Oh, I’m absolutely living for it. Joon is such a sweetheart and sometimes it kills me that he’s my bias because I struggle, genuinely struggle, to talk about him.
Which brings me to your second ask. Recently, a kind person from Tumblr (KPFT), sent me this link. I hope that snippet gives you a glimpse into what Korean art means for him and how it impacts others around him.
If you hear the way my Korean professor talks about Joon, you’d think he parted the Red Sea and turned water into wine or something. But a lot of Korean people, regular people and those in the arts, have a huge respect for Namjoon because he’s genuinely all about it. He loves Korea, loves Korean art, and wants to amplify the voices of Korean women and men. And the best part of it, at least for me, is that I’ve watched him for years to see how almost all his knowledge is self-taught. It’s a true passion for him and he’s changed the lives of so many people (Korean publishers, artists and authors) in the process.
He’s flawed, obviously, like we all are, but everything I’ve observed in him for the last 12 years reinforces for me that he’s a remarkably decent man.
I expect to see more Korean art influences in RM4. His photo dumps recently make me wonder if we’ll get more retro genres or something more avant garde. Joon seems to have a preference for alt-hiphop with heavy bass lines like we hear in Joke and Sexy Nukim, but he’s also a softie for stripped back acoustic pieces. I don’t know what we’ll get but I do know it will be inspired by his experiences and the music will be good. As always.

KUALA LUMPUR, 3rd January 2024 — Acclaimed South Korean indie rock quartet The Rose is finally coming to Malaysia for their first appearance here in years!
Organised by Lo-Fi Entertainment, The Rose Dawn to Dusk Tour in Kuala Lumpur 2024 will be rocking Mega Star Arena, KL on 31st January at 8.30 p.m.
Kuala Lumpur is among the very few Southeast Asian stops for the tour, which takes the band to arenas and venues in cities across North America, Europe and Asia as they belt out a range of hits for their fandom known as ‘Black Roses’.
Members of The Rose – composed of vocalist and guitarist Kim Woosung, keyboardist and vocalist Park Dojoon, drummer Lee Hajoon and bassist Lee Jaehyeong – met through the busking scene in Seoul.
The band, which is under their own label Windfall in partnership with Transparent Arts, is known for their emotion-filled English and Korean songs such as Back to Me, Red, She’s in the Rain and debut single Sorry that propelled them to fame.
Apart from being a collective, every member has also made waves in the industry as individuals – Woosung is featured with the late Ryuichi Sakamoto on a track by Agust D, also known as Suga of BTS, and was cast as a voice actor in an Ali Wong-led animated series, while Dojoon, Hajoon and Jaehyeong have made appearances in K-dramas and web series.
Having played Lollapalooza in Chicago, Sweden, Brazil, Chile and Argentina, as well as Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and BST Hyde Park in England, they have been named Band of the Year at Brazil’s Prêmio Annual K4US in 2022.
To date, The Rose has released two studio albums Heal and Dual, two EPs Void and Dawn, one single album Red, along with numerous singles that made a mark on global top charts.

OK, HI UNCLE NINA!! So, when I read rm4 oh so long ago and thought abt like Stan's grandpas coat jacket- whatever, yk what i'm talking about, I made a silly lil hc pertaining to the TFBW game. So like imagine all the lil kiddies are running around, having a blast or whatever the sp kids do when they play superheroes. And that day Toolshed brought his coat for one particular reason. Or two, actually.
"To make sure you stay warm while flying around, Kite! And- and look cool doing it."
IDK just a thought that he made a habit of giving Human Kite his jacket often, and Kite did usually make a fuss over it, but couldn't reject it.

Tips ke Pulau Pangkor.
1. Naik feri -
Ada 2 choice, either naik dari Marina Island atau Jeti Lumut.
i) Dari Marina Island - perjalanan lebih singkat (~10 min), compare dari Lumut (~30min)
ii) Dari Lumut - boleh tengok kapal-kapal TLDM
iii) Harga sama - RM10/way (price info on 14/9/22)
2. Haritu naik dari Jeti Lumut, banyak parking area, samada tepi2 jalan atau tempat parking berjaga. Park tepi jalan RM4/day, kalau tempat berbayar 1day RM20.
3. Coklat di Teluk Nipah lebih mahal, boleh beli berdekatan jeti Pulau Pangkor. Ada beberapa kedai boleh survey.
4. Transport lebih baik sewa skuter, tapi kalau ada family, boleh sewa kereta. Recommend scooter sebab jalan raya sempit & susah parking kalau nak berhenti dikedai.
5. Chalet dekat teluk nipah menarik, banyak streetshop & dekat dengan pantai.
