A Prefeitura da Serra, por meio da Secretaria de Assistência Social, vai dar auxílio para 4.233 famílias, no valor de R$ 154 reais durante 12 meses. O impacto nos cofres públicos será de R$ 1.848,00. E a previsão é que o pagamento comece na primeira quinzena de abril. But nobody did. 😕⁣ ⁣ It baffled me because not only are there a web of medieval streets to explore, but also because Serralunga d'Alba boasts one of the most impressive noble castles in Piedmont, distinguished by its slender structure and shape.⁣ ⁣ Like the one in Castiglione Falletto that featured in my previous post, this 14th-century castle also belonged to the Falletti family who were the most important dynasty in the Langhe. Their history was interwoven with the castle's for over 600 years!⁣ ⁣ In 1864, after the death of the last descendent, the philanthropist Giulia Falletti Colbert, the property was owned by the Opera Pia Barolo and was then acquired and restored by the Italian State in 1949, spearheaded by President Luigi Einaudi.⁣ ⁣ From the top floor of the castle, which can be only be accessed by paying for a guided tour, you have an amazing view of the Langhe area and, on a clear day, the Alps.⁣ ⁣ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲:⁣ ⁣ Take a train from Torino Porta Susa or Torino Lingotto to Alba, and then take a bus to Serralunga d'Alba with 'GTT'. ⁣ Samsung Galaxy S6 ⁣ Taken on 30/11/2019.⁣ ⁣ * Repost *⁣ ⁣ Here's a photo taken last November of a medieval village that surprisingly isn't heavily advertised in the famous hilly wine area of Piemonte – 'The Langhe' – but which shouldn't go amiss: Serralunga d'Alba.⁣ ⁣ Overlooking the gorgeous Langhe hills, located between the provinces of Cuneo and Asti, stands the Castle of Serralunga d'Alba. Given that it wasn't ever conquered, this castle is considered to be one of the best-preserved examples of 14th-century noble castles in the whole region of Piedmont with its unique slender and sinister-looking shape. But unlike other Piedmontese castles, this one didn't serve as a military fortress but rather as a point of control and reference thanks to its high strategic position.⁣ ⁣ The castle mainly consists of three overlapping halls including a small chapel, a fireplace, a razor well where infiltrators were sentenced to death, a living area and a walkway where you can enjoy a 360° view of the rolling hills.⁣ ⁣ The castle can only be visited on a guided tour, which will start again from mid-March. In terms of getting to Serralunga d'Alba, there's a bus service from Alba and Barolo – another famous wine village – Monday to Friday (as well as on Saturdays but with only two buses running) with the company GTT on the bus line 2172.
