The African Buffalo is a beast of an animal. As part of the Big 5, these mammals are incredibly strong and massive in size. They can weigh anything between 300 and 850kg and are incredibly large. Whatsoever they only stand between 130-150cm due to their short legs. According to estimates a Buffalo is up to 4 times stronger than an Ox. A Bigbadaboom Elephant in #Pilanesberg National Park in South Africa🇿🇦, just northwest of Johannesburg. Compared to the heavyweights like #Kruger National Park, Pilanesberg sees much less visitors. As usual in South Africa, you can also do a self-drive, which means you don't have to book a guided safari or tour; you can simply use your own or rented vehicle to drive into the park at your own pace and try and find its free-roaming animals in their natural habitat. The animals I saw on this one day trip were Giraffes, Elephant, Wildebeest/Gnu, Zebras, Rhinoceros, and lots of Impala Antelopes besides tons of birds and Fowl. Unfortunately didn't see any Cheeetah, Lions and Hyena, which are present in the park as well.
