As for what "Anything Goes" refers to: Depending on what parts of fandom you tend to hang out in, you may have noticed, over the past few years, a lot more harassment and stigma over dark fiction than there used to be. In light of that, this gift exchange was created to be a place where that sort of content is explicitly allowed (Note that this does not include promotion of IRL bigotry within such content). That doesn't mean this exchange is only for dark fiction, though. Anything goes, from the fluffiest genfic to the most twisted R-rated creations.

looking at gman models its interesting how much of an impression the hl2 models leaves but then how insanely different and familiar the hla model is.... i mean, all the hl games have been in very different technological eras and its clear. each gman model is a testament to that. but when i played hl2 i could really feel that character they were aiming for, even in its limitations that model have a clear idea in mind. and yet... the hla model.... idk man, its so GOOD and its crazy to see how well they translated that character yet again, but then also seeing all the details of everything that the new era of games brings to the model. hes so goddamn real. where as before i look at that previous model and like i know its him but i also feel like he was more of a character envisioned and translated to a limited medium. hla gman i look at and its like... yes its that character i know but also, my god, he could be a real guy huh. we truly are at this place where im seeing this clearly fictional man in a near real space.

Portal Drawtober day four, Portal Gun reimagined.

I like to think about gloves, similar to how gravity gun became russels in hla. Those portal gloves won't create flat portals, but a portal spheres similar to ones seen in hl1 and that one physics' bug that happens when you shoot an open door with a portal gun in p1.

started replaying hla and honestly dont think om ever going to br over russell just,,, having doenloaded the entire internet, like even in 2003 there was a lot of it and storage vessels werr so much smaller in bytes but larger jn size, where he keep it all in his aprtment, has hr been off the ckmbine radar since the beginnjng in order to keep essentially all of the internet in his possedsion, hows he kept the tech from degrafing over time? its not like modern tech has developed by hl2 is he using ckmbine storage now? how does he have it connected to his one computer? how much porn does he have?

I take any opportunity to gush about this stupid bureaucrat!

His weird breathing is due to him not being accustomed to Earth's atmosphere. This is due to him being a shu'ulathoi- they're depicted in-game as wearing breathing masks as they can't breathe Earth's atmosphere, and the scrapped Airex levels in the HL2 beta expand on this.

He probably doesn't need to sleep or eat, but does so anyway because it passes the time.

Expanding on the shu'ulathoi theory, he's probably pretty young by their standards, even if he is in the visage of an old man. He's quite literally only 20 years old.

He can be quite self-destructive in pursuit of his goals. In HLA, Russell states that whatever's in the Vault "...really hates the Combine", so we know that rage is a pretty big motivator for him. An easter egg in HLA also depicts a suited man holding a gun to his head with crosses over his eyes, so I've sort of taken these two ideas and mashed them together: G-Man will do anything to destroy the Combine, even if it kills him.
