i would also like to add into that fanon mistakes mcu!peter for a goody two shoes when hes canonly quite chaotic. he disobeys tony, hes reckless, he endangers, he actively makes a choice to try to kill norman (and he's planning it in the lab scene with the other spideys - he can't even say norman's name), and he would've succeeded without raimi pete. that is a hugeeee thing to have happened. he is on his way to being an absolute mess and i for one would love to see this explored in spidey 4 pls

It is one of my biggest pet peeves in this damn fandom for everyone to assume that MCU Peter is some dweeby snot nosed “golly gee whiz mister stark!!!” when in canon he is not that at all.

Does he have far too much hero worship for Tony Stark than a Peter Parker ever should? Yes. But it’s like everyone read a stupid as shit cuddly irondad fic and decided “yep that’s how he is in canon, hate that little twink”

Do we not remember that this is the same kid that sassed Tony Stark to his face within MINUTES of meeting him? HOCO Peter was desperately trying to prove himself (which is bad) but even HE wasn’t the “omigod mr st-stark” that everyone wants to believe he is. That’s purely fanon.

Anyone who says with their whole chest that they don’t like MCU Peter because he’s too uwu/soft/babyfied/whatever the fuck just shows me that they’ve been reading far too much cuddly irondad fics cause that belief sure as shit didn’t come from watching any of his movies.

unfortunately I cannot be normal when characters love each other but break up anyway and it's for the best but they can't stay away and then the plot throws them back together and they figure out how to actually be together.
