I just feel like that there'll be a couple of things Restoc says that just really sticks with Eun while she was in Avelhein that made her reflect on it for a good while.

One of the few things that stuck with her is herself and the powers she possesses. I mean, she's not getting any younger and in like 5 years, she'll be 50 and soon, entering her elderly years. That made her really think about what's going to happen after she passes away and how that might affect a lot of people. Whether summoning might stick around after she's gone remains unknown.

The second thing is humanity itself. While Eun and Co did delay the inevitable fall of humanity, eventually humankind will cease to exist in Elgaia.

Those two major things leads to Eun having a discussion with Karl about it and eventually, both parents discussing it with Sky. Because as much as Eun would love and want to stay by their sides, that isn't going to be possible and she isn't going to give up her mortality because she knows that they'll also eventually grow old and pass away.
