I'm posting this whole rant here because the Honkai fandom is braindead, and from what I've seen, I'm more likely to have people agreeing with me on here than on twt.
I don't think my argument is perfect or anything, but it's late, and god does that tweet infuriate me. Why does no one have any literacy comprehension around here.

Here's an interesting FuKi detail regarding names.
In the JP dub, Kiana always addresses Fu Hua respectfully as "委員長" (iinchou), "班長" (bānzhǎng) in the CN dub. Means "class president/prefect".
I've only gotten as far as the Xuanyuan arc after getting through the main storyline, so I can only remember Kiana addressing Fu Hua by her name instead of "class president" while she was going through Senti's memories on her way to becoming Finality, and that was just to emphasize Senti's life and existence being separate from the person named Fu Hua whose identity Senti borrowed for a while.
Tumblr media
But in the Xuanyuan arc spec. in the above picture, while praising Fu Hua, Kiana distinctly uses the usual "class president" title, before backpedaling and actually addressing her directly by her name FU HUA instead of "class president".
WITHOUT HONORIFICS!

𝐗𝐈𝐗. The road to enlightenment and awakening —Irminsul—. Union of consciousnes and divine.
One of the many legacies left behind by the Greater Lord Rhukkadevata (whose consciousness was connected directly to Irminsul) is the possibility to attain a harmony of consciousness with Irminsul and thus receive knowledge from the sacred tree independent of any external stimuli (like the Akasha terminal). This possibility isn’t without tremendous hardship that can drive one to madness and insanity. There are few in number who can attune with Irminsul in the first place, but even there are even fewer in number that managed to not lose their mind.
All knowledge requires the proper preparations and abilities to become receptor of this without having one’s mind cave in. Some researchers spend their entire lives without ever successfully connecting with Irminsul and there is no guarantee that one’s consciousness will remain unscathed in every attempt at attuning with the All-Knowing.
For this attunement, one must undergo a preliminary stage before entering the phase in which one is considered to have attained this harmony of consciousness: Satyavada Life and Paripurna Life.
→ Satyavada Life: It’s a doctrine also known as the Consciousness doctrine of the Two Truths within the Mahayana —the enlightened beings’ (with compassionate minds) path to attain full awakening for the benefit of all sentient beings—. Those who manage to enter this stage are considered geniuses. In order to do reach this stage of training, one must heighten their senses while keeping their mind calm. The doctrine of the Two Truths says that there exists two levels of truth.
↳ Loka-samvriti-satya: World speech truth, relative truth, truth that keeps the ultimate truth concealed.                  ↳ True conventional / relative truth: “Things” which concretely exist and can be perceived as such by the senses.                  ↳ False conventional / relative truth: False cognitions of “things” which do not exist as they are perceived.
         ↳ Paramarthika satya: Ultimate truth.
Those who do not understand the distinction drawn between these two truths do not understand the most profound truth. Without a foundation in the conventional truth the significance of the ultimate cannot be taught. Without understanding the significance of the ultimate, liberation (Nirvana) is not achieved.
→ Paripurna Life: Completion, perfection, wholeness, fullness. This following phase to the Satyavada Life suggests the utmost understanding of the Two Truths and as a result, a stronger attunement with Irminsul is possible.
Rather than undergoing a training process in order to have his consciousness fully connected to Irminsul, Dáinsleif’s process has been a more natural, organic one. Firstly starting as a child who spent time around this tree that willingly bestowed stories to him through dreams, then as an oracle-priest figure to Khaenri’ah as the Bough Keeper to announce if the gods are bound to descend to their nation or not. This latter phase during his adulthood strengthened his consciousness’ ties to Irminsul, as this information no longer came through dreams but as visions projected in his mind that answer to his will to know punctual truths.
Due to the connection Dáinsleif and Irminsul had since his childhood and given the All-Knowing wish to protect him from the curse and the corruption that touched him considerably, Dáinsleif’s consciousness was integrated to the tree and just as with the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata before him, they became one.
However, even under these circumstances Dáinsleif’s pursuit for knowledge isn’t as easy and direct as the Akasha Terminal makes it look for most of the cases. In order to rest assured that there was no saving Khaenri’ah no matter what he did (by subjecting himself to a Samsara until he came to terms with this truth) or in order to learn about objective events of the past, Dáinsleif is put in a trance so that his consciousness is sent to the events in question. Within these events, while it’s his consciousness what permeates for as long as the event lasts and not his body, he lives them as if he were part of these eras. This in itself poses a great danger, for he runs the risk of consciousness death that, in turn, would lead to the termination of his soul given that the curse doesn’t allow him to pass away. Were this to happen, he would be nothing but an empty vessel, no different than an automaton devoid of feelings, memories and intelligence.
On the other hand, he’s able to learn objective truths without resorting to the aforementioned phenomenon by being bestowed memories through flashes that answer to his questions.

samsara of shattered dreams: past
(aventurine x gn!reader x dr. ratio) just some heads up, this happened before the whole penacony arc in the story. No Beta read 😎😎 (That's all I think lol. Anyways I'll be leaving for a while cuz I'll be busy and shiz 🥲🥲. hope y'all enjoyy✿) Part 1/3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Memories. Like glass, they glisten the beauty reflected by the light giving its vivid colors, and yet they are oh so frail; like the fleeting flow of life, sudden yet steady at the same time.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Looking back, you wouldn't have thought that you would see yourself in this situation; not that you already foresaw your fate in the first place. Still, there's the feeling of regret lingering at the back of your mind; one that is not directed towards you but rather to the things that you've done. If only, if only you had the power to change the course of fate maybe this wouldn't have been necessary, if only one could stop the other's heart breaking perhaps goodbyes weren't needed to be said. But alas, destiny has its own ways and so now you are trapped, here in a samsara of endless possibilities, all from the past up to the future; all that is only but a dream yet to spur along with the branches of life.
You dance, you circle around the twinkling stars swimming along azure waters that reflect the night sky, following the roots of time ever so slowly growing, a future waiting to be born, its memories captured in the garden of recollection. Spin after spin, countless lightcones spawn in the vicinity of your eyes; an attempt to draw you unto them, delving into the memories of both the future and past once more. They all glimmer in your eyes, symbolizing its high importance to those who gaze at it, but truth be told, you didn't want to look at them anymore, not when you know you'll only hurt yourself in the process. Even then, you caress them over your palms ever so gently, cherishing the moments silently; actions do speak louder than words after all.
And now you wonder, will everything be alright? Now that the stars have finally collided, and so shall your encounter with death had arrived.
"Y/n... Y/N..."
"Aventurine-"
"They're... they're gone. They really are not here anymore, huh?" He whispers, tightly holding your cold, desolate body.
Despair was imminent in the thick air that engulfs the room as he desperately tries to hold back himself from tearing on the spot. He'd hate for the two of you to see him cry and be vulnerable; after all, didn't he tell you that he doesn't bet on the losing end?
And yet here he is: lo and behold, the winner of it all, stripping him of his own tears, his own freedom to be frail and weak, all just to keep himself at bay, and yet failing so miserably.
"......."
Only silence was heard across the room, rather, it was the only answer the genius could give him. Though not fitting his character, he believes that even he could not give the response the man wanted; needed even.
"There's no time left to mourn what's already gone, we should make haste." It was the only thing he could reply. He knew he had to give him an answer somehow, else the man's insanity would escalate even further.
".....leave.."
"what?"
"leave me alone, I... I'll follow you after a while, just please let me be," he pleads achingly, as if he is almost breaking into the point of oblivion.
Utter brokenness was the only thing he heard upon Aventurine's response. And that alone already tells him that
You wished it wouldn't have been sooner, that you could stay just a little bit longer. And so you fought, no, you ran, you ran along with them in the dark in hopes of outrunning time but to no avail. In the end, you still had to go, regret trailing alongside your eyes brimming with tears.
"Hey no fair! that's my share Aventurine!"
"Not when you say please~"
"Such prudence... Will you two stop the act already?"
"Ooh so scary, Mr. Alabaster head~" you tease, obviously trying to mock him and his antics.
"Indeed. I wonder, where is that handsome bust of yours? You don't seem to wear it as much anymore~" Aventurine coos, whilst holding the bag of candies on his right hand, with you struggling on the other hand, trying to reach the said bag from him.
He scoffs upon hearing the blonde's remarks, though what he was saying is true. If he were to be honest, he doesn't see the two of you as an idiot, but he wouldn't openly admit it to both of you, not with his pride and ego of course. Sighing, he knocks the blonde's head lightly, making the guy dramatically wince in pain.
"ow, that hurts y'know?" he cries all the while you were there, stifling a laughter trying not to laugh at his obvious acting.
It was just a simple day for the three of you in the IPC and yet at that moment, everything felt light; it felt as if the three of you were simply living in your own world, rightfully so. It felt so comforting, like a dream you wish that will never end. But then...
All those years of endless banter, the fondness of even the simplest of times; both good and bad, and them, the two of which you truly had loved with all of your heart, the stars you thought you would never reach; but you did, ever so effortlessly. To think that fate had allowed for the three of you to meet is a miracle from the aeons themselves. And despite their clashing personalities, the pointless arguments they dare not speak of, the past one does not wish to return to, you made it work somehow, like fixing the broken pieces of a broken glass only to be shattered again, all because of that stupid, cruel thing called fate. But somehow, you found yourself here in the samsara, reborn from the memories that you hold, now with a new purpose; to collect and to preserve new memories once more, in hopes of retaining what's for the future to hold on to when the time comes. And now that you have regained life in a different form, perhaps you could go back to the real world, to raise a bud anew, in that beautifully miserable place. And perhaps you could meet them again, not letting go of any opportunity given to you, to build a new bridge, to finally reconnect the three of you once more, all for a better future.
"May the cosmos guide you to the path of the unknown, my beloved stars. "
to be continued......

To Aventurine
"To my dearest gambler, blessed upon the gaze of Gaiathra. I simply bestow to you my full adoration and longing. The unknown may hold us captive in our own, but we shall be the winners who'll decide the results; and it seems like it in your side, to which I could only pray for its continuous flow. I am truly humbled by your guts and wits, my dear. But despite it all, I could feel the lingering despair each time you gamble your life away. So to you I offer this humble gift; a gift of life and new comings. Never forget, you are Kakavasha, born from the bright yellow star, blessed by abundant luck and fortune. May you walk upon this newly lit path of destiny, along with him and what's left of us. "
To Ratio
"To my favorite scholar, truly a genius amongst geniuses. I could only stare in awe upon all of the achievements you have gotten. I may not be as potent as your vast amounts of knowledge nor do I reach the same standards as you do, but please be reminded that there are things that even the smartest revolutionists simply could not have a grasp of. And even if it seems that one's passing is but a swift gust of wind in your eyes, I could tell: the moment my drifting eyes meet yours, those eyes of yours are telling otherwise. So please, be a little bit nicer to them next time. You may never know; that in the future, he will be in your saving grace, hoping that you'll spare him the sympathy that he truly needs. "

obviously fu hua n otto's partnership is completely transactional on the surface but i really like to think about it in different emotional lights bc it's just so. yeah.
hua is an incredibly straight shooter, in part due to how long she's been alive, n she lives with this constant aching loneliness n the burden of immortality she must shoulder alone. regardless of whether she makes friends in her time in the current era, she knows she will always lose them eventually, doomed to outlive them and continue marching forward. her duty is most important to her, but that doesn't mean her heart is made of stone. although she's been alive for almost 50,000 years, she was only seventeen when she initially stopped aging.
n then u have otto. a flawed, corrupted, flippant mortal who only stumbled upon the means to prolong his life in hopes to eventually use the experience gained to return kallen to the world of the living. every word he speaks has a different, secret motive behind it, every deal he cuts hides an ultimatum. selfish n arrogant, juxtaposed against hua's selfless nature. his active attempts to bury his own feelings (unrelated to how successful they are) prove his dedication to his cause; a cause he would do anything to achieve. a cause he CHOSE.
although they have so many oppositions to each other, there's a lot of similarities, too. a long life that acts as a means to an end. a deep, unbearable loneliness n grief. loss at the hands of the honkai.
i think otto n fu hua's relationship is so interesting bc of how they interact with each other through their respective narratives. hua, the chosen celestial, the immortal heralded to guide humanity into their next phase of existence. vs otto, the false savior, self appointed and with selfish motives, imposing himself upon humanity in order to bring to them what he believes will be their salvation (kallen).
i also think despite hua's maturity n experience, otto can see beyond that. not for any positive reasons; i'm confident that her identity deep down being that of a lonely, vulnerable girl made it all the easier for him to rope her into his scheme. it comes down to his ability to assess the people around him and use them as he sees most beneficial.
but, despite everything behind a business transaction between these two, there was a moment in time in which fu hua trusted otto, in some way, as well as one in which otto respected fu hua.
parts of them are SO similar, but they're fundamentally different at their cores. hua has a duty to humanity, n otto has a duty to one human woman. mind u, he sees all of humanity in her, but that's not the point.
n ironically, everything otto did led to kiana n the others ultimately gaining the power to face finality n shatter the samsara. the intentions vs the outcome; otto saved kallen, but lost his life. hua fulfilled her duty, but lost her friends.
especially, when u think about the fact that, at the time of his defeat n death, kevin was the only known flamechaser still living. despite hua's memories being constantly muddled, the principle of being the only survivor on top of the fact that the very act required to protect the current era as duty dictates ends in MAKING yourself that sole survivor.
this started n ended in very different places n i'm just rambling now but i just really love n appreciate how fu hua reacts n contrasts with SO many different characters in this game. i love her.

Open Up (To Me) ♡ Alhaitham x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
🎧 Song : Open Up - Meg Ruiz
A year following your death, Alhaitham finds a certain someone wandering the grounds of the House of Daena, fingers gracing the spines of each book without a care in the world.
Angst, angst to fluff, major character death, reader dies, gender neutral reader, no pronouns used, memory loss, mentions of samsara, nahida our favorite wing-auntie.
ALHAITHAM was sure everything happened. He knew. He knew he held your lifeless figure in his arms, cradling it as your head lolled around lifelessly. Dried blood stained your clothes a crimson brown and your skin ice cold, the beds of your nails turning a deep purple. He knew it happened.
You were one of the few courageous warriors that had helped out in Liyue when it was under Osial's attack, having been assigned there by the Akademiya for some extended research. You were meant to come back after a week. You were meant to come back to the safety and comfort of his arms. You were never meant to overuse your Cryo vision, the glass encasing it never meant to shatter and lose its icy glow.
Celestia had other plans.
Millelith soldiers from the Land of Commerce had come knocking on his door. Alhaitham excitedly expected it to be you, standing at the entrance of his home, the all-too-familiar grin of yours with the sun shining onto your skin, making you look all the more ethereal. That excitement subsided when he saw the soldiers, handing him an enevelope that seemed to come from the Tianquan of the Qixing. They waited for him to finish reading its contents.
He scanned over the words. Over, and over, and over, and over again. Was this some kind of sick joke? He expected you to come out with an apologetic smile but he was only greeted by the silence of Avidya Forest and the soldiers.
The soldiers led him to where your cold body laid, peacefully resting for eternity. They left him to provide some space out of respect.
Archons. Even when you were engulfed by the pale of death, he still found you beautiful, like he told you each morning you woke up by his side.
Alhaitham wanted to tear his heart out of his chest. He wanted to scratch his neck to rid him of his throat. He wanted to scream, he cursed at whatever deity was listening. An ugly sob followed by a sniffle escaped his lips, salty tears streamed down his face as he buried his head into your cold neck, cradling the shell of whatever was left of you.
He remembered it, all. too. well.
So would the archons care to explain to him how you were there now, eyes scanning the books on the shelves with pieces of literature secured in one of your arms. Perhaps sleep had wanted to have its way with him for the first time in a while? It has not been long since the incident with the Doctor and Lord Kusanali and he knew his sleep schedule hasn't been the best as of late.
But no matter how many times he blinked, no matter how many times he rubbed his eyes as he pinched himself. You were still there, now on your way to sit at one of the vacant desks and chairs.
It was really you. You, whom he had lost not so long ago. You, whose deathly cold body he held so closely that one morning to evening in the city with the uncomfortably heavy solitude and the realization of your death.
The moment you saw him in your peripheral vision, you looked up at the Acting Grand Sage.
"Hello. To what do I owe the pleasure?" You politely said at the stranger.
Time had stopped for the former scribe. 364 days, 7 hours and 15 minutes. Tomorrow was supposed to be the 1st anniversary of your death. How coincedental.
It was your voice that rang through his ears. The same voice that had wished him good luck. The voice that whispered sweet nothings into his ears during intimate moments.
Alhaitham managed to choke out a few words, sounding strained as to not startle you.
"Greetings." He said, stoic as ever as how you met him for the first time one faithful day in this very library. "I do not recall seeing you around, care to tell me your name?"
You chuckled lightly. Little birdies from around the Akademiya had spoke of a certain grey haired man, the Acting Grand Sage. Some spoke of him highly, whilst the contrasting spoke of him with deep disdain.
"My, the Acting Grand Sage asks for my name? Have I ran into trouble?" You replied, gently closing the open book you were previously reading and leaning over, head resting on your shoulder with a polite grin.
"Quite the opposite, if I may. I find you quite intriguing, not many scholars like to have a physics book open."
"Ah, this?"
You gestured him to lean his head forward to your lips before whispering,
"Truth be told, I wasn't really paying attention to the words. It's my first day here, I wished to pass off as a competent one." You softly giggled into his ear.
Exactly what you had done on your first day, except Alhaitham had an icy aura that surrounded him as if he was traced by it. Now he was the one who had approached you.
The Acting Grand Sage was never the one to believe in hypothetical things like fate but it was as if that very same thing had line this up for him.
Out of his peripheral vision, he saw a pair of small feet and strands of white hair running and flowing freely once he turned his focus to the source. He inwardly smiled.
Oh, he had fallen for you once again.
Worry not for the amount of hypothetical days the Samsara keeps him in a loop. Alhaitham worries not for your loss of memory. He'd willingly get stuck in the chains of it for you, for as long as he finds his way back to you and you the same.
You have embedded and carved a place reserved only for you in his soul only the Primordial One could eradicate and erase.

Honkai’s Treatment of Fu Hua
What i’ve been seeing in the last couple of chapters - ever since the ending of Elysium Everlasting - has been bothering me, especially in terms of their treatment of Fu Hua, hence the title.
The thing that bothers me the most relating to that is how no one seems to react to anything anymore. When Mei inherits the will of the Flamechasers and returns from the destruction of the Elysian Realm, which included the descending of the Current Era Herrscher of Corruption, by the way, everyone just kind of… brushes it off. Kiana and Bronya don’t react, Theresa seems not to care, and Durandal just doesn’t give a fuck?
I know there’re “more important things” going on, but really? REALLY? Raiden Mei met the warriors at the forefront of the fight against Honkai of the Previous Era, she met PE-thought process Kevin, who is their current Big Enemy, and no one even asked her about it? Kiana and Bronya went “oh cool you spoke to the most powerful warriors of the PE and the Herrscher of Origin? okay anyways” and moved on!
Which leads me to their treatment of Fu Hua. Because no one, not even Mei, who knows about Fu Hua’s memory purge, thought to tell her about the Flamechasers. Even if she didn’t realise the ER was a thing, she knew the Flamechasers. She had relationships with them, and so she’d want to know. She’d have a bigger reaction. All of that buildup where Mei skirts around telling sim Hua about future her and then nothing comes out of it? Seriously?
And i’m not saying HYV should have done this specifically for a reaction, because that’s not good writing either, but it completely brushes off that part of her history like it never happened. She knows and remembers Kevin, Su and Aponia, so by that logic, she should remember everyone else. So why not let her know?
Even on the Moon Base, if they didn’t want it in the Main Story, Klein is on the base. Do you mean to tell me Fu Hua never even asked or wondered why Mobius’s assistant was there?
The thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that this seems to suggest the fact that Hua doesn't deserve to or get the right to know that some of her closest friends just disappeared from reality for the rest of time. As if they never existed.
This doesn’t just apply to the Flamechasers. No one tells her anything! They don’t tell her Finality is running a time loop, or that MEI had no faith in Project Ember. Not only does it make Hua take even more Ls it reduces her character to a pitiable mess who doesn’t and has never been treated well and has only ever been seen as a utility by everyone but Kiana. She doesn’t get anything! She was told a lie and suffered for thousands of years because of that lie, and now that she has the chance to know the truth, they blindside and lie to her again?
Her memory purge at this point is just a plot device to not have to wrap up any loose ends and to not give her any characterisation at all. Like you could take the entire Shattered Samsara arc out and nothing would change because the only thing that it served to do was teach Kiana Edge of Taixuan.
And on that note, WHERE IS GARUDA FU HUA HYV??? offscreen 3 minute Garuda reveal. Where is Garuda Hua battlesuit huh?
