Aaaah okay here's my weird theory post for shit happening in the Scarlet/Violet games so far as the paradox pokemon and the terastallize phenomena and how the school is connected with it all I'm gonna just copy and paste a lot of the text from my rant about it on Discord with screenshots inserted but yeah here goes nothing

(It does get a bit image heavy during the second part of this rant so forewarning)

My big long discussion about it was actually started after a talk about Paradox Suicune specifically. Like, the idea of the paradox pokemon is that they're supposedly from the past/future. But, consider the fact that the original three legendary beast pokemon were completely different to the ones we know now. They were reborn by Ho-Oh and given their current forms.

So why would Suicune's past form have any resemblance to the form Ho-oh gave to it?

Simple: because the paradox pokemon aren't from the past or present - they're from a different world altogether. A world that was connected to the game's world via a gateway made by the very pokemon that both originated from that other world, and is the cause of the terastallization, Terapagos.

This gateway at the center of the crater where Terapagos landed is the same one the professors mistook as a means of time travel.

So, in theory, the pokemon coming from that gateway are actually from that planet and look so different because life evolved differently there. They could even be forms of pokemon that previously went through the gate and evolved in a radically different direction than they did on the home planet.

Now, we get into how I think the academy is involved with covering up the source of terastallization. A lot of this is just held together with silly string so don't take it too seriously but yeah I've thought about this one a lot.

SO ANYWAY

We know that the expedition lead by Heath was financially supported by the school.

We also know that Heath went on the expedition with his partner Cyclizar.

Now, one of the entries in the book written by him could allude to the fact that Heath and his partner could have stumbled upon the gateway and entered that other world.

I bring up his Cyclizar because, if his partner went with him through that gateway, his Cyclizar could have been the catalyst that resulted in Koraidon/Miraidon.

Also, somewhat on subject, I theorize that the people from this other planet could have been able to travel the connection themselves. This would be what led to the unusual markings found in the crater.

(Fun fact, these same markings appear on the logos for the scarlet and violet games)

Anyway, with all that being said I think the Academy itself, using its connections with the expedition and their findings, is using its power and resources to cover up what was discovered. The reasoning for this could possibly be because (and this is almost all speculation so there's not a lot of proof for why I think this just bear with me) they're using the terastallization energy for profit and also because, maybe, there's someone still here from that other planet.

To prevent that person from returning to that planet - and possibly taking back the secret of terastallization with them - the school removed the very source of it from the crater.

And what better place to hide a powerful pokemon like that...than in a pokeball?

And I have a guess as to the person that may have some connection to that other world, whether she actually IS from that world, or a descendant. She's not only one of the only people in the game to use the one other pokemon that seems to have a closer connection with terastallization (Glimmora), but she visually has a VERY different design than all the other characters.

Okay this is all pretty farfetched (pun intended, why not) but that's my theory anyway :P

List of games that would kill me (positive) if they were ever announced:

Pikmin Maker (honestly even if they just let you make Pikmin 4 caves or Dandori stages it would be so cool, just as long as we can actually control the layout of the levels and not have something like that pitiful Link's Awakening "dungeon maker" where you place pre-made rooms together, or a Pikmin 2 Cave Editor-like thing where you give the game layout pieces, monsters, and treasures and let it vomit up some subpar RNG'd level)

A new Meteos game. Seriously this series has not gotten any main entries since 2008 and Wars' online being pathetic killed any hopes of it having a lasting impact. Give us a new game pls. We got a new Lumines game a few years ago so why not Meteos :(

Honestly any sort of a new Deadly Rooms of Death game would be amazing. I know the series was "done" with The Second Sky though so this is very unlikely. We did get a new "Smitemaster's Selection" level-set last December though, so there's still a chance!

Portal 3! Wouldn't be as much of a OHKO as the other games here but getting to see Chell and GLaDOS again, and getting new puzzle elements to play with would be so cool! No clue how they would follow up on the ending of Portal 2 though, but Valve could probably make it work.

A mainline Mario game that takes a risk on a brand-new non-Mushroom Kingdom setting like Mario World did, with new enemies and biomes! We do have shades of this with Mario Odyssey and the upcoming Mario Wonder which is really promising, hope they do push things even further though!

Cave Story 2. Not much to say here, just... I wanna see more of those characters!!

Honestly any sort of new Life is Strange content would get me super hyped up, but if somehow we got some sort of True Colors follow-up with lots of Steph & Alex being cute together I would DIE ON THE SPOT. It's basically impossible for it to happen but GOD. PLEASE.

MARIO SUNSHINE 2. DELFINO ISLE IN HIGH DEFINITION WOULD BE HEAVEN.

Wario World 2. The original was so much fun but oh god it was so short it hurts. I need MORE

A new Tomodachi Life game with queer relationships and enby characters. Of course, with Nintendo being Nintendo... doubt that's gonna happen. Miitopia does kind of give me some hope at the very least.

A new Spyro game in the vein of the Reignited Trilogy. Crash got his, where's the dragon???

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3 with KREMLINGS. Need I say more? Let K. Rool return to tip the scales!!

Hey Popcap how about a new Insaniquarium game?? And if you make it a freemium mobile game I'm stealing your kneecaps :)

Owl House licensed game would be so hype. Whether I'd play it really depends on what they do in terms of gameplay, but ugh that series needs more love than it had.
