im the person who brought this silly ship into kav's life and now we can't stop talking about it!! (OOPSIE!!) i do art, and writing and sometimes poetry but that's like very very rare. BUT!! what you will see here will be a mixture of me and kav's crazy CRAZY imagination through art and fanfiction!

i can't remember the last time I haven't been properly obsessed with anything since I had a 3 year long hyperfixation on Unus Annus, and the rest has been a very long switching between old ones and new ones!!! im very weird.

i hope that this blog goes far because capvers has engulfed me and kav entirely, and we can't escape it (help).

im also very interested in history (ww2 specifically), so like I'll use every every single excuse to talk about it so don't even like cry at the sight of my silly little rambles. (Though if you want to see those they'll be on my main acc)

im the victim of the storm that was approaching (ashley) and now I cant stop being struck by capvers brainstorm lightnings

I'm also a big fan of Pokemon, specifically the subway masters and the b/w games, (really really big fan of) kubzscouts, kitchen nightmares (solely bc of the admin of the kitchen nightmares yt account), metro railways/rapid transit and others I can't really remember

I do art and writing too, but I never post my writings, im not good neither does my artstyle support capvers HELP. but I do share my ideas of capvers au's to ashley.

coincidentally I too am verrrry interested in history (specifically british, germany, ww1/ww2). I go by it/they but ashley will refer to me as he/him just because I said so in didord hhdjsjdj and I probably will call ashley "captain ashley" because it funny

OK SO I FOUND A CONCEPT I MADE UP LIKE AGES AGO FOR A TD HIGHSCHOOL AU BUT LIKE. i made it scottish because that’s the only school system i’m used to,,,

i would spend time in computing class typing away in a google doc (literally titled ‘total drama mental illness’) instead of doing any coding…

beth and lindsay chose french because they always wanted to go to paris.

jo is in tyler and eva’s and advanced higher pe class even though she’s a year below and should be doing nat 5s.

cody chose art for gwen. he didn’t end up with her, however, because she took advanced higher and he only took higher. cody cried when he discovered this.

trent’s dad forced him to take accounting.

cody, trent, justin and harold formed the drama brothers when they were assigned to work on a project in music together in s3. they’re all in the same AH class.

all of gen 1 are in the same form class. chris is their form teacher.

noah, ellody, courtney and emma are all key members of the student council.

izzy has accidentally set fire to the entire school twice.

sanders from ridonculous race is the headmistress because i refuse to beleive that sanders and macarthur are the same age as gen characters and because she’s better fit for this than a police job.

blaineley is a drama teacher.

kitty is an s3 in this au, while gen 1 is in s5.

izzy and duncan are the two pupils with the most detentions and suspensions. miraculously, neither of them have ever been expelled.

the lunch tables are separated by form classes.

owen takes business because he thought it would help him in his future endeavours of making a cookie business.

(so i had to take away a few of the things i wrote due to general stupidity of them or i just didn’t agree with those things anymore. i also did a little ‘teacher’s opinions’ thing that i will share if people want it? (but i doubt that). uhhh yeah basically i turn everything into an au. might make a post about orphans au, i dunno)

sander was too money maker and we've seen him three times in kato and yasmina season, don't think wtfock cares about that or what public wants.

Firstly you all know that was not the original plan. Covid happened and screwed up everything. DS was also filming other projects during s4. Herbots was filming ritual in s5. Firstly we got lots of Sobbe in wtfockdown and that would have never happened if it wasn't for covid. It's kinda of a season but not. But we gots lots of Sander clips in that season more then I feel we would have gotten in original s4. Also Taurus Sander will never not surprise me. We didn't get them in s4 because we all know that season was never meant to exist. Also I am happy we didn't see sobbe much in that season cause it's awful.

Sobbe was also meant to have a whole arc in s5 but they scrapped it for reasons unknown.

To be fair I would say wtfockdown was sorta the amount of narrative building we would have got in an original s4. Considering how bad the writing in s4/5 got I am cool with what we saw of sobbe. They were happy clams and that relieves me. They never really argued, broke up or had any drama aside from figuring out that sobbe a little kinky on zoom. hahahaha

Probably the statement within the TMA crossover - the second-person 'You're arguing again.' bit, etc. That was really hard to write, mainly because at first I didn't know what to do with a Thomas-POV TMA statement - I wrote the rest of the fic first, and filled in the statement at the very end.

I remember at one point I was considering, like... you know how in s5, Jon's statement start to take different formats and get abstract? Like the playscript one and the Stranger Poem and the one that's essentially a scientific gardener's notebook? I thought it'd be kind of funny if the statement in the Sanders Domain involved Jon reenacting a Sanders Sides episode, solo. Doing all the voices and sound effects and everything. That proved hard to write without it taking over the rest of the fic, so I ended up writing [waves hand] that, instead. I do like how it turned out.

Yeah because systemic oppression of queer communities for millennia means it’s understandable when members of those communities sometimes act out/react badly. Mailin has every privilege in the bag so of course flaws aren’t so easily forgiven

Hi anon! 🧇 Ngl I thought this ask was going to go in a different direction, one that was going to make me complain a lot more lmao.

I was talking about badly written seasons specifically. I'm not talking about queer characters (or any kind of minority characters actually) behaving badly. I love Isak and he was an asshole to like 95% of people he came across. Cris was also an asshole. Kieu My was a bystander to bullying and pulled some dick moves in s5 and s6. I hate to even put Ava in this paragraph, but when she had a personality, she didn't just exist to be Mailin's hypewoman, she had her own motives and pain that meant she didn't say "you go gurl!" to every stunt Mailin pulled. Lol of course members of oppressed communities aren't always precious angels, but we as a fandom give wayyyyyyyyy more leeway to white/light-skinned queer characters than we give cishet (or otherwise) characters of color.

We also give more leeway as a fandom to ASSUMED queer white characters, as we saw during s6 when the Druck social media team had to DEFEND Ava in youtube comments because commenters were massively siding with Mailin. And it wasn't just on youtube. Here on tumblr many people gave Mailin every benefit of the doubt even when Druck kept showing that she was more focused on coming across as the wokest person in the room, than on actually being a good friend to Ava and Fatou. And that was because even in s6, Mailin was assumed ace or sapphic or both. Same with pretty much every Sana/Vilde conflict. Vilde and remakes were given a lot of leeway because people thought she was sapphic. (And to be clear, I think a queer reading of Vilde makes a lot of sense. I'm not saying people are wrong for thinking Vilde is gay. I'm saying that because we/people think Vilde is gay, Vilde enjoyed a loyal fandom who defended her in fandom discourse.)

So if I'm fine with some queer characters behaving badly, why am I not okay with baby Robbe and Isi and whoever else? Well, because they're fictional characters first of all. Ideally, the character arc of a Skams main will be about ("you know what that is?") GROWTH. Isak was taken to task for pretty much every shitty thing he did, and eventually he learns to be more patient and generous (in his season anyway lol, s4 is a bit more complicated) as shown in week 10 when he's a completely different person to Vilde, and lets bygones be bygones with Emma. Likewise Cris was slapped across the face with the consequences of her actions until she made more efforts to understand the people around her and focused on giving them what they needed. Nora G realized that she'd been going through life thinking she had it all figured out, when abusive relationships are more complex than she thought looking at them from the outside. I do not think Robbe was given a character arc that addressed the bits the writers decided to add for funsies, like accusing Sander of abuse or the hate crime. Isi's redemption arc after bullying their childhood friend is, lmao, nonexistent. The love story with Sascha is perfunctory, Sascha and Lou were included because the season had too many poc as leading characters, and Sascha really only exists to make sad faces when Isi once again mistreats him. Then they're given a happy ending as well as the compulsory sex scene.

So you said Mailin's flaws aren't so easily forgiven, and I will say, depends on the viewer. If Mailin has every privilege in the bag, then Sporty Spice has one more. And yet I had to see on the tag a post about how op actually prefers Sporty to Mailin and thinks he's a more compelling character and his season would've been better. The thing is though, with this writing, Sporty would've been just as flat of a character and any storylines just as "how do you do fellow kids". But people like op would've loved it anyway because the actor is so cute. And there are plenty of people (see: youtube commenters circa s6) who still think Mailin is fucking great and think those that attack her are misogynists and "reverse racists" and "fake woke" and "looking for something to hate".

My conclusion being that of the post I already made. Eva Mohn also had pretty much every privilege in the bag, but her season was well written, her character arc made sense, her flaws were addressed, and the character (and by extension, the teens who Eva represented) were validated wherever she was right. And if Druck absolutely had to rob Ava of her well deserved season, the least they could've done was deliver a good Mailin season. And they didn't.

Edit: Also like I said on the tags to a reblog, I don't even place most of the blame on the writers. Q3 were also criticized for a bunch of issues in s3 and s4, but they decided to get educated, invite a diverse film's collective (Jünglinge) onboard and try to improve. And they weren't given the chance to complete this gen as they envisioned. If this bunch of writers, who are after all inexperienced, decide to improve and incorporate fan feedback, ZDF will likely get rid of them too. The problem is ZDF, and the writers are perhaps even more expendable than the cast at this point.

Did you like the finale?

I liked all the Malex bits (even though Alex was mysteriously healed off-screen instead of getting a handprint from Michael, Sanders didn't get to walk Michael down the aisle, and they decided that Clyde throwing everyone against random buildings multiple times was more important than Malex exchanging vows on camera 🙃), and considering that the episode wasn't written as a series finale (thus keeping some things for a potential S5), I feel like most things got wrapped up in a more or less satisfying way.

Also adored the moment of Shiri Appleby putting on the alien headband and whispering "fits like a glove". I’ve never watched it but thought it was a lovely nod to the OG show.

I did care very little for the rest tbh. I've only watched parts of S4, but from what I’ve seen, Clyde never was nearly as charismatic a villain as Jones was (all kudos to Nathan tbh, he really made Jones his own, and I wish they would've kept him for this season instead of introducing B & C), and especially the first 20 minutes of the episode were kinda boring.

(I mean, we all knew Clyde would be defeated and meet his maker, and that it would be Liz who'd do the honors, that's the formula of the show, after all. So, was it really necessary to waste precious screentime on him winning 5 more encounters with nothing but a flick of his wrist before he disintegrated? Oh well...).

I was also a bit sad that Greg wasn't there (they could've introduced a Maria/Greg breakup at the beginning of S4, then it wouldn't have been awkward for him to attend his brother's wedding, and her bonding with Dallas instead), but Isobel snuggling up to Kyle by the fire healed my wounded heart a little. <3

Anyway, my bbs are married now, and in the not-so-distant-future they’re going to be dads, and that’s really all I care about tbh. 🥰
