I had a very specific whump idea in my head and I was wondering if you ever saw it. Character A is carrying an unconscious Character B and is about to put them down. Character A (or others on hand) cradles Character B's head as they're lowered so it doesn't hit the surface they're being laid on too hard.

Oh my god nonny that trope is SO GOOD!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! It should be used more often!! It's so soft and caring and I die every single time. I definitely have some examples of it.

My immediate thought is this scene in Merlin 2x06 after Arthur takes the potion to slow his heartbeat and breathing so it seems like he's dead. Like, I read this description you wrote and my brain conjured this moment.

Other good moments:

Hawaii Five-0 10x22 Steve cradling Danny's head as he lowers him into his lap.

Graceland 3x08 The whole team has a hand on Mike but Paige puts her hands behind his head as they lower him into the ice bath and i love it.

The A-Team 5x14 Frankie and Murdock protecting his head as they carefully lower Face down to the ground after being shot.

Yeah, you're not wrong there. I love Julie and Andrea as a character, but the show was having trouble juggling the characters they had even last season, before even introducing Andrea and William in s5. Andrea fares better in my eyes though because her past storyline with Lena earlier this season was really good. Wish this show would explore good character dynamics and relationships like that more than the ill-conceived Non Nocere storyline and the mess that is Leviathan.

yeah all around agreed, but i didn’t even say that bc Andrea is underwritten as a character but also bc other than being an unknowing actor in their rift (mainly thru Lena’s machinations), she really hasn’t had shit to do with Kara and Lena’s relationship (or the lack of thereof now). if they used 5x14 to have Andrea and SG (or Andrea and Kara) build more of a bond w Kara learning more about Andrea and Lena’s backstory, then i could see Andrea being a factor in SC’s making up, but as things stand, i dont see her making much of an impact on that storyline specifically.

Decided to spend today catching up on SG (because let’s be real I haven’t watched any of it besides a few scenes since the 100th ep despite spending 75% of my waking time thinking about SG) and turning on 5x14 to be smacked in the face with Carmina Burana while someone shoots a CGI dragon out of the sky is really... something. I was like, did I start the wrong... show...?

30 seconds later Alex just said she feels naked without her gun. Look, I REMEMBER that people talked about this and I was AWARE that it happened but ACTUALLY SEEING IT is like getting kicked in the nuts that I don’t have. Holy fuck. Why did my brain choose THIS show to fixate on.

Halloween 2022 Election Fight

Comtraya and Tek'ma'tek, y'all! I know we said that, come September, we would restart the twice a week showing, and bring back SGA and SGU. However, since our anniversary is coming up again, we decided to implement those changes after that.

Regarding the Anniversary viewing on Sunday 30st of October: Last year we announced that for our Anniversary viewing on Halloween, we will be starting to show two spoopy episode, with one being SGA's Whispers as per tradition, and the other episode being another spooky SGA, SG1 or SGU episode. Please reply to this post with the number of the episode in the list. The one with the most votes wins and will be shown on our Anniversary Viewing this year together with Whispers.

Here's the list of spooky episodes to choose from: (SG-1 4x20 Entity was excluded since we watched it last year; SG-1 S05E08 The Tomb as well as S09E17 The Scourge removed in case people can’t deal with creepy critters)

1. Atlantis Season 4 Episode 4: Doppelganger During an off-world mission Colonel Sheppard unknowingly becomes host to an alien entity, which infects others in Atlantis and afflicts them with terrifying nightmares. (Clowns in boats)

6. SG-1 Season 9 Episode 3: Origin Daniel comes face to face with the Ori, a fiery race of beings who demand the worship of mortals. Elsewhere, Stargate Command encounters the first Ori missionary in our galaxy. (Religion)

7. SG-1 Season 4 Episode 1: Small Victories O'Neill and Teal'c risk their lives to keep the Replicator bugs from gaining a foothold on Earth, while Carter helps the Asgard fend off a Replicator invasion. (Robospooders)

As you all may know by now, actor Cliff Simon has recently passed away. We wish his family and friends all the strength they need to deal with incredible loss.

In honor of Cliff Simon, we have decided to change up our schedule for Sunday, 21st of March 2020. Instead of SG-1 3x06 Point of View we’ll be showing two episodes featuring Cliff Simon in his role as the fan-favourite Goa’uld System Lord Baal. He appeared in total of 12 episodes throughout Stargate SG-1 and in the movie Stargate: Continuum. Out of those, you get to chose two of your favourite episodes with him.

Furthre more, since Cliff Simon has jewish ancestry, we ask that instead of tagging posts regarding his passing with the the christian connotated R.I.P. (Requiescat in Pace = Rest in Peace) you use the more appropriate May his Memory be for a Blessing instead.
