what are the galaxy fams music tastes, in your headcanons? ive always felt like illusion/reality would like melanie martinez's songs, and terrorizes the rest of the fam with it (except for ele, he vibes w it)
ALSO, opinions on genderfluid or nonbinary reality/illusion and memory headcanons? love ur fic btw !!!
Memory's favorite music is metal, which I talked about before here.
Illusion's taste would be "techno instrumental." I don't know the genre's name. But you know the music that was playing during Illusion's arc in the series? That's the type of music Illusion would listen to. He probably plays that music to relax while he's doing housework.
For Time's study music, I think he likes the sounds of hundreds of analog clocks ticking simultaneously. That sound stresses the hell out of Illusion and Memory, but it’s peak ambience for Time. But outside of study, I think Time would listen to retro video game soundtracks!
As the overseer of dimensions who has listened to more types of music than you can ever imagine, Elemental doesn’t have a preference. Instead, he just has episodes where he craves for a certain type of music. But with no proper library, he would have to search countless of dimensions to find one with the music genres that hits that mark. It's like scrolling through the Internet trying to find that one song you vaguely remember but so badly need to listen to right now, but ~~cosmic~~
Galaxy and Void both love shitpost/meme music. Void listens to it in secret so no one knows. If Galaxy ever finds out, he'll say, "*EXCITED GASP* I love that song too!!"
Void would then say, "You like it because you mindlessly like everything! I like it because it's legitimately deep but only a few people understand that! We are not the same!"

I can't stop thinking of the man who sings in the song 'The Horror And The Wild' as either Illusion or Memory's voice claim. For Illusion, it just makes him sound older but somehow more chaotic. For Memory, it just makes him sound more like a little dapper guy (even though i hc him to have a british accent).

I love the voice claim ideas. It made me imagine that after spending so many years with Memory, Illusion picked up his vocal mannerism and sounded more like Memory as a result, and that mental image is sweet to me.

i refuse to acknowlage illusion/realitys canon voice, instead i think of his voice like the male singer of zydrate anatomy or the singer of romance is boring.
hes silly like that, he would like that type of music.
BTW LOVE UR FANFIC!! amazing read, honestly. if you can give me a range for Illusions age btw? Because some memes in this blog have implied hes a teen, but others/the fanfic imply hes a young adult.

And yes, he would enjoy that type of music, when he isn't listening to that synth/techno style of instrumental music.
He's 20 years old at the start of RRFF. The fanfic calls him a young adult (which I meant to mean 18-23). I know some memes imply he was a teenager. It's actually because I made those memes while I was still internally debating, "should this guy be an adult or a teenager?" before finally deciding that he would be an adult.

This is a question mainly revolving around Illusion and an AU that goes on with him that I just thought up.
What if he isnt from Galaxies main legacy, as in his children? It would sort of make sense. He doesnt look like Galaxy or most of the children that Galaxy has- silver hair, dialated eyes, just being short in general. He doesnt even act like Galaxy, or any of the known Galaxy Family members. If he was a secret. Like a secret of someone who decends more directly from their grandfather/Galaxy-Void may have had a son created before he split apart?

That's a really good point! He doesn't even look like a Steve, and the fact that no one questions that he's a Steve or part of Galaxy's family could be another illusion in the works.
The theory of Illusion being a direct descendant of Origin Galaxy intrigues me, because Origin Galaxy is part of the Colors, who are the most powerful entities in the universe. And they can warp reality without anyone noticing. That sounds kinda similar to Illusion 👀

I really want to know Sabres reaction to discovering that Galaxies whole family is the embodiment of a fruitcup.
Also, do we ever get any of their confirmed gender identities, or Galaxy and Elementals sexualities? I need to know so I dont mess it up in case I make a fanfiction.

I don’t think I ever officially stated their genders, but I’ll accept any excuse to gush about my LGBT headcanons X)
(fyi, although I make my headcanons ‘canon’ within the RRFF AU, I’m totally chill if you guys have different headcanons for these characters!)
Galaxy's sexuality is pan! He also uses mspec. I would like to mention that one day, Galaxy appeared at a diner with sunglasses and a trenchcoat and said, "I am the health mspec-tor. I must mspec the quality of your food, so please give me your finest meal. [eats an entire pot of parmesan noodles] You pass. Good job." (He proceeded to walk off into the sunset. The very next day, the diner's staff found their diner blessed with gold.)
Elemental's sexuality is gay.
For gender headcanons, I only have them for Galaxy, Illusion, Alex, and Elemental.
Galaxy is agender.
Illusion is transmasc and nonbinary.
Alex is a trans woman.
Elemental is a cis man. I would like to mention that he's a cis man who gained gender enlightenment by listening to trans people, and that inspired Elemental to personally present as gnc. After learning that the rules of gender are arbitrary, and the rules of what makes a man manly are arbitrary too, Elemental decided to look more fabulous because he wanted to and there was no rule that should stop him from that want.
Feel free to make gender headcanons for the other characters I don’t have gender headcanons for, and again, I’m chill if you have different headcanons for these 4 characters!

i need some good illusion steve and alex angst (they have had like two interactions together but they r so peaceful mother and chaotic son duo /pos)
I don't have any major plans for Illusion and Alex's dynamic in Act 3, but I’m so glad you enjoyed what RRFF has offered of these two!
I imagine Alex has complicated feelings about Illusion's angst. She knows that his frustration is valid, but she also feels conflicted knowing that most of his angst comes from his troubled relationship with her best friend, Galaxy Steve. She has seen relationships broken beyond repair, but she has also seen pained relationships heal once stressors and misunderstandings are dealt with. So...yeah!

How strong is the Galaxy Fam compared to normal Steves? Whos the strongest, whos the weakest?? Also I love your fanfic!!! Amazing work.

I don't have a quantifiable comparison of their strengths (like if they’re six times stronger than a normal Steve or something), but they are way stronger than the Color Steves, for sure.
Illusion is the weakest due to being the youngest. His power still needs time to grow. For strongest, I'd say either Time Steve or Galaxy Steve.

Everyone loves the idea of Memory having a younger brother.
I am thriving off of the idea that Memory had an older sister that he didnt know about, and Galaxy let it slip. Because blame Galaxy./j
