can I just say how much I love when you edit your icons so Ed has different hairstyles? It makes me day lol

|| Well he doesn’t just wear his hair in one hair style all the time. In camping trip from hell his hair has been down (and messy) for a while and when he cooks he wears it up in a bun. Sometimes he’s lazy and doesn’t wear it up at all (his birthday) and well it’s not really that much more effort to do it. I’ve edited quite a few hair down icons for upcoming posts with Camping Trip because I know they will be of use. His hair is down a lot more than people realize so I needed icons for that.

I’m happy you like that little detail. I’ve edited icons to match other threads too like my Pride Within thread with Creepiitus - Ed is blindfolded in it due to being possessed by Selim, and I’ve been known to clean speech bubbles out, edit back in missing parts of his face, and clean up his face if it’s extra bloody but I like the expression - or vice versa. Ed’s super expressive so I work with what I got.

My son has a very long mane of gold and he likes to do lots of things with it. ❤

I KNOW. I’ve always imagined Ed had pieces that just wouldn’t come out. I think there’s some screenshots or promo art that shows he’s got bolts pretty far down his ribcage and like... those are there to stay.

But geez, it must have taken like a dozen people to pry him away form Al long enough to have anything done with it. “I’m fine!” Ed declares as he walks around with metal shrapnel in a shoulder and a giant hole in his arm.

First impression: oh boy it’s hard to think of what my first impression of Alphonse was at 17… probably “is this a robot?”

Impression now: insert Al’s lil monologue comparing himself to Ed when Mei says “you probably look just like him then” — Al is just… so good but so snarky

Favorite moment: ALPHONSE HOLDING HIS OWN AGAINST PRIDE AND KIMBLEE

Idea for a story: uh well this is part of a bigger story idea i have but Alphonse becomes the ambassador to Xing during Mustang’s presidency and does a smashing good job encouraging friendship between Amestris and Xing

Unpopular opinion: …i don’t even know what opinions of Al I have that would be unpopular?

Favorite relationship: i am a sucker for AlMei you guys

Favorite headcanon: Alphonse kills it at alkahestry once he trains with Mei in Xing (it wouldn’t surprise me if he wouldn’t have been able to perform alkahestry in the armor because of his lack of a body? Fu says sth about Alphonse’s life force imprint being weird when they first meet, right?)

I think a lot of my underestimation was just due to the fact that this is a zine where So Much of it is available for free online so I figured there’d be less interest just based on that, but clearly I was very wrong! XD
