Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Cloud Strife Banners

The Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Final Tier and the Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Reprise events just started in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game. These events came with multiple banners.

Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII (#ad) - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, Force or FR, and Burst or BT

Start-Dash Draw Banner

The Start-Dash Draw banner features the following chars and their weapons:

Thoughts about Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII

My thoughts about Cloud are - complicated. I mean, sometimes I like him and sometimes I hate him. Will talk more about that in another post but for now, I think the state I currently have him in says it all.

I remember using Cloud a lot what feels like a long, long time ago. Have his 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD fully MLB. Oh, right, Cloud has like 2 or 3 more weapons. Also have them all fully MLB already.

Completed all of Cloud's Summon Boards and the Character Enhancement Boards for his 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD.

Got his Bloom Stone. Took the time to farm for triple of his perfect Artifacts. Even gave him triple real Spheres and bought his High Armor.

I also remember that I ended up pitying his Burst weapon when it first showed up in the English or Global version of Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia.

But when it became possible to upgrade Cloud’s BT and High Armor, I opted not to. Leveled up his Burst to the max but didn’t even bother to Realize it to BT+ 0/3. I did Realize his High Armor to 0/3 but didn’t bother to go all the way to Blueing it.

Now that Cloud’s FR is here and he just got another rework and update, I found myself wondering if I should pull for said weapon or not.

Cloud is pretty good. He’s a DPS with lots of utility in his kit such as being able to paralyze and launch enemies. He can even delay them and dispel their buffs. His damage output may not be the best but his utility more than makes up for that.

Plus his FR is also pretty good and the conditions to increase its HP damage bonus aren’t that hard to fulfill.

So to pull or not to pull? Still not sure so gonna have to think about this some more.

Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Reprise Banner Free First Multi-Draw Results

As part of the campaign that came with the Dimensions’ End events, we get free first multi-draws on multiple banners.

The free first multi-draw on the Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Reprise banner gave me dupes of Edgar’s 35cp, Cloud’s 15cp, and Cloud’s 35cp. Meh.

Start-Dash Draw Banner Free First Multi-Draw Results

The Start-Dash Draw banner was updated alongside the arrival of the Dimensions’ End banners and events. So we also get a free first multi-draw on this banner.

To my surprise, my free pull on the Start-Dash Draw banner actually gave me a Force orb. Yes!

Was really hoping to get my first copy of Cloud’s FR but unfortunately, ended up with a dupe of Lightning’s FR instead. Sigh.

This pull also gave me dupes of Squall’s 15cp and Lightning’s 15cp.

Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Reprise Banner and Start-Dash Draw Banner Tickets Pulls Results

After getting Setzer’s FR and BT (I talk more about that in another post), once again found myself wondering what to do about Cloud. Should I pull for his FR? Should I fully build him or not?

Well, still not sure if I’ll fully build him but after thinking about it some more, decided to try and get his FR with tickets. Even if I end up not fully building him, it’d still be nice to have his FR in case I need it or something.

So I started tossing tickets on the Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Reprise banner and the Start-Dash Draw banner.

IIRC, had around 200+ tickets when I started pulling and even ended up exchanging all my Daily Hunt Tokens for more tickets. Can’t remember the exact amount of tickets I used now but it was maybe around 300 or thereabouts.

Already have everything on both banners except for Cloud’s FR so just started interchanging between both banners. I’d do one 10-draw on one banner then switch to the other and then back again.

Got the usual bronze and silver trash as well as a few gold dupes and even 10-draws that didn't have even a single gold. Didn’t take a lot of screenshots though.

Was pleased to get dupes of Cloud’s and Edgar’s Ex weapons since these give good Spheres. IIRC, I got like one or two dupes of these weapons.

A bit later on, got a Force orb. Was really hoping to get Cloud’s FR already but unfortunately, ended up with a dupe of Edgar’s FR instead.

Then, after a few more 10-draws, got another Force orb.

Thankfully, this time, this turned into my very first copy of Cloud’s FR.

Hell, yes! Super pleased to see this. And really glad I didn’t have to spend that much to get this weapon.

Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII

I'm happy that I was able to get Cloud's FR but I still wasn't sure if I wanted to fully build him or not. I keep thinking, okay, let's do this, but then I always seem to end up hesitating then changing my mind at the last minute. Been going back and forth and debating with myself about this but still can't seem to make up my mind.

After thinking about it for a few days, finally made up my mind. Decided to go ahead and max out Cloud. The following reasons helped to sway me to go for it:

-It's not like I absolutely loathe Cloud or anything. These days, I just seem to fluctuate between liking him and not liking him. Like I said, it's complicated. LOL.

-I already have Cloud mostly built already so going all the way wouldn't take a lot of my resources.

-Speaking of resources, since I've been pretty stingy when it comes to who to fully build, I do have a few to spare so I can afford to max out Cloud and still have some for the other chars who I want to complete.

-Cloud may not be the best DPS in the game but he does deal pretty good damage while also providing useful things like delaying and paralyzing enemies.

-Lately, we’ve been having events where chars get locked out once you use them on a single stage, or where you can only use chars that are of a certain Crystal Color and/or weapon type so it’s good to have as many fully built chars as possible.

-We also just got this new weekly event called Crystal Quests. This comes with a new feature called the Crystal Room.

Basically, you take on these Crystal Quests to earn points and get passives and stats for your chars. To get these points, you need to form a team of chars that are all of the same Crystal Color. The points you get will then be for that same Crystal Color.

So for example, if you build a team of Green Crystal chars, you'll get points to unlock the stats and passives of the Green Chamber in the Crystal Room.

Currently, been doing the weekly Crystal Quests with Green Crystal chars mostly because of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. Will talk more about that in another post.

But anyway, as a Blue Crystal char, Cloud can't benefit from the Green Crystal stats and passives that I've unlocked so far. However, recently, been thinking about either switching to building the Blue Chamber or building Blue Crystal chars next once I'm done with the Green Chamber.

Don't know for sure if I will switch to Blue even if I'm not fully done with Green yet. Initially, I thought for sure that I'd fully finish the Green Chamber first before thinking about what Color to build next.

But what got me thinking about possibly switching to Blue is the fact that Weiss the Immaculate from Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII is coming really soon to Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia. He'll be the latest playable char to be added to the game. And the banner featuring all of his weapons is coming really soon.

At the moment, it seems like Weiss will be the closest I'll get to having Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII in DFFOO, at least until they actually and finally add him to this game.

Currently, Genesis Rhapsodos is my absolute, most fave Final Fantasy char. Been waiting and hoping for what feels like forever for him to finally be added as a playable char here in DFFOO but sadly, that has yet to happen. So for now, will just have to make do with Weiss and other FF7 chars.

Anyway, the point is that, if I do switch to Blue, then it'd be great to have Cloud as another Blue Crystal char I can use to help me clear the weekly Crystal Quests.

Besides, whether I switch to Blue or finish Green then move to Blue next, the fact remains that players will eventually get 'round to getting all the stats and passives for all the Crystal Colors. So it's really just a matter of deciding which Color to focus on first.

-The Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Reprise event features a lockout mechanic but this only applies to non-boosted chars. So you're free to use any of the boosted chars for all the quests in this event but non-boosted chars can only be used once.

Cloud is one of the boosted chars here so I can use him as much as I want to. This'll give me more options like being able to save my best chars for the hardest fights in this event.

-It's been a long time since I last used Cloud, especially since I didn't bother to Green his Burst and Blue his High Armor before. So it'd be nice to get to use him now. This will also give me another char who I can use for endgame content and such instead of gravitating towards or using the same chars over and over again.

So anyway, after making up my mind, spent the High Power Stones needed to fully MLB Cloud's Force weapon. Completed his Force Board, Force Echoes, and Force Enhancements.

Then I spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to Green his Burst weapon or get it to BT+ 3/3.

Also spent the 3 Ingots needed to Blue his High Armor.

Now my Cloud is fully built and complete. Looking forward to trying him out in some endgame content.

Conclusion

Dave Grohl - A Little Bit of Resolve

Preface - A lonesome night after a shitty day, your lover comes to offer you a hug.

A/N: Fluff, Mild Angst, etc.

Misc. Notes - I just really like 2005 Dave, I want whatever energy he's emulating.

Stirring dinner in the pan, smells of Rice-A-Roni filling the air. To accompany it, you've made a salad containing, of course, lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, bell pepper, carrot, cucumber, and chicken. A refreshing dinner salad to hopefully pull your head away from the cloud of 'blah'. Dave was finishing up recording, so you figured you'd make him some food and greet him with a hug and a kiss at the table.

You promptly set the table and washed any dishes that were dirtied to mitigate the amount of dishes after your meal. The table was a nice oak handmade table, courtesy of a distant relative of yours. A deep, wine red table cloth covered it with a rose centerpiece. The roses were fake, but still a pretty white. The white plates to contrast the overpowering deep red table cloth. Paper towel napkins to suffice, and you each had a glass of iced tea. A carefully crafted setting, while you looked for the satisfaction of perfection.

Just some short moments later, Dave walked in. You just finished plating his food, making sure it looked tidy and not like it was slapped together. He promptly smiled as you gave him the biggest embrace you could. Without realizing it, you were squishing him.

"Uh, honey... You're suffocating me." He stated, slowly becoming short of breath.

"Oh, no, I'm sorry! I didn't notice." Dave only snickered in response as you let him go.

He loved the little things like that, even if they seemed like they weren't that valuable. Observant and alert are the top two best ways to put it when Dave's with you. He'll make sure to pick up on little hints. One time, when you two were first dating, he took note of the jewelry you wore. The same necklace, every time. He found it to be sweet, and even got you one that could match with it.

"It's alright, are you doing okay? You don't do that very often."

"I'll be okay. I'm just in a rough spot, I think." His face went from curious to concerned.

"Do you want to talk about it? I'm all ears." He remarked, curiosity and compassion rising within his tone.

"I think we should eat first, cold Rice-A-Roni sucks." You chuckled in response.

He nodded and sat down, beginning to practically inhale his dinner. It's a recurring theme with him, he gets worried and then he'll morph into Kirby until he's at rest. It began to grow weirdly silent.

"So... How's Taylor?" You asked, to break the thick tension in the air.

"He's doing alright, his wife is having a baby shower soon, they named their son Oliver."

"Aww, I like that name. Any reason for it, or it just sounded nice?"

"I'm sure there's reason, I just hadn't thought to ask earlier." Dave hesitated before he spoke again.

"Honey, I know you said you think it's just a rough patch, but can we please talk about how you're feeling? You don't seem like your usual self when you're going through something." He said, preceding his last few bites of dinner.

"I don't know," You'd barely touched your food, unable to think properly. "I was doing okay at work this morning, it wasn't anything unusual aside from a small headache. Filing, faxing, emailing, typical things. I had walked out of the office for something though and..." You hesitated to continue.

"I just don't know, I guess. I'm really exhausted all the time, and it physically hurts sometimes." Looking into your eyes, seeing your desperation, the feeling was well too known to him. He brought you in for an embrace, and began to speak.

"Oh, my sweet darling, please don't worry. It's okay to feel this way, you know?" He caressed your hair gently, showing his love and adoration for you.

Your quiet sniffles turned into small sobs, as you cried into his chest, he continued to hold you and comfort you, knowing all too well what those days felt like. "It's just been tough, and I can't even say why because I don't know!" You cried out, desperate for comfort.

Dave was patient though, and it was one of his best traits. "It's okay honey, you're in the right to feel these things, even if you aren't sure why. I love you, and we'll get through this together, okay?"

"Okay... I love you too, darling."

the coldest ground for recreation.

the gust of the winter wind felt like thorns constricting his airways, along with his ears inflamed and in pain just as much as his ice-cold hands frozen even inside his pockets. he's always blindsided by the weather. he'd be thinking spring was approaching as the climate decides to function backwards. this generation really ought to start caring, he thought, though he'd sometimes be guilty himself of believing nothing else but humans possess intrinsic value. where this belief serves purpose, however, is that he's of the opinion that all other beings hold instrumental value.

oddly enough, amid his musing he finds a bag of what looked like food waste. taking a gander and seeing some of the nasty content in there, he could immediately tell because of the general rule that if an animal will eat it then it goes into food waste. it was embedded in him since his landlord had to constantly yell at him to remember where specific garbage go. but he can't really be blamed, can he? every district had it different and he's constantly moving around. who could even remember that much information? not him anyway. as does the person who left this bag too. that collector was either brutal, forgetful, or maybe a saint for abandoning it because this would have been a hefty fine (depending on whose it was).

as it stands, it was a sort of finders-keepers situation. this was haru's responsibility now. and in the name of reducing carbon footprint, he takes it with him. in the cold, no disposal in sight. he's been walking a while he doesn't remember the path he's taken anymore. he couldn't be bothered to take out his phone for a gps direction because that means two hands becoming victim to what felt like hypothermia at this rate.

"why is it so fucking cold?" he muttered under his breath that was absent of water vapor, creating the fleeting, misty cloud that his eyes focuses on until a figure sprouts out of nowhere, as if through the curtains of that same fog. he squints, furrows his eyebrows, and purses his lips trying to decode what his vision was showing him and why they seemed so familiar.

and there she was. the same woman who's been playing cat and mouse with him for months now.

"roni?" saying her name out loud gradually turns his almost-glower into his high cheeks puffing into a wide smile. "is that you forreal?!" he had to make sure in case he was hallucinating again. what she was doing in the middle of the night, in the cold, in a playground, was still a mystery to him but he brushes it off. it was the least of his concerns. the bag he was holding was probably just as much of a mystery to her. the entire situation was harrowingly bizarre. but he takes it in stride. he's had a hard time trying to reach her, after all. this would have been the first time they're seeing each other face to face. the constraints of digital communication has hindered this encounter long enough.

the rest of the night was filled with unnerving silence and the occasional kicking at his feet type of awkwardness. since when have their friendship gone this bad? he thought he'd done enough apologising but clearly not the case. her forgiveness just had to come in her own time. he has to respect that. ironically, getting there would only be possible if he had an instrumental value to her. much like the swings stagnating in the chill of the night, unable to oscillate due to its rusting chains, haru's value to roni seemed to be diminishing. with the band gone and their social circles scattering, he figures she was starting to outgrow him.

fair enough, he thought. he wouldn't want to force anything on her; not a surprise birthday party or a plus-one invite that could go wrong again at best. he figures he could just wait for her to come to him. in her own terms. besides, haru has always been good at waiting. it'll be a pleasure when it's roni. her existence is her intrinsic value.

Opera Omnia Burst Themes 1/?

With Opera Omnia shutting down, I decided to make a few posts about one of my favorite parts of the game: The Burst Weapons. Not because they were a powerful, much sought after weapon tier that gave big numbers with massive benefits, but because I have a love for Final Fantasy music, and what BTs I wanted was strongly dependent on what song would play when used.

These posts are meant to be more for the sake of archiving what there had been more than anything else, but at the very least I am going to list a large number of great FF songs.

Ch. 3 Night Begins

Rosa's POV

---------------

The sun was beginning to set.

The sky, painted in brilliant warm colors, was preparing for a change. Weaving in and out, various shades and tints bobbed over and under the horizon, seeping through the fluffy clouds, making the bland, white clouds bleed with colors. Yet farther from the horizon line, the darker the colors became. Bright pink to dark pink, light orange to blood red, speckles of light gray to velvety blue…

The night was approaching, the moon was soon to dominate as the sun retires.

"It seems like it's finally time."

Blood red eyes blinked awake, a color more gruesome than any slaughtered prey's blood within this foliage.

The little creature, the size of a walnut, yet honing a pair startlingly eyes craned her small body. She was perfectly camouflaged within the trees as the green of her body fits right in with the leaves.

Shuffling her body, the creature slowly stretched her body out, taking a huge stretch. The good kind of stretch that makes the eye glimmer in a twinkle in satisfaction, the whole body twitching.

With a little pop, cobalt blue limbs appeared as her little, orange feet and hands also peeked out.

Originally tucking her little limbs under her body, the single tone of green ended up with some a company of colors.

"Aaah."

With a slow blink, the creature, a red-eyed tree frog, took a breath of the nighttime air.

"Ay, Rosa, are you prepared for some hunting!"

Rosa turned to the noisy source calmly and slowly spoke, "Rony, please tame your excitement. It just turned night."

"Whatever you say, Rosa!" Rony exclaimed. He was exactly the same as Rosa. Bright green, shiny blue, striking orange, and…blood red.

"Anyways, I'll be going with the pack, the family. I guess I gotta use the technical name, you know, the Army! Defiantly know the ants ain't happy with that one. Anyways, you know, the Army likes to have some nightly partying while the stars are coming out. You gotta come!"

"Alright, Rony. Enjoy some family time then. I'll be taking a little hop around the place."

"Why? No family time?! Why go to other boring places?"

"Rony, let's not be a frog in the well. You've only seen this one tree, what about the hundreds upon thousands of other trees? Open the mind to the new of this world." Rosa gazed thoughtfully within the deepness of the never-ending barricade of trees.

"C'mon Rosa, you know the brain in here is smaller than a seed! Can't. Understand. Nothing." Rony blabbered playfully, wadding up his little orange toes into a little fist, knocking at his brain on beat with every syllable, "I'll be going now. Just don't stray too far away!"

"Don't worry, I won't," replied Rosa.

With a skillful leap, arcing in the air gracefully, Rosa started to make her way to the interlocking branches of the trees. Twisting and tangling, vines wrapped around the branches, tying them into a messy bundle. Thousands of leaves tickled each other, brushing past each other gently when the nightly breeze kicked in.

Rosa, using the intimately knotted foliage to her advantage, with great ability, soon disappeared into the greenery.

"Dang...What a badass," Rony murmured in a daze.

"..."

"...Whelp, I better get going now!" With much less skill than Rosa, Rony leaped up the tree, hopping by foot to every skew branch that look like broken limbs, until he finally made his way to a flat yet sturdy branch.

"Ayoo! Everyone! Rony is in the Army!"

There was a hollering and croaking, an enthusiastic response to Rony's arrival.

And with that, the night began.

America Is Not the Heart

Word Count: 327

Summary:

This week’s independent reading was pretty good. Further reading into Hero’s motives, desires, and her exploration of sexuality and relationships, we see how she develops as a person. She prefers to have casual sex with multiple partners. She is aware of what she is by sleeping around so much. During Roni’s eighth birthday party, Hero, overwhelmed by the normalcy of her new domestic life, cannot help but think of her friends from the NPA, many of whom are undoubtedly dead. After the event where Hero gave in to Rosalyn, we delve deeper into the complexity of love and relationships between her and the ones she interacts with.

Critical Analysis:

Out of the five quotes I have chosen from this week’s independent reading, one really stood out to me. "I'm just saying. You only have one life. [...] I don't know why they're playing like they're not meant for each other. Maybe they're not ready..." (196) I found this quote to be both important and interesting because it scratches the surface of the somewhat difficulty in having relationships. Although seemingly simple, human emotion and desire twist one's mind into twisting the decisions you make. Take Hero for example, having desire cloud her mind from making meaningful relationships, she decides to only have casual sex for the longest time.

Personal Response:

I find Hero’s journey so interesting to say the least. The dilemma she faces when met with a choice between fucking around and something passionate makes me so intrigued into what she will choose. I also still love how much of the Filipino culture is being included in this book by the author. Especially the food. I absolutely love Filipino food. What made my mouth water was the constant mention of lechon. Even lechon with Mang Tomas. It made me so hungry and left me with a craving for lechon. Lechon is basically a whole roast pig, but it can be served cut and into other various dishes.

WHO ARE THE DEATHWOLVES? Part 8/∞

Another superstorm. Pel'Drissia was no stranger to these incredible displays of the forces of nature. The size of the city and the amount of shifts in the atmosphere because of it sometimes had the potential to create massive storm clouds if the conditions were just right.

Pouring rain so thick you couldn't see 20 feet ahead of you, lightning strikes that turned the night into day (what little of the night you could see, that is), and thunder that shook the very bones of the city.

Salem relished every opportunity they got to be out in it. Superstorms of this strength were somewhat rare, and it was even more rare that it wasn't a death sentence just being out in it. Sometimes it was like a hurricane in the middle of the city, with gale-force winds that tore up streetlights and other things that weren't specially built to withstand such forces.

But this time, it was just very heavy rain. Salem moved through it unbothered. A few months ago, Veronica and Nova built a compact repellant device of sorts that almost acted as a personal force field, specifically so Salem could run and be free out in the superstorms when they rolled across Pel'Drissia. Locked in an environment-proof housing, and small enough to fit in Salem's wallet, it projected an energy barrier just over Salem's skin and clothing, so the water would just roll right off of them. The calibration process took the better part of a day, but it was more than worth it.

It was one of the first times they had ever seen Salem cry, and Salem didn't regret the tears in the slightest.

It had been only a couple of days since Salem, Veronica, and Faye had erased themselves from every PelOS database in the city. Shortly after this redaction, they named themselves. Veronica took the name Umbra, Faye took the name Viper, and Salem?

Staying true to their roots, Salem took the name Hex.

Ghosts in the machine. Specters running rampant through a system that had forgotten about them before they even erased themselves.

Salem had never felt more alive. Never felt more free. Sure, getting caught doing anything like what the Wolves were already doing would still be a very, very bad idea, but...

Salem smiled to themselves.

If they never got caught? The possibilities were limitless.

Salem checked their watch. 3:46 AM. Veronica and Faye were still asleep. They had all decided to stay at Faye's house for the weekend, after what they had been told to do after officially joining. Shortly after the three new Wolves took their names, they were given a simple instruction: Meet with a 'Proctor' so that they could be given proper access to 'WolfNet', and beyond that, begin their 'Triage'. All they needed to do was inform the Proctor when they would be meeting, and they would be there, at a location of the Proctor's choosing.

Salem rarely slept when they had something exciting occupying their mind. And this was definitely something exciting.

Salem couldn't wait for Roni and Faye. They donned some new clothes (they practically shared a house with Faye, and that usually meant that clothing stayed at Faye's house, too), and informed their Proctor that they would be ready to meet within the hour.

The response was almost instant. These people either never slept, or they had plenty of people that could answer the meetup summons. Salem was inclined to believe it was the latter.

The Proctor gave Salem a location: Blue District, alleyway off of Phoenix Avenue by the Atlas Bakery. Easy enough to navigate to, and the superstorm overhead helped them twofold. One, shrouded them away from prying eyes, and two, bolstered their mood and confidence in meeting a complete stranger all by themselves. It didn't stop Salem from making sure that they had at least two lethal weapons on them, but nevertheless, they continued onward.

Salem pulled their windbreaker tighter around themselves. Just because the water didn't get to them didn't mean it was any less cold. They pulled their facemask up a bit higher over their nose, adjusted the hood over their head, and then shoved their hands in their pockets. The Proctor was very adamant about one thing: Obscure your features as much as possible. Salem was puzzled at first, and then realized that they didn't need to have personal data in the system at all to get caught. If their face was anywhere, GhostEx didn't even need a name. You were as good as dead.

Salem had to take a short maglev tram ride from the suburbs of the Blue District where Faye lived into the city proper, but it wasn't long at all before they were near the bakery. They approached it on the sidewalk and then quickly ducked into the side alley. They were truly a shadow on the wall in this storm. Completely invisible. Their all-black ensemble only served to intensify how truly akin to shadow they were. The only breakup in the void that they were enveloped in was the space where Salem's eyes were. Beneath the dark eyeshadow and even darker eyeliner were deep, deep brown irises. They were as black as the rest of their attire in this streetlamp-lit atmosphere.

The manifestation of the abyss that was Salem stalked down the alleyway until they reached a junction where it split into multiple smaller branching alleyways. Salem looked around for a moment, unsure of which way to go.

"Didn't expect to see you here so soon, Hex. I like that." Salem whipped around at the sound of the low raspy female voice that had called out to them.

Stepping from the shadow of one of those branching alleyways was a lithe woman, her own face obscured by a mask and hood just like Salem. Her clothes had long and agile lines, and the asymmetricity threw Salem off for a moment. They figured that was the point. The woman held a very strange umbrella above her head. The frame was metallic, and it had lighter fabrics and polymers spaced all throughout its frame that gave it an asymmetricity very similar to the woman's clothing. The most interesting aspect of the umbrella was that it seemed to be using a force similar to the technology that Salem carried to repel the water away from her, so she was just as dry as Salem was. Fascinating technology.

The woman stepped closer to Salem, and it was only then that Salem could see the woman's eye color. Bright hazel. For a moment, Salem could glimpse shocks of dark violet hair poking out just a little bit under her hood.

"My name is Sabrewing. I'm your Proctor while you're going through what we call Triage. Basically just a brief testing phase where we make sure that you mean business, and you truly have what it takes to remain a part of the DeathWolves. Getting a card was the easy part. Now? You have to prove that you can keep it."

Sabrewing flicked her wrist, and the action summoned a holographic projection just above her skin. A personal holopad of sorts that used her skin as the touch screen. Salem was stunned. This kind of technology was something they had only been able to covet from afar. To have something this advanced as an implant?

Salem was giddy. They had a feeling that this was just the tip of the iceberg.

As if Sabrewing could sense Salem's excitement, she held up her wrist for a moment. "Prove that you've got what it takes, and we can get you something like this, and a hell of a lot more. Let me see your phone. I'm assuming you brought yours, yes?"

Salem nodded, pulling their phone out of their pocket and handing it over. Sabrewing took the phone, turning it over in her hands a couple times, eyes widening in surprise. "Chimera 14, huh? This model wasn't supposed to hit the market for at least another month, how did you get one?"

Salem shrugged, then signed to the woman: You guys aren't the only hackers in town, you know.

Sabrewing laughed, the sound low and raspy just like her voice. "I suppose not." She waved that hologram over the phone, waited a moment, and then handed it back. "There. Your phone will have the same WolfNet permissions that your laptop does now, and I've just updated your status to Cub as well. You'll have three introductory missions waiting for you, as well as a space where you can make a brief introduction to the other Cubs going through Triage just like you. Complete the missions at your leisure, but be aware that the quicker you get them done, the quicker we can move forward and get you Established. Assume that I will be watching you from the moment you begin the mission to the moment that you complete it, and if I have to bail you out...well...it won't look good for your future with us, let's say."

Salem nodded, the excitement rising in their chest as they pocketed their phone. They glanced back up, beginning to sign their thanks, but Sabrewing was already gone.

A clap of thunder startled Salem out of their awe. They hurried out of the alleyway and back towards the tram station that would take them back to Faye's house.

After waiting a few minutes for the maglev tram to arrive, they found a secluded section of the tram away from the few other commuters that were up this early, and pulled out their phone.

For a moment, Salem wondered if Sabrewing had even changed anything, and then they saw a new application. That same six-eyed wolf icon. The app had no associated name underneath it.

They opened it, and then they were prompted to bring their card near the phone. Obliging, they were seemingly logged into WolfNet. The words Welcome to WolfNet, Hex flashed across the screen before bringing them to the front page.

The layout was simple, what seemed to be almost a forum-style social media website but with a few tweaks. The first page that they were taken to only had two accessible pages at the moment: Mailbox, which had three new messages within it, which Salem surmised were the missions that Sabrewing had given them. Underneath the Mailbox tab was the word TRIAGE. Salem sighed. Gotta do the tutorial first before they'd be able to get into the meat of things, they supposed.

The second accessible page said Introductions, and a subtext under the page name merely read Introductory etiquette and a brief summation of rules. Ensure that you read this page in its entirety ASAP.

Salem made a mental note to do that later.

The maglev reached the Blue District suburbs in no time. Salem pocketed their phone and card, and then made their way back towards Faye's house.

A nap was in order, and then maybe some breakfast.

Then it was time to get to work.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Rafflesia Raid Banners

The Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) event just started in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game. This event came with 2 banners.

Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) Banner 1

The Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) banner 1 features the following chars and their weapons:

Vayne Carudas Solidor from Final Fantasy XII - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and Burst or BT

Iroha from Final Fantasy XI - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD

King from Final Fantasy Type-0 - 15cp, 35cp, and Ex

Have all of King’s weapons. His 15cp and 35cp are fully MLB already but his Ex is at base Ex only.

Vayne’s 15cp, 35cp, and Ex are fully MLB. His Ex is at Ex+ 3/3 or Purple. Missing his LD and BT.

Have 1 copy each of Iroha’s 15cp and 35cp weapons but neither have been limit broken at all. Have 2 copies of her Ex. Missing her LD.

The Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) banner 2 features the following chars and their weapons:

Have the passive from the Cloud of Darkness’s 15cp. She’s currently equipped with a copy of her 35cp that hasn’t been limit broken at all. Missing her Ex, LD, and BT.

Reason to Pull for Vayne Carudas Solidor and the Cloud of Darkness?

With the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) event, the Burst weapons of Vayne Carudas Solidor from Final Fantasy XII (#ad) and the Cloud of Darkness from Final Fantasy III have become Realizable. Both can now be upgraded to Burst+ 3/3.

Both chars are pretty good, and they should work well enough for Lufenia+ content (quest level 250; currently the hardest kind of fight in DFFOO) but, from what I’ve heard, both really need to be at BT+ 3/3 or Green to really shine.

Not really all that attached to the Cloud of Darkness (CoD) or Vayne so wasn’t planning on using gems on either of these banners, especially since there are upcoming chars that I’m more interested in pulling for.

Besides, the resources to Green or BT+ a char are still super scarce so really need to be selective with regards to who to upgrade.

Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0

So far, only have 1 BT+ 3/3 char and that’s Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0. Went all-in on building him. No regrets. He’s been really awesome and looking forward to being able to use him as often as possible.

So, at the moment, don’t really feel like I need another Green char and can just wait until a fave or someone I’m really interested in comes along.

Vayne Carudas Solidor’s Broken Power A Sphere

However, I was planning to throw a few tickets on both Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) banners in the hopes of getting lucky.

Vayne’s gonna be a boosted char for a few more events so having even just his LD should help with the Challenge Quests (CQs) that he’s synergy for.

Vayne also has a really good A Sphere so wouldn’t mind getting more dupes of his Ex. His A Sphere is called Broken Power, and its effect is:

When attacking target afflicted with Break: • Increases BRV damage dealt by 10%

Currently only have 1 copy of this Sphere and I’ve already equipped it to Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII.

IIRC, already have a few dupes of Vayne’s Ex weapon but more is welcome even if I don’t know yet who else I’d want to give this Sphere to, or if I’d even Purple a dupe Vayne Ex.

It’s still nice to have the option to get Vayne’s Sphere in case I want a second or even a third or more copies.

Iroha’s Sphere and Weapons

Iroha doesn’t have a good Sphere but I don’t have her built so it’d still be nice to be able to acquire more of her weapons, especially the ones I’m still missing for her.

King’s Break Attack Up Shorter A Sphere

King’s super outdated by now since he doesn’t even have an LD yet (he actually only just recently got one in the Japanese version of DFFOO so it’s gonna be a long, long time before the Global or English version even gets said LD).

But King’s Sphere is really good although the same can’t be said about its activation condition. It’s an A Sphere called Break Attack Up Shorter, and its effect is:

Raises own ATK by 20% for 3 turns when inflicting Break *Does not stack with same sphere

Unfortunately, very few chars can consistently and constantly proc this Sphere. But it’s perfect for chars who have a rebreak feature like Vayne.

Strago Magus’s Sphere

Strago has a crappy Sphere that isn’t worth talking about at all. Seriously, it’s so bad that it only increases the ATK stat by 5% when other real Spheres usually give a stat up of at least 10%.

Edgar Roni Figaro’s Debuff Power A Sphere

Edgar’s in the same state as King with regards to being outdated but he has a really good Sphere so wouldn’t mind getting dupes of his Ex.

Edgar has an A Sphere called Debuff Power, and its effect is:

While debuffed enemy present: • Increases BRV damage dealt by 10%

Gave this Sphere to Sephiroth. Yeah, he has triple A Sphere slots and I’ve given him 3 A Spheres that increases the BRV damage he deals by 10% for a total of 30% BRV damage up.

His third Sphere is Cloud Strife’s (from Final Fantasy VII) Critical Power, which “Raises BRV damage dealt with critical hits by 10%”.

Cloud of Darkness’s Break Hit Raging Magic Attack Up A Sphere

The Cloud of Darkness has an A Sphere called Break Hit Raging Magic Attack Up, and its effect is:

When inflicting Break or attacking target afflicted with Break: • Raises own MAG ATK by 3% up to 5 times, once per turn *Does not stack with same sphere

This is one of the best magical ATK up Spheres so definitely interested in getting at least 1 copy of this, especially since I still don’t have CoD’s Ex.

There’s also the fact that I’m looking to redo my Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Tier 3 clear to free up some characters so having more chars that might do well on the aforementioned series of fights is most welcome.

Free First Multi-Draws on Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) Banners

As part of the currently-ongoing Halloween Campaign, we get 1 free first multi-draw on each of the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) banners.

Decided to do the free multi-draw on the Cloud of Darkness banner first. Was hoping to get something good, of course, but I thought I was more likely to end up with a dupe as usual.

And so imagine my surprise when I did the free pull and then this appeared -

A Burst orb! OMFG! Could hardly believe this. Never would have thought - I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a BT on a free draw before. I remember getting a dupe LD before though.

IIRC, it was either Y’shtola Rhul’s (from Final Fantasy XIV) or Bartz Klauser’s (from Final Fantasy V).

For a new LD from a free draw, I can only remember getting Kimahri Ronso’s (from Final Fantasy X), and that felt like ages ago. Also, missed out on Kimahri’s Ex then so couldn’t really make use of him.

There’s only one BT on the Cloud of Darkness banner so already know who I’m gonna get but it was still really awesome to see a Burst orb anyway, especially since it feels like a long time since I last saw one.

Aside from the Cloud of Darkness’s Burst, this free draw also gave me a dupe of Edgar’s Ex and my very first copy of CoD’s Ex.

Wow! This was a really awesome free pull. Super pleased to see all of these.

In contrast to such a super special awesome free multi-draw on the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) banner 2, my free pull on banner 1 was very meh although I didn’t think so at first since I actually got a gold orb.

When I saw the gold orb, was hoping for something good. Unfortunately, only ended up with dupes of King’s 35cp and King’s Ex.

Sure, King’s Sphere gives a really high increase to the ATK stat but due to the activation condition, very few chars can make use of this so it’s not as good as it could be.

Ticket Pulls on the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) Banners

After getting the Cloud of Darkness’s Burst, was even more inclined now to throw tickets on her banner for her LD.

Also still eying Vayne’s banner for his LD. Currently have 517 tickets on hand. Hoping to get both LDs before I run out of tickets.

Opted to do a 10-pull first on one banner then switch to the second then go back to the first. Sometimes, I’d end up doing maybe 2 or so 10-pulls before going back to the other banner.

As usual, got lots of bronze and silver crap. Got some gold dupes as well, including a lot of dupes of King’s weapons.

At least I was also able to get like one or 2 copies of Iroha’s 15cp and 35cp. Got a few dupe Ex weapons although they weren’t always the ones with the good Spheres.

Thankfully, the Cloud of Darkness’s LD showed up eventually. Actually ended up getting 2 copies on a 10-draw.

Got a gold orb so was expecting the usual Ex dupe but was pleasantly surprised to get my first 2 copies of CoD’s LD.

Got no other golds on that 10-pull but it was fine. With the appearance of the Cloud of Darkness’s LD, I now have at least 1 copy of each of her weapons so done with this banner. Will just use Power Stones to limit break all of them.

There was no point in wasting any more tickets here, especially since I still don’t have Vayne’s LD. Have 457 tickets left when the Cloud of Darkness’s LD showed up.

Really pleased that she didn’t cost me that much at all. Hopefully, I can snag Vayne’s LD as well. His BT would be a nice bonus too but certainly not gonna chase after it with tickets.

So now I went back to the Vayne LD and BT banner. After a few more 10-pulls, got a gold orb. This one gave me 3 golds - dupes of Vayne’s 15cp and 35cp and -

My very first copy of Iroha’s LD! Pleased to have gotten her LD although I do wish this had been Vayne’s instead.

Have 407 tickets left when Iroha’s LD showed up.

After a lot more 10-pulls, got a gold orb and Vayne’s LD finally graced me with its presence.

So pleased it actually showed up. Was afraid I’d run out of tickets without being able to get it.

Now that I have Vayne’s LD, can finally be done with this banner. His BT didn’t show up but it’s fine.

It will be featured in a few more banners so might still have a chance of getting it. We’ll see, I guess.

Have 377 tickets left after Vayne’s LD showed up. Not bad at all. Really glad I still have some tickets left to toss on other banners in the hopes of acquiring more new LDs.

Vayne Carudas Solidor from Final Fantasy XII

Since I got Vayne’s LD, spent the Power Stones needed to fully MLB it. Bought his Bloom Stone and finished the rest of his Summon Boards.

Decided to hold off on giving him any of his Character Enhancement Boards for now since not sure yet how much I’ll be using him.

Already farmed for his perfect Artifacts before - triple ATK 108 with Imperial Consul Boost★★ (Raises MAX BRV, ATK by 5% with active buffs).

Cloud of Darkness from Final Fantasy III

Spent all the Power Stones needed to fully MLB all of the Cloud of Darkness’s weapons. Bought her Bloom Stone and finished all of her Summon Boards.

Like with Vayne, also decided to hold off on giving her any of her Character Enhancement Boards. Ah, if only the points needed to max out these Boards weren’t so scarce, would gladly max out both Vayne and CoD.

Never got to use the Cloud of Darkness before since I missed out on her Ex, LD, and BT so it was only now that I bothered to build her up.

This meant I also had 0 Artifacts for her. So had to farm the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) co-op and fuse for her Arts.

It took a while but was pleased to eventually be able to get triple of her preferred Artifacts - ATK 108 with Mediator of Light and Dark Boost★★ (Raises MAX BRV, ATK by 5% while Annulling Power active). Too bad 2 of them cost a whopping 15cp.

Conclusion

The Centipede by Rony V. Diaz

This story is all about a boy named Eddie. He is the younger brother of Delia. He is an animal and insect lover. Delia is Eddie's older sister. She has a weak heart and must never be surprised, and she always tries to get rid of those things that would make her brother Eddie happy. But despite that, Eddie still kept his patience with Delia, knowing about her health condition, and he was afraid that something bad might happen to her if he fought back. Delia was 8 when Eddie was born, and at the same time, their mother died. This could be one of the reasons Delia hates her brother Eddie. Delia may also feel jealous about Eddie getting more attention from their father. Their father would even go hunting with Eddie as their bonding.

The reason Eddie threw the centipede on her sister's lap was because his senses were clouded with hate. He returns to his senses and sees her sister down and writhing in pain.

Moral of this story: Forget and forgive each other before you regret at the end.

My first story

I get up out of bed to find you y/n up in the bathroom curling your hair....hey baby...good morning....what are you doing...y/n says oh your awake breakfast is on the table and you put your iron down pulling me in cupping my cheek and begans kissing my forehead teasing me...Maria...I have to go sweetheart ....i look in your /color pupils / and let out a groan and sigh okay only if you promise to take me out tonight your so lucky I have to go to work .....you chuckle at my sassyness and agree ...a few minutes later after dropping you off at the gym I began going to the airport to catch my 2 hour flight I was able to catch it in time it was getting ready to fly out to the destination Orlando Florida for a house show i had been wrestling for a year in nxt we met at pacho roni's pizzeria last year Tuesday 11:08 PM 2027 I am In the tag team division.....so looking out the window in my window seat on the plane i sigh thinking of if i was gonna ever meet your parents the flight attendant began to catch my gaze as i turn slowly my head towards her ..ma'am would you like anything I will take a martini just one please ...as she brings it back I began drifting off in my mind drowning in thought as I stare at the clouds...here's your martini have a nice flight ...thank you ma'am flight attendant lady....I chug the martini within seconds not caring if anyone watched I was acting reckless once again ....before I can order another martini you pop in my mind so I stop...5 minutes In on that plane and i was desperate to get off I hated planes I hated flying I began to take a nap... then all of a sudden when I woke up I almost ended up in Japan luckily a man awaken me to take a selfie i was a little famous ....when I arrived I caught a cab stopped and got donuts apple cider and some McDonald's i ordered a medium fry a Sprite and the mcgrittle It was good too .....when i got to the show i headed inside to my dressing room saying hi to a few friends my friends who some were hall of famers askana, London del Reye , trish stratus who was here for a little while , Pete dunne, sheamus, and kairi sane my tag team partner liv Morgan running up to me hey...hey liv...oh my God is that donuts...yep...I began giving liv gluten free donuts with a Starbucks order of a small latte mixed triple extravaganza Glenwood with whipped cream caramel and strawberry syrup and sprinkles it was livs favorite....she began tasting it making sure it was just right.....yep the good stuff ...nothing but the best....production guy yells liv Morgan Maria Kelly you guys are up soon against Dakota kai and aliyah ...I yell shoot...as I began running towards the costume designer jessie she helped me with my gear she just designed for me as Charlie demesiõ helped with my makeup and hairstylest kayleey put my extensions in just a little extensions...then ran back to liv Morgan we held hands telling eachother we got this and how awesome we both we headed out to the ring after livs cool entrance then It was my turn i take a deep breath as i hear my fans scream Kelly !! Kelly!! Kelly!! I put on a smile then go out and do my entrance i greet my fans and get in the ring winking at y/n as you are clapping and cheering for me I get in the ring on the rope as i hear the bell ring liv vs aliyah pops off I clapped for liv to show support and love once aliyah hit liv with clotheslines after clotheslines I distract the ref giving time for liv to get up she attacks aliyah ripping out her extensions she tags me I put aliyah in the corner i give her 2 chops and breaks skin i began tiring her out with the fans trying to encourage aliyah to tag out when she got up gaining momentum i slap her as hard as I can putting her in a submission hold wearing her out putting her in between the ropes pulling her arms back as she begans to tap In excruciating pain I cheer as the ring announcer says and your winner is liv Morgan and Maria Kelly I hug liv as we celebrate I go to ringside and kiss you as me and liv leaving the ring going backstage happy as hell pt2 coming up
