Crowley always seems to be looking at the bigger picture, creating the stars, letting rocks swim in gases so they become planets. As a demon, he does that London ringroad thing which is constant stream of angry people on the highway to hell. He's a long term planner that one, no instant gratification, which is what will keep me going till S3, knowing that eventually those rocks and gases become planets and that eventually, they'll be a group of us.

I picked my battlemage orc, Gonna-Kick ur Ass's game back up on Saturday (the Gent had a prior commitment and the weather was too nasty to do anything outside).
Having him be amnesiac is great because I cannot remember wtf I was doing the last time I launched his game. He was sat at the Chorral Fighter's Guild table for breakfast (I've been roleplaying a bit more in this game, so actually eating food items for three main meals, sleeping at night etc), and speaking to Oreyn revealed Kicks had to pick between going to Cheydinhal or Anvil for further contracts.
As an orc, Kicks would feel more comfortable in Cheydinhal (and also I fancied doing the Corruption and Conscience quest) so I headed towards the main gate. On the way out Kicks was distracted by a man seeming distressed running into the Grey Mare, so went to investigate.
Within, he meets Valus Odiil worrying about his boys trying to defend their farm but also runs back into Guilbert Jemane. The Jermane brothers revealed that the exact location of their family farm had been lost, and could Kicks help them find it? He likes the brothers... well, he likes Guilbert at least, so off we went, back to the fighter's guild, to talk to Sabine Laul who knows where the farm is. She obliges, so it's off to Weatherleah and some orc killing.
Once the brothers were safely ensconced on the farm and Kicks had a good night's rest, off we went, bound for Cheydinhall.
Kicks is not good at wayfinding. Kicks has trouble remembering the cardinal directions. Kicks got lost a lot trying to ride from Weatherleah through the Great Forest to the Red Ringroad (I was feeling tired and a bit stupid). No worries, we eventually made it to the road, and killed a couple of opportunistic bandits on the way up to Sercen, the Ayleid ruin at the point where the Silver rd meets the Red rd.
Kicks was ready for the bandits. Kicks was not ready for the minotaur. As the first of the arrows struck his horse, he dismounted and ran towards the ruin. Then there was a whinny behind him, and he whirled to see his horse being attacked by the minotaur.
The horse ran off. The minotaur ran off. The bandits ran off.
Kicks stood stupidly in the middle of the road for a moment, before lumbering off after them. But he was in heavy plate, carrying the spoils of previous battles and a heavy mace. There was no chance he was ever going to catch up in time.
By the time he arrived, his horse was dead, one of the bandits had been killed by the minotaur, the minotaur was on its last legs and easily dispatched and the bandit archer was hiding in fear until Kicks turned up and then took her out too.
So there he is, not even noon, and his day is screwed. He has to walk the rest of the way to Cheydinhall (part of the RP is trying not to reload saves and no quick travel).
Stoicly, off he trundles and makes the Roxey in by noon, so he stops in for lunch. There, he learns about some mage terrorising the area. But alas, there's no time to help; he needs to make it to Cheydinhal. However, while eating, he does run into Pranal, the Heavy Armour trainer. After pestering Pranal with ale and dinner, the retired soldier gives in and says that he'd train Kicks on the condition he finds a nice set of silver glasses and a carafe for the woman Pranal is interested in. It's a fair trade, so Kicks takes it.
With that settled, Kicks makes his way to Cheydinhal. Halfway up the Blue rd, with night closing in, it starts to rain. The rain soon turns into a rolling thunderstorm, so it's a cold, wet, tired and thus very grumpy orc who meets another pair of bandits almost outside the city gates. Needless to say, they do not last long.
The porter greets Kicks with a towel and a smile as he trails mud and rainwater into the Fighter's Guildhouse. Upstairs, he sheds his armour and changes into nearly dry clothes. A hot dinner and some good conversation go someway to chasing away the woes of the day, and Keld tells Kicks that the horsemaster outside the city has beasts for sale.
Come morning, it's still drizzling and damp, but Kicks makes a good sale to Borba gra-Uzgash of the crap he's been toating around and forgets all about bitching Keld was making about the fines once Burz gro-Khash gives him his next assignment; he's to go back to Leyawin county, to a village called Water's Edge. On his way out of town, he stops to enquire about the cost of a horse but discovers that, even with the sales he made, 5000 gold is still too rich for his blood. He'll be making his way to Leyawiin on foot...

xxx. apa yang bisa menutup seri ini?
ternyata kita sampai di angka 30 dan ... yah. wah. ternyata bisa nulis postingan blog selama tiga puluh hari berturut-turut juga ya.
hari ini ada cerita apa, ya.
di kantor nggak ada yang istimewa, selain banyak kawan-kawan yang tidak nampak karena mereka menghadiri workshop di kota sebelah.
pulang kerja aku jalan-jalan.
maksudku ... bener-bener jalan-jalan.
dari kantor, aku membawa motorku menyusuri ringroad, ambil jalan memutar, mampir ke sana-sini. total jarak yang kutempuh dari kantor ke rumah, yang biasanya +-18 km, hari ini jadi ... +-39 km ....... kebanting banget jumlahnya. dua kali lipat wkwk. aku bener-bener KELILING. dari utara, ke timur, ke selatan, ke barat ... XD untungnya cuacanya kesukaanku: mendung. mungkin itu jugalah yang membuatku meneruskan rencana keliling naik motor ini. dan aku pilih jalan yang, walaupun nggak lenggang, tapi nggak macet juga. jadi bisa berada di kecepatan standarku biasanya.
sebetulnya hari ini ada kabar buruk yang kuterima, tapi aku nggak ingin membahasnya. tapi sekalipun berusaha kusingkirkan, tetap saja susah ya ... hanya saja, walaupun aku sedih, aku nggak bisa membayangkan kesedihan seseorang yang terdampak langsung dari peristiwa tersebut & nggak ada pilihan untuk menyingkirkan diri darinya (kabar buruk itu). kawan, semoga kamu kuat & tabah.
hari ini masih ada yang perlu kulakukan, yaitu menyelesaikan satu hal. lalu aku akan istirahat & melanjutkan hari. awal februari ini sepertinya akan padat. bismillah.
dengan ini 30hbc selesai. <3 mengenai pertanyaan yang kujadikan judul, apa yang bisa menutup seri ini? kabar baik ada, kabar buruk ada, tanggungan ada, capaian ada ... ya, isinya adalah hidup. rasanya sama kayak perasaan selesai menuntaskan nulis random tahun lalu: kegiatan menulis setiap hari & membagikan hari/perasaanku membuat aku jadi bisa lebih mengapresiasi hari ini.
nggak ada sebuah kesimpulan dramatis, "bulan ini adalah bulan paling buruk," atau, "ini kegagalanku paling menyedihkan" dan lain-lain. kayak kata chinmi di kungfu boy mengenai mindset tentang hari yang buruk: satu hari yang sulit, tapi begitu berlalu, itu hanyalah satu hari yang panjang.
ini bukan berarti aku "menyepelekan" ketika aku dapat kabar buruk/baik dan memaksakan diri jadi lempeng terhadap respons ekspresif ya. aku hanya merasa pesan itu cocok buatku yang apa-apa pesimis & skeptis terhadap masa depan.

Random Post (Dora The Explorer Part 1)
Pengen cerita deh. Aslinya udah sempet curcol dikit di twitter, tapi pada akhirnya pengen juga nulis di sini.
Kemarin lusa aku ke rumah mbak Z, eh rumahnya yang bareng suaminya maksudnya, bukan rumah orang tuanya. Kesana dalam rangka forum ngaji pekanan. Biasanya tempatnya di deket kampus UIN, sekarang ganti di rumah mbak Z dikarenakan kehamilan mbak Z sudah semakin besar. Suaminya gak kasih izin kalau tempatnya jauh dan motoran sendirian kesananya, jadilah kami yang ke rumah mbak Z. Tempatnya jauh di Sleman, di daerah Mlati, deket Cebongan.
Pengalaman pekan sebelumnya, aku kesana nyasar dan satu jam baru nyampe di sana, karena hujan juga. Di gmaps tulisannya 30 menit, realitanya jadi satu jam, sama aja dua kali lipatnya ya, hehe. Padahal itu lewat ringroad dan aku ngebutnya udah gak kira-kira karena ngejar waktu biar gak telat, 80 km/jam di jalanan ringroad sempet rasanya kek mau terbang kalau ga seimbang. Nah temenku yg lain nyasar juga, bahkan kebablasan jauh banget sampe Jalan Magelang KM 10 lebih kalau ga salah wkwkw parah banget. Karena nyasar jauh banget dan gmaps nya mereka error, akhirnya aku jemput mereka di tempat mereka nyasar, waktu itu hujannya udah mulai reda jadi sotoy banget gak pake jaket karena lagi dijemur dan hanya berbekal jas hujan. Lumayan ternyata, sekira 20 menit perjalanan dari rumah mbak Z. Terus lanjut balik lagi ke tempat mbak Z, masih gerimis cantik dan hawanya dingin pwoll, akhirnya pakai mantel lagi. Lumayan juga, hampir setengah jam perjalanan ke rumah mbak Z karena jalannya lebih jauh. Dan tau gak akhirnya gimana? Pada akhirnya kami gak jadi ngaji wkwkwk.. Ya Allah, kocak banget sih kalau diinget. Jadi disana akhirnya kami cuma numpang sholat ashar, minum, makan jajan terus balik pulang.
Jam 5 otw dari rumah mbak Z. Karena kami gak tau arah jalan pulang yang terdekat, akhirnya dianterin mbak Z sampai ke daerah Cebongan (kalau gak salah inget). Berhubung jalan pulang ke arah tempatku sama temenku beda, akhirnya kami misah di jalan. Itu dalam keadaan hujan yang lumayan deras dan akhirnya pake mantel lagi. Aku lanjutin perjalanan berbekal arahan mbak Z. Awalnya sempet takut nyasar lagi kan, tapi aku coba ngikutin plang yang ada di jalanan dan mengandalkan insting aja. Karena kan ini perjalanan pulang, aku sendirian dan gak ada yang nungguin aku cepet-cepet, jadinya aku bisa nyantai. Alhamdulillah bisa juga aku jalan tanpa nyasar, sampai rumah selamat, walau ya jadinya lebih lama sih karena ada mampir ke ATM juga. Kurang lebih satu jam perjalanan pulang. Jadi total seharian itu, kurleb 3 jam habis perjalanan di jalan, dan itu dalam keadaan hujan. Tapi entah kenapa aku kayak happy aja gitu, karena bisa pulang dengan selamat tanpa pakai maps dan cuma ngandelin insting aja..
Nah itu pengalaman pekan lalu. Pengalaman yang baru aja kemarin lusa ternyata lebih berkesan lagi, pemirsa. Sampe yang bener-bener menguras emosi dan air mata. Pulangnya aku nangis sesenggukan di kamar, saking udah memuncak banget emosinya wkwkw..
Acara jam 10, aku berangkat dan jam 8 lewat. Karena aku nge jemput temenku dulu (lebih tepatnya guruku sih ya) dan kosannya dari rumahku jaraknya mayan jauh, perjalanan 30 menit kurleb. Aku dari arah selatan, ke arah UIN Sambilegi. Masih aman tuh sampai kosan beliau, gak ada nyasar sama sekali. Terus dari sana, lanjut ke rumah mbak Z, perjalanan kurleb 40 menit. Itu udah termasuk ngebut 80 km/jam, terus juga sempet nyasar di ringroad Barat. Alhamdulillah misi berhasil, malahan yang seharusnya jam 10 paling lambat sampe sana dan dimulai ngajinya, ini kami jam setengah sepuluh teng udah sampe di tempat mbak Z.
Nah dramanya itu pas perjalanan pulang. Jujur ya, aku pulang dalam keadaan laper tapi gak ada yang bisa aku makan. Biasa lah, makanan yang bisa aku makan kan terbatas, jadi ya gitu.. Aku cuma minum aja dan gak makan apapun sebelum pulang dari rumah mbak Z.
Entah kenapa aku dari awal sebenernya udah feeling agak gak enak, jadi sebelum jalan pulang dan masih di rumah mbak Z, aku udah ngeluarin maps tuh. Udah ancang-ancang pake maps dan bakalan manut semua apa kata gmaps, sama sekali gak berharap apapun sama beliau yang aku bonceng, karena beliau gak bisa baca maps (sebut saja beliau ini adalah mbak A). Eh lha kok, mbak Z lihat tuh aku buka maps. Mbak Z bilang, "Mbok ya gak usah pake maps, coba latihan gak pake maps. Biar hapal jalannya". Aku jawab kalau aku sama sekali gak paham jalan, kecuali jalan yang keluar dari rumah mbak Z sampai pohon beringin. Itu belum ada seperempat perjalanan, which is masih jauh banget, aku sebenernya gamau ambil resiko nyasar makanya dari awal udah prepare gmaps. Terus mbak Z bilang, "Kan ada mbak A, nanti mbak A bisa lah nunjukin jalan arahnya kemana. Kan kemarin udah aku tunjukin juga..". Okelah suaraku kalah, akhirnya anak bawang ini manut juga sama mbak Z.
Pas di jalan, mulai tuh dramanya. Aku kan gajadi nyalain gmaps nya, aku percaya sama mbak A bakalan nunjukin jalan. Belum terlalu jauh dari rumah mbak Z, eh taunya tiba-tiba beliau bilang kurleb gini, "Dek, ini anti pakai maps?". Aku jawab kalau aku gak pakai maps, aku balik tanya emangnya kenapa? Mbak A jawab kalau kayaknya udah kelewatan jalannya dan salah belok, beliau kira aku ini tau jalan dan pakai maps. Padahal tadi jelas-jelas sebelum berangkat aku gak jadi make maps, dan udah bilang juga kalau aku minta tolong dikasih tau jalannya. Ternyata aku gak dikasih tau, karena mbak A takut salah dan beliau ngira aku ini pakai gmaps. Nah pas ini sebenernya aku belum ngeluarin maps, karena jalannya masih gampang, dan aku manut arahan dari beliau. Dari situ aku udah mulai kesel sebenernya, tapi aku masih slow gitu, berusaha banget gak nunjukin emosi apapun walau sebenernya aku udah laper banget, emosi juga udah mulai campur aduk. Tapi bingung juga mau mampir berhenti di mana buat beli makan, karena jujur jalannya masih ndeso gitu dan jarang ada orang jualan makanan pinggir jalan gitu. Baru ada yang jualan pinggir jalan sekira 10 menit setelah itu. Okelah, ayok jalan lagi aja pikirku gitu.
Lanjut jalan, gak ada sampai 10 menit, kami berhenti lagi. Mbak A bilang, "Kayaknya kita salah jalan deh dek, coba kita berhenti dulu, aku mau tanya orang dulu". Okelah aku akhirnya berhenti, sambil buka gmaps. Pas aku lihat di gmaps, jalannya bener kok ternyata, sesuai perkiraanku jalannya masih lurus. Dari situ jujur udah mulai tambah kesel, masih berusaha banget buat gak nunjukin emosi, cuma diem aja bisanya. Setelah nanya sama tukang tambal ban, lumayan sih agak paham jalan jadinya. Aku berusaha nyimak banget apa yang bapak itu sampein, dan alhamdulillah lumayan paham. Akhirnya bisa tuh lanjut jalan lagi, tapi gmaps tetep aku nyalain. Jaga-jaga deh pokoknya, aku gamau nyasar lagi.
Btw ini postingannya kayaknya udah panjang banget ga sih? Padahal ceritanya masih panjang banget lho wkwkw.. Aku jadiin dua part aja deh ya, soalnya ini juga aku mau pergi terapi dulu jadi gabisa lanjutin nulis lagi sekarang. Semisal ternyata tulisan random ini bikin penasaran kelanjutannya gimana, mohon bersabar untuk nungguin part duanya ya.. Dijamin bakalan lebih bikin kesel daripada part ini wkwkw
