the only reason a togiri hannibal au doesn't fully work is because there is no world where byakuya would or could be qualified to work as a therapist. on the other hand i am fully inclined to believe kyoko could go full will graham, sweaty delirium and all, when the right circumstances call for it
#togiri#danganronpa thh#a togiri hannibal au could only work if. byakuya was just a rich eccentric#and all the victims happened to be other rich people who had ties to the togami conglomerate#therefore requiring kyoko to meet with him from time to time. during which he develops an infatuation with her#and starts trying to woo her through long-winded flowery prose on the nature of death and her role in delivering justice#meanwhile she hasnt slept right in three days and has been wearing the same shirt for two#this au would require suspension of disbelief that 1. kyoko would work with law enforcement and 2. byakuya can cook for himself#if i wanted to squeeze tonaegiri in here then makoto would have to be like. the equivalent of alana bloom ig?#he's kyoko's casual friend who happens to have ties with byakuya bc he somehow managed to interview to be his secretary once#and got all the way to the last round where he was talking to byakuya personally before he figured he wasn't qualified to work here#both byakuya and kyoko could be will graham but kyoko could also be a better hannibal than byakuya#grown-up kyoko with no real ties to anyone would be ratty and a little fucked up. she should get to own a million dogs in a nowhere shack

"Allies or Enemies" by the Crane Wives
#song of the day#today class we will be discussing a tale of human suffering#so I mentioned yesterday how 'Slow Ride' by Foghat was the song of the day because of how the first ninety seconds were continuous-looping#alright yeah so now imagine me sitting shotgun as we drive half an hour to the movie theater#(to see Godzilla Minus One. it was bitchin I do very very recommend)#and the boys are discussing the latest construction along our highway#which has been a topic of great consideration for me actually#--I had a thought about erosion patterns and groundworks the other day and I went on a whole research spiral#downloaded some guy's doctoral research and all. we know how the research spirals go--#anyway this is a topic I would have loved to weigh in on!#but instead every mental width of band I had was dedicated to my subconscious' dogged insistence#that the assonance and emphasis and rhythm of 'are we allies or enemies' and 'slow ride / take it easy' were similar enough#that I should be able to find a way to match them up to one another's backings#so the boys were like 'Alexis what do you think of those pylons' and I was trying so so so hard to answer#(I think they're moving the I-95 interchange ramps entirely and adding a new lane over--y'all can't see me point. it's over there though)#I was trying so hard to answer but it was like a little cartoon man trying to climb up a rockslide#except the man is my answer about the bridges for the interstate ramps#and all the comically round rocks ponking off his forehead were different ways a person might be able to scrunch and/or stretch syllables#to fit the choruses of these two songs over one another. 'are we slow ride guitar sounds death of mee'#anyway yeah! I've got all these little focusing tricks painstakingly cultivated over three decades of ADD and living with little siblings#and now we know they can all every single one be absolutely obliterated by the lightest application of a single classic Foghat song

yknow I play a lot of hard games but usually not "took 73 days to beat" hard
#aka gUESS WHO JUST BEAT RAIN WORLD. AFTER TWO AND A HALF MONTHS#rain world#peridots-nonsense#i got into subterranean like a week ago but have been mostly hanging around by the worm grass shelter for 20 cycles#i went to every region (even if i only spent a couple minutes total in drainage lol). met every echo besides the farm arrays one.#got every passage achievement (every one besides dragon slayer/wanderer in outskirts and industrial within my first few weeks of playing)#and never used a passage anyway. three months!!! rounding up a little! for a game that can be beat in less than 20 cycles.#dh was twelve days (though i'd played through part of it years earlier). stray was seven hours. insc was only a couple days.#i've done two separate ultkill playthroughs so not sure which to count but both were less than a week#hk was actually just over a month. may 24 to june 26th. which is still so much less than this. bftes about a month too#i remember how even just a week into rw i felt like i'd been playing it forever...even just a week in i knew it would be one of Those Games#where i wish i could play it over for the first time again. boy was i right. it almost felt like a second life at times#i loved just running around in certain areas building up stores of food and spears and vulture masks#(what comes to mind are / HI_S02 / CC_S05 / SI_S04 / SB_S07. the first two felt like home!)#(* up in the sixth tag i missed the friend. i was relishing in hubristic bloodlust especially in CC so i didn't have much time for taming)#if the tags here seem particularly incoherent i only falsely apologize. i'm just. reminiscing. i don't think i can do anything else#my heart was pounding as soon as i reached the depths. after 325 cycles. 116 hours. two and a half months. it's over.#maybe a little dramatic but hey it took up an invariable portion of my life for a fifth of a year so. it's just interesting#anyway. a standard ''i took too long on this and now the sun's rising'' goodbye to you tag-wanderer

A customer at work recognised me from when i worked halloween and im honestly not sure how to think about that perception
#and the amount of customers that dont have specific enough orders for me to remember them as regulars?#omg there's so many ppl who i look at and think 'i served you earlier in the week'#i love working early shifts tho i love the same group of like 10-15 customers i see in the early hours#the guy in the decorated car and 2000s music going home after a night shift? i miss you#the guy and his apparent ex girlfriend? he used to come round in his dressing gown for two flatbreads and two cappuccinos#(he comes more often now in his AA van and it humours me that is see him both before and during his shift)#and and and!!!! my favourite guy at the moment!! regular latte and three sugars! always pays exact and we have a lil chat#he came by twice in one day because he was bored so we hung out a bit

i can't sleep and i want to fight youtube
#been seeing posts abt them targeting adblockers and now specifically firefox users#and i ended up thinking about and going down the mental rabbit hole of how they've obfuscated info over time#like back when they added ads to yt they used to show where they were in the video timeline w a lil yellow thing#and it was only one ad. that you could immediately skip if you wanted#over time they made it so you had to wait to skip. and then they made some ads unskippable#and then they made it two ads. i swear at one point i had seen Three but that was shortlived or i may be mistaken#but i never realized when it happenee but they did at some point remove those ad indicators. now they just#they just Happen. and a lot of the time they're placed in breaks in the video but not always#but that's not the problem. the problem is they used to give us that heads-up that ads were coming#and now they Don't. they just appear and we Have to watch them at least a little bit#its like the same shit with the dislike bar. that was incredibly relevant information that just got Axed one day#its info that they have and they had provided it for you before but now they decided hey. :> its not important#when it really fucking is actually#i got particularly incensed yesterday when trying to watch a video where theyre playing a card game#the rounds are really short and last like a minute each. and in between each round they would play ads#i only know this because my phone does not have an adblocker#i don't like it much in general but that was a truly egregious experience and i legit could not watch it. i stopped entirely#THIS is precisely why i use an adblocker and that is what youtube wants to push onto you#it makes me really mad just remembering what once was and how it's gotten so bastardized at this point#fuck google tbh the only thing i condone of theirs is gmail and drive#and its a shame that they have such a monopoly on internet video hosting that there is no alternative anyway#mrah im tired and angry

The LotRO fandom on Tumblr ought to have creative weeks like some other fandoms do; a week with themed days where people make art or fics or other transformative work to suit the theme and post them on the day in question. I love that format for content creation challenges; it's low-pressure, fairly casual, doesn't threaten burnout like month-long challenges do, and the short format of it means we could have multiple events throughout the year with different themes, a must-have for a piece of media as big as LotRO.
#lotro#one event like idk an October challenge just couldnt hope to encapsulate everything#but yeah im thinking there could be a week with OC themed prompts#a week with festival and event themed prompts#a week for epic quests and a week for side quests#maybe a couple of appreciation weeks like female character appreciation or Ranger appreciation or something#a week for different factions#and like multiple prompts for each day just to keep things super casual#one that though is that often these fandom weeks just drop the prompts on the first day and i would like to drop them in advance#like two or three weeks in advance#maybe a whole month just for the round numbers#im definitely thinking of throwing out my own week but maybe not until like mid to late January#got the redwall midwinter gift exchange to moderate so you know#busy
