1. When you were little, what did you think you’d be when you grew up? Did your reality (or your future plans) come close to that?

I used to say I wanted to be two things, but for the life of me I can just remember I wanted to be a veterinarian (because what I actually wanted was to pet lots of cats and dogs and know everything I could about animals). But I’ve always known since I was a child that I love stories. I always wanted to tell stories--writing them, drawing them, things like that. I ended up becoming an English major, I’m currently working as a content editor and trying to keep on writing. A far cry from what I dreamed of, for sure, but I’m trying to adjust me and lil’ Wen’s dreams into the equation.

2. Do you think of yourself as an urban, suburban, or rural person?

A rural person. I’m from literally a hole in the southern part of the country. I am not as rural as some other folk I know and even grew up with (I missed out on lots of coming-of-age type adventures everyone had, for various reasons) but yeah, I’m from the countryside and I miss the trees and having a real yard and the pets and being able to laugh out loud without worrying about the neighbors listening.

3. Do you decorate with carefully matched pieces, or are you eclectic?

Er, I don’t usually decorate anything? As a kid I had a couple of posters. Now as a grown up I live in rented apartments I can’t modify much, but I have an assorted group of things that decorate the rooms: presents from loved ones, a couple of souvenirs, a couple of things I’ve bought because I liked them or were about something I like, and a couple of stolen-ish things I keep to remember times of my life. None of it makes sense besides “this is important to me somehow”.

4. Are you the photographer of your group/family, or do you always want to be in the photos?

Neither, I think. My mom used to take all our photos and my sister has taken up that mantle. I like being in photos but I hate suggesting I be in photos because I don’t want to push lol

5. Do your thoughts come to you in words (like conversations with yourself) or pictures (abstract, ideas, visions)?

There’s a never ending stream of dialogue within my own head that is very annoying and sometimes too loud. I can get very invested in daydreams so sometimes the images in my head get very clear and I forget I’m sitting/standing there, but the dialogue never stops. Everything makes sounds.

6. Do you have changing weather seasons where you live, or a relatively continuous climate? Do you wish you lived in the opposite?

I live in the tropics and we get mild weather changes in the sense that it either rains, it doesn’t rain as much, or it’s very fucking hot and it doesn’t rain for weeks. I like it fine, I like being able to have a good sunshine bath whenever I want/need. But I’d like to experience autumn and snow at least once.

(If you live where that happens and would like to offer me your couch for a couple of months so I can do that hit me up lol)

7. When you don’t have obligations, what is your ideal, natural time to get up? To go to bed?

Get up after 6 am and go to bed whenever I feel sleepy. Now that I’m a bit older this usually happens 10-11 pm to 7-8am-ish. It used to be very different. But I need at least 8 hours of sleep or I’m not functioning properly. Sadly I almost always pull 5-7 hours due to my work schedule.

8. Do you cook? Bake? Or do you prefer to have someone else to that?

I love cooking and baking, and I still have much to learn. I prefer to have someone else wash the dishes though, lol!

9. Which way do you put your toilet paper? Up and over so it hangs in front? Or dangling below? Does it bother you if it’s done the other way?

Hanging in front, whenever we do that sort of thing. It’s closer to reach that way, and it annoys me just a bit when it's not.

10. If you had a lot of money, what would be the first selfish, frivolous thing you would do with it? (Not for other people, not for practical purposes, but fun and just because you want to.)

Oooh probably booking a trip somewhere I really wanted to go to, like France or Norway or Holland or Greece. But also buying myself things I always wanted to have, lots of art and lessons of different types (art, riding, fighting) and books. There’s a ton of books I’d like to have in physical format but they require me to buy them from abroad and that’s a lot of money I can’t spend.

Wait this said frivolous but all of this means a lot to me so, idk. Maybe buy more Converse shoes. I’m of the opinion that if it matters to you then it can’t be that frivolous, right?

Get to Know Me: 10 Facts

One: I also have a baby face. I always get mistaken as a student and whenever I tell people my age they’re always :O! Sadly, my sister hates this as she always gets mistaken as the older one.

Two: My baby face and the fact that I smile most of the time helps me in my current job. It’s in the realm of investigating. People always code me as a nice person and open up to me. So I am able to get a lot of information. (This is all legal btw, don’t go thinking that I do bad stuff.)

Three: Prior to this job I was working with marketing and sales. I handled finance for a multinational consumer goods company.

Four: I fell of a boat once. I don’t know how to swim.

Five: I HATE pineapples on pizza. My family loves it. Guess who’s stuck removing pineapple off her pizza? :(

Six: I live in a tropical country so I’m amazed whenever I experience spring and autumn. I haven’t experienced winter (and snow!) so that’s going in my goals for next year (or let’s hope I can do it by the end of the year).

Seven: Favorite dessert is frozen yogurt. Best frozen yogurt is Pinkberry. FIGHT ME.

Eight: Best weekend hangout is my bed. I love my bed.

Nine: I am a relatively new Reylo. Meaning I didn’t ship it after TFA. After the TLJ trailer, I realized Lucasfilm was setting-up and bringing the Kylo/Rey dynamic front and center. I went on Tumblr (after a very long hiatus) and searched for meta. I was converted. Bless.

Ten: I love cats.
