Massachusetts District

Deborah Gannett, of Sharon, in the county of Norfolk, and

District of Massachusetts, a resident and native of the United

States, and applicant for a pension from the United States

under an Act of Congress entitled an Act to provide to certain

persons engaged in the land and naval service of the

United States, in the revolutionary war, maketh oath, that she

served as a private soldier, under the name of Robert Shurtliff

in the war of the revolution, upwards of two years in manner

following vis - Enlisted in April 1781 in the company commanded

by Captain George Webb in the Massachusetts Regiment

commanded then by Colonel Shepherd, and afterwards by Colonel Henry

Jackson and served in said corps in Massachusetts, and

New York - until November 1783 - when she was honorably discharged

in writing. which discharge is lost. During the time of her service

she was at the capture of Lord Cornwallis, was wounded

at Tarrytown and now receives a pension from the United

States, which pension she hereby relinquishes. She is in such

reduced circumstance, as to require the aid of her country

for her support.

Ce modèle, un des plus nouveaux et des plus gracieux de la mi-saison, se fait en drap léger de toutes nuances; le devant et le dos forment un gros pli retenu à la taille per un ruban formant ceinture assortie à la nuance de drap; la manche, très ondulée du bas, légèrement soutenue à l'épaule, se termine par un empiècement, lequel est garni d'un ruban posé de façon à former cordelière. Deux nœuds papillon, posés, l'un à la taille et un à l'épaule, terminent la garniture de ce charmant modèle, que nous donnons en patron découpé et qui se compose de six morceaux.

This model, one of the newest and most graceful mid-season, is made of light cloth of all shades; the front and back form a large fold held at the waist by a ribbon forming a belt matching the shade of cloth; the sleeve, very wavy at the bottom, slightly supported at the shoulder, ends with a yoke, which is trimmed with a ribbon placed so as to form a cord. Two bow ties, one at the waist and one at the shoulder, complete the trim of this charming model, which we provide as a cut-out pattern and which is made up of six pieces.

No. 3. — Le devant de l'empiècement; deux crans indiquent le raccord au pli du devant. (The front of the yoke; two notches indicate the connection to the front fold.)

No. 4. — Le col rabattu; un cran indique le devant. (The collar turned down; a notch indicates the front.)

No. 5. — L'empiècement du dos; un cran indique le raccord au pli du dos, un cran à l'épaule, le raccord au cran du devant. (The back yoke; a notch indicates the connection to the back fold, a notch to the shoulder, the connection to the front notch.)

No. 6. — La manche, très évasée du bas, forme de gros godets; deux crans indiquent son raccord au côté du devant. (The sleeve, very flared at the bottom, forms large cups; two notches indicate its connection to the front side.)
