darling, I have tried to fix you
I can't count the times that I have kissed you
I never thought that when you built our home
you'd make it out of blood and bones
darling, one of us should go

It has occurred to me that new people in FatT fandom may not have read THE Samsam fanfiction! (In 2017, Austin Walker wrote a short story in @imperialhare’s mentions about Samot and Samothes in love and building the first library. It gets mentioned during the Gencon liveshow.) So here is the text, original source here:
“For a long time, Samothes and Samot connected on emotional and physical levels, but not intellectually. Samot’s love of letters did not preclude him from appreciating Samothes’ engineering work, but (despite his enthusiasm in talking about it) a new way to transport rocks from the mine to forge simply couldn’t hold the boy-king’s attention.
Until one day, Samot visited the Sun-Maker in his workshop and saw the mess of diagrams and papers scattered across work benches and scattered on the floor. With the lack of organization, it was a feat that Samothes built ANYTHING, let alone his divine creations.
After some light scolding, Samot offered his aid in helping Samothes devise a system for turning loose scraps and tossed aside ideas into something more useful. And so they built together a library--the first library, Samothes’ own.
On the final day of the work week, Samothes would visit his love there, and the two would go over all that the Artificer Divine had designed that week. Through this, Samot came to love not only his husband, but his husband’s brilliance.
As for Samothes, the library served a surprising function. Not only was it a repository for his old ideas, but by making them easy to cross-reference, it lead Samothes to entirely new lines of thinking. Like Samot Himself, the First Library became an endless source of inspiration for the crafter of the son.
Though....Perhaps the library’s most important function was not what Samot intended: The king-god saw clearly a new power of material knowledge, and his grip over information clenched more tightly than ever. Wherever two wise words were, Samothes realized, there were five more on their way. And the king god had seen what men did with seven wise words.”
