Superlatives ft. Rhaenys and Corlys

Who spends all their money on the other? Corlys, obviously. He’s the richest man in Westeros and wants everyone to know that… by clothing his wife in all those riches.

Who sleeps in the other’s lap? Rhaenys. She’s a tall woman, but her husband is an even taller man. She fits against him perfectly.

Who walks around the house half-naked and who yells at them to put on clothes? Bold of you to assume they would be mad at each other for being half-naked.

Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway? Rhaenys just wants Corlys to come to bed and Corlys ends up reading the Westerosi equivalent of a trashy romance novel.

Which one tries to make food for the other but burns it all by accident and which one tells them it’s okay and makes them both cookies? @youleavethetardisbrakeson has a whole thing about Corlys cooking and Rhaenys being ✨befuzzled✨ about the whole thing, so I’m just gonna go with that one.

Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes? RHAENYS. The clothes smell like Corlys, are three sizes too big for her and let her run around the castle like the feral dragon lady that she is.

Which one spends all day running errands and which one says, “You remembered [thing], right?” The… servants?

Which one does the posing while the other draws? Rhaenys does the posing and Corlys does the drawing. She is his greatest muse.

Which one likes to surprise the other with a lot of small random gifts? Corlys. He’s rich and has zero (0) problems about spending his money on his wife. Expensive fabrics look better on her, anyway.

Which one screams about the spider and which one brings it outside? Corlys does the screaming or the “manly gasping.” Rhaenys looks at the spider and goes, “a new friend!”

Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other? Corlys. This man has been SMITTEN by Rhaenys since day one. She’s the only one who can win him back from the sea.

Who comes home to see that the other brought a puppy? Corlys. Rhaenys loves all animals and will take in any that she can get her hands on. Except for crabs. Never crabs.

Which one gives the other a piggyback ride when they’re tired? Corlys. He often uses it as another excuse for some physical contact. Plus, having Rhaenys wrapped around his back brings him comfort in the knowledge that she’s safe with him.

My Aasimar and Teifling Buddy Comedy Brainworm: Backstory

I really wanna use my aasimar twilight domain cleric Belou and his buddy Mavvir for something again.

Belou's backstory is that he was raised in a remote idyllic town, and is decended from its revered founder.

The whole town is part of a religion that Belou's ancestor led, based off a holy book he found one night in his darkest hour of need. Belou's family are thus respected religious leaders.

He grew up with everyone having these huge expectations for him since he is the town's chosen one, a scourge aasimar fortold by prophecy to be the one who will wage holy war in their god's name against the infernal forces of the infernal and blasphemous outside world.

✨But here's the kicker✨

The holy book that Belou's ancestor found was actually written as a practical joke/creative writing exercise by a group of gods. The diety his whole town worships does not exist.

Mind you, other gods in this realm are very real and are liable to interfere with mortal lives for shits and giggles, but this one is pure fiction even in universe.

Needless to say, Belou has some issues from being raised in this environment.

So, our good man decides to see a bit of the world. Get an understanding of this wretched place he will one day wage holy war against. Totally not running away from the pressure he's being put under, no siree!

He's been away from home for about a week before he meets Mavvir, a young teifling scholar. Mavvir spends all of 10 minutes talking to Belou before going "Oh, that god? Yeah, they're not real. One of my cousins is in service to one of the gods who wrote that "holy" book and managed to get a copy that includes notes from the authors. Actually, lemme show you, we'll stop by my family's library."

Bam, his whole world view gets turned on its head. Mavvir's frankly outragiously large family sets him up with a nice room to have his breakdown in, and once he gets past the "my whole life is a lie and my entire town would happily see the world burn in the name of a god that never existed" thing he has an epiphany.

He can be just some dude. He can chill.

He's not even a scourge aasimar like his town thought, he's a protector. He could just... chill with his really nice new buddy Mav and see the world that he was kept from for so long. No more grand destiny. No more paladin training. No more crushing expectations. No bloody crusade of "holy justice". Just a guy living life and trying to spread good vibes with his bestie.

Cue Bel and Mav, riding off into the sunset to look at cool rocks and live out their epic bromance (romance?).

Wip introduction: Tears of Iron

Synopsis: Hal, Zephyr, Skye and Leander founded the new Dragon Knight Academy on the Flying Islands. and yes hehe, the ships are ALL OVER THE PLACE one’s going to antartica while one’s going to florida or smth idk. but my goal is to just pull on everyone’s strings with that one since i don’t really plan to focus on the romance that much, it’s really more of a slice of life story with shitty people in the mix or smth. but there wILL be an endgoal boy. the key is that even i don’t know who it is 🥴❓ makes it more unpredictable, no? but it probably won’t be until long. i plan on focusing on every character and give them beautiful developments so that’s how many arcs(?) 😀, probs overambitious here but i’m excited to try and make a longer smau after rushing my previous ones + i have a lot of notes for EHALOJ from when i started planning it a long time ago so i already have a basis for season 2 once i start it in the VERY DISTANT FUTURE.

i made INTEOTW yeji the way she is to make up for the fact that she’s one of the antagonists in this story :,). that’s kind of like my own pattern, i want balance. also hyunjin being gaslit by his own sister 😔💔💔💔.

and also thank you!!! that means a lot. ngl, i feel like i overdo it(??) like, i want villains to be “real people” and not outright “people made to be villains” ifykwim, i don’t want them to be hated because “hey i’m obviously a shitty person!!!” but because they’re complex and not some 2d bond villain. but idk, maybe i didn’t really have a choice with EHALOJ yeji because SHE IS just like that 🤔. hyunjin is in mental turmoil even. probably my favorite “antagonist” moment would have to be dark seungmin in the earliest chapters. but thank you for the compliments, i love writing dialogue, even my editor irl (for my non-tumblr works) always compliments my dialogue dynamic writing so that’s why i stuck to smaus, it’s just dialogue all the time 🤪. i was a bit afraid the EHALOJ might be a bit too dark to garner any attention (bc nobody wants to see their faves antagonized, valid) but i’m glad i took the risk, it was hard to get through but it’s honestly one of my hate-favorite works and i’m glad others seem to enjoy the twists and turns too despite the obvious lack of focus in the romance.

AND YES I FIXED THE LINKS. SOMEBODY ELSE POINTED IT OUT. HOW EMBARRASSING. MY QUALITY CONTROL IS GETTING BAD 😭💔
