Loved the portrayal of change as a choice in Evelyn's character arc tbh ... Her having the ability to go through such Major change set up by the fact she's never chased down any of her passions through life and has all these dropped hobbies and missed potential and instead of having all of her eggs in one basket, has nothing, and could step in any direction she chooses and make a major change no matter what.

The way she clings to believing the need for change is unnecessary when, even after hearing that she's died in other universes, that Jobu Tupaki was pushed too far by her, and watching this alternate version of her own daughter leave carnage in her wake; she still puts the blame for her current life and the misery in her relationship with her daughter, on Jobu Tupaki; and tells herself that by defeating her, everything will go the way it should with no change on her part.

The way by the end, she realizes that standing by and watching her life fall into place and accepting her role as forever being stuck in a cycle of watching short-lived passions burn out and never reaching for what she cares about, and never making that active choice to change, harms not only her but the people around her. Joy through the multiverse made the choice to seek change, and went through countless universes seeking a version of her mother who would hear her out, and finally make an active choice, but for that active choice to be the climax of the rift between them, caused by their passive actions, and for Evelyn to push Joy away and let her die.

Instead, Evelyn for the first time reaches out and chases what she wants and what she cares about. And Joy happens to be what she cares about enough to break her cycle of watching her passions, her unfinished hobbies, her career opportunities, her possible lives, just slip away. And she makes her active choice to change, and reaches out and holds onto what she loves.

Somethings wrong w me why am I so upset still. I think it's just like. The thing that is upsetting about Hashimada is the percieved closeness of it all. Madara thought Hashirama saw him as meaning as much as his own blood, him forcing Hashirama to choose between killing himself or his brother to prove his loyalty, and Hashirama choosing himself. Madara sees this and thinks Hashirama is willing to give it all up for him, but Hashirama choosing to spare his brother is what Madara misses. And he lives for years believing Hashirama sees him as family, and probably sees Hashirama as family as well. Which makes their inevitable fight so much more devastating. Bc yeah, Madara is killed by the one person he CHOSE to trust rather than being born with a familial bond. But in that moment he realizes that, like himself, Hashirama values his siblings over his own life, and bc of his choosing to sacrifice only himself and not his brother, didn't see Madara on the same level as his family. and at the same time, Madara is killed by the only family that he thought he had left, after fighting tooth and nail as he watched the rest of his family die one by one in war. Like.. It's the misconception that trust and unconditional love exists between them which is then shattered. Madara even brought Hashirama down to the Uchiha stone tablet and everything. He was his blood to him and aside from his clan, all Madara had left. And in the end Madara died fighting what he lived to protect

By the way I hope you guys don't mind if I don't answer all asks with a sketch, I'm extremely busy with school and other things in my life as well as having art block, so I can't really draw as often as I want to. I do want to answer your questions! I just don't really have the energy or time to be drawing out responses to everything

Hear me out: I think if Éomer had joined the Fellowship rather than Boromir, his plotline would've been similar.

Imagine if Éomer, disenchanted, frustrated, and at his wit's end with the mysterious spell Théoden was under due to Saruman/Wormtongue, somehow heard about the Council of Elrond and traveled to Rivendell to seek advice or even a means of healing for Théoden. Imagine if Éomer was chosen to represent the race of Men in the Fellowship.

Like Boromir, Éomer is desperate to save his land from the corruption, destruction, and desolation that is pressing in. Éomer feels the heavy weight of responsibility to stand up for the good and right in place of his uncle and father figure who has fallen to some delusion. Just as Boromir feels for Gondor, Éomer of Rohan is passionate about protecting his people, his beloved sibling, his homeland. He has the qualities of a leader, is proactive, ready to step up and be king himself if/when the need arises. And both of them them are action-oriented heroes who take delight in the glory of conquest.

I can see Éomer in the same place of desperation as Boromir. Maybe the Ring could save his uncle! Surely he, Éomer, a noble man, could wield the Ring's power to take down the awful Wormtongue and bring him to justice! Perhaps this thought would eat at his mind as the days passed, as it did to Boromir.

So all I'm saying is that I really think Éomer would have much the same plotline as Boromir had he been at the Council of Elrond/included in the Fellowship. I know you can't really replace the character of Boromir with Éomer without doing some major changing to the whole story, and by no means am I saying it should be that way. I just think that it's simply the fact that Éomer did not know about the Ring and was not in close proximity to it nor closely involved with the quest surrounding it, that his story takes him high while Boromir's story took him low. I believe the two of them are similar in temperament and motive, so similar that Éomer could've met the same fate as Boromir had he been in that position.

    Rohan who’s so so bad at expressing his feelings. Minimal pda in public, rare occasions where he tells you he loves you early in the mornings in bed or late at night in the kitchen, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you.

You’ll find it in the little gestures. Buying you gifts he knows you’ve been eyeing and then rolling his eyes when you bring it up. Sometimes you’ll wake up with more money than you remember in your bank account, and he’ll deny it (although who else would’ve given you so much to go out shopping with your friends?) 

    When he’s working at his desk you find yourself sitting close by, maybe reading or even sketching something yourself. You plop your legs into his lap and although he scoffs, his unoccupied hand is soon tracing circles over your ankle and tugging your chair closer to his to ask for your opinion. 

    His affection is also very teasing, doing things he knows will make your eyes light up and your cheeks grow warm. Candid sketches of you doing the most mundane of activities can be found scattered around his desk, occasionally there’ll be ones he asked you to pose for: “Mm, no raise your head a little more” “To the left…” “No too far.” then finally you angle yourself just right. “Perfect! You’re perfect! Now stay still dear.” he points his pen at you.

ignore how literally almost every square is filled i have problems i have problems i have problems. symptoms of projection is only marked bc i need to look like him i prommy. he is marked twice as head empty/stupid and head full/smart bc on the one hand who comes up with as convoluted a plan as orchestrate plot to isolate and sidekickify my descendant and then mind control with the moon but also whyd he like pull it off absolutely perfectly tho even when everyone turned against him LOL

I think it's insanely hilarious that I'm getting my autism assessment on my alter birthday. Happy birthday Rohan, here's some autism!

The problem with Ren and Nora dating in RWBY is that the writers accidentally made both of them autistic coded and didn't realize this and then you end up with them having conflict because their original dynamic had them understanding each others idiosyncrasies to the point where you never saw one without the other, and in getting together even further, for this to change their estabalished dynamic at all outside of being more affectionate towards one another, they had to incite some conflict, which is hard when your characters understand each other and communicate so well, where they hardly even do verbally and it's an unspoken thing. So because this unnecessary development is made, the concflict incited between them stems from Nora needing Ren to be more emotionally open with her and communicate better with her, and Ren seeing Nora as too clingy and too emotional for him, which goes against their estabalished dynamic. They've been joined at the hip for years since childhood and we've never seen either of them be annoyed by this in each other, you'd even think that if this was an issue, they'd be aware of it before stumbling into a relationship. But instead we're shown these two characters who have such a good level of unspoken communication, suddenly not understand each other or each other's communication styles at all. Anyway Ren and Nora are qpps and their dynamic didn't ever have to change and Ren is aroace in this essay I will-
