Since I started to seeing hateful/anti rexsoka posts I decided to write this and make some thing clear!

I'll never understand why rexsoka is always receiving so much hate! There are much worse and even grossier ships like lukin or clonecest. Unfortunately my expectations were right, and Dave Filoni gaved a new reason to hate my OTP. For me there are 2 different Ahsoka's.

First Ahsoka is animated one, and second version is that from vision. I can assure you all, that I'll never ship underage Ahsoka with Rex nor Ariana's version with him.

I'll always ship ANIMATED S7 and up Ahsoka with him romantically, because she actually looks like adult and mature. In SoM vision she's literally still kid! If she's underage, I ship them only platonically, or Ahsoka is only having crush on him (and Rex sees her only as friend)!

I'll always write fanfictions, where they both are adults. If Ahsoka is underage, then I'll tag it on AO3, that Ahsoka is having crush on Rex and this is only platonically.

Example:

My latest fanfiction for Rexsoka Monthly features underage Ahsoka and is properly tagged, that Ahsoka is having crush on Rex and this is only platonically.

Meanwhile my newest fanfiction with smut elements didn't have those tags, so this means that they're both adults in it.

I'm never going to write fics, where Rex is fucking 14 years old Ahsoka and other shit like that.

Now next part of my rant/thoughts/whatever you call it

As I mentioned on the beginning, I still don't know why rexsoka is probably the most hated ship in Star Wars fandom. Many people say that there is huge age gap. Well, other ships also have age gaps. Just look at Han and Leia or Anakin and Padme!

I also don't understand one thing. Why those all anti-rexsoka's are even writing hateful posts? They're only wasting their time and are idiots! Who said, that I, or any other rexsoka shippers are already shipping Ariana's Ahsoka with Rex? I saw some statements from other shippers, and every single one of them annouced, that they won't ship Ariana. Y'all anti posts are pointless! You won't achieve anything!

And the last thing, in the end.

All antis must be terrible persons, if they really get mad, because they don't like someone's ship. I also don't like certain ships, but I'll never harrass/attack anyone nor write anti/hateful posts. Because:

This is pointless

I'm blocking tags/words, if I don't want to see art/fics with ships, that I don't like.

Conclusion: If you really hate rexsoka, then block tags and words. It's really easy! Stop wasting your time on being haters and go touch the grass!

You saw how many foreign nobles talked about the Queen of yours who married her Commander! And your friend—Ai-kel—we all know his father is a clone, but his mother can’t publicly acknowledge the marriage, so rumors fly! And that Knight, the Twi’lek, I can’t recall her name—her guard loves her, we all know that, but he won’t say anything because he won’t let people shun her! I’d bet you anything Rex is like that too. He—”

“Korkie.”

Ahsoka’s voice was strangled as she reached over and gripped his sleeve.

“You said though.”

“…huh?”

She pulled him a little closer. “You said though. Even though I like him. Not even if I liked him.”

Korkie blinked a few times. “Was I… not… supposed to… acknowledge… that?”

Morai is the oldest, and she has mystical connections to de space owl which makes her the Daughter sort of lol. She’s calm and stoic and serene which is way out of left field considering the family she was born into. I love her long flowing hair. she has a very strong connection to the cosmic force, not sure yet who her master would be but Obi-wan’s the primary candidate rn. he does have the most experience training eldritch abominations after all

Mereel is a lot more chaotic than her sister and takes after Uncle Ani a little more than many might like but I’m here for it. she’s actually force-null, so she doesn’t really connect to the force but she has a very profound presence that only a select few people can pick up on, including her mom + the skywalker gremlins. basically the force just follows her around on all her shenanigans like a guardian angel making her appear to be the luckiest person ever

There’s a breath between each of these interactions where Rex forgets that they’re on a mission with two false identities and not just two people twined around one another at a party, enjoying all that Coruscant’s nightlife has to offer. This time, Ahsoka’s hand is absentmindedly stroking his hip bone. The time before that, Rex could barely breathe as she traced the outlines of the glowing bones that Stitches had carefully painted along the bodysuit.

He doesn’t kid himself. He knows better than to think she’s actually interested in him. For as long as he’s fought alongside her, she’s enjoyed throwing herself fully into whatever role is asked of her. Surely this mission is no different.

3. What tropes do you like writing about the most?

Oooooh, that's actually really hard. Idk if I've written enough trope-y things to say for sure, but going off my many (many) story ideas...

Idk if it's really a trope, but I absolutely LOVE writing crossovers/fusions. I think they're super fun and not enough ppl do them and I really like writing them a certain way where all the characters that I shoved in are, like, on the outskirts of whatever shit's going down in the canon of the universe they're guest-starring in. For other fusions, I like swaying them so that they have a neat twist that's unique to the original content. (pay no attention to the hoard of romcom Rexsoka fics are spilling out of my Pinterest--)

Otherwise, I really, really fuck with hurt/comfort. Like, the angstiest hurt/comfort. Idk if I ever actually get around to the comfort, but I write a whole lot of angst all on my lonesome and then promise that there's fluffy comfort, but I don't think it ever actually leave my head at that point, ha ha!

Okay, last one is definitely just a remnant of my childhood, but there are a couple of stories that retain this: the children of characters. Again, probably not an actual trope, but I love writing about/guest-starring/etc kids of characters. I don't do it too often anymore, but there are a couple OCs near and dear to my heart. (once I finish writing the epic I have only vaguely planned it's over for everyone--)

1. ride or die ship (your otp): kanera, they're healthy AND tragic what else would u want

2. most annoying ship: reylo, rexsoka, obikin, anakin + ahsoka and clone + clone, i just can't

3. second favourite ship: chopper + crime they're so <3 (i'm kidding it's obitine cause i like the banter)

4. favourite platonic relationship: i'm obssessed with the found family trope so every family/sibling relationship, especially the ghost crew, the domino twins and the bad batch INCLUDING crosshair (also asajj and obi wan but in a funny way cause the amount of time they flirt is ridiculous)

5. underrated ship: bail x breha they love each other sm and raised their girl SO WELL

6. overrated ship: i can't say

7. one thing i would change in canon: padmé and satine not being mentioned in the newest shows, when they were so important and did so much for their people

8. something canon did right: the entirety of rebels, it's so well done it's perfect

9. a thing i'm proud of creating for the fandom PLEASE BRAG ABOUT YOURSELF I WANT TO SEE/READ YOUR ART: i can't draw to save my live and i'm bad at designing, i have many ideas to write but i lack inspiraton, but i'm always happy to read and reblog everything i see cause people here are talented

10. a character who is perfect to me (wouldn't change a thing): every clone, ahsoka, plo koon, satine and everyone in the ghost crew

11. the character i relate to the most and why: hera, four reasons: i like to advocate and fight for the things i belive in, i always end up adopting my friends, i'm also working on some issues with my father even tho i'm exactly like him and the most important one i would (i already have) fall completly in love with kanan (i wouldn't be so cool about it but that's why hera is perfect and i'm not)

12. character(-s) i hate the most and why: i viscerally hate palpatine, krell, governor pryce, the troopers that punched grogu and the zygerrians and hutts (they are slavers and i hate them)

13. something i've learned from the fandom: NEVER pay attention to the haters, it'll only make you miserable cause they already are

14. three tags i seek out on ao3: i don’t use ao3 like that, normally i find fics here or twitter and then click the link

15. a song i strongly associate with my op/favourite character: i don't have a favorite character but the one i'm currently obssessed with is Ezra and the song is Vienna by Billy Joel (mainly bc i like to imagine hera singing the song to him)

requesting all your bitter thoughts on popular ships if you’re comfortable 👀

Well I'm probably already gonna get crucified by a lot of people in this fandom for pointing out what ships I find uncomfortable, so why not?

I'll talk about my beef about the fandom depiction of those four ships specifically, because they're the ones riling me up the most whenever I go into the tags.

---

Dinluke

I usually don't go anywhere near Mandalorian content (mostly because I haven't watched the show and would like to one day do so at my own pace instead of being pressured into doing so), so finding this ship in tags it doesn't belong to irks me to no end.

I've seen a few bits and pieces that aren't bad, but 90% of the content I've stumbled upon is written or drawn very out of character to the point I'm not sure I'm seeing the characters that are supposedly being depicted.

Trope-heavy fics where Din is aggressive or possessive over Luke are in bad taste, and I hate that a majority of people seems to like this unhealthy and somewhat racist dynamic.

They just honestly don't have any chemistry from what I can tell and the only commonality between them is that they were trying to be there for Grogu in their own way. And then Luke shrugged his shoulders and sent the kid off on his own into an active turf war. That's it.

Bobadin

The fetishisation is strong in this one. Anyone with a twitter account can see what I mean.

It started out as a fairly respectable ship and then it descended into 'fic writing for clout' territory.

You can tell when the author or artist doesn't care much for the characters themselves or their history, and are just putting them in situations where they can be nasty for no reason other than 'this will get me views'.

I have seen some skin crawling content online that really shouldn't have ever spilled out of anyone's brain to ever see the light of day, and no I will not put myself through explaining someone else's weird S&M fetish.

Foxiyo

Gateway ship. It's like Rexsoka, but with a vague cover of legality behind it, because supposedly Riyo Chuchi is a consenting adult.

The most prevalent dynamics depicting this ship are often disrespectful towards Fox and other clones (sometimes infantilising, other times hypersexualising), plus Riyo is written in a way that makes her seem less like an adult and more like a naive child.

Major red flags on this one.

Codywan

A ship that works if written well and respectfully, which is tragically not the case for 99% of times.

Writing Obi-wan as the perfect man with a savior complex that can do no wrong, while Cody is just his basic trophy husband with no personality or skills is... Yikes...

Lets not even talk about all the fetish stuff that goes unchecked half the time. I have seen too much that honest to god rubs me the wrong way.

They say sparsity of actual good content should make it worth more, but in this case I feel like the less good Codywan stuff there is, the more badly written content crops up to fill the void...

send me a made-up fic title and i'll tell you what i would write to go with it

He Cried Wolf: gonna go with comedy with this and make Boba be decidedly bratty as a five-year-old because he knows he’s Jango’s favourite (he’s a kid, and kids get a little bratty sometimes) and shoves this knowledge to the Nulls because they’re the same age. Every time they try to get back at him, Boba releases his extra big crocodile tears because he said Ordo was going to flush his head down the toilet bowl, when they were only threats and he hadn’t done anything to the brat— I mean, to the kid. He was being a brat, anyway. (Ordo totally did that in Repcomm, btw)

Very Littlest Sibling behaviour, the clones are infuriated.

The Stars are Falling and There’s Nothing You Can Do to Stop Them: Sith au with Luke and Leia where Luke actually accepts Vader’s attempt to recruit him into the Empire. Luke and Vader kill Sidious, Vader lets Luke take over the throne as the new Emperor, and Leia watches this from a distance while the horror of everything going into a clusterfuck catches on fire around her.

Both Luke and Vader try to pull her into joining them, but Luke’s the one who approaches Leia because they both know she’d kill Vader on sight if he was in the same room with her. He’s gentle about it, maybe he uses their bond as twins to feed whatever intense emotions and full intent both Luke and Vader are feeling to the point Leia gets so overwhelmed and overpowered that it took all of her energy to fight them off.

And when she finally joins them, there are two rulers, two voids of darkness within the Force, their father as their attack dog, and the galaxy is powerless to stop them.

Golden Patch On Me: Qui-Gon Lives au where he gets to be Anakin’s Jedi Master and Obi-Wan gets to be knighted into a Jedi Knight; which happens to be the worst idea Qui-Gon ever did because now, he has all of his former padawans and now current padawan ganging up on him whenever they can.

It was Anakin’s idea for the golden star sticker every time someone does a good deed. Obi-Wan keeps them in his notebook, Xan (who doesn’t Fall) sticks a bunch of them on the back of his datapad, and Feemor has them on anywhere Anakin can see. Only Qui-Gon hasn’t gotten them yet and starts to get a little miffed at how it’s clearly because all of his padawans are conspiring against him so that he doesn’t get a sticker from his youngest. You’re giving your poor Master a bad image now, Ani, when everyone knows the conditions one has to do in order to get a sticker. Have mercy on your Master, my young padawan.

Qui-Gon finally gets a sticker for not getting himself hurt for the whole year and he shows it off by sticking it on his robe.

Debris of Our Adventures: 501st shenanigans where there’s a war on this secluded but practical planet that’s been sitting at the edges of the Mid Rim, and some cultural confusions has 16 YO Ahsoka finding herself to be a wife to a hundred or so men and women. She is so confused, the locals are delighted, Anakin is silently screaming that is my baby sister, and the men are trying to hide their laughter at their general’s very obvious vein that’s throbbing on his forehead.

Look Beyond Me: HMM clichéd rexsoka siren au where Ahsoka’s a pirate on her brothers’ ship, the Dominator, and they’re part of a Code of Hunters that reunites all pirates together into helping one another any time any of them are in danger (natural disasters, Royal Military, other pirates who aren’t part of the code, etc.). They’re Monster Hunters, and the Dominators’s reputation is good.

It’s a huge storm, the crew’s trying to wrestle with this giant squid/bird who is pretty much trying to eat them, when Ahsoka gets thrown overboard. She’s drowning, gets her head hit by some debris, and she goes black, but not before she feels like something, someone, is tugging her out of that mess.

She wakes up to the sun glaring on her face, her mouth dry, sand everywhere on her person. That is until she finds herself looking into a man’s face with beautiful blue scales framing his jaw, brown eyes squinting down at her with some amount of wary curiosity.

Uhh, idk, they figure each other out, Rex shows his many brothers that he’s found a human, holy kriff guys, while the rest of them are like Rex, what the hell, Dad said we can’t go near the humans remember!! He said they’re dangerous and a bunch of barbarians who have no respect to the sea and its creatures, and that includes us, you di’kut!!!!

Rex and Ahsoka fall in love, maybe they try to protect each other from their respective families, there’s understanding how the Hunters shouldn’t probably be hunters anymore and they shouldn’t kill sea creatures who are just minding their own business? And the sirens should probably not lure the humans into the sea and eat them? There’s a thought.
