"Tender" "Grave" "Origin" for seiga and yoshika? doesn't have to be romantic or anything, I just assume you being the CEO of seiga you would have thoughts about her resurrecting yoshika
"So, you've been up to chatting while I've been gone, I see?"
Yoshika looked up towards where the voice was coming from. It was a blue-haired woman, her dress an elegant lighter blue, decorated with flowers. She had a white scarf that flowed behind her, with her hair done in loops, she looked quite -
"Seiga Nyan Nyan!" Yoshika suddenly called out. She remembered! The jiangshi hopped towards Seiga with vigor, almost tripping over a gravestone. "No intruders today!"
"Good girl," Seiga giggled, patting Yoshika's head from her hat. "You're such a good girl, Yoshika!"
A slight frown etched Seiga's face, however. "You're not in your usualy spot, though. Do you like over here better?" Perhaps there was new scenery to look at, such as a new bouquet of flowers left by some widow or a nest of baby birds to drool over.
This made Yoshika smile. Her empty eyes stared into Seiga's lively blue ones. "I remember. While you were gone, I talked to a funny lady. Now I'm stuck here."
"Oh?" Seiga said, eyebrows raised in curiosity. She then nodded in understanding. "There were some people I overheard talking about a kasha from Hell visiting..."
"Bwuuuh?" Yoshika said. "I don't know about that. The girl asked me a bunch of questions. But now I'm here."
"Well, if it works, it works!" Seiga pinched Yoshika's cheek. "Just stay here and defend her resting place and we're good to go!"
"Thanks! I'll keep doing my best!" Yoshika said cheerfully.
--
And again, the cycle continued.
Days passed, weeks passed, and months passed. Yoshika lost track of time easily, but it was slightly easier to tell the time when the yamabiko from the temple shouted every morning. There were intruders sometimes, which she chased off. Sometimes, the wind was really hard and would blow Yoshika's talisman off. Then, she would wander aimlessly. One such time she wandered straight into an open grave plot. She was stuck on her back, staring at the sky.
"The clouds, so soft and white. They..." She stopped. "No." She blinked, eyes closed for a long time. "The clouds, endlessly vast and..." She opened her eyes. "No."
"My, my, sitting in a grave? This brings back memories."
Yoshika looked up towards where the voice was coming from. It was a blue-haired woman, her dress an elegant lighter blue, decorated with flowers. She had a white scarf that flowed behind her, with her hair done in loops, she looked quite familiar.
"Huuuuuuuh?" Yoshika groaned.
"Up, up, up! Come on now!" The woman called out, lifting Yoshika under the armpits and up to her feet. "This ought to help you out, dear." She took a talisman out from where they were tied around her legs and placed it on Yoshika's forehead.
Suddenly, the thoughts came back. "Ouuwaaa... Oh! Seiga!" Yoshika suddenly called out. She looked around at her surroundings. "Are you burying me? I don't want to be dead again!"
"No, no, silly. You fell into this hole here." Yoshika hopped out of the grave. "Now, let's get you all spiffed up, okay?"
--
And again, the cycle continued.
Today, there was nothing of interest.
Some intruders were on the horizon, but they stayed away.
Unless... there was an odd snap of a twig or two. And a pitter-patter of feet Yoshika swore she heard. It could be mice, or perhaps a bird. Something tasty. But it was odd. The day was silent. Usually, it wasn't so quiet...
"Boo!"
Yoshika stared at who stood before her. It was a blue-haired woman, her clothing the same blue, decorated with white. A purple umbrella was in her hands, it's tongue lolling out, wet and long. Yoshika for a moment, seeing such a blue lady in front of her, almost thought she looked familiar. A bit of drool escaped Yoshika's mouth, which she quickly slurped it back up as she realized something much more dire.
This was an intruder!
"Doooon't come any closerrrr!" she snarled. "This is no place for the likes of you to enter!"
Kogasa, meanwhile, sighed. She'd been watching this strange lady for quite some time now, and thought for sure she would be able to frighten her. After all, aside from a few lunges at butterflies and grieving humans who got to close, she never seemed to move from her spot.
"Forget it...I'll try to scare some of the residents of the temple," Kogasa said sadly. With an exaggeratedly glum expression shot at Yoshika's way, she proceeded forwards through the graveyard towards the Myouren Temple.
Or, she would have, had a kunai-shaped bullet not been shot her way. "Hey! Watch it!"
"We were revived to protect this mausoleum!" Yoshika bellowed. "I won't let you interrupt her resurrection!" Several more bullets went flying towards Kogasa. As the bullets rained down on the umbrella, however, Yoshika mumbled to herself. "Ooogh, who was 'she?'"
"You want a fight! Well then, bring it on!" Kogasa declared, her umbrella spitting out a spell card for her to use. "Large Ring 'Umbrella Halo!'"
Yoshika's spell cards had been crafted to perfectly harmonize with her abilities as an undead jiangshi. While her dodging was slow, her bullets were many. Perhaps, too many. As Yoshika continued to eat the various spirits that surrounded her, she grew in more power, leaving Kogasa to forfeit.
"Forget it! I'll deal with you later. I don't have time for this!" Kogasa whined, voice cracking. With that, she flew off in the opposite direction, away from Yoshika and away from the place she was guarding.
"And stay out!" Yoshika growled.
And again, the cycle continued.

In my headcanons, sometimes i can be pretty loose when it comes to how the touhous refer to one another and what names they use, and sometimes i’m like super particular about certain things and haven’t changed my mind in forever. I could talk about that with like, just about every group ever but right now i feel like bringing up the examples i’ve fussed over the most, that being eientei, the buddhists, and the taoists.
i’m really prickly about reisen only ever being referred to as ‘udonge ‘(short for udongein!) by eirin and ‘inaba’ by kaguya. And Yes I’m  aware there have been instances in canon where they don’t strictly adhere to that, but I don’t care❗ I choose not to acknowledge it 😑 I think Mokou calling her ‘reisan-chan’ is very cute 😊 While i’m at it, for Reisen, I like it when its always just ‘master’ (shisho), ‘princess’, and uh, just ‘mokou-san and tewi’ i guess??
for a long time I’ve had it in my head that almost everyone Myourenji refers to Byakuren as ‘Hijiri’ in some way or another, but its kinda different for all of them. Ichirin and Murasa usually when talking about Byakuren with others, refer to her respectfully as ‘Lady Hijiri’, but when talking personally with her, Ichirin would go with ‘sister’ (anesan) and Murasa just ‘Hijiri’. I’ve gone back and forth on how Shou would refer to her, both in the past and present, but also just default to ‘hijiri’ too. That said, I think it’s fun if Nue is the one among them who sticks with ‘Byakuren’ 👽
in shinrebyou its pretty straightforward. Everyone in Miko’s circle calls her crown prince (taishi-sama) to some extent. I think Futo would exclusively use that because she just feels its the most respectful, when Tojiko says it is usually more like a nickname nowadays, and Seiga uses it the rarest and usually only when teasing or joking around (and otherwise she goes with toyosatomimi-san i think...). Actually speaking of Seiga, I think only Futo would speak to her with any formality (seiga-dono...) but its purely a formality because none of them actually think she’s ‘above’ them in anyway even if she’s supposedly their teacher ☠ (but the nyan nyan nickname sometimes comes up... usually with yoshika. or miko o_o)

"Miko, Miko, my precious Prince. Check this out!"
Seiga pulls out two halves of a chocolate sword and puts them together, running her thumb across the seams to seal the two halves together into one whole chocolate sword. She then kisses Miko on the forehead.

"Happy Valentine's Day."
Tumblr media
"Such an excellent gift Seiga Nyan-Nyan. After all, it would seem that in the modern day a truly dashing prince of legend has need for such armaments at her hip."
Even if during her own day she had prepared something with a bit more reach, they no longer lived in that era. Now they were modern saints for modern humans.
"And I think I will look absolutely dashing with this!"
If not stopped, she's going to wear it sheathed at her hip until it has melted into a messy chocolate pool.

Seiga Kaku:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seiga Kaku is a wicked hermit, that is to say, a hermit who only used the practice in pursuit of power without any intention of spiritual enlightenment or living in harmony with nature.
When Seiga was a young girl, her father left the family to become a hermit in the mountains. She wasn't heartbroken, surprisingly, and instead just thought that Taoism must be really interesting to get him to leave like that. She decided to become a Taoist hermit too, and meet her dad again one day. When she became an adult, she married into the Kaku family, but was unable to throw away her Taoist ambitions. Eventually, she fell into a deep depression, and eight years later, she died.
Except she didn't. Seiga faked her death using an ancient Taoist spell to turn a bamboo rod into her corpse, and ran away to fulfill all her dreams. She was able to gain eternal youth through many dark arts, and she committed horrible atrocities that made her feared by all. She didn't even regret leaving her family behind and leaving them heartbroken.
This was all in China, by the way. She's Chinese. She eventually moved to Japan where there were less Taoists, thus making her abilities much more special. At the time, Japan was locked in a war of religion between the recently-arrived Buddhism, and the native Shinto. She caught the attention of a famous leader, Shoutoku Taishi, and suggested that she follow Taoism to gain immortality and superpowers, while pretending to follow Buddhists to pacify the population. After this, over a thousand years later, when it was finally time for Shoutoku to resurrect, Seiga reappeared with her zombie slave, Yoshika Miyako, at the Myouren Temple cemetery.
Seiga Kaku was fought as the 4th boss of Touhou 13: Ten Desires, at the end of an underground passage leading to the front door of the Divine Spirit Mausoleum. She hasn't appeared much since, but there’s been a few reappearance, such as her appearing in a chapter of Wild and Horned Hermit, using her skills to escape an oni with water powers who was sent to kill her and take her to Hell where she belongs.
She's quite... eccentric, personality-wise. She's incredibly happy and perky at all times, even in the face of committing incredibly immoral actions. She apparently considers her zombie slave Yoshika to be adorable in all aspects. She insists on being called "Seiga Nyan Nyan", which is a pun on "Niang Niang" (an archaic Chinese word meaning empress or noblewoman) combined with the sound a cat makes in Japanese. But she definitely deserves her title of wicked hermit. It's a title she wears with pride, to the point she's literally made business cards with "Wicked Hermit" listed as her occupation!
Seiga has the power to travel through walls. She does this by utilizing the pin in her hair as a magic chisle of sorts and drawing a hole in the wall to go through. She's even able to draw holes in floors and fall through them. It seems that softer substances are actually harder for her to pass through than hard ones. In gameplay this is represented by her warping from one edge of the screen to the other.
She also is a regular necromancer, using the art of Yǎng Xiǎoguǐ: channeling energy from the corpses of dead fetuses!
In danmaku, just like her color scheme, almost all her attacks are cyan or blue in some way. She uses unique black and light blue electricity orbs, usually in tandem with those atrocious curving laser beams. Though some of her attacks are also a deep red color. Most notably, she can assume direct control of Yoshika Miyako and use her as a human shield. Yoshika can be stunned temporarily, but she'll keep getting up until Seiga herself is defeated. Her spellcards are named after misfortunes and dark arts, and are often called "Evil Sign".
She knows a lot more about Christianity than most people in this series. She proudly declared that Shoutoku Taishi's resurrection will "far surpass that foreign saint who resurrected three days after his execution". And she even celebrates Christmas! In her own messed up way! She dresses up as Santa and breaks into people's houses and steals shit. Then she throws it all away because she doesn't even really want it.
Tumblr media
While the next several bosses are loosely based on real people, Seiga is based on a Chinese story from the 1600s about a woman named Qing'e who marries a man only to fake her death and become a Daoist hermit, inspired by her father.

"I know how much you like fire, Futo, so I wanted you to have a chocolate delight that included it in some way."
"It was gonna be metaphorical until I found out you could do this."
Seiga pulls out a chocolate ball, sets it on the table, and pulls out a sake dish. She lights the sake in the dish on fire, swishes it around a little bit, and pours it onto the chocolate ball while it's still flaming. The fire engulfs the chocolate ball until it melts away, revealing a scoop of ice cream and lava cake beneath it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Here, try it!" She hands Futo another chocolate ball and sake dish.
Needless to say, the show is more than enchanting enough to enrapture the smaller hermit. Her eyes are practically sparkling as she watches the flaming chocolate ball, and when Seiga hands her her own, she lets out a delighted sound.
Tumblr media
"'Tis as wonderful a gift as I could imagine, Miss Nyan Nyan! Truly not one I shall forget! Rest assured, I shall prepare something equally suitable as a return gift when the time is come!" Expressions of gratitude out of the way, Futo will get to work pouring in the sake and conjuring fire to her fingers to light it. She's going to have a wonderful time today.
