Victorinox Kitchen Knives
Victorinox is a Swiss company known for producing high-quality kitchen knives that are widely popular among professional chefs and home cooks alike. The company has a long history dating back to the late 19th century, when it was founded by Karl Elsener. Today, Victorinox is best known for its iconic Swiss Army knives, but it also produces a wide range of other products including kitchen cutlery, watches, and travel gear.

One of the main reasons why Victorinox kitchen knives are so popular is because of their exceptional quality and durability. The company uses high-grade stainless steel for its blades, which is known for its corrosion-resistant properties and ability to hold a sharp edge for a long time. The blades are also carefully crafted using a process called "forging," which involves heating and shaping the steel under high pressure to create a strong and durable blade.
In addition to the quality of the blades, Victorinox kitchen knives are also known for their comfortable and ergonomic handles. The company uses a variety of materials for its handles, including wood, plastic, and stainless steel, and each handle is designed to fit comfortably in the hand and provide a secure grip. This not only makes the knives easier to use, but also helps to reduce the risk of hand fatigue during long periods of use.
Victorinox offers a wide range of kitchen knives to suit different needs and preferences. Some of the most popular types of knives that the company produces include:
Chef's knives: These are all-purpose knives that are essential for any kitchen. Victorinox chef's knives come in a variety of sizes and shapes to suit different cutting tasks, and they are typically made with a wide and heavy blade that is great for chopping, dicing, and mincing.
Paring knives: These are smaller knives that are ideal for peeling, coring, and trimming fruits and vegetables. Victorinox paring knives have a sharp, pointed blade that is great for precision work, and they are usually smaller and more lightweight than chef's knives.
Santoku knives: These are Japanese-style knives that are similar to chef's knives in terms of versatility, but they have a shorter and wider blade that is great for slicing and dicing. Victorinox santoku knives are a popular choice for those who prefer a more compact and lightweight knife.
Utility knives: These are medium-sized knives that are great for a wide range of tasks, including slicing meats, cheeses, and bread. Victorinox utility knives have a sharp and pointed blade that is great for precision work, and they are usually smaller and more lightweight than chef's knives.
Bread knives: These are specialized knives with a serrated edge that is great for slicing through bread and other baked goods. Victorinox bread knives have a long and thin blade that is designed to slice through bread without crushing it, and they are usually made with a flexible blade to make it easier to follow the contours of the bread.
Steak knives: These are small and sharp knives that are designed for cutting meats, particularly steaks. Victorinox steak knives have a thin and sharp blade that is great for slicing through meats without tearing or shredding them, and they are usually made with a pointed tip for precision work.
In addition to these types of knives, Victorinox also produces a wide range of other kitchen tools and accessories, including knife blocks, sharpening tools, and knife sets. These sets can be a great way to get started with a new kitchen knife collection, as they typically include a variety of different knives and accessories at a discounted price.

INTRODUCING THE JUN SERIES! These knives are from a longtime friend and feature excellent geometry being thin, thin, thin. They come in three flavors - a 115mm wa-petty, 150mm wa-petty, and a 165mm wa-santoku - and are AUS-8 stainless steel with stainless cladding for a relatively tough and durable knife despite being so thin. They also come with leather sayas that have built-in pins and Borneo ironwood handles. Check out the link in our profile to take you to this collection and other things we’ve posted about previously! These strike a nice balance between thin being convex while also being resistant to damage and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do. It was pouring out today. After lunch, I remembered that the santoku needed some work. From soaking the stones, marking the edge, finding the angle, working my way up the grit and deburring along the way. It was a therapeutic and super zen working on the knife this afternoon.

I’m thinking Beatrice would be a kitchen knife nerd given that she throws combat knives. So yeah maybe they have a cheap set of kitchen knives because they’re hiding out in Switzerland on a limited budget, but Bea treats them like her throwing knives and has them as sharp as razors. Maybe one day she’s oogling a really nice butcher knife or chef’s knife but she knows it’s financially irresponsible to buy one. So Ava goes to the local knife maker and strikes up a deal with her charm, and one day Ava comes home with grocery bags from the market. They’re filled with fruits and vegetables and printer paper(?) Ava says that that’s one way to test a knife’s sharpness and presents a very beautiful, very expensive chef’s knife to Beatrice.
