He scoffs at his friend's text messages, ignoring completely what the other said.
"So, Childe." Xinyan stood up sighing. "Is this girl even real? Or are we delaying our practice for nothing?"
"Just wait a bit more! She's going to arrive soon, I promise." Childe pleads.
"What? Is she busy with her homework?" Xinyan laughs, trying to mess around with her friend's sour mood.
Childe didn't even bother answering to the woman's teasing, he knew it wasn't a good idea to tell his sister about his girlfriend. Hu Tao being a major gossip expert shouldn't be trusted with his secrets, since she quickly told everyone about it.
"Since we are all here, don't forget about Rosaria's party tonight. It's important for the band." Kaeya interrupts Childe's thoughts. "We need to promote our band."
"We are going to Rosaria's? Didn't you two break up like, two weeks ago?" Thoma asks.
"Whatever! We are going." Kaeya pinches the bridge of his nose. "Though I'm not sure if I want to see her at all."
Ding-dong!
"She's here, everyone! I will be right back!" Childe declares, running towards the door.

Regardless if you do or dont ship them, we all know kaeya and rosaria have fucked at least once in their life.
They were also likely drunk af...
And possibly inside the church.......
And someone definitely saw them and walked away out of fear/disturbance (either the dark knight hero on a mission and had the misfortune of being there, or the venti himself who heard a commotion in the church (who's also likely drunk af)).........

in which the cavalry captain finds his drinking buddy in an uncomfortable state, to say the least.

It wasn't fair. It just wasn't fair.
the words echoed through Rosaria's mind, she just couldn't make sense of it all. It never happened like this, of course there was that time with Jean — but she hated remembering that day.
The woman was perched on a coffee table in the backyard of Kaeya's house. She didn't know how she got there, nor why he had a coffee table in his backyard, but what she did know is that she absolutely could not take a deep breath without a stabbing pain in her entire torso.
Rosaria clutched her stomach, shutting her eyes tightly because she refused to make a sound, lest any wanderers find her in this state.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice, one she recognized to be her drinking buddy's coming from a distance.
It wasn't coming from a distance, really. He was barely a meter away.
"You're awake!" Kaeya proclaimed, the sudden noise pricked Rosaria's ears like a thousand needles.
"I'm sorry I took so long, its hard to find bandages... I hardly need them." he mused, taking her free hand in his and wrapping a soft white cloth against the open wound. Rosaria had failed to realise her hand was injured too, maybe she still had some adrenaline left from her encounter, or maybe she was too tired to notice? it didn't matter. Kaeya probably cleaned the cut while she was passed out.
Lost in thought once more, she subconsciously tried to breathe in deepy, trying to calm herself.
Big mistake.
She gripped her own torso tightly, her nails leaving a mark on her skin through her clothes. Unbeknownst to her, she had hissed in pain, thus alarming the man beside her.
"Are you alright? Did that sting? What happened?" he queried, staring up at her from where he was kneeling as if it wasn't obvious already.
"I don't feel very good.." Rosaria tried to choke out, she really did try her best but she was only met with the irony taste of her own blood in her mouth. "I can barely breathe, it hurts..." came out as a bloody cough.
Kaeya's desperate, worried expression faded out of view as Rosaria winced her eyes together, the only sound following was the silent, throbbing pain in her temples.
Rosaria couldn't be bothered to open them again for a while, she tried to coax herself to sleep just to escape it for a little while — but she could make out the vague sound of a door closing and someone carrying her, she didn't worry about where.
"I think that bruise matches your eye color."
Rosaria's eyes shot open, to reveal none other than Kaeya sitting in front of her, a sheepish look dancing on his usually calm features. His hair was a little messed up, she figured he probably took the couch and she was lying on his bed.
"Sorry, bad time?" "You think?"
Rosaria was pleasantly surprised by the sound of her own voice, she was half expecting a bloody mess to come out instead of words.
Kaeya smiled, admiring her confused face when she heard the sound.
"Well, I'll be downstairs if you need me."
He disappeared into his stairwell, leaving a strangely content nun lying on his bed, bandaged almost everywhere.

Smoke

— 𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚: On the balcony of Angel's Share, two souls found each other in frigid winter nights.

The first time he met her, it was on a cold, wintery night.
Closed eyes, long red locks flowing free, caressing the body with exquisite contours as she leaned against the chilly wall. White fingers clasped around the cigarette, she expelled a thin puff of smoke into the air. When the sound of his footsteps stopped on the balcony, she opened her eyes. For a brief moment, amid the smoke, their gazes met.
They remained silent. She nodded to him. Then he sat in a chair at the far end of the balcony and sipped his wine. That's the rule here; a designated area in the tavern. Nobody said anything on this balcony. Unlike the lively ground level of the tavern, this was a calm spot for individuals to keep their secrets hidden and only give to the wind to take away.
"Kaeya, right?" She spoke up on a cold night.
He nodded in surprise. She had learned about him, just as he had known her name. Rosaria.
"We can't talk here." The corners of his mouth twitched slightly.
"There's no one but the two of us here."
A few curls fell to one shoulder as she bent her head. In comparison to the weather, she was clothed a bit thin. Yet, it was nothing since both of them were children of ice and snow.
"Honestly, who set such ridiculous rules?" She went on.
Kaeya laughed. "That would be my precious brother."
Maybe she was aware of that as well. She merely returned a grin and snarled a breath. Her face was shrouded by smoke, yet her gaze was locked on his still.
Their conversation did not end there. It persisted throughout the long nights. Quiet. Discreet. Only the two of them were aware. On the cold balcony. He had to admit that he preferred to get to know her this way rather than gather all of her information in the dark or secretly follow her through missions. Occasionally, he saw her at the Church. She lit a cigarette silently in a corner. She never acted like other sisters at the Church at all. But there was something so sacred about her that made him dive deeper and deeper; was it the smoke from the corners of her red lips unconsciously striking him, or the eyes that appeared to read into his thoughts as they came closer on that balcony each night? There were only the two of them.
She had a way of getting him drunk without alcohol. But he would willingly become drunk just to get closer to her. He'd never felt shy approaching ladies or flirting with them. Despite this, she appeared to capture his heart. She knew everything he was going to say, or did not dare to say.
"You look horrible. It's as if you've been pranked by the hilichurls," she added, half joking, half concerned.
"Pardon me, milady," he said as he sat down next to her.
"Quarrel with your brother?"
He did not respond, but implicitly confirmed what she had just said.
"Family always gives us headaches, doesn't it?" She grounded the cigarette into the ashtray. Her cheeks slightly reddened. Perhaps she was a little tipsy.
"You seem to be drinking more than normal."
He was curious as to what was bothering her so much.
"Oh, nothing..." She responded, bringing the cigarette to her mouth.
He said nothing else and instead drank from his glass. She had not told him much yet, but he hoped that one day she'd be willing to share everything with him the way he was comfortable confiding in her, drunk or awake.
"I'm going away." After a lengthy silence, she said. "I'm not sure when I'll be able to return. Maybe when the winter is over."
"For the Church's business?"
"Nope. Actually,... it's just personal affairs."
He had further questions. But she would never say anything she did not want to. She was constantly cloaked in mystery, arriving and dissipating like smoke. He could never hold the smoke in his palms.
"If you need help, I'm always here. For you."
"I know. Hey, I have a gift for you. Think of it as a forthcoming winter festival present."
What a delightful surprise. He replied with a smile:
"So what are you going to give me? Something unforgettable, would it be?"
Through the hazy smoke, he caught the smile on the corner of her lips. When the haze cleared, he saw her approach, and placed a kiss on his lips.
"Sure."
-The End-
