Ballister and Nimona's Fight/Betrayal Scene

Ok, I haven't seen anyone mention this but I noticed it during a rewatch of Nimona about this scene:

With this scene, most people assume Nimona is hurt because Ballister began pulling his sword out on instinct at her, which is part of it, but it ALSO relates to an earlier scene after they record the Director's confession. After the recording, the following exchange happens:

Nimona: "Oh, don't forget your sword boss."

Ballister: "Eh, she can keep it. I don't fight for her anymore."

Ballister leaves his sword behind, explicitly telling Nimona that it's because he doesn't fight for her anymore. So imagine being Nimona, being confronted by the guy you call your best friend, he had just called you his sidekick a bit ago, you two have a fight over a misunderstanding from 1000 years ago. He starts saying things he surely doesn't mean, but you're both aggravated and you try to make him call you the thing you hate being called, he knows he can't say it, you need to hear it. You both had arguments in the past but you two got through it, but this is different, this is the first time since the first meeting he almost calls you a "monster," that and the scroll that he somehow got a hand of show his trust in you waning. If he truly wants to end things with you, you need to hear it directly from him.

"No matter what we do, we can't change the way people see us."

"You changed the way you see me, didn't you?"

Ballister pulls out his sword, the one he left behind with the Director, the one he is now pulling with the same trained instinct that his lover had that got his own arm chopped off.

Where did he get the sword...? Why did he get his sword? If he has his sword, does that mean he betrayed her for the Director?

And then Todd comes in. Of course she's going to assume the absolute worst. And when she has her breakdown, I noticed some of the lines said by Ballister are a bit different. Correct me if I'm wrong, but either the delivery was more condescending/hostile or the line was altered a bit from the original it was taken from. It shows her remembering things worse than they were, especially because of Ballister's betrayal, maybe he never changed the way he saw her.
