I'm really sorry about this.

I was referring to the ingoing Eddington-Finkelstein extension for the Schwarzschild metric, so yes, the Kretschmann scalar does still tend to infinity, but the horizon is no longer singular. However, by observing the trajectory of light cones in these coordinates (observers), no future directed radial null geodesics leave r < 2M, indicating the horizon of the black hole. Once the light cone travels past r = 2M, all world lines lead to the singularity, seen by the fact the singularity slices through the light cone as it tilts toward the singularity. Moreover, inside the Schwarzschild radius, the singularity is now a timelike coordinate rather than spacelike, hence it becomes a point in time in these coordinates.

In reality, Kruskal-Szekeres coordinates are a better extension of Schwarzschild spacetime since they cover the whole manifold, but then the singularity is given in terms of both timelike and spacelike coordinates and it's not as fun anymore.

My favourite theory about the end of the universe.

It's clean, efficient & quick.

Hopefully, you all know the Higgs field.

The Higgs field is a scalar (spin-0) field that interacts with almost all standard model particles. The strength of this interaction determines the mass of the particle.

You can imagine that the Higgs field is a viscous structure of nature that slows particles down (preventing them from travelling at the speed of light), effectively giving them a mass. The reason why this Higgs mechanism works lies in the so-called 'Mexican Hat potential' of the Higgs field.

The ground state of the Higgs field is not at the centre of the potential but reaches its minimum at non-zero field values.

Like an electric field, the Higgs field varies in strength, based on its potential.

Think of it as a track on which a ball is rolling.

The higher it is on the track, the more energy the ball has.

Quantum fields are the fundamental building blocks of the universe.

Every kind of particle, e.g. a photon or an electron, is really just a local manifestation of an underlying field.

That field soaks all of space & time & the way those fields interact & communicate with each other makes up the forces and physics of our existence.

That existence is based on four fundamental forces: gravity, the weak force, electromagnetism & the strong force, which were united in the beginning but underwent transitions, which made them split apart one by one.

The last phase transition occurred when the electromagnetic force split from the weak force. That splitting gave rise to the photon and the W & Z bosons, the carriers of those two forces.

The Higgs field is what separated the electromagnetic force from the weak force & what maintains that split today.

Without the Higgs boson, those forces would merge right back together, which would have not so great consequences (perhaps)

The Higgs potential determines whether the universe is in one of two states:

a true vacuum

a false vacuum.

A true vacuum is the stable, lowest-energy state, like sitting still on a valley floor.

A false vacuum is like being nestled in a divot in the valley wall – a little push could easily send you tumbling (which would change the potential energy state: higher or lower)

A universe in a false vacuum state is called metastable because it’s not actively decaying (rolling), but it’s not exactly stable either.

Such a drastic change or hop between energy states can happen in two ways:

If you create a high enough energy event, you theoretically can push a tiny region of the universe from the false vacuum into the true vacuum, creating a bubble of true vacuum that will then expand in all directions at the speed of light - with horrifying consequences.

In quantum physics, it's possible that a particle ‘tunnels’ through a barrier between one region & another & this also applies to the vacuum state. A universe that is sitting quite happily in the false vacuum could, via random quantum fluctuations, suddenly find part of itself in the true vacuum, causing the same disaster described in 1.

The walls of the created true vacuum bubble would expand in all directions at the speed of light.

You wouldn’t see it coming. ;)

The walls can contain a huge amount of energy, so you might be incinerated as the bubble wall ploughed through you.

Different vacuum states have different constants of nature, so the basic structure of matter might also be disastrously altered.

But hey, it could be even worse: in 1980, theoretical physicists Sidney Coleman & Frank De Luccia calculated for the first time that any bubble of true vacuum would immediately suffer total gravitational collapse - which also means death.

If the universe is indeed metastable, such a transition could occur through quantum processes at any time.

But it probably won’t – the lifetime of a metastable universe is predicted to be much longer than the current age of the universe.

Kieran Morningstar was the prince of hell, son of Lucifer and Lilith, twin brother to Charlie. He had made a terrible mistake years ago. he fell for the charms of the porn demon, falling quickly in love, the love clouded the red flags, and the prince lost his soul. But the circumstances turned brighter when Kieran met the white spider demon.

1974 Kieran was naive and young, not by human standards, he was a demon after all. He was 170, around 18 for a human, he had been sheltered almost his whole life up until now. He spent most of his childhood with his father, Lucifer, as his mother, Lilith seemed to find Kieran "odd" and would rather spend time with his twin sister, Charlie, Kireran was older, by only 5 seconds. Kieran had a love for bugs and magic, the later his father was all too happy to teach him. Kieran had been a constant light in his fathers eyes, always brightening his father's depressed mind.

Kieran decided today was the day. He would go out and go somewhere he had never gone before. He put on a white shirt, with flared sleeves, black shorts, a black cummerbund with red hearts, red suspenders with a spider brooch, fishnets, and black platform boots, he finished by tying a black ribbon in a bow around his neck. Perhaps a bit dapper for where he was going today, but Kieran enjoyed dressing up.

Kieran made his way to a club that was called "Consent". He had never been to a place like this before. He entered and looked around nervously. Kieran wasn't one for people, or crowds of any kind, but he forced himself to walk to the bar. He ordered a drink.

A man caught his eye. He was a moth demon, with purple skin, red eyes and a massive pile of white fur surrounding his neck. He was certainly striking. Kieran looked away when their eyes met, he drank his alcohol. He didn't like the way it burned. He started to watch the other patrons to see what everyone else was doing.

Valentino sat on a couch in the club. He was still relatively new to hell. He had only died four years ago, but he had met a man named Vox and they became business partners of sorts, and they had started to climb up the ladder together. Valentino had started a porn business, and was at the club looking for new talent.

His eyes landed on a man at the bar. The man looked away when their eyes met. He was tall, had large red horns, a tiny waist, with sizable hips and ass. But most importantly, to Valentino anyway, so unsure looking, so innocent. Valentino could practically taste the naivety coming off of him, prime for the grooming. Valentino smirked to himself. He got up from the couch and approached.

Kieran was too busy watching people to notice Valentino approaching. Valentino handed him a drink, he wore a charming smile. "You look familiar. Have we met?" Valentino asked, in a low seductive tone.

Now that he was closer Valentino could see him clearly. He was pale, with yellow scalares, red slit pupils, red dots on his cheeks, a black dot on his nose, and his blond hair was slicked back. He was certainly unique looking, and beautiful. Valentino tried not to react as he figured out who this was. Kieran Morningstar. The prince of hell. Valentino had only ever seen pictures of the Morningstar Family.

"I don't think so I've never been here before" Kieran replied softly. His eyes were wide as he looked at Valentino.

"My apologies, Principito(Little prince), I didn't realize who you were at first. I should have recognized a beauty such as yourself, Kieran Morningstar." Valentino took Kieran's hand and kissed it causing Kieran to blush, his entire face nearly turned red. He didn't know how to react.

"That's okay" Kieran whispered, taking a sip of the drink Valentino handed him. The alcohol burned his throat, worse than the one he ordered, but he drank it to have something to do.

"Dance with me Principito?" Valentino asked, his hand cupping Kieran's face gently. Kieran blushed again, he was hesitant but Valentino had been the only one to talk to him thus far, so he nodded. Kieran didn't know club etiquette anyway, so he didn't know if there was a proper way to deny his offer. Valentino pulled him by the hand to the dance floor and they began.

It had been six months now since Valentino had met Kieran, and the prince was falling hard and fast, right into Valentino's trap. Valentino took every opportunity to shower him with affection and gifts, and Kieran was none the wiser to Valentino's true motivate. Kieran had even started to film sexual escapades with Valentino, though he had not informed Kieran he was selling them. Kieran Thought it was just for fun.

"Here Principito try this" Valentino said there were two lines of a white powder on the table. "What is it?" Kieran asked hesitantly. The only drug he had done before was weed. "It's just some coke, it'll make you feel great I promise" Valentino said leaning closer to Kieran.

"I-i dunno Val" Valentino glared for a moment, then blew a large cloud of red smoke right into Kieran's face. Kieran had no choice but to breathe it in, his mind went fuzzy. "Snort it up Mi Amor. I'll even help you"

Kieran's mind was foggy from Valentino's smoke, so he nodded, allowing Valentino to guide his head and press on one side of Kieran's nose. Kieran inhaled, it was a sensation he couldn't really describe, but he didn't hate it.

Around five minutes later, Kieran felt fantastic as the drug took effect, he didn't even notice that Valentino had started groping him, Valentino gave him another line to distract Kieran while he got more handsy. In Kieran's high state, he didn't seem to care, he was more interested in Valentino's neck fluff.

Valentino shoved his hand down Kieran's pants. Kieran jumped a bit and tried to move away. He wasn't expecting Valentino to do this right now, and wasn't sure if he wanted it.

"Shhhhhh Kir. just let me" Valentino whispered, blowing more red smoke into Kieran's face. Kieran inhaled the smoke, that combined with the coke, made him very pliable, so he let it happen. Kieran continued to mess with the fluffy fur.

"Moths are a vital part of the food chain, they're a big source of food for bats and birds, moths are indicator species,their numbers tell scientists if an ecosystem is doing well or not." Kieran rambled off facts he knew about moths. Valentino ignored him, wishing Kieran would just shut up, he quickened his pace hoping it would make Kieran stop talking. It didn't.

"You can easily tell the difference between a butterfly and a moth by the antennae; some moths make their own squeaking sound in order to confuse the bats hunting them." Kieran said between moans, in his inebriated state, Kieran was enjoying what Valentino was doing, but he would enjoy talking about moths more. ~~

"You want my soul? But I thought you loved me?" Kieran whispered, he felt insecurities rising, had it all been fake, their whole relationship? He looked at Valentino with wide eyes.

They had been together for almost a year now, Kieran was living with Valentino, he had become a drug addict, and had a dependence on alcohol. Kieran was completely under Valentino's thumb, entranced by Valentino's "Love" for him. He had fallen hard and fast for the moth, right into Valentino's trap.

"Oh, I do love you, Kieran. Love you so much that it just aches me to the core of my soul. But you see, there are many ways to demonstrate just how much you love someone. signing away your soul to me is one of them. The contract will be signed and you'll be mine until you die, all mine." Valentino whispered, he kissed Kieran's cheek, blowing some red smoke in Kieran's face.

"I just need you here forever, so I can have all the fun I want with you, whenever I want to. And this way, no one else can touch you, or even look at you. You'll be mine, forever." Valentino whispered sweetly. At this point Kieran hadn't noticed many red flags. But you know what they say, when you look at someone through rose-colored glasses, all the red flags look like flags.

"And it won't even hurt, mi vida. It never does." Valentino whispered, blowing another puff of smoke into Kieran's face, and kissing him softly. Kieran was hesitant, but he trusted Valentino, and the smoke clouded his judgment. He grabbed the pen, and signed his name. Valentino tried to hide his smirk.

It had been a few weeks since Kieran made the deal. He had started to film for Valentino under the name "Pixie stixx", a name Valentino suggested. He had noticed a lot of Valentino's workers had a single gold tooth like Valentino did. Things were mostly the same, until today.

Valentino was in an awful mood. He was screaming, throwing things, tearing assistants apart. Kieran was terrified, he had never seen Valentino act like this before. Kieran, despite being scared, felt bad for all the workers, so he put on a brave face and approached Valentino.

"Val maybe you should calm down, your really starting to get out of control, you've torn three of your workers apart already" Kieran said in a soft tone, gently touching Valentino's shoulder.

Valentino glared at Kieran. "You think I should calm down? Why bitch? Am I scaring you? What are you gonna do, run to your Papi?" Valentino hissed, grabbing Kieran's arm tightly. Kieran winced and tried to loosen his grasp.

"He already knows your whore. Might as well tell him your a druggy too" Kieran had reluctantly told Lucifer he was a porn star, when he asked what Kieran's job was, Kieran had always had a difficult time lying. Though Lucifer wasn't ecstatic about his son being a porn star, he accepted it, Valentino knew Kieran would never tell Lucifer willingly about the drugs or alcohol.

Valentino then punched Kieran hard, right in the mouth, Kieran let out a whimper and he fell to the ground, holding his bloody mouth, Valentino had knocked out Kieran's right fang. Valentino smirked at him.

One of the assistants took Kieran to the dentist, where they fixed him with a new golden fang, now Kieran would fit right in with all Valentino's other victims now.

The next day, Valentino came bearing fake apologies, and a kitten. The kitten wasn't very pretty, he was all black, mangled, with blue eyes that seemed to glow. But Kieran loved him. Kieran named the cat Church. He thought it was ironic, and funny for the son of Lucifer to have a cat with that name. Kieran forgave Valentino. It was the first time Valentino had hit him, and Kieran naively thought it would be the last.

3 robots emerged from the red sunrise in their apricot colored, sleek cruiser. Driving was the brains of the trio, a red dressed robot with a brunette hairstyle named Ririco. Behind was a blue behemoth named King, an older model with a keen eye for scanning and analyzing. Riding by the driver was the youthful yellow Robin, bouncing around and smiling at the neon trees in the mechanical jungle.

Robin looked outside the window, precariously close to falling out before King effortlessly yanked him back to his seat.

"So, how much longer until we find the," Robin said and stumbled with faulty memory.

"The Scalar Pool," Ririco said with a smile. "King knows the specifics, but it's a place where we can be fully connected. We won't have to scrounge for battery juice boxes anymore. And you," she playfully rubbed Robin's head and tapped his silver arm, "won't need to find replacement parts all the time."

"I HAVE GENERATED MULTIPLE DIAGNOSTICS," King boomed, "AND THE DESTINATION'S COORDINATES HAVE BEEN DETERMINED WITH REGARDS TO TEKTITE DEPOSITS."

"Right! And we'll be on the right track with our compass."

She held out a black box that opened up and revealed a magnet pointing north and closed it back up. Robin leaned back and looked at the sky with airplanes soaring together in a flock, circling in a synchronized wave, all blinking in a pattern. He looked down at his prosthetic arm with a grimace.

"I don't think having new parts is a bad thing. Maybe I'll find a jetpack or-or longer legs so I can run faster! Maybe I'll find arms bigger than King's!"

"NOT A CHANCE."

Robin turned and stuck out his tongue at King while Ririco giggled. She spotted a fork in the road and frowned as she looked ahead. Both paths were consumed by an immense violet cloud across the desert.

"This would be awful even if it was just a straight line. There's no telling if this substance will short circuit us. King, what can you scan?"

The giant rotated his head a full 180 degrees and a series of bassy whirrs oscillated.

"MATERIAL IS UNKNOWN BUT DOES NOT CONSIST OF HARMFUL MOISTURE. IT IS INTERFERING WITH MY POSITIONING, HOWEVER, AND BOTH PATHS ARE OBSCURED AFTER 100 METERS."

"Wait, does that mean," Robin trembled, "we're lost?"

"Don't worry, Robin. We'll go as far as we can, and if things look too bad, I'll turn us around."

Robin nodded and tried putting on a brave face, but Ririco looked at the gas gauge and knew it would make things worse if they had to walk on foot. She turned on the low white lights and drove carefully.

King acted as patrol, surveying anything suspicious, but even his technology had difficulty piecing information with the growing veil surrounding them. A minute passed and they felt it was too far to return now, even as Ririco was tightening her grip on the wheel.

Robin looked out despite his nerves and he swore he saw shapes flying around. Weird forms like the bodies of him and his friends but darkened and vibrating. These terrified him and he grabbed onto Ririco's arm as these shapes came closer. His grip loosened as he looked closer at the figures and saw how they were animated, almost like they were doing an array of pleasant activities like dancing and meditating. He wasn't sure if he was making this up, since robots are supposed to be logical beings, or if he was seeing something the other 2 could not.

His fear became curiosity and he was smiling with open joy at the more complex rituals the shapes performed. They embraced, stretched, and one reached out to the startled Robin. Yet this blurry dark violet hand was slow and gentle, going along the speed of the car, and Robin cautiously held out his hand to touch back. He was mere centimeters away and could almost hit until it dissipated and vanished with the others in the mist as the trio came out of the other side unscathed.

Ririco exhaled in relief and King resumed his stolid placement. Robin felt calmer having experienced that, even if he was frightened at first, and he could not help wondering more about his strange non-metallic friends. Yet he was glad to see the other side of the mist with all the familiar and new machines and gadgets scattered across the fields. He thought the Scalar Pool must be like that every day. Never before had he wanted to find this promised land that turned his gears and all the fascinating marvels awaiting him.

I was holding out on starting any designs but I know exactly how I wanted her to look and how her arc is going to go soooo I made her design. If Cinder had gained her injury in the later arcs she probably would’ve just had her leg amputated but since they didn’t have the skills during tpb she had it pulled up and wrapped across her back with vines. Also made her a orange speckled bc I love that in designs.

(ID- Cinder is standing to the left with her face titled to the right, her left eye open and looking at the camera with a wide smile and wink. She has a gap tooth and is pretty sleek with spots of jagged fur especially on her legs, head tuft, and tail. She is blue gray with cream on her mane, belly, tail, and on the insides of her legs. White is on her belly and beside the cream. Darker blue is down her back, striped on her tail and legs, and on her paws with it on her eyebrows, ears, and under her eyes in heart like markings. Across her pelt are ginger and cream speckles like cinders. She has pale yellow scalars and deep blue eyes, her left ear is chipped and the fluff in her ears messy semi meant to resemble a fire. Her back leg is tucked in on itself, scars the same color as her ears and nose with vines tying it up to keep it against her side. She has a playful smile. End ID)

Cinder is bi and ace, female leaning though she never has a mate in her life.

In ATOF she doesn’t become a healer and works hard to recover and become a warrior despite the cats telling her she couldn’t ever. She successfully does and is a big role in driving out Tigerclaw because she deserves to get that guy. Amazed and proud of her success she is named Cinderspark for her always bright nature and perseverance.

As a character she is almost always looking at the bright side but knows what it’s like to be trapped in the dark so she is especially good at helping those in need emotionally. Besides that she’s incredibly hardworking, persistent, and fierce always making sure no one is being picked on or left behind. While she is a little clumsy when it comes to hunting birds because of their speed she’s a master at getting mice because of how light she’s able to step but where she most shines is in battle. Immediately because of her missing leg most scoff at her and just try to bat her aside but when she leaps over and pummels them to the ground it always lights the fire in her belly to win.

She dies the same way as in canon, saving the nursery and is given a honor title at her vigil. Cinderspark the Perseverant. On her grave are daffodils for respect and Sorreltail in deep gratitude names her strongest kitten after the molly.

I want to give her some tale because of how impactful she is despite having a life so short. I kinda like the idea of her being represented by some great animal like a resilient flower or animal.
