i hate to harsh on anyone's fun, especially when it comes to reading — after all, any reading is better for the mind than no reading. but there is something real weird about the "booktok" - "reading challenge" - "book a week" mindset.
like, lets ignore the fact that this idea originated as a way to keep grade schoolers reading outside of class, that's a can of worms i don't even want to dive into. the act of reading that much alone is off putting to me. you're reading a whole book every week? you're trying to do this? are you retaining anything?
the goal shouldnt be to read just to have a big number at the end of the year... why can't you just read for fun and engagement with ideas...
having a goal is probably helpful to get yourself actually sitting down with a book in hand, but like. a book a month maybe.
this is to say nothing of the material being read. like i said, reading at all is better than no reading, but cmon. i don't think reading though every YA/romfic author's book in a year is not really comparable to digesting one or two more substantial books. not even because most of those YA books are written in 9 months, but like. what do you actually get from ripping through 300 pages of plot in 7 days?

It's some sort of programming book. You don't care much for programming, but you've adapted it as a FANFICTION JOURNAL. You've filled it up completely with your most colorful headcanons and romfics. You've also pasted in some of your artwork, turning a rather dreary manual on some morbid, tilde-heavy language into a lively scrapbook. Many of the stories involve Callie, and all of them involve heavy themes of romance. Particularly the other three quadrants which are completely alien to you, and therefore especially titillating.

I have made Ao3 search do my dark bidding.
Often,I want to read romfic about a particular character, but I don’t care who they were paired with. One of my great annoyances is that there’s no good way to search for that. For example, you can search for the character’s tag, but you’re as likely as not to find fics about completely different pairings that have nothing to do with that character.
But I’ve found a way to search for that.
“Character/”
Including the quote marks. I’ll have to double check how well it works, but it seems to work pretty well? Only problem I’ve encountered so far is a tendency to include “Character & Other Character” which is way less annoying than “Not who you were looking for/Also not who you were looking for”.

I take this as the superhero question and manipulating probability, hands down. My other one is that I had the ability to do cool stuff consistently.

I have 700+ friends on facebook and honestly, I don’t like a number of them so I honestly don’t see the point of more of that group.
4. Have you ever gotten something as a present that you really DIDN’T want?
Nope. I honestly liked everything and I guess this is funny because gifts aren’t really a thing in my life so when I get them, I am always super stoked.
5. Did you sleep with a stuffed animal growing up, and how old were you when you stopped? If you STILL sleep with one, how old are you? (this isn’t a shame thing, bc I’m 24 and I sleep with one his name is William and I love him, I’m just curious about other people’s experience I promise)

Basically use this recipe, but where they say brown sugar...
Take the same amount of sugar and melt it in a small pot. Have about 100mL of water ready. Melt the sugar and add the water (IT WILL SPLASH). Then cool the syrup and add that to the mix.
10. How much caffeine do you drink every day, on average?
Depends sooooo much. I have a black tie (cold brew) or latte (one shot) or hot cocoa (minimal) sometimes. I generally drink tea so.... *math happens*

11. What’s your favorite interesting story to bust out at parties/when meeting new people? and/or What’s your favorite humble-brag story?
So once upon a time, I went to Mexico. I ended up sitting with a young tiger that was apparently too dependent on humans to be rehabbed. Sounded sketchy AF so I was hesitant and I wasn’t down, but my parents kept pushing so I finally said yes, before I saw the bad end of it. I settled down and everything was gonna be okay. Bam, tiger is biting my bra and I have a handler looking a little scared before he asks if it’s okay to start massaging the little tiger’s jaw. The tiger let go and to this day, I have the bra and no scars.
Note, I’m not old enough to drink at that point, so I was totally sober and the tiger thing was not my idea. It was soft n’ cute though and I love big kitties. I hope they are okay.
