Scotty being played by an actual Scot is something that can be so personal as a scottish trekkie, guys.

The point of putting Scotty on the Enterprise was to prove that Scots can be as highly skilled, qualified and competent as anyone else on that bridge, and casting Martin Quinn feels like another nod to that - you don't have to be a big name to play an iconic Scottish character. And with all due respect to the actors who brought him to life first and helped him get to this point, some characters are just long overdue to be played by a Scot and Scotty is one of those long-beloved characters in Scotland. SNW has made a real effort with casting and developing our favourite underutilised TOS characters so far and I'm excited to see where they take him next. And yes, I WILL be expecting Scottish independence jokes.

We've been ready and waiting for him and now we're finally bringing Scotty home and i will never stop talking about it. Welcome aboard, Martin Quinn, and welcome home, Mr. Scott!

Scotties by the Sea features 30 giant Scottie Dog sculptures, forming a free, 10-week art trail of discovery for local people and visitors of all ages to explore and enjoy.

Each sculpture is sponsored by local businesses, community groups and education organisations. They are decorated by local artists and communities – all designed to celebrate our vibrant history, culture, and coastal heritage.

The sculptures are displayed in locations across St Andrews and along the Northeast Fife Coast, where visitors can use a bespoke map and mobile app to help them navigate the trail, discover new places and unlock exciting rewards and discounts provided by sponsors.

HAPPY FIRST GOTCHA DAY BISCUIT!!!

I've learned so much from having a hard headed, fun-loving, ridiculous terrier in my life. I'm grateful for the trust she's put in me after her rough start, and I'm excited to see what adventures this next year will bring us.

Scotty's still doing some stretching! I'm on shore leave for several days, because OH BOÏ mcspirkmonth was awesome and draining, but don't worry there is some art in the queue!
