime she didn’t commit. She was thrown in jail, and breaking out started her true adventuring. Her party consists of Artemis, a tiefling (possibly succubus) bard; Delphine, a human paladin of Trithereon; Osmin, a gnome wizard; Orilo, a goliath barbarian (and companion to Osmin); and Solari, a druid that we don’t actually know the race of yet. Solari pretended to be Remy’s cat for 5 years. Cosette is still dealing with that. Another member who recently dipped out was Quinn, a human gunslinger.
Lirena (Lyrie) Aldavir (half-elf swashbuckler rogue) In this particular world, there are five female goddesses that compose the main pantheon. Two of these goddesses are Fiela and Lirena, who are twins, and are two sides of a coin: Fiela is the goddess of justice and righteousness, while Lirena is the goddess of evil and the underworld. Because of this, twins in this land are seen as omens, the nature of which depends on the appearances of the children. Lyrie (pronounced “leary”) and her sister Fie were unfortunate to not only be born as twins, but with Lyrie having dark, nearly black hair and Fie having light, nearly white hair. Their mother, Lady Dylena Aldavir, was horrified, and was determined to not let such a scandal escape the walls of her estate. Blaming her husband for the existence of the darker-haired twin, he was cast out completely. Lyrie was practically tossed into the stables -- not to die, though, as she could be useful once she was grown. The stablemaster, a man named Patrick who was loyal to the former lord, vowed to take care of the baby. The other twin was accepted by Dylena because of her resemblance to Fiela. Obviously, the twins were named after which goddess they resembled.
Patrick’s wife, Ofell, became Fie’s handmaiden. It quickly became apparent that Dylena was... not the best mother (she’s essentially Mother Gothel from Tangled, not allowing Fie to leave the mansion except on escorted trips and just as manipulative). While Ofell couldn’t do anything directly, she coordinated with Patrick so that Fie and Lyrie were able to see each other regularly and knew they were sisters. Fie was trained to become a cleric of Fiela, the goddess.
Once she was old enough, Lyrie began sneaking out into town, around the docks specifically. Although it was within her power to run away for good, she didn’t, because she wouldn’t leave Fie behind. In town she met a semi-famous pirate named Giselle, who took a liking to Lyrie and began teaching her how to use a rapier and utilize her natural charm to its full potential. Lyrie’s goal is to take Fie away from their abusive mother and live out their lives in peace somewhere far, far away.
Lyrie is usually seen as level-headed and practical, but she is actually highly motivated by her emotions beneath the cool exterior. She’s a bit cynical about the world and most people, and usually sticks to a policy of minding her own business. Once she makes friends, though, she trusts them implicitly.
Around when the twins turned 21, Fie received a vision from her goddess, telling her to venture out on a quest and to take Lyrie with her. Dylena allowed this because Fie’s contact with a goddess gave house Aldavir a good reputation. Lyrie found it unsettling that a goddess would single her out, but she agreed to go because 1) Fie is very sheltered and would certainly need protecting out in the real world and 2) it was a chance to enact her plan to escape.
Soon it became clear that Lyrie wasn’t going to be able to get away with running away: the apocalypse is on the horizon, and if that’s not taken care of first, Lyrie won’t be alive to live out her dream. The other members of the party are Cassian, an eldritch knight who is also the queen’s right-hand guard; Odahviig, a dragonborn monk (who really loves cheese); and Finnan, a halfling bard who also happens to have been recently turned into a revenant.
Cyril (high elf life cleric)
Cyril has a last name, but he’s purposefully keeping it a secret. He’s extremely compassionate and his mission is to help anyone and everyone who isn’t evil, mainly by way of his healing powers. He has a bit of a murky past -- he comes from a background of wealth, but that’s all people can really gather about him; he has made a point of abandoning whatever that life was in favor of traveling the world and spreading kindness, promoting peace, and providing aid. Cyril is atoning for something, but outside of his homeland, only he knows exactly what for. (I gotta keep it a secret from the other party members, some of who are here on Tumblr, so I can’t elaborate too much!)
We haven’t done too many sessions for this campaign, but so far we’ve been trapped in a super duper creepy labyrinth and are trying to find our way out. The other members of Cyril’s party are Borgak, a half-orc barbarian mercenary; Priscilla, a doll-like warforged bard; and Stannis, a human artificer (who helped create Priscilla and therefore claims she’s his daughter and is extremely protective of her).
