It's still Sunday somewhere, right?? Okay so I lied when I said I was only going to post one snippet of the Why Are Buck and Eddie So Dirty at Madney's Wedding Fic (this is not the title), but then I didn't get it completed on time so have another! Ngl not writing Buddie has been odd but I am absolutely loving writing Happy Buck and him being soft and squishy. So please enjoy a little bit of Bucktommy/Tuck/Tevan/Kinkley/whatever their name is rn on the way to Madney's wedding

“You - uh - you know my parents are going to be there, right?” Buck says, his voice slicing through the silence in the jeep.  Tommy chuckles, taking his eyes off the road for just a moment as he looks at Buck with a twinkle in his eye.  “Yes, Evan, I figured your parents were going to be at your sister's wedding.” “A-and you're okay with that? Meeting my parents, that is.” Buck twists his fingers together, something he does when he's nervous.  “Of course I am, I wouldn't have agreed to come otherwise.” Tommy glances over at Buck again, and his easy grin disappears as he takes in Buck's tight expression. He reaches over and takes Buck's hand, lacing their fingers together as he rubs his thumb over Buck's knuckles.  “Hey, you okay? What's going on?” Buck sighs and shifts in his seat as he brings his and Tommy's hands up to his mouth, brushing the gentlest of kisses against the back of Tommy's knuckles. Tommy's hand is warm against his lips, and he can very faintly smell the hand soap in his apartment, along with some of Tommy's cologne. It calms him, just the smallest amount.  “Yeah it's just -” Buck huffs, not sure where to even begin on the subject of his parents. Sure, they may have made nice after Buck's brush with death, but there is a big difference, in Buck's mind, between forgiving, and forgetting.  “My parents can be kind of… mean.” “Mean?” Tommy echoes, raising an eyebrow “Yeah, we have a sort of complicated relationship, a-and you know I haven’t told them about, you know, us yet. I’m a little nervous about how they’re going to react. My mother especially can say some pretty unkind things.”

They’re at a red light, so Tommy takes the opportunity to reach out and tap Buck’s chin, gently guiding Buck’s head in his direction. “Hey, look at me, baby. We’ve got this. It’s a wedding, not a war.” Buck laughs derisively, but allows Tommy to press a soft kiss to his cheek nonetheless.  “You have no idea.”

hello friends :) thank you to @priincebutt @suseagull04 @rmd-writes @leaves-of-laurelin @eusuntgratie for the tags! early for me today, what a shocker lmfao

here's a snip from a new actor au i have affectionately named chris nolan!alex and cillian murphy!henry fuck around and find out. i spoke about it first here during the wip game. collaborators to friends to lovers to exes to enemies to grudging partners to friends to lovers:

“And the Oscar goes to…Alex Claremont-Diaz for [movie name]!” Alex can’t hear the applause over the heartbeat absolutely pounding in his ears, drowning out the praise. He gets up from his seat in a trance, his eyes finding the only person at this table who matters in this moment.  Henry is looking at him with adoration overflowing in his bottomless blue eyes—Alex can’t get enough of those fucking eyes. They’re Henry’s moneymaker, that’s for certain. Now, they’re Alex’s everything.  He wordlessly gives Henry a hug, feels strong arms wrap around his shoulder and waist. He presses his cheek into the curve of Henry’s neck, scrunching his eyes shut briefly, knowing the cameras are zoomed in on his every expression. He wishes he could tuck this moment safely away from prying eyes, press it in between the pages of the script that brought them together; he wishes he could keep something for himself in this business, keep something sacred. He wishes he was allowed to want things he can’t have without fear of them slipping away. He wishes and he wants.

Here’s a little something from a phone call between Buck and Bobby on the night of Eddie’s breakdown from when your heart releases, you won’t fall to pieces.

Bobby hums in thought. “Are you with him right now?”

“Yeah. Yeah I didn’t want to leave him alone. Not like this.”

“Eddie needs the kind of help that we can’t provide, but what we can do, what you’re already doing a great job of so far, is be there for him and for Chris.”

“I was so scared, Bobby. I- I thought he- that he’d—.”

“It’s okay, Buck. He’s okay. He’s going to be okay.” Bobby says, his voice soft and soothing and Buck finds that he actually believes him. “Do you need me to come over?”

Buck chokes back a sob of relief. He knew Bobby was the right person to call. Eddie and Chris are a part of his family too. Buck doesn’t have to shoulder this alone. Knows that if he said yes, Bobby would break a few traffic laws to get here. Or get a police escort from Athena.

“No- no I’m alright, just uh- it’s been a long night.” Even though he could use the comfort, he feels like tonight needs to be just him and the Diaz’s. Doesn’t want to bring too many cooks into the kitchen or whatever. “Could you uh- could you come over in the morning though? I need to get Chris to school and I don’t want to leave Eddie alone. Not that I think he’s going to-to do anything I just—.”

“Don’t want him to feel like he’s alone in this. I get it, Buck. Trust me, I get it.”

“Yeah.” Buck supposes Bobby really does get it. He still remembers finding Bobby passed out drunk on his bed, back before he’d opened up his heart to life again, to actually living and being a part of it. Remembers how he and Hen (and Chim later on when Bobby trusted enough to let another person into his world) would take turns sitting with Bobby at his apartment on his bad days or driving him to AA meetings so he knew he wasn’t alone in the battle, they had his back. So yeah, if anyone gets it, it’s Bobby. “Thanks Bobby.”

“Anytime kid.”

what if I wrote an Eighth Bird Kravitz AU but there wasn't a single scene from the Stolen Century that featured into it, and instead it mostly focused on music theory/bardic studies professor Kravitz and arcana/science professor Barry at the same college, accidentally becoming best friends again by bonding over both being academically burnt out nervous wrecks
