I got a new cat!!!! She's 8mo old & a cute tabby tiger. She has an adorable little meow & adorable little paws. My resident cat is Not Happy, but she is very adaptable and I'm sure she'll come around with time.

The baby cat has a sister at the rescue and I'm 95% sure I'm going back to adopt her.

The newbie is Everly; Erika is her sister. (Names will change eventually)

#keese draws #rain world #rain world survivor #rain world monk #just impulsive slug cat practice mostly but I also have been wanting to draw them #I wanna try my hand at making fun designs for some of the others so I needed to get my baseline first #I wanna go for more rodent vibes than cat but not too much so #I also wanna draw some of my other slugcat biology hcs but no promises I’ve been going thru it lately #oh yeah and I do imagine most slugcats as completely hairless so no fluffy arti sorry y’all #she does get the closest to having actual teeth of all of them tho so that’s a win for her #well ok all slugcats kind of have teeth but they’re more like small spines that line the front of their mouths #they don’t chew on food tho the teeth are for tearing bits of food off of things #carnivorous slugcats have bigger spines that more so resemble teeth but only in the sense that they’re much larger and easier to see #they also very much hurt more although usefulness in combat is often limited #as getting a good enough grip on a moving target ain’t easy #in fact these big ol teeth are more meant to be used for trapping prey while they like beat them to death or smth #but with larger prey becoming most carnivorous scugs main food source they don’t get used that way as often anymore #in my minds eye way way back slugcats used to be egg predators but as more and more dangerous predators started being common they adapted #a much more omnivorous diet with most of their protein coming from bugs #and hey now they eat bug eggs full circle Babey

everyone who said this is bad is a coward. this FUCKED. like do i ever want to see it again?? doubtful. but it was still really good!!!

honestly this might be the scariest nmt ep. there's a lot of nmt eps where even tho i really like them they do make me sort of sit back and go like that wasn't actually scary though? but THIS?? hell yeah babey finally some good fucking horror

I watched the The Rookie Season 6 premiere!!

I started it last night and finished it this morning and just OAUGH it was so good :D

I expected them to not figure it out for a while but I low-key love the way they did it. Because it shows that they (the characters) aren't dumb and gives some action but still keeps a huge mystery to it. Theory wise, I keep thinking of the Dream (nightmare) Team (Elijah and Oscar) but it's been like a half season so I don't think it's time to bring them back yet. Idk tho, we'll see what happens!

Also Lucy is going through it xD like genuinely she is and :(( but everyone (even Wesley xD) knowing about the clown thing was just HILARIOUS lol

Also after Tim said "maybe she just had a fight with her girlfriend" I was like "oh cool we're casually using a gay example- he's talking about him" soo as I said at the time, diversity win! The random person you're projecting your problems onto is a lesbian through you <3.

Anyway xD lowkey, I get both their sides, but I'm lowkey on Tim's lol. I do get being stressed out and just wanting support though, totally, I just think Lucy's going to realize she needs to talk it out with him

Also I'm glad for their development! I'm also kind of glad Tim's not the "instigator" (there's not really one but yk) of the fight since he's been the "mean one" a lot lol. Anyway I hope my babeys work it out (soon - I figure they will eventually) :((

Also poor Harper :(( I know she'll get through it but it just sucks. And it sucks that she can't talk to James about it (like not legally but emotionally lol), though I do like that they have differing opinions on stuff. It's nice to have couples that don't have all the same views, you know?

Anyway!! I didn't mention them but Celina and Gray are slaying as always <3. And for Celina (and everyone)'s sake I hope we catch this guys soon (but not too soon ;) - I love me some drama)

Also reminder that I love Wesley with my whole soul, thank you <3.

So excited for this season!! Especially the 100th episode, it's so great that they get one :D. I think both of those are gonna be really good and I'm just so looking forward to it :D!! This was an amazing episode, lots of good stuff all around, and I'm so excited for the next one :D. The promo looks wild (also AAAHHHHHH THE WEDDING!!! :DD) but so good and I'm looking forward to it :D 🥰.

ANON I AM SO GLAD U SAID THIS!!! i was literally talkin to a couple peeps bout this a week ago and i know i’m not the first to have this hc cos i’ve seen it bouncing around the fandom but BUT

stevie babey most definitely has a dog :) it’s definitely one of this big people dogs like a golden lab or a retriever that are just big softies (what’s that saying bout dogs lookin like their owners?? hehe)

he ends up keeping the name the pet-store gave her, smth real classic like daisy or maggie — he got her when he first moved out of home, as like a celebratory gift to himself :) and alright, he really really wanted one when he was younger but his mom said they were far too messy to have in the house. but now it’s his space and his mess — and all of maggie’s dog hair too hehe

they 100% go on runs together :) like half the time he doesn’t even leash her, she always wants to keep up and stay by his side, tongue out and panting in a way that always makes him laugh— especially when she gets distracted by a squirrel and steve has to coerce her back to him. it’s always that lil whistle, call of her name, and a slap on his knees to get her to come- though, sometimes he’ll just call her name and boost it ahead because she hates being left behind :( steve learned from the first time tho, if he does that he’s gotta do a funny backwards run otherwise she WILL tackle him from behind like she did the first he tried that shit

they are like best friends tho, like properly bonded and all :’) she sits beside him on the couch and he’ll look at her when there’s something funny on tv, just so she can give that funny dog side-eye she does 👀he talks to her way too much, just because before steve had you, she was always around- trotting around after him in the kitchen, looking for snacks that he always gives up way too easily. he asks her opinion on things when she’s curled up on his bed, her head on her paws, switching shirts in front of himself and taking her big sighs as no’s like, “hmm you’re right magster, the blue is better,”

when you come into the picture, she straight up abandons her loyalty to steve because she just loves all the cuddles, esp form you, and steve is betrayed. u catch him talking to her in the kitchen, his hands holding her head softly as he speaks like, “listen she’s MY girlfriend, okay? u can’t keep giving her all the cuddles and none to me. and i know this sounds crazy, but sometimes i’ll want to cuddle with her, and not you. you get all that? ok good chat :)” and then she licks his nose, which makes him laugh, bcos that’s as good as a yes in his book

capture roidmudes instead of blowing them up!!!! cop toku is always gonna have dodgy implications but drive was just so egregious about it to me. i remember sanjo saying that after gaim was more serialized, he would ensure that every episode of drive would have a cool fight where a monster was defeated. cool if you're doing a show about some interdimensional tyrant that eats universes or whatever, less cool if you're doing a show where your cop protagonist kills every robot he fights without a second thought until the end where the audience is maybe kinda supposed to feel bad for them actually? "isn't it sad that the roidmudes couldn't escape this unavoidable fate?" it was very avoidable! extremely avoidable! tony you CHOSE

develop gou and chase's friendship more organically. there's some good stuff there in theory but there needed to be way more "damn it, im kinda warming up to this guy >:(" as opposed to the constant one-sided antagonism that went on for far too long. as is, i just couldn't buy into chase's death scene or gou's big cathartic fight with banno at all, though i totally get why it's such a highlight for others. really enjoyed mach's v-cin tho

in a world where sexism doesn't exist there is no reason on earth kiriko should not be the main character of this show. everything that makes shinnosuke unique as a protagonist also applies to her, doubly so in that instead of having some random dead cop for a dad, her father is the big bad! imagine kiriko, gou, heart, and medic all fighting together to stop the abusive father who raised them? could be pretty poetic and tie a lot of things together. oh well, here's a half-hearted kuuga callback in a parking lot instead

in the world we actually live in where the powers that be at toei and bandai could've easily allowed this, couldn't kiriko at least have become proto-drive in the back half of the show? even pulling a kiva and having it just be for one episode would've been appreciated. could've been a perfect way to cap off her arc, having her overcome her trauma from the global freeze by literally becoming the hero that saved her to protect others. instead, everyone lies to her about everything involving banno to spare her feelings because she's literally a fragile 24 year old minor

just let kiriko do ANYTHING AFTER GOU'S DEBUT MAKES HER BASICALLY IRRELEVANT FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON, ACTUALLY?? PLEASE?????? IM BEGGING YOU

But yes I do have some answers for these!

1. Mikey is feral mostly bc he's very spoiled and he grew up In an environment that encouraged behavior like that! He is the 'Mama's boy' (in the AU, Splinter and Big Mama are canonically married, Splints still lives in the NY sewers, BM still in hidden city and her hotel), and BM definitely encourages his bad behavior. No one really tells him no, and he's an attention hog. He likes getting reactions so doing outlandish stuff and saying cruel things gets him that reaction! He's also an adrenaline junky and a pyromaniac, he'll put himself/others into danger for fun! Plus, BM DOES treat him like a pet, what do you expect. Boy is flea ridden/hj

2. Raph is very quiet and stoic! He still hates being alone, but he also definitely Dislikes being bothered, teased, or pranked. While the most outwardly 'chill', he's very quick to violence. He is the reason Leo has those bite/teeth marks on his shell! Raph bit him <3. His comfort item is Mrs. Cuddles and he always has her with him, which definitely makes it a target for Mikey shenanigans and such! He does still love hugs and snuggles tho, and likes bows, sewing, and cartoons! He doesn't talk much, and he especially won't if his brothers aren't around. He doesn't care much about anything, he's just along for the ride! The brothers often try to, like, 'sic' Raph on eachother by blaming things or just asking REALLLYYYYY nicely (also yes, Don is definitely a mad scientist. Please get him some lab safety etiquette at least some lab goggles)

3. LEOSAGI <3333333 ACTUALLY JUST MY COMFORT CHARACTERS I SWEAR. I have a writer friend who enjoys making small snippets of this AU, and I may ask her if I can post them here or if she would like to post them on A03? So yall can get even more content of the Boyz <3 (NewFallenLeaves on A03! Check out her ROTTMNT stuff, it's wonderful)

4. APRIL AND MAYHEM YES!!!!!! They are both definitely some of my favorite designs of this AU, April is just so beautiful and Mayhem is such a little Creatur. Babey demon demigorgon. Evil beast/pos (fun fact! Mayhems face can split apart in 4 different ways, one way looking like a demigorgon! I'll probably post that sketch sometime soon!)

5. Splinter is great! As Lou Jitsu, he was a film star who behind the scenes was involved in a lot of crime, especially back in Japan with things like the Yakuza. As a rat, he is VERY MUCH based on Gomez Addams. He's fun loving, caring, and loves a good spar session. He may be a bit neglectful of his boys (same as in canon) but he loves and accepts their weird and wacky behavior all the same.

This is his design! Some bits may change but as it stands I am happy w/ it! :D

He owns a decent of pieces of the Shredder Armour as, like, almost trophies? It also helps mean that the Foot will not build the Shredder fully, Aka none of that mess to deal with :]

As for Cassandra, she's not really in the AU at all! I just haven't really been able to think of much for her. As an antagonist, I didn't know whether to lean towards more Addams esque behavior or make her more 'normal' (as normal as she can be JSBSJEB) to have a type of parallel. Idk? Any suggestions and ideas for her would be welcome and I'd tag you if I ended up using/posting any of it!

As for extra content, tomorrow or in the next following days I will either post more random sketches, more Usagi lore (specifically his family) or maybe some finished refs? Whatever I feel like, so look for that >:]

Iiiii did it againnnn (made a new character) (she’s cool as hell tho so it’s fine right)

She’s a half-elf drow (who was a necromancer), and *was* pretty fuckin good at it. So good, that when she died. She refused to do so. She was like “ermm stfu myrkul i aint listenin to you now i’ve been fuckin w/ u my whole life i will not stop at death.” Kinda funny, local sorcerer refuses to fucking die. So now she’s possessing her own corpse. Out of sheer will.

Now, you may ask "trag, why is she Ivl 1 if she was a good enough necromancer to literally refuse death?' GOOD QUESTION.

The answer is: one: she got tadpoled ): we all know being tadpoled fucks shit up, as seen in the case of Gale and Wyll and basically everyone

Two: basically her body is fuelling her spirit and her spirit is fuelling her body in a fucked up mutualistic relationship. Her body relies on her magical energy to yk, not decay on the spot (tho it is slowly decaying, adding to the urgency of getting a cure for the tadpole and getting her magic back to its og level). And her spirit needs a vessel.

Plus, the connection b/n body and soul is a bit fucked so her soul is basically a bunch of raw magic inhabiting a human container. Ain’t that great (:

Her name currently is Ceridwen, after the Celtic deity of rebirth, but also considering naming her Athenios which is a feminine variation of Adonis. Idk tell me which u like more (if u want). SO HERE’S WHAT SHE LOOKS LIKE BABEY‼️ (Image and more under the cut)

Yeah obviously she’s kinda pale (for a half-drow) and the face paint is to distract from the bad circulation (which she still has circulation and stuff but biological processes are slow). She’s missing an eye (which would look red but there’s no option for that so idk maybe she has a tiny scrying eye replacement that’d b cool as hell). Her other eye is a dark blue and her hair is reddish brown bc google says that shit happens after death. Also! Her pupil is supposed to be white. But again, no option for that. Anyway, I love her, tell me what u think (:
