AITA for not participating in a play?

I am not really sure if I'm right and I don't know who to ask.
I (F18) was informally adopted by my uncle's family, though he is away right now. All of my cousins want to put on a play while he is gone, which I find disrespectful. I didn't say anything against it to anyone, but when they asked me to participate I just couldn't. I'm worried my uncle will be angry and also I'm terrified of acting. I have really bad stagefright, even with just my family (though there are some friends of my cousins here too).
When I said I didn't want to, my aunt said I was being ungrateful for everything that the family has done for me. I went upstairs to my room and saw all the things people have bought me since I've lived here and now I'm thinking I should have said yes. After all, I owe them all so much. Infinity obliged. If they hadn't decided to bring me up I wouldn't have all the advantages that I've been given. I really should be more grateful.
My one cousin said I could decide for myself, but the others say I'm ruining everything. AITA for not wanting to be in the play?
Edit: My parents are alive, they just have a lot of kids so my uncle took me in at 10.

NTA It's your choice if you want to be in the play or not, you aren't their slave.
If your uncle took responsibility for raising you, then he is obligated to buy you things. No one can ask for compensation from a child for being alive. You didn't chose to be born and I doubt you chose to go to your uncle's house.
The fact that you feel guilty for saying no is worrying honestly. Your fear of being ungrateful sounds like brainwashing.

No amount of gratitude or family responsibility should make you act against your principles. If you need someone to deliver a scathing rebuke or flat refusal, I'm your girl. I have way more experience than I should.
