I am considerably less excited for Yakuza 8 now with Kiryu as a secondary protagonist ￣へ￣
#I was so hyped for Ichiban's story to continue!!!#But now...#Look I love Kiryu#But RGG just can't let him go#He did not need to be in at least three other Yakuza games#but they shoved him in there#they are terrified of making a yakuza game that doesn't include him#and I don't understand why#Like a Dragon was a completely new cast and it was fantastic!#I feel like I was one of the only people who were completely unenthused when Kiryu showed up in that game#he didn't need to be there#not to mention the fucking trainwreck that was Yakuza 6#the final chapter of Kiryu's story— FUCK OFF!#the only way his story could end is either one final happy ending or in death#and they don't have the balls to kill him#so they kept him alive just so they could keep putting him in future games#Yakuza 6's marketing was a god-damn lie#rgg please#let this man rest#let Ichiban have his time in the sun#he's a great protagonist with a great character#let him carry the future games on his own with his friends#Kiryu go take a nap#yakuza#ryo ga gotoku#kazuma kiryu#ichiban kasuga#rant over
