hello everyone!! i’m super excited to be here as a personal enjoyer of cosmic horror and the supernatural :-) i’ll be writing for lee gain, local miserable accountant and the living half of a pair of twins lmao ...... unfortunately i’ll be a lil spotty in the coming days bc i have the worst timing ever lol (in the middle of a move welp), but! if u’d like to plot, please leave a like and i’ll drop by ur dms! also available on disk hoard @ iffy miffy#3901 if u would like to plot there instead!
basic rundown + extras + plots under the cut! (CW: mentioned parents & sibling death)
lee gain, 33, local from what was previously the northern village in the nari village (ok she was there for like. barely 24 hrs), now an accountant in dangam-eup spending her days in the smoking area (see: rooftop) of her workplace
bio/bg tl;dr: born the day before the singing stone appeared which killed her parents, grew up with her identical twin sister (gaeun) and grandmother, gain turned out as the more subdued twin vs gaeun the 'troublemaker’ and was even the vp of their student council during high school, during senior yr gaeun dies under uncertain circumstances which gain may or may have not been involved in
and since senior yr, gain’s been plagued with nightmares and visions of gaeun, accumulating to a lil identity crisis moment when she finds that she has a new mole on her face in the exact spot where gaeun's trademark one was :-)
gave her the death reversed card so there’s gna be some personal change and transformation going on, but is it just metaphorical/emotional??? lol guess we’ll see!
so now she’s 33 and living in an apartment with zero mirrors which. well....... isn’t great but also explains why she looks like she wears the same outfit almost every other day. bc she does
works in an accounting firm so if u need help w business finances and ur taxes then theres that! but her customer service-sona is god awful (as in she doesnt have one) so tread carefully
personality-wise, she’s erm... not exactly the most approachable w those sketchy vibes and all.... if there’s a smoking area at some resto/cafe/bar then u’ll probably find her there / the gym she goes to at like 2am bc she’s deadset on not sleeping most of the time / aimlessly walking around the island
i’d imagine she was just classically?? introverted when she was younger but post-gaeun has both hardened n fractured her shell so now she’s more deadpan + distrusting + rude (some would say a little bit like how gaeun was..... hm......)
re: the supernatural stuff, she isn’t a skeptic but it’s more of a case where she doesn’t want to believe bc then she has to entertain the idea of her dead sister trying to claim her body as an actual thing so.... take that as u will
but now theres that big squid ... welp!
now onto some v poorly thought out plots (i’m much better w brainstorming so pls let’s do that if none of these work)
this is just wishful thinking but someone who knew her from high school as the mild-mannered vp and witnessed/came back to this almost completely diff person that strangely reminds them of someone else
someone who has a familial connection to the northern village that might’ve heard abt the twins who were born right before the singing stone destroyed everything
fellow neighbour in an unnamed apt complex in dangam-eup who might think of her as a shady character not to be trusted bc she rlly does dress and act the part....
maybe u rlly do need help with ur taxes and therefore hire her services but much to ur surprise she actually gets the job done even though she looks like she’s this close to throwing something at u every time u ask a question
ok im stumped but ty for making it this far and i look forward to plotting/writing with u <3

Love Story
March is now over and so is our prenup shoot. But guess what, we're far from over from being busy. Laira and I work hand-in-hand in working through our remaining pre-requisities for our wedding and for our honeymoon in Palawan. This is good stress though as we're enjoying that we're building our memories together.
Now that it's April, we have just celebrated our last anniversary as girlfriend and boyfriend while we'll be celebrating my birthday this weekend. Our anniversary went great - we used the spa voucher that was given to us by the parents of one of Laira's students. It was a "premium" experience as we're given a private couple room complete with a shower area and a.. wait for it.. jacuzzi. Yes, that's right. I've been longing for a jacuzzi ever since especially when I didn't get to experience one in La Bella due to fatigue post-shoot. What's surprising though is since it's right after a massage, the water in the jacuzzi has to be hot but unfortunately, it was too hot for us to really enjoy it.
Was the experience worth it based on the price you paid for it? Probably. If you rarely go to spas and you wanted the full experience then I guess the price is justified. But if you frequent spas such as Nuat Thai or call in a home service and don't mind an oily body after the session, then it will just fall under a good experience that we might never try again unless offered by someone else.
I'd like to compare this to our ever-favorite, Ace Water Spa. For just around 6000, you'll already have 2 entries in the spa, a hotel room, a breakfast buffet for two and if my memory serves me right, 2 500-peso voucher that you can use at their rooftop resto-bar or at their cafe. So between this and The Spa, I might be comfortable saving up for Ace Water Spa instead - you'll get the whole day for you to do whatever you want at their premises (nearby as well) rather than being limited just for ~2 hours.
We were supposed to eat at Modern Shanghai due to good reviews but as we've already eaten Chinese food in TuanTuan on our exact anniversary day, we've opted for CIBO but seeing later on that most of the reviews mentions that it's overrated and expensive, we ended at Banapple as they're now offering a smaller serving of their delectable ribs. We also went back to Toby's Estate but sadly, I mistakenly ordered the wrong drink. It was a Chai Chocolate - it has ginger which while is "okay" for me, it was not a fun drink at all.
We strolled around SM Megamall afterwards hoping to finally purchase my wedding shoes but after a few realizations such as a hard-shelled shoes can be a bit uncomfortable depending on the thickness of the socks you're wearing as well as on how you walk, I decided to do a bit more research rather than jump the gun that day.
This week, we'll be dining at Senor Pollo again after so many years (this is the restaurant we ate on our very first date) and try to check if there are Rastaclats still in Landmark. As for the Omniverse Museum, I missed their 4.4 sale that will supposedly save us 1000. Here's to checking again on what other activities that we can do around the area.
There's so much more in store for this month. We'll also be having a get together with my cousins in BGC to try some good ramen and meet with Laira's family prior to the wedding.
Bring it, April.

Barceló Hotel Group tem novo hotel no Funchal
Tumblr media
Someday (Part II)
Someday (Ukai Keishin x Reporter!Fem Reader) Part 2
Word Count: 1,087
Y/N L/N's Point of View
"I'm Karasuno's coach, Ukai Keishin."
You felt your stammering heart go quicker and quicker. Of all the places you could meet him, why now and why here? God must be a sadist.
"Oh... an alumnus as well. I didn't know we'd meet here after what, 8 years since our third year in Karasuno?" You said in confidence. Ah, shit, who would believe you? Your crush of a whole year, the one you would run into in the hallways every morning, lunch, and dismissal, is right here standing in front of you, having an interview where YOU'RE the one asking him questions.
Who would have thought this big coincidence will happen?!
"Wait, you two know each other?" The captain, the one who shook hands with the Oikawa guy spoke out for the first time. "Yes. She and I were on the same grade level."
"Were you two close?" The small kid, jersey number 10, spoke teasingly. Your cheeks burned and you looked away. Unknown to you, Keishin knew well what your reaction was.
After all, he used to observe you.
You coughed. "Shall we continue?"
"Sure." He replied.
-
It was intense. Maybe not for them, but for you, You still couldn't get over the fact that you met Ukai Keishin after 8 years! Everyone planned a reunion party that'll happen next week but the organizers said that Ukai already declined. What's his deal?
You wrapped up the interview, got everyone's opinion on the game and what's to come. The boys were very energetic except for the blonde one. He looks so serious, so stoic.
"Well, that's about everything. I thank you all for your time."
Ah, thank God. It's not awkward anymore! You shook hands with everyone and realized that you had to shake hands with Keishin too. Your small, delicate hand met his large and rough ones.
After a few shakes, you turned around to leave but he caught you on the wrist. "W-What is it?" You stuttered.
After you asked, he let go of your hand and stuffed his into the pockets of his track jacket. "Let me take you out on a date." He said firmly. You didn't know if he was joking but it made your heart flutter, unlocking all your feelings that have been locked away 8 years ago.
"I..." You couldn't form words. How do you say to your high school crush that you've been waiting for this moment? Even when you said yes, what will you do with the ice breaker questions? Compliment him? Tease him? Be awkward like you normally do?
"Please?" He asked again, worried. Oh, you haven't answered yet.
'Fuck it.'
Fuck every insecurity that you have, fuck everything that's holding you back from being happy. You could've confessed to Keishin years ago but you never did, you chickened out!
This is the time to make up for all of that.
"S-Sure." You answered with a sweet smile, it reached your eyes. You looked very pretty, but to Keishin's eyes, you were a GODDESS. You turned away with a wave, signaling that you had to do your job now.
With you gone, Keishin let his feelings take over him.
'So this is how it feels like. I've never felt this since high school.' He thought. During your high school years, you were not the only one who noticed Ukai. He noticed you too, so much.
On that day y/b/n shouted that you liked him, he grew an interest in you. Keishin looks really scary with his piercing eyes but you might be the first one to be ever drawn to those brown orbs of his.
He searched for you in every room but with no luck. You were out with y/b/n having lunch on the rooftop. If not, then you're probably hiding away to avoid the crowd that you so much hate.
But one faithful day, he ran passed by you in the hallway. He kept his composure as if he looks like he doesn't recognize you. He was good since you did believe that plan of his up until now.
No, he's not a stalker. It was just a big coincidence that you both always pass each other. After all, there's only one hallway per building. He couldn't get rid of you. But what's funny, is that you're there the exact time he is.
He was so serious about volleyball he didn't think of his feelings towards you so much. He was contented to just see you in the hallway, knowing that you'd be there every day.
He dated a few girls after college, but none so charming. They didn't exactly meet his pace. But now you're here, and he's here. It's a perfect time, isn't it?
After your rounds, you met up with Keishin outside the stadium. He treated you to resto-bar a few blocks from there. The boys had a celebratory dinner with them in the resto-bar but of course, minus the drinks.
-
You rode with them on the bus. You were drunk, but Keishin isn't. He let you sleep, resting your head on his shoulder during the whole ride. "Coach, she's your girlfriend now?" Koushi whispered to the blonde. Keishin suddenly blushed crimson red and replied, "No. Not yet."
The silver-haired boy gave him a thumbs up and got back to his seat.
A smile crept into Keishin's face. "Hah. I guess I am that desperate." He joked with himself. After the bus ride, he walked you home, intertwining your hands together. You're so drunk that word vomit just comes out of your mouth.
"wH0 wOuLdA tHOuGhT tHaT yOu C0uLd bE MOrE h0tTeR?" You confessed. Oh, you are so going to regret this the morning after. He chuckled, sending your stomach to hurl in butterflies.
"I didn't know you thought I'm hot."
"Ehh?!?!?! hic, you are! You're the hottest guy I ever laid my eyes on!" You exclaimed. "Okay, okay. Stop with the flattery, you're just drunk." He dismissed you.
You whined and he just laughed at you. This? This memory will last for a lifetime. It's the little moments that make up a memory and he's not about to forget about it.
He reached your house and you stood in front of the gate, wobbling slightly. "You probably won't remember this talk tomorrow but I had fun. Let's go on a date again, y/n." Before you could react, he pulled your head in his direction and planted a soft, feather-light kiss on your forehead.
"Good night, my y/n. Dream of me."

MIDTOWN EAST, MURRAY HILL, GRAMERCY, FLATIRON DISTRICT Y STUYVESANT TOWN

a day in the life;
Remember, remember, this is now, and now, and now. Live it, feel it, cling to it. I want to become acutely aware of all I’ve taken for granted. - Sylvia Plath
It was Thursday, and I had a PI 100 quiz the next day. It was scorching hot in the afternoon, and my clothes were damp with a faint mixture of sweat and ice cold beer. For some reason, I’m drinking in a cramped apartment near the beach that I share with two other girls, one of them my PI instructor, who is also a dear friend.
It was Thursday, but in Miagao, Thursdays can be Fridays. We drank, and ate Hungarian sausages from an Angel’s Burger stall, crisp potato chips from a 7-Eleven, told stories until we laughed and laughed beer started to come out from our noses. Somehow, we drank enough beer to pass out, and then woke up 4 hours later to get dinner in a rooftop resto that served decent Pad Thai, vermicelli noodles, and kimchi rice. Carbs galore, but this was in 2018 where I weighed 48 kilos and didn’t give a damn about calorie counting.
This was a typical day of my college life, senior year era, when I wasn’t jet setting elsewhere, trying to make a relationship work. It seems like eons ago, but it also feels like yesterday. Where I wore a lot of shorts and floral off-shoulder tops, spent a lot of my days drinking- reading feminist prose, and enjoying life in a sleepy college town. It was all so quiet and calm that it bore me endlessly; I held on to a tight belief that what I wanted was chaos- the bustle of a big city.
For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to leave home to go to college. A day in my high school life involved a lot of writing, and reading, and dating boys. I was from a small town. I felt like I’ve lived in small towns all my life, which were a string of places so fantastically boring to a girl who grew up reading about Chicago, London, or New York where big things are constantly happening. The last place I lived before college was an old city that boasts ancestral houses.  To me, it seemed like the second best thing to Vigan.
I spent my teenage years there, taking a high school creative writing class. And if I wasn’t reading Edgar Allan Poe’s poetry or working on a novel, I was dating a lot. I was the type to get bored quick in high school, because I was sure I didn’t want to go to college with a boyfriend, convinced it would hinder my growth. But it was fun while it lasted- coming-of-age, where everything in your life feels new and exciting and the possibilities are endless.
Now, I’m not even sure why I was in such a rush to grow up. There are no lazy afternoons in the world I’m in, no stolen kisses in bathroom bars, no exhilaration in sneaking out at night, no joy in opening a book and reading The Raven for the first time.
Fast forward to the present- my world is one of zoom meetings, and data analysis, and staring at a blank excel sheet for hours. There’s no day drinking on weekdays, and I’m an adult with responsibilities. There’s so much I miss about the life I’ve had before, but also being thankful about where I am. I wake up, make my coffee, do a Chloe Ting workout, take a shower, have a banana for breakfast and work. Endless repeat.
It’s a loop, and while the repetition drives me insane, I am comforted by the fact that this is all temporary. That spending my 20s in my apartment, ordering Chinese takeout, cooking pastas won’t be my life forever. But I resigned myself to loving where I am now, to revel in where I am, embracing the NOW, instead of always looking forward to the next step.
That isn’t a way to live.
