My fellow S.A.M.S peeps forgive me, for I have sinned……….i never got that attached to Solar…..

I DONT KNOW WHY I DIDNT!!! HE SEEMS LIKE A CHARACTER I WOULD ABSOLUTELY ADORE IN EVERY ASPECT, BUT I JUST NEVER GOT SUPER INTO HIM AND I DONT KNOW WHY!!!!!

don’t get me wrong, I like/liked Solar, but he never got into my top 3 AND I DONT KNOW WHY DAMN IT!!!

It’s not that I don’t want to like the same character that everyone else likes, because I love Lunar, and we all know how we feel about lunar. And it’s not that I can’t get unhealthy attached to characters in this show, because I absolutely love Castor and Pollux (tho that might just be my inner space science fiction loving child screaming inside of me), and I would feel like my heart had been thrown off a cliff if they ever died. SO I JUST DONT KNOW WHY I DONT LOVE HIM!!!!!!

So I got confused at first when the timestamp people in the comments would specifically timestamp when Solar came into frame and say: “oh hi Solar!” Or “oh hey look, it’s Solar!” Because I liked him, but at the end of the day I never really saw him as more than a compromise with the fans on a “eclipse redemption arc”.

And I felt bad for Solar when he died, and especially bad for sun and moon after he died, but what made me mainly feel bad was the effect that his death had on others, rather then being one of the ones who was effected by his death. And I knew the fans would be sad, BUT IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I HEAR THROUGH THE GRAPE VINE THAT ON THE HELL SITE KNOWN AS TWITTER.COM THAT DAVIS WAS GETTING DEATH THREATS OVER A FICTIONAL CHARACTER.

LIKE……. Y A L L . . . I KNEW YALL LIKE SOLAR, BUT FOR A FEW PEOPLE THREATEN A CREATOR WITH DEATH OVER HIS OWN CHARACTER IS A MARIANA TRENCH KINDA LOW…….

So I know that this confession was supposed to be so I could express my confusion about me not liking Solar in this online fandom confession booth, but I’d also like to say as someone with a clear mind and no bias towards Solar: let Davis do whatever the fuck he wants. I know that you guys really want him back, but at the end of the day, Davis birthed this show with his own hips, so unless it’s genuine criticism of the show, let the man do whatever the fuck he wants with it and not peer pressure him into bringing Solar back.

Spoilers for S.A.M.S. episode.

I know exactly why Sun told Lunar to shut up... Oooo... This is so bad... so so bad.... He told Lunar to shut up when the latter said that he knows that Moon wasn't really comfortable with killing....

Bare with me here...

When Sun and Moon were still sharing body and Moon started to get affected by kill code and started killing innocent people, Sun kept Moon in their head because he didn't know what else he could do to stop his brother from killing. Sun definitely was thinking the same thing Lunar has said here, that Moon wasn't comfortable with killing and that he didn't really like killing innocents.

But I think... because we know Sun has really low self-esteem from the beginning... I think that Sun at some point started to doubt himself and his intentions. Maybe he didn't try hard enough to help Moon. Moon still was able to kill innocents when they were switching. Maybe Sun let that happen. Maybe he really didn't try to stop Moon at all.

And when Sun and Moon separated and July 16th incident happened it only strengthen and proved those fears to Sun. But at the time Sun tried to deny that he was always part of the problem, that he is the one who is actually bad.

And then when Eclipse let himself to be known and he did all those horrible things and he gaslighted Sun into thinking that he is the one who is horrible, Sun started to doubt himself and his own intentions even more. Fights with Moon also proved him that he isn't helping Moon and he's making things worse, actually.

We don't know what was happening to Sun when he was trapped in his own head in October. Sun never said anything to anyone. He was at the point when he realised that he shouldn't talk about his problems because he would only be a burden to everyone.

We saw at that time that Sun became more and more desperate to help Moon. But he realised that he's incapable of being helpful. He's too dumb, he knows nothing and... no matter what he does or says, things gets worse.

He thinks that he's responsible for Eclipse, Bloodmoon and KC. That's why he went to that damned dimention where him and Moon were merged. Like he said, he wanted to see how it would be if he didn't exist. Moon misunderstood Sun's intentions which made Sun blame himself even more.

And Lunar never said Sun that he didn't cause July 16th incident and he never talked about his trauma caused by Eclipse.

Sun attacked computer because he thought that computer was basically saying that Sun is a shit brother. Sun breaking computer led to KC. Another thing that Sun is responsible for.

There is also this issue that fans on numerous occations were saying that Sun is acting like Eclipse. Sun got more angry recently because he can barely handle his trauma. And how creator was treating him and Moon made everything worse. Moon seeing Sun being more angry and saying that Sun doesn't act like himself only strengthen the fear in Sun that he is just like Eclipse. And the fact that he killed Bloodmoon but thought that it'll only hurt him because BM survived the fight with Eclipse made Sun lose it. It proved him that he's not only like Eclipse, he's just bad.

And Lunar saying that Sun is like Eclipse and only now he told Sun that Eclipse also hurt him definitely made everything worse.

Now Sun went all alone without any weapon to find and kill Eclipse. Sun does no longer care about himself. If he'll die during his quest, let be it. Because he caused all the problems in the first place. It'll be better if he died. Everyone would be better without him always ruining everything.

Heck, I even doubt that he'll kill Eclipse. I'm afraid that the one Sun truly wants to get rid of is he, himself. Because he's now like Eclipse or maybe he even thinks that he's worse than Eclipse. If he sees himself as Eclipse and want to get rid of Eclipse.... it leads to only one solution.

But on a brighter note I think that Eclipse might want to help Moon. This time for real. Or that's what I think about Eclipse.

And of course Sun only repeated what Moon said to him in their first fight. That he should grow up. That's why Sun said all those things to Lunar.

I'll be shocked if Sun won't try to harm himself or even kill himself.

Earth feels a bit odd in the sun and moon show…

A side from the gender obvious difference with her being one of the three girls on the show (earth Pollux and nebula) she seems a bit….misplaced so to say…..im not saying that she’s weird or bad or anything, I love earth in all her Barbie loving glory! But….she just feels odd……and I think I know why that is.

Earth doesn’t know true suffering.

She HAS suffered, but she doesn’t know what it’s like for your life to truly be a living hell.

Everyone else on the show is there because of suffering, and is in this mess because they wanted to find some way to escape it.

Sun and moon? Separated because of the suffering they had while together. Eclipse? Is constantly hunting for the star in hopes that he can make a life where he’ll never be alone or uncounted for again. Lunar? Helped eclipse take over the channel in hopes of a happy life as a family with eclipse. After that? helped sun and moon take down eclipse for the same reason. Even solar. While you might think that the reason he fits in so well is because he’s basically just a redeemed eclipse, and while that probably contributed to that, the whole reason he came there was to escape his moon and live a happier life.

All of these people have been promised a happier life, but ended up in a worse situation then before.

And you may be wondering “but what does this have to do with earth?”

She was never there because of suffering. She just came there because her dad told her to.

And you might be saying “oh but earth probably suffered when she was with the creator!” But you forget WHY she’s so sensitive about him. (Well one because of forgor) but secondly because she’s actually been treated pretty well. We’ve seen how much of a master manipulator the creator is, and if he’s smart, then he’d probably know that mistreating earth will only lead to problems. So what does he do? He keeps her happy and safe and most importantly, naïve.

So I think that the reason why earth sticks out like a sore thumb is because she doesn’t know what it’s like to suffer (well at least suffer to the s.a.m.s standard.) she was given everything on a Silver platter right up until she went to go live with sun and moon. AND EVEN THEN SHE HAS THE UPPER HAND IN THIS SITUATION.

She was programmed with therapy stuff in mental health HELL. So it’s odd to see her handle such traumatic situations so well, when we’ve gotten so used to seeing characters completely break when something terrible happens. And I’m not jumping on the “earth is a marry sue” train, she’s definitely had her idiotic and dicky moments. But the fact that she Handels it all so well ironically makes her the most robotic in the show.

So basically what I’m trying to say is that while the other characters have been to hell and back and still show scars from it, earth was basically given a “get out of jail free card” and actually knows how to deal with that kinda shit, and is almost the exact same personality wise as the day she debuted.
